- Rudi (10/5): Unique. - A tranquil oasis high up in a hilltop village with spectacular views. Very romantic.
- Alireza (10/5): - We had an unplanned doctor visit in the morning of our check-in day that delayed everything planned in our day. I received a call from Angela around 6 pm saying that we were late for our check in and she'd leave notes for us. She reminded me that there is a roughly 100 meters of upheel walk and stairs. Then I realized my mother-in-law joined our trip last minutes and we had totally forgotten about this part. I asked Angela if there was a wheelchair I could use for my mother-in-law. She paused and said "we've got a problem" as the path is not suitable for elderly with mobility issues. She was so generous to stay until 7:30 pm for us so she can run the monorail for my mother-in-law. The monorail is for luggages only but can accomodate two people if needed. Angela was so kind and we were so grateful for her staying late evening to help us with the situation. My wife and I would go back to their place (no parents this time, lol). The place is located on top of the village and is very peaceful.

- Tjaart (9/5): - The beautiful remote hamlet location! Without a car, getting a taxi to or from Levanto was sometimes difficult with only two taxi drivers servicing the town.
Vielen lieben Dank! Klare Empfehlung Alles war super!
- Mikael (10/5): - Absolutely perfect, very close to the crowds of 5 Terre but so peaceful and quiet

- Mark (10/5): - A wonderful place to relax and take in the magnificent views of the beautiful Ligurian countryside. Perfectly situated high above the bustling coastal town of Levanto and the edge of the Cinque Terre, it's a great base to explore and sample the charms of the region. The food was excellent and our hosts most gracious.

