Guest Reviews
- Christine (10/5): Back to nature, brilliant night sky, quiet, amazing views - The location, the views , the comfortable cottage Nothing
- Jennilyn (10/5): Relaxing and peaceful. - Thoughtful Nothing.
- Janet (10/5): Lovely cottage with plenty of space and beautiful views, would be happy to recommend to others. - A lovely location, the cabin was very comfortable, the owners had left enough food for a breakfast, including eggs from their own hens. The owner called by to check if we needed anything, very satisfied with the cabin and location.
- Cliff (8/5): Quiet and relaxing place to stay. - Nice fresh eggs and home made bread. Lovely wood fire. Nicely cut firewood. Chalet was spotlessly clean.
Nicely placed between a winery and a Thai cafe, close to Mt Barker and very secluded. Tiny TV is probably ready for replacement with something more up-to-date. No internet provided. Probably a good thing if you want to escape work but a slight negative for entertainment/social browsing etc.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional location, facilities and atmosphere - Self contained extremely high standard in everything
Great location and enjoyed it so much
Highly recommend Nothing
- Helen (8/5): - Wifi would be great as i had no phone reception
- Baillard (8/5): The cottage was clean, tidy and very comfortable, website photos don't do it justice. - Great care was taken to ensure the little comforts were catered for. Loved the hand made soap and jams.
Very clean and comfortable cottage.
Appreciated the information about local attractions and maps. The mattress in the second bedroom was very uncomfortable and seemed to be upside down. The owners said it was probably a previous guest that turned it. I wouldn't like to know why, but it was disappointing that this wasn't picked up before by the owners. There was also not enough blankets for the second bedroom.
- Nick (10/5): - Quiet and great location Leaving
- Moira (10/5): Very thoughtful hosts with impeccable attention to details and personal touches - Beautiful and peaceful location, impeccably clean and lots of thoughtful touches
- Alexandra (10/5): -
- Virginia (10/5): Cosy comfortable cottage. - It was lovely to arrive on Good Friday afternoon to our chalet. The fire place was loaded and ready to go, and there was a loaf of fresh bread and fresh eggs. Everything was clean and tidy, and worked as instructed. Gary introduced himself and invited us to contact him if we needed anything during our stay. True to his word, he delivered extra firewood as requested a couple of days later. 10/10! Can't think of anything.
- 2es (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Nice and quiet.
Property was super clean, smalls things, like eggs, jam and bread were great. Gary and Maria are good owners.

- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was very clean and comfortable. An added bonus was the freshly baked bread, eggs and jam. It is located within easy driving distance of walks in Porongurup National Park and Mt Barker. Very friendly and helpful owners.
- Derek (10/5): Beautiful accommodation near the Porongurups - Really enjoyed the home made bread, fresh eggs and preserves for breakfast. The cottage is very clean, well equipped, private and very well located for some beautiful walks Nothing- everything was perfect!
- Alec (10/5): Delightful. - An extremely well appointed, very comfortable cottage in a gorgeous location. Only three on the site, and all well separated. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing break and close to some great locations for bushwalking if you are feeling energetic.
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect place to relax and recharge for a busy Mums getaway! - We arrived late and the wood fire was lit on our arrival so the cottage was warm and cosy. The facilities were lovely and very clean, with everything we needed for our stay. Fresh bread, eggs and home made jam were a nice surprise.

- Graeme (9/5): Host Gary was very obliging. We really appreciated the lovely bread, jam and marmalade and eggs they provided - A private on farm stay with great views to the Porongerups.Immaculately clean and presented Nothing- all good
- Claire (9/5): Comfortable stay in a beautiful location - Beautiful location with a stunning view of the Porongurups from the verandah. Very comfortable beds, decent kitchen facilities. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Complimentary fresh bread and eggs provided the first morning.
The cottages are well spaced out, so a very quiet and private stay. Only downside was limited phone reception (just one bar) and no WiFi. Luckily, this wasn't a problem for our trip but may be for some others.
- Aldrin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (9/5): A magical getaway in a spacious tidy cottage on a remote location. - The cottage is located on a wide estate, owned and managed by the hosts Gary & Maria. You feel you’re in the middle of nowhere: complete silence, wide views and an amazing view on the stars (we saw the Milky Way!). In the morning you see lots of birds and kangaroos. The cottage itself has everything you need! It even has a washing machine (much needed after a week of camping). The kitchen is well equipped including a fresh bread and a couple of free range eggs (delicious)!
To conclude I want to recommend Gary for his hospitality during our stay, so helpful and friendly! None
- Scott (9/5): Superb - Fantastic location if you like to walk/hike! Its a short drive to many great options. The bread and eggs are a lovely welcoming touch.
