Guest Reviews
- Gary (6/5): - Nothing fancy. Basic cabin-like room. Ok for a night. Mattress was lumpy (old?) so not one of the better nights sleep.
- mark (10/5): - A quaint 50's motel that is a great value!!!
- Robert M (8/5): - The room was very clean and quiet. It looks a bit run down.
- Fred (10/5): - Parking lot was a little rough. Other than that everything was great!
- Pavel (8/5): - Pretty nice motel
- Mary (10/5): - Enjoyed my stay. Building and grounds are a little worn, but quiet, safe and extremely clean.
- James (8/5): Dated but clean room - This is an older property in need of some painting outside. The room was very dated but clean. Tiles in bathroom were not in good shape. Virtually no plugs in bathroom or around to charge phones. It was ok but not great. Had a good nights sleep and left. Staff was friendly. Was very easy and quick check in.
- Shawn (10/5): - Check in was a breeze with reservation made online. Parking was a non issue with space available just outside the room. Good nights sleep was easily obtained.
- James (10/5): - We had a fantastic time! The people were truly friendly and welcoming. It was refreshing not receiving the fake, customer service smile, but genuine ones. The room was clean and quiet, and a bit dated, in a fantastic, familiar, quirky, comfortable way, which we loved.
The only minor detractor was that there was no apparent stopper for the tub, and we were looking forward to relaxing in there at the end of the day.
We are already discussing when we will be back there next, and are looking forward to staying again.
- Wilton (6/5): - Hot hot water had to take a bath shower didn’t work. Bathroom was super tiny. No remote for the TV in the room had to turn it on by hand The bed was super soft. They were pet friendly which was super accommodating with us having three dogs. But overall it was a decent room to lay your head for the night
- Brandon (8/5): - The staff is amazing. This is five star if theyd just put in some different beds/pillows. Will stay here again due to great ownership but will bring my own pillow
- Stephen (10/5): - I have stopped here twice for the night on my way through Colorado, it’s a great little place to get a night’s rest
- Lynda (10/5): - It is an older property which in itself is not an issue per say, I would say more electrical outlets would be good. Overall, it was very clean, and I enjoyed my time there.
- Alan (10/5): - This property is close to amenities
- john (8/5): - We were pheasant hunting with dogs and the room we had was great for pets with parquet floors. It's good value for the money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for the proce - It was good for the price, HVAC unit is noisy but all in all it was good .
- Angie (8/5): - The staff when I checked in was very polite and prompt. The room was small but comfortable and perfect for us. We also appreciate being able to have our dog with us! Thank you!
- jeffry (10/5): - Although its an older property its always clean and neat and has HOT water! I've stayed here for years while in Wray and its always dependablel
- Rachel (8/5): - Nice, clean, safe hotel. Was great for a one night stay, would stay again.
- Zelda (10/5): - The service was great, just need more than 2 pillows on bed. Will definitely stay there again.
- Barb (8/5): - The rooms are very clean. Bathroom was small if you have any height at all. Toilet low, shower head low. The staff was friendly.
The outside in desperate need of paint.
Spent one night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Lots of flies in room no outlet in bathroom otherwise not too bad.
- Christie (8/5): - Pets allowed and a small grass area was available
- james (10/5): - building is dated but stay was fine
- Foy (10/5): - It’s a good motel
- Kathleen (6/5): - Outdated, outside area and parking lot terrible condition. Room clean.
- Brannon (10/5): - No complaints.
- Hender (6/5): - The staff was amazing. The bed was comfortable.
- Rikk (6/5): - Just an old hotel. Clean and acceptable for the price and location
- Rachael (6/5): - So the bed was a brick and the pillows sucked. Coffee pot leaked all over the desk. And something bit the hell out of me as i slept. Towles were very clean sheets were to. Top blanket felt like plastic.
- Mary (8/5): - This is an old motel. I knew what I was getting. Everything worked,(tv, WiFi , plumbing), the staff was polite, they worked with me on a late arrival time…but this is not new. I needed a bed and bath for the night and it was fine. My only complaint was that the pillows were so thin, 2 still left me with my head in an uncomfortable position.
I was not there in the heat of summer, so I can not speak to the AC
- Robert (10/5): Comfortable Stay - Everything went well. 3rd time I have stayed there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Wray Stay - Comfortable, clean, friendly and so very very accommodating. Close to Museum and good eating within walking distance. Highly recommend. Thanks!
- Ryan (10/5): A nice place to stay! - Budget friendly place to crash overnight in a small town on the Colorado plains. Be sure to oickbup one of their t-shirts!
- Clifton (8/5): - Not a bad place to stay. It worked since it was on the way. It was a little below average as far as overall condition. The area seemed very low income, but we had no problems. Worst thing was only one place to eat, on a Sunday evening at 530 pm.
- Brett (10/5): - Nice reasonably priced motel. The service was excellent and facility was clean.
Thanks!
