Guest Reviews
- Stephen (4/5): - The room itself was ok but cold. There was no shampoo, shower gel or soap in any of the dispensers.
- James (1/5): Terrible - Nothing.
Left as refused to stay there I recently stayed at The Coach Hotel and had a very disappointing experience due to loud music playing late into the evening, which forced me to leave and find another hotel.

- Thomas (9/5): Would stay again - The pub Internet was slow
- Ken (8/5): - .. .
- Tom (10/5): Amazing stay. Staff were brilliant. Really nice rooms with different food options around - The beds are really comfortable. The bathroom and the shower are amazing. Really good value for menu The only issue is the window above the bed dosnt have a blind or anything to cover it so the light comes shining in in the morning so the room is light.
- Jane (9/5): Great location and accommodation - The staff were wonderful and helpful. Great atmosphere in the pub. Perfect. Sports tv and very chatty locals. Nothing to dislike.
- Michael (6/5): -
- Tommaso (1/5): - molto sporco
- Ben (1/5): This is a terrible hotel and I will never stay there again - This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We ended up sleeping fully clothed on top of the bed.
- Sarah (6/5): - Great location for what I needed that day.
Nice staff.
Kettle and tea /coffee milk in room. For Me bed was not comfortable
Mirror in bathroom to high up, I'm only 5ft 4, and couldn't use it, one soap dispenser in shower broken other one empty.
- Mike (8/5): For a brief, short stay this ticked all the necessary boxes. - The room I stayed in in the adjacent annexe was well appointed, extremely comfortable and perfect for what I needed. This was a last minute booking for me to be able to attend a major event locally so I forgot to check the ability of the Coach Hotel to serve food, they don't. My mistake.
- Sallie (4/5): - Very comfortable bed
Obviously some upgrading of beds, flooring and bathroom Constantly dripping shower
TV didn't work (v poor reception making it unwatchable)
Broken lampshades, some items/areas could be cleaner
- Darryl (4/5): - Location in a nice village near airport Staff trained to operate the pub rather than a hotel. Boisterous atmosphere in pub as well as the carpark until late at night (2am)
Room wasn't clean (dust noticeable throughout)
- Jim (9/5): Lindsey’s wedding with family. - Friendly staff, clean room and exceptional value for money. Thank you. JH
ps: Georgina was outstanding Nothing
- Tuffs (9/5): -
- Anna (6/5): Cheap place to sleep for the night - It’s in a lovely little town with several take always and a convenience shop. The people were just lovely. No food and it’s quite noisy but maybe to be expected as it is a local pub.
- Micheala (10/5): Perfect - I loved the fact that the price matched the room
I got more than what I expected for my money.
I was very happy
Very lovely customer service
Very nice staff
I’m definitely coming back again
Loved loved loved it I loved everything about it
- Ion (10/5): -
- Peyton (1/5): Disgusting - I didn't stay. There was nothing to like. We left after 5 minuets and paid to stay elsewhere. The dirty room. Poo in the toilet, dusty sides, uneven floor that tilted the bed, dirty carpet and extreme smell of urine.
- Oskar (4/5): If you dont mind dirty rooms for short stay - Location The bedroom was very dirty, one of the dirtiest room I slept in and I do travel a lot with work.
- Ssssssssssss (8/5): Great location, really friendly staff - Great staff and fantastic location for a stop over before our holiday. Value for money and would stay again. Nothing it served a purpose and good value for money.
- Karen (8/5): Great Airport Stay - Nice clean room, friendly, helpful staff
- Carol (8/5): - It was near the airport and OK for an overnight stop Mirrors were too low to be used by anyone under 5 feet tall
- Leah (9/5): -
- Annabel (1/5): - Room was new and clean. But huge skylight with no blind woke us at 6.00.
Small ornate door window ....light shone in all night from lamp post outside room. Major problem with lock on door couldn't get in to our room until 8.00 pm had to sit and wait in car...pub packed full of Friday night drinkers so no seats. We're told that couldn't leave our room as lock still dodgy. Next day went to funeral and were told door problem solved. Got back at 5.00 wanted to get back into room...same problem no access sat in car AGAIN for one hour 20 minutes . Finally temporarily fixed so we could get in and spend evening and night. Knock on door at 9.am to ask if we had left (11pm) checkout time and we were still I bed!. Cleaner very pleasant lady but shouldn't have bothered us especially after out two nights in the car!. A screaming drunk lady had to be removed by police from the ground outside our room on night1. There was another similar one a bit further away in the carpark where we were waiting patiently in our car....we were advised to lock our car door during the first incident. Although the room was very pleasant it made for a sad trip to Coleshill to say goodbye to a dear friend into a bit of a nightmare.. The staff were all very pleasant and apologetic to have two 80 plus old dears sitting in their car with no where to go!!
