Ich mochte die Terasse sehr, wo die Gäste auch gefrühstückt haben.Das Frühstück war toll. Für mich war die Nähe des Busbahnhofs günstig.

- Anja (9/5): Super B&B in Top Lage - Die beiden Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit – man hat sofort gemerkt, dass sie ihre Arbeit mit Freude machen. Jeden Morgen bereiteten sie liebevoll das Frühstück und den Kaffee zu und die Terrasse, auf der man frühstücken und verweilen konnte, war sehr einladend. Auch die Lage war super – direkt am Hafen von Portoferraio. Unsere Zimmertür war aus Glas, wodurch man leider recht viel vom Flur bzw. von aussen hören konnte. Da die Unterkunft direkt am Hafen liegt, war es bereits früh morgens recht laut. Die Fenster haben allerdings gut gedämmt - deshalb wirklich nur halb so schlimm.

Direkt am Hafen von Portoferraio gelegen! Zum Strand ist es fünf Minuten, die Altstadt liegt auch direkt um die Ecke! Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, man fühlt sich schnell wie zuhause! Das Frühstück ist top, frisch zubereitet mit vielen hausgemachten Spezialitäten! Man kann sich immer bedienen mit Wasser, Kaffee, Tee und Kuchen! Die ganze Unterkunft ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und freundlich! Das Frühstück auf der hübschen Terrasse einzunehmen war ein zusätzlicher Genuss! Danke für alles, wir haben noch zwei Nächte angehängt, es war einfach schön! Da gab es nichts!
- Alice e Lylou (10/5): 30 e lode!!! - Barbara e la sua famiglia ci hanno aperto le porte di casa loro come se fossimo parte della famiglia, ci hanno fatto sentire subito a nostro agio , cosa che ci è piaciuta tantissimo. La casa è molto bella molto ben arredata, curata nel minimo dettaglio e tenuta benissimo, ha un arredamento molto particolare ed elegante. La camera bellissima ed i letti molto comodi. La colazione sia dolce che salata, alcuni dolci addirittura fatti in casa, se poi si vuole uova strapazzate o altro le preparano sul momento...TOP!!! Abbiamo girato il mondo quindi soggiorno in svariati hotel, appartamenti e b&b ma, la sensazione di benessere e rilassatezza che ci ha dato al 28 b&b l'abbiamo trovata veramente in pochissimi posti, quindi tantissimi complimenti a Barbara e alla sua famiglia... Sicuramente torneremo... Peccato poter dare solo 10 come punteggio perché al 28b&b come minimo si merita 30!!!!! Tutto perfetto...

- Christian (9/5): A real hideaway close to city center - The site is in a side street close to the habour pier with some parking opportunities at front door. The place itself is very quiet and consists of a complete floor level that has been turned into solo rooms fully equipped with modern style furniture and a super pretty bathroom. We were welcomed by the owner and shown around explaining all the amenities. Don't be disappointed by the look of the building from outside looking a bit scrappy but the inside is very well made up and the breakfast terrace is sooo cool. You will stay close to the habour and therefore is normal to be eventually awakened by the cry of the seagulls in the morning.

To enhance the stay, bathrooms receive a light daily refresh, while delightful homemade pastries await in the kitchen each afternoon, offering a sweet treat upon return from island adventures. Ideally located, the property is a short 10-minute walk from major tourist attractions, the port, and a variety of local restaurants, making town exploration effortless. The absence of an elevator poses a challenge for elderly or mobility-impaired guests accessing the B&B in the first floor.

- Melfoto (10/5): Exceptional - Al 28 B&B Portoferraio on Via Giosuè Carducci 28, is an immaculate, beautiful, tastefully curated, art deco B&B apartment, operated by the friendliest and welcoming couple, Barbara and Andrea., who throughly enjoy operating their B&B! This B&B was booked way in advance, so I was communicating with Barbara early on about getting the ferry from Piombino to Portoferraio in January. We knew that not many restaurants would be open, but there were plenty of choices in our neighborhood for casual dining and worth the drive for a special one recommended by our hosts. Our room was warm, with very comfortable queen size beds for each of us, including cozy comforters. Breakfast (a true work of art!), was presented in the well equipped kitchen with a surprising abundance of home made items-jams, fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice and wonderful coffee! There was home made yogurt with amazing toppings, savory items and hard boiled eggs, to top off a sustaining breakfast. Everything was presented on colorful, plates, bowls, glasses and cups. We enjoyed breakfast in the beautiful dining room, on a vintage table, surrounded by plants, art and the sound of twittering parakeets. With our ZTL permit, we could park next to our building. If no parking was available, we improvised at the port with no problem.

But when you step inside and you open the door towards the apartment, it is just stunning! It was so big, clean, it smelled good! We had everything we needed. Amazing room, enough space, two beautiful terraces and a great kitchen. The facility offered possibility to wash, cook yourself, or just take a late night snack from the kitchen: Barbara’s homemade cake! It was amazing and we will definitely return if we come back to Elba! Nothing.

Close to just about evcerything: the boat, buses, the historic center, restaurants and bars, but still relatively quiet. We really appreciated the breakfast, with a wide selection (including home baked cakes ;-)!). The room was nicely decorated, and Barbara was such a welcoming hostess! As so often in Italy, the bed was too hard for our taste.

The apartment is right opposite the pier and within a few minutes walk to the old town, the bus station, the local beach and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The apartment was quiet, spotlessly clean, there were lots of beautiful artistic decorations, a beautiful terrace and everything that a tourist might need was there, including beach umbrellas and a very well equipped kitchen. The breakfast was also amazing and included a selection of home made cakes, cereal, juices, yoghurt, jams, fruit, cheese, ham etc etc. The communication with the host was very good, she was very helpful and provided us with some useful information and recommended some good restaurants. Our whole stay was perfect and we cannot fault anything. We would definitely recommend this place.