- Patti (10/5): - This motel had a 1970's retro feel to it. The place was clean, the owner that checked us in was friendly, and it was within walking distance to dining. The place is very reasonable for the price you pay. Will stay there again when I go hunting.
- Paul (10/5): - Safe and clean. Excellent staff.
- brian (8/5): - good location,good shower, thank you!!!
- Matthew (10/5): - Friendly people, good prices
- jeffry (10/5): - I have stayed at the Butte for years. Although an older property it is always clean and neat. I have never had a problem with hot water and the heat working. Brooke was cordial and very helpful once again.
- Kathleen (8/5): - Lots of flies but that was all over town not just at the hotel.
The parking area had some holes so you had to be careful walking through it.
- Tracy (10/5): - Clean and what you pay for. I recommend.
- Coleen (10/5): - It was very quite, the room was clean,we would stay again
- Rebecca (10/5): Comfortable no-frills stay - Room was good. Bed was comfortable. Better than what I expected. Nothing fancy but it was a good stay.
- Marsha (8/5): - It was nostalgic. We would have liked to have an ice machine on premise. The room was clean
- Neil (10/5): - Nothing stood out
- Cris (8/5): - Motel is old, needs the bathrooom remodeled, new beds as these are horrible
- William (10/5): - Clean and quiet
- CALVIN (10/5): - Nice small town motel will stay again at a future date.....
- Paula (4/5): - Good location but the rooms are outdated and the bed was horrible. Very uncomfortable bed. The tiles in the bathroom area are pulling up. The couple in the next room kept going in and out every 30 minutes or so in their car and then kept using the faub to lock car so it kept beeping until 2 in the morning.
- Joe (10/5): - A great value for the money. A simple, older motel with everything you need in a clean, quiet room.
- Karen (8/5): - It is a clean older hotel. Very convenient for my needs. And the price was right.
The room heater was not as strong as we would have liked(we did not report it) but they did provide extra blankets which worked out fine. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. Would stay here again.
- Cathy (8/5): - We were there just for the night and it was clean with a coffee maker and refrigerator. It was quiet. I would have liked another bedside light.
- Clifford (8/5): - Needed a place to stay while I was in town for a Greater-praire Chicken tour. Butte Motel ticked all the boxes of being walking distance to the in-town venue for that, as well as dining options downtown.
The rooms are quite dated, and my shower surround in particular was in need of replacing. But everything was immaculately clean, the room was quiet and it was very comfortable aside from the cheap pillows - all in all a bargain at the rate I paid for the night.
- Alan (10/5): - Parking right in front of the room
- jeffry (8/5): - Although its an older property the Butte is always clean and comfortable. I stay there every time I am in town.
- Zac (10/5): - Levi was very helpful during check in.
- Robin (8/5): - Rustic feeling
- Karen (10/5): - This is a little gem in Wray. Room was clean and quiet. Great place for a stopover. Staff is very friendly.
- Rkobert (10/5): - The motel is old but very clean. The setting is unusual with the butte immediately behind it. The little town is interesting. We were pleased to have stopped there.
- Bob (10/5): - Professional attendant, very clean room
- Cynthia (10/5): Cute Historic Motel - Cute Historic Motel located just below the Butte in Wray, CO. Short walk to Main Street and Wray History Museum. Very kind and friendly staff ... would definitely stay here again.
- Laura (4/5): - Mini fridge noisy, curtains on window do not block light, could not get wifi, grounds in rough shape.
- Michael (8/5): - The Butte is a great, no frills, hotel in Wray. Its my preferred spot to stay when in town, which is a handfull of times a year. Priced right, easy in/out, near main street. All that tou need.
- Nancy (8/5): - Inexpensive
- Alan (10/5): - I like the older property that is unique compared to the sameness of the "chains.'
- Timothy (8/5): - Good value would definitely stay again
- Mary (8/5): - The motel was a good value. It is an older motel, but was very clean. The furnishings were what you would expect
for a small rural motel. We were surprised to find it included a refrigerator and microwave. The water was hot and the pressure great. Don't be put off by the parking area or exterior. It is better than you would expect by the outside.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - While it was a little dated, the rooms were comfortable and clean. It was very quiet, even though it appeared to be fully booked.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was a very clean room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - always very friendly staff to myself and my dog.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice little place. Pretty clean and quiet.
Could use a more comfortable bed.
- Leslie (8/5): Love Wray. Great community! - Clean pleasant rooms. Wray is a great community. Very much enjoyed our time. Be sure to check our "Fourth and Main" for dinner and LaLa's for amazing baked goods!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Don't let the outside appearance of this older motel fool you. My room was very clean with new carpet, room was quiet and comfortable. Staff was very friendly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - THE bathroom needs repair.
- Jill (4/5): Cheap and it shows - The motel needs to be updated and cleaned. Carpet in my room was filthy and about an inch from the doorway. The parking lot needs to be repaved. Massive remodel is due.
- Brooke (8/5): - Very nice place. Only the beds aren’t very comfortable.