- Jason (10/5): Stayed for NEC, well worth it - Staff were really friendly, rooms were nice and clean with everything you'd need and the value for money was bonkers.
- Robin (2/5): Poor - Near the airport. No food available.
Early morning exit was via the fire escape.
- Samantha (10/5): -
- luigimassie323 (8/5): -
- Bala (8/5): Great value for money. - The room surprised me, well decorated and serviced. Staff were excellent and engaging.
- Alex (9/5): Great staff, great hotel - Great aesthetic, great location, cheap drinks, quiet. And a special recognition of the staff, who were incredibly friendly and really did go above and beyond for our stay! The room card keys were a bit unreliable and didn’t always work, meaning you would often have to ask reception for a new key card
- Sian (2/5): Never again. - Location It was filthy. There was a supposed leak at the property and while we was out locals had go into our room to investigate. We was then woken up at 1am by another drunk local asking if we had turned the shower off correctly as they couldn’t find the leak - this is where they said ‘ we don’t think it’s coming from this room as when we checked earlier we saw you hadn’t used your towels. Mould everywhere - freezing cold bathroom .
- Michael (9/5): Great little getaway - Friendly and local to NEC Pillows we're a tad lumpy
- Munt (8/5): -
- Sophie (4/5): - Location was good! Close to amenities such as Morrisons and Costa. Close to the NEC which was needed for my visit. Room was very basic, not as shown in photographs when booking. TV did not work properly and the kettle was dirty therefore did not use. The shower did not work properly either and the bathroom had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. General appearance of room looked tired. The window did not shut properly and therefore let in cold air.
My room in particular was directly above the bar and at the front of the prperty therefore I experienced a lot of light and noise pottution until 2-3am.
- Sharron (5/5): Like being the only non drinker at an 18-30’s resort - Close to airport and village amenities The disco every weekend from 7pm - 1am with constant noise from partygoers chattering, shouting and smoking below bedroom window. Not great if your flight is early morning and you need to leave the hotel before dawn!
- Linda (1/5): AVOID, AVOID, AVOID unless you want to go to a loud disco in a shabby pub with bouncers on the doors - Zero - awful experience. AVOID AVOID, AVOID, AVOID unless you want to be met by bouncers at the entry and music so load had to shout to be heard. After a long day travelling and trying to check in just before 10pm, it was impossible to even think about relaxing and sleeping there. No alternative offered but music so loud, terrible. Have to scroll down email all the way to see DISCO until 1am on Friday & Saturdays. I asked for a refund as I couldn't stay in a disco but refused. AVOID if FRi / Sat as music until 1am!
- John (8/5): -
- Lilly (2/5): -
- David (8/5): Comfortable room in the old part of the pub. The bear was nice and cheap. The staff were friendly - Comfortable room and warm. Shower room was cold
- Jayne (10/5): - Nice comfortable room not far from the airport
- Yvonne (1/5): Worst hotel l have ever seen, dirty, drinking hotel, clients seem very rowdy and rough, did not stay - Nothing This hotel is very shabby, does not resemble pictures from booking.com, twin room, tiny room beds pushed together, carpets filthy, bed lamps looked all beaten up, shower dirty, mold along the shower tray,
- Kirsten (9/5): -
- Hyde (10/5): - Clean
Good Friday vibes No windows
- Chris (6/5): It was a preflight stay so it worked for us - The staff are great, the room was a bit tired and and needs doing up. But the location near Birmingham airport was great. The night club next door
- lovedsouthafrica (4/5): Fine - Location Pub is ... interesting.
Room has the bare basics - bring everything youd need.
Didnt respond to two of my emails, one via booking.com and one direct
- Lynsay (8/5): Lovely pub in pretty village - Stayed in room 23, lovely new building in the courtyard
Staff are really friendly as are the regulars.
- Shaun (9/5): -
- Steve (7/5): -
- Gaye (1/5): Awful - Nothing A toilet door that didn’t fit the frame and wouldn’t close so no privacy
Holes in the walls everywhere
Room so small the twin beds were together as a double embarrassing when you don’t know someone well
Grubby
Stinking of smoking
Rats running in the roof place all night
The pictures of these rooms were obviously doctored
Very unwelcoming pub rowdy a bit scary
- Stonecold012 (3/5): - Close to NEC. Rooms were noisy. Even after closing time, people outside drunk and loud till 2am. Smoking area below my room causing room to stink.
- jema (7/5): Cheap & cheerful - We had a twin room in the old building, it was a no frills experience. It was a little worn but clean.
- Elliot (10/5): -
- Richard (10/5): - Second time we’ve stayed at the Coach House. Great location with a short drive to the NEC. Rooms at the rear are a new addition to the Coach House. Very comfortable and well equipped.
