• Georg (4/5): Schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - Lage in kleiner Bucht Duschboden krachte bei jedem Schritt, die Rollos waren teilweise defekt. Dreck im Badezimmer und keinerlei Ablagen. Tote Insekten in allen Lampen, Abfluss hat gestunken. Sind normalerweise nicht pingelig, aber nach der Kritik beim Checkout wurden wir nur belächelt. Es war die teuerste Übernachtung auf unserer Rundreise, wir würden sie keinem empfehlen! Bedienung beim Frühstück sehr nett, leider gab's zur Vollmilch keine Alternative und nur 1 Sorte Brot.

• Yaron (9/5): Good value, great apartment - We had 2 apartments - the view from one was amazing. The apartments were big and spacious. Everything was great We made a reservation for 2 apartment. 1 for us, and 1 for our kids. The apartments were 150 meters apart. This didn't make any sense. We were 5 and we could have stayed in 1 apartment only. The apartment was suitable for up to 5 people

• Joachim (7/5): Lage schön aber Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht. - Lage Für ein Appartement dieser Preisklasse in Island fehlte es an grundlegender Ausstattung für die Küche (Geschirr, Gläser) und des Raumes (Miniklapptisch an der Wand), Fernseher funktionierte nicht. Ausstattung z.T. Bunt und in die Jahre gekommen. Für einen Aufenthalt über eine Übernachtung hinaus nicht empfehlenswert. Nicht akzeptables Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Allerdings können wir nur das Cottage beurteilen. Das Hotel kennen wir nicht. Freundliches Personal. Hinweis doch nachzufragen ist sinnvoll wenn mal vereinzelt etwas nicht da ist, grundsätzlich sollte die Basis vorhanden sein.

The bed and the sofa bed were very comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the bathroom was huge ( and had a washing machine - even if we did not use it). Really a nice stay. Seems there is no ventilation in the apartment ( not even in the bathroom). Not a big issue for us, but not good for the apartment itself.

• Torsten (9/5): Sehr gut, aber.... - Die Lage ist super mit tollem Blick auf den Hafen, die Wohnung groß und gemütlich, die Ausstattung gut. Sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man das Schlafsofa nicht braucht. Das Schlafsofa sieht nicht nur extrem schäbig aus, sondern ist auch zum Schlafen absolut nicht mehr geeignet. Das spricht, so man es benutzen will, absolut gegen diese Unterkunft.

• Liselotte (1/5): Vies, stinkend appartement - Niets op het ontbijt na. Vieze stinkende kamer. Wij hadden 2 huisjes en het appartement geboekt. De huisjes waren wat aftands maar nog redelijk in vergelijk met het appartement. De bedden waren erg slecht. Het appartement was echt vreselijk. Er zat een keuken in en uit de afzuigkap kwam een sterke geur van knoflook en gerookte vis. Niet weg te krijgen. De afzuigkap is waarschijnlijk in jaren niet schoongemaakt. Er waren 2 verwarmingen in de kamer. Van 1 was de knop stuk en die kon je niet uitzetten. Dus bloedheet in de kamer en een enorme stank. Ook was er nauwelijks Wifi verbinding. Al met al zeer slecht! Niet boeken!

• Jennifer (10/5): Great little cabin overlooking the harbor - We had a quick overnight stay that was quite comfortable with a beautiful view over the harbor. The cabin has a separate bedroom - the bathroom isn’t overly cramped which is a nice plus. They provided shampoo. Check in was easy - just a few doors away at the main hotel & restaurant.

Ook al keek het allemaal schoon de afzuigkap zou ik aan doen, en daar plakte je aan vast. Hij deed het niet en het was wel nodig. De oven kwam na opwarming namelijk hele zwarte vette rook uit. Deze was ronduit zo vies dat hé je eten er niet in kon hebben. Dat was jammer.

• Angela (9/5): What a great place to relax! Made hot chocolate in the kitchen and sat in comfy armchairs perfectly positioned to watch - Spectacular view! Armchairs perfectly placed to watch it were wonderful! Yay - washer and dryer! So helpful on a longer trip. Kitchen was well equipped, bed were comfortable and the big dining table was great for spreading out my art supplies and digital gear. Door was a bit hard to open but front desk described how to work it very well.

Vraiment dommage pour un appartement aussi grand. Les ustensiles de cuisine sont très réduits. Le chauffage tournait à fond sans possibilité de le régler.

• Alain (8/5): Für Kurzaufenhalt gut geeignet. Für Selbstkocher eher ungeeignet - Top Lage, sehr ruhig, gute Aussicht und angenehme Größe für 5 Personen. Personal war äußerst hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend da wir allerlei Koch-Utensilien aus der Restaurantküche ausleihen mussten um sinnvoll zu kochen. Fehlender Geschirrspüler, etwas magere Küchenaustattung, Backofen hätte eine Reinigung nötig da Fett und Öl eingebrannt ist. Bei Benutzung kommen unangenehme Gerüche raus. Dusche etwas knapp bemessen.

• Andreas (10/5): Hotel mit Zimmer in verschiedenen Kategorien an traumhafter Hafenlage. Top. - Bei Ankunft wurden wir sehr freundlich gegrüsst und haben den Zimmerschlüssel an der Rezeption abgeholt. Es war ein wunderschönes, modern eingerichtetes Familienaparment mit herrlichem Blick auf den Hafen und den wunderschönen Berg namens Búlandstindur. Der Ort ist klein, aber sehr hübsch und ruhig gelegen. Das Abendessen im Restaurant des Hotels war hervorragend und für isländische Verhältnis auch preislich sehr in Ordnung. Das Apartment verfügt auch über eine Waschmaschine und ist daher ideal wenn man die Ringstrasse macht um in der Mitte der Reise seine Wäsche zu waschen. Dass wir nur 1 Nacht bleiben konnten.

No internet in ‘summer house 4’, take your device inside the main building, connect and “bring the internet to your cabine” was the advice ( approx 50m to main building)….thus watching in the evening Netflix in the lobby. No, this is not the service someone can expect from a hotel in 2025, Sorry. And not a simple commercial compensation was possible. Do not expect any goodwill from my side.

• Veronika (10/5): - Great accomodation! As a family we have been located in separate apartment = half a house ovelooking a harbor. Great view, superb fascilities with laundry and dryer allowing us to refresh a bit offloading our laundry bag. Additional nice touch is great restaurant in the main building which is serving dinner offerring local fish, variety of local and international dishes and choice of pizzas (Italians would cry but it was tasty, I would rather call it an open pie). Breakfast is served in other area, suggesting good standard variety of choices. Kids went for free - nice touch. Sleeping sofa in our apartment seen better times, so might be good to think of replacing it. The location is bit off the beaten track, so you need to build it in your route.