- Mary Anne (10/5): - This is truly an amazing property in the mountains above Levanto. How amazing to be above where birds fly and just hear them sing along with church bells. What a fun way to access this property via a monorail. This is a beautifully renovated farm house from way back with a touch of modern features. The whole staff was truly wonderful. I would highly recommend a stay here.
- Anna-Lisa (10/5): - Had a wonderful stay here - all perfect in every way . Thank you
- Demot (8/5): Lovely friendly staff, joy to come back to after the crowds of the Cinque Terre - Excellent breakfast and lovely Dinners, Served on a small terrace overlooking Levento Access for people with mobility problems. Funicular stops working at 18.00. There is a back path from a road running above the hotel where passengers can be dropped off.
- Heather (10/5): - Wonderful staff - very helpful in navigating and planning Cinque Terre! Beautiful property, gorgeous rooms - spacious and very comfortable. Only thing to note and plan for is it’s a 30 Euro cab to and from Monterosso.
- Daniel (10/5): - Excellent views, service and character
- Peter (9/5): Amazing - Amazing views. Well furnished. Fun to find Not for those who can’t walk steep hill, stairs. Last who serves breakfast could do with help.
- Kristen (8/5): Don’t bring luggage - The view is breathtaking, the staff was so nice and so helpful! The hike to the room was rough with a full size luggage.
- Min (7/5): Beautiful authentic peaceful retreat up in the hills away from busy Cinque Terre- loved La Sosta. - Loved location, tranquility, staff Disappointed with the food which we expected to be of a higher standard. If we’re being critical, it didn’t have the finesse we expected and became a bit repetitive after a few days.
- Barb (10/5): Magical and quiet - This was a magical place, we were so impressed by our beautiful room and the amazing grounds and the best food….
- Kristy (10/5): Exceptional experience in quintessential Italy! - We LOVED our stay Al La Sosta do Ottione iii… amazing medieval home renovated with simple elegance and so comfortable. My teen daughter said she didn’t want to leave! The inn is situated at the top of a hill by a small village, and the beautiful terrace overlooks the valley with other villages dotting the hillsides. We had been in Cinque Terre and this was truly a wonderful choice and the perfect Italy experience for our family! Angela is a lovely, kind host who made our wonderful stay complete!
- JACQUELINE (2/5): - Although the woman manager was lovely and tried everything to accommodate us, this place is not what it is marketed to be. Remote is an understatement. We arrived at 2:00 from a long train ride to no food, no town, no restaurant near by, no air conditioning because the one in our room didn’t work and no taxi service that didn’t offer a window of hours. We were prepaid and checked out after 2 hours and didn’t care to lose the money. It was unhealthy hot in the room and outside was no better. We were required to drag our suitcases up a long dirt path to get to a street where a taxi the manager located would take us to a town we didn’t want to go but then had to take a train back to the town we arrived in. The manager again was lovely about it, helped us haul our bags and did bring us some cheese and snacks from the kitchen as I explained we were starving having not been able to eat since our train left at 5:00 and did not have food service. She tried very hard, but there is nothing that could have kept us there. Old a quaint is fine. Just old isn’t.
- Pamela (10/5): - We found a gem in an incredible region. Highly reccomend.
- Davies (10/5): Exceptional - Very unique - the perfect hideaway with excellent good and facilities. The monorail was a fun but essential surprise
- Patrícia (9/5): Superb -
- Roshanak (10/5): - Heel net en schoon hotel. Erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, eten was uitstekend. Omgeving is prachtig.
- Michele (10/5): Best of Cinque Terre - Amazing! The views, the customer service, and the food are top notch! I stayed here with my daughter for 2 nights. Located between Montresso and Levanto it added for more options. We loved to hike around the area and the cute little area the hotel is situated in is beyond charming and perfect!
- Armine (10/5): - My family and I absolutely loved staying at La Sosta. We kept saying how the hotel made our Cinque Terre experience. Please note that the hotel is up the hill so a distance away from restaurants, shopping etc. but for us that was the highlight of the place. We took a taxi (about 10min) down to either towns of Monterosso or Levanto and enjoyed the towns and then went back up to our hotel for a much needed getaway from the crowds and noise. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, Angela the owner is wonderful and very helpful. All in all a wonderful place! Highly recommend!
- Brandon (10/5): - We cannot recommend this property highly enough. It is a stunning property located on the side of the mountain, and Angela could not be more kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we learned a bit about its rich history that goes back to the Holy Roman empire. The food was amazing and this is just a short ride into Levonto as well as Cinque Terre. We will definitely plan on returning in the future.
- Marco (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Ovidio (10/5): - Due to medical reasons I was not able to navigate the premise. Angela and staff were amazing in helping my wife and I to cope as well as find suitable accommodations for the remainder of our stay. Would highly recommend to everyone.
- Mette (10/5): Don’t miss this lovely place - This place is a hidden gem. We loved every minute of our stay at La Sosta. It is beautifully situated far up a mountain with a spectacular view to the sea. Everything from rooms to outdoor areas are tastefully decorated and everything feels very authentic. Food in the restaurant was lovely and we had great help planning our trip to see Cinque Terre. Service was helpful and pleasant. We have to go back!
- Lyat (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (9/5): Away from everything - Beautiful boutique hotel. Unique location, peaceful and completely relaxing. Angela was extremely kind and welcoming. We had a minor problem that was resolved quickly, and we got a bottle of wine for the ‘inconvenience’, what a lovely and unexpected touch! Not much storage, but we were there for a short time, it didn’t matter.
- Malte (9/5): Superb - Very nice place on the top of Cinque Terre region. Definitely worth going there (rather for couples).
- Caroline (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A little remote but very comfortable with great views. It’s a 4 minute walk uphill through the village or monorail ride to the hotel. Super clean rooms. Hospitable staff. Enjoyed our stay.
- lianne (10/5): Spectacular - Amazing perfect for a relaxing time, impeccable service and great food. Highly recommend this hotel.
- Dara (10/5): - Highly recommended! Really enjoyed our stay.
- Anina (10/5): - Viunderlige dage
- Jose (10/5): Amazing boutique hotel - Absolute amazing and unique place. The view from the restaurant is stunning, the rooms are spacious and extremely clean. It made our trip amazing and is a perfect choice if you don’t want all the noise from the cinque terre hotels.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Unbeatable views - We had a fabulous stay at La Sosta. Perched on the most beautiful hilltop with an excellent restaurant and unbeatable views. Our room was lovely, as were the staff. Would definitely recommend staying here away from the crowds in Cinque Terre but you’ll need a car.