- Britta (9/5): -
- Liane (5/5): Würde ich nicht nochmal buchen - Zentral gelegen
Super nettes Personal Individuelle Zimmer ja ok aber
Verfleckter Teppich ebenso Flecken auf der Bettwäsche insgesamt nicht so sauber
- Wright (5/5): - The shower needed a good clean.
- Clive (2/5): Staff were lovely and friendly. Facilities rubbish. - Not a lot Wasn’t very clean, furniture broken , no where to sit apart from the bed, windows dirty, too hot, smelly, nowhere to hang towels, had to leave down a fire escape in the morning as doors locked downstairs until 7am.
- Chapman (1/5): Worse Night Ever - Close to NEC Bed springs digging into you as you lay in bed. No mirror in the bathroom. Bed base broken and propped up underneath.
- Kevin (4/5): Poor value for money - There wasn't much to like Very tired building yes it's an old building but really needs upgrading, very scruffy and dirty, the bedroom carpet was dirty bathroom floor tiles were broken and loose the whole room needs a good clean for the price per night it's very disappointing 😞
- Ethan (2/5): Read the reviews and if you complain you deserve it - Close to airport Just all around , generally grotty
- Zoe (1/5): -
- Gordon (8/5): -
- Ken (8/5): -
- Nikki (2/5): No sleep due to noise and smell. Carpet was stained with what looked like blood and cigarette butts on the floor. Didn’ - The road out of there in the morning Dirty, very badly maintained, a lot of noise from the bar. Especially when the hotel seemed empty but we were placed in rooms above the bar. The room vibrated from the music. Also smelt of nicotine

- Kerrycounty (1/5): -
- Sarah (4/5): It was ok for 1 night but cleanliness was poor - Staff were lovely Cleanliness
- Jordon (1/5): -
- Benjamin (10/5): Amazing yet again - Excellent yet again! And fulfilled my request from the original booking by allocating the room I asked for! Nothing!
- David (3/5): Awful - Nothing The room was very small
Holes in walls
Dirty carpets
Door not fitting into shower room
Very noisy from people outside in the carpark
Room inside a barn outside
Emptying bottles into bin near room at 1.00am
- Jesse (1/5): Smelly - The place was disgusting. Dingy and dirty me and my partner had to leave immediately after arriving would not recommend. Cleanliness
- Afeez (9/5): Excellent place to stay over the night, very clean rooms. - The young male manager is super exceptionally and friendly and always available to help.
- Leonard (7/5): Ok for overnight stay, ideal location for Birmingham airport! - None available No shelving in bathroom to put your toiletries.
- Michael (1/5): Stained bed linen never again will I be back. - Staff polite. Location is good. The building is run down. Dirty stained bed linen. Got hit with a parking fine when parked behind the premises.
- Darren (10/5): -
- Amanda (5/5): It was adequate - Staff were very friendly and helpful Room looked like it needed updating and a bit of a clean
Door to room didn't shut properly so had to wedge walking stick under handle
- Emma (8/5): It was fair x lovely staff x - Didn't have any x Noise from our room location from outside
I know it's a pub but went on beyond expected closing time x
- charlotte (4/5): - Adequate for purpose. Clean bed . Bathroom very tired grubby silicone (black mould) toilet seat doesn’t stay up
- Peter (6/5): Cheap and cheerful but with basic hygiene fails in the bathroom - Room was basic and pleasant enough with expectations being met. Comfortable room with essentials and fair on price for a single occupancy that had a sole purpose of being a place to sleep Bathroom was disgusting in places. Mould growing that could easily have cleaned from the poorly installed silicon throughout the bathroom and the shower tray had a lot of filth accumulated on one side. A simple fix to smarten and more importantly clean this up, which would have avoided this comment.
- John (9/5): - We was at NEC so not far to travel staff was great and welcoming very nice rooms and more to come more buildings but gonna be beautiful nice pub on the site too locals really friendly
- Maryam (4/5): -
- Stacey (3/5): - Location was great as it was close to alot of other amenities, staff was very friendly. Bed was really comfortable Room was unclean alot of cobwebs and spiders. Damp patch on floor/mould alot of stains also on floor. Radiator was on floor. One window was broke and boarded up wasnt locks on the very top windows. Also bathroom window wouldn't shut properly could easily be pulled open from the outside
- Pam (10/5): Handy hospitable useful to the airport. - Everything. The bar facilities were good clientele friendly. Atmosphere good. For myself nothing. Maybe for a family different. Booking of taxi to damm airport was good from the hotel.
- Isteqlal (10/5): -
- Lovina (7/5): -
- Paul (4/5): - Cheap Where shall I start?
- Julia (2/5): The hand soap had nothing in and was broken,We had to cut our night out short to sit in freezing cold room not hotel sta - The bar staff were friendly There was no hotel staff to be seen, no room cards we had to wait for staff to let us in and out, room was freezing and the bathroom was the same it was apparently the honey moon suite the bath leaked.
