Guest Reviews
- Timmy (5/5): -
- Terrence (10/5): - The place was immaculate, it was quite, no one there to bother you. The only thing that I would say is that the Air con was on the whole time with no way to turn it off
- William (4/5): - Friendly and reasonable price. Walls thin. Many foreign people speaking very loud at all hours. No consideration for others sleeping or having to get up early. Place was clean with many notes and stickers with rules. Seemed like a high school camp. The showering at night the pipes make noise and very loud. Signs about everything except what is important sleep and other guests. Beds small and fittings old. Everything very cheap quality.

- Teressa (4/5): It was fine - Location was good safe to park the car on the street, felt a little bit claustrophobic in the room My towels had heaps of hair on them and the fitted sheets had stains on them the pillows where very soft, not much space in the room
- Jason (6/5): Good value for money. - It was as expected to be. Was clean and nice.
- david (4/5): - It's overpriced just a fold out bed and basic stay st grandma's place 1/2 what i paid would have been fare .the tiolet and bathroom very interesting

- Bronwyn (9/5): Ada homestay was exactly like being in a family home. - Comfortable bed. Good communication with host. Long term residents were so helpful and friendly. There was plenty of space provided for food storage with multiple fridges for guests to keep their food. Good security. Clean bathroom and more than one toilet which was handy. I was able to get parking on the property which was a plus as there is not a lot of parking spaces if you don't want to park on the road.
- 1 (10/5): - Very clean and very organised Absolutely nothing

- Reza (7/5): Good -
- Margaret (5/5): ok but! - Noisy at night..from upstairs rooms..shuffling..banging..sounded like clothes dryer and moving furniture
Room a bit old smell
- Reza (7/5): 7 nights - I stayed here for 7 nights, and it has a great location. It’s a 10 and15-minute walk to the bus station and shopping center.
Unfortunately, the rooms are not well soundproofed, and there is only one bathroom and toilet shared among several rooms.
Overall, I was satisfied.
- Vinh (9/5): Superb -
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Nelson (7/5): Comfy, clean would be great if they got a drying machine though - Comfy, clean and the rooms were big enough to fit 2 people The guests bang the doors a lot
- Zackary (4/5): - Carpets where stained and walls marked up property management was good but overall probably wouldnt stay again
- Graham (7/5): It fulfilled my needs. - For me it was a means to an end. It was relatively cheap for the area. The housemates were quiet and friendly. I never had to cue for bathroom, toilet or kitchen. It was very conveniently located. Despite having a car available, I caught the bus a few times into the city. The lighting in most of the house is on sensor lighting. It is convenient, but when having dinner the light suddenly went out because I wasn't in the "sensor's field of vision". The lighting in the kitchen and dining area is extremely dim. I preferred to sit outside, but this being in summer was nice. I don't think I'd like it in winter.
- Karen (9/5): ADA Homestay in Docaster (Melbourne) - super location - Exceptionally clean kitchen, bathroom, bedroom & communal living areas.
Met some lovely young people staying here. They were extremely helpful with public transport info/details; being my first stay at this accommodation.
Fantastic location; just a few minutes walk from main road bus stops to Box Hill and Melbourne city No issues
- Milly (10/5): Exceptional - I had an incredible time staying at ADA Homestay. The rooms and common areas were very clean, spacious, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, with easy access to the mall and public transportation. A special shout-out to the manager for her incredible customer service. It’s clear that attention to detail and guest satisfaction are priorities here.
I highly recommend ADA Homestay to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
- Stephen (4/5): - I won’t recommend to anyone
- Sum (10/5): Exceptional -
- Morrell (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Zhong (1/5): Bad - This is a standard house with rooms for rent long or short term. There place u sleep was is not even a proper room. It’s a lounge got divided to a few so called rooms.
I paid for 2 night but got out after 1 st night. My room is just beside the toilet and shower with no sound insulation at all u can literally hear other renter pee, poo and fart. U trying to sleep at 9 am but those 2 old couples keep arguing in dinner area as well as upstairs bed squeezing noise. People come down to use the toilet at 1 pm and u hear everything. I was awake all night. Worst place I have ever been.
- Jade (5/5): About what to expect for the price, would be fine if others were a little quieter but not really something the owner can - Not much more than a hostel but with private room Long term residents were very loud until about 11:30pm every night.
Kitchen was often dirty.
Very thin walls.
- Bradley (7/5): Good -
- Bol (4/5): It was not worth the money I paid. - There was no breakfast The place was very old, smelly and dirty. The room was filthy and very outdated room decor. There was no suitable pillows abd the sheets were dirty and smelly.
- Warren (10/5): An excellent play to stay and highly recommended - Very warm room good heating and very comfortable bed.
- Judy (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (7/5): Good -
- Jack (8/5): Does what it says on the tin, what more can you ask for - Exactly what you expect and I say that in the best possible way. Everything was clean, good amount of facilities and everyone staying was very respectful. I had to extend my stay but then reduce the extension and the owners refunded my money without fuss The beds seem comfy at first but they don’t have much structure so your back doesn’t feel amazing the next morning
- Paul (8/5): Great for the price and staff try to be helpful. - Good room and facilities. Everything clean, especially the kitchen. TV didn’t work. Couldn’t get any channels.
- Travis (10/5): Excellent homestay - Absolutely beautiful perfect home stay everyone is really helpful and friendly, really lovely land owner 😊 Everything is perfect 😊
- Shan (8/5): Very good - Good value for money, close to Westfield, by car about 25-30min to CBD (avoid rush hours). Overall it was very good for rest. It might be because of the weather, the quilt had some mild smell of “a sweaty man”, pure personal opinion.
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional - Warmth and security of house friendly other tenants access to everything in kitchen nice outdoor garden area to relax
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Theodora (8/5): Friendly place, home away from home, safe and comfortable within certain parameters. - We had to buy our own food items, but all sorts of kitchen equipment were well provided. The caretaker on the premises was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The resident inmates took care the place was well kept, which unfortunately was not always followed by incidental visitors!
The wifi was excellent and the location too, with good bus connections nearby and a major shopping mall within 5 minutes walking distance. Cooking oil and condiments like pepper and salt as also sugar should be made available. For the majority of people staying there are short-stay visitors. It's not handy to have to buy these items for such a short time. Also, the storage space in the fridge could be increased. And storage areas for non-fridge items should be properly indicated.
And the separation of waste should be managed better: separate bins for paper, etc., properly indicated, as also who should empty out, when and where.
The TV in the common room may have at least some basic accessibility and channel options.
- Richard (8/5): - Close to Shoppingtown hotel.
- Rachael (9/5): Clean & comfortable - Very clean place kitchen was well equipped and the beds were so comfortable with fresh clean bedding Would of preferred 2 keys as there was 2 of us living in one room with different work patterns
- Kia (10/5): excellent stay! - super clean and quite
- Roesky (8/5): Very good -
- Jessica (3/5): wouldnt recommend at all sorry - comfortable bed could smell weed, wasnt what it said it was had more bedrooms and didnt have it to ourselves
- phil (4/5): Poor - Looks better on paper
- Ron (2/5): Canncelled on me, didnt tell me, yet took my money - I turned uo on that evening. Rang the reception they canceelled on me yet didnt notify me! My credit card has been debited and not yet refunded. Pathetic service. No one told me i had no room yet was all ok on the website.
