- Burton (7/5): Lovely location - Location was excellent the bar and dining room were really comfortable and the wait in service was really good. The upgraded room (photos attached) was lovely with a sand banks view, the bed was comfortable and the room had everything you could need. It was a little noisy at night you could hear doors opening and closing, voices from above and as the windows are not double glazed, the traffic noise, at times was quite loud. Breakfast was OK the waiting staff could not be more pleasant or helpful. Had to spend extra to upgrade as the room we booked was more basic than classic, in the attic and badly designed. With only 1 bedside table light and you could not see the large television properly from the bed as it was off to the left and even though it was pivotable you had to watch lying on you side, the bed was a basic metal frame. I like a room. I can chill out in after long walks this was not going to be it. The process of changing room was thankfully easy and without incident and the reception staff helpful.

The toilet roll had very little left on it, not a massive issue but would have expected a spare one at the very least, small detail but when paying £100 per night I wouldn’t have expected a limit on toilet rolls.

Receptionist Abby not only pleasant and welcoming but also kind and thoughtful touches - booked a cab for Mum and myself requesting garage pick up as weather not great. - Paul (9/5): We were very happy with the hotel and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! - We had an evening meal and lunch. Food was very good and service excellent. The medallions of Beef were exceptional. Someone in the room above got a shower or bath at 5am one day and the noise was quite loud. I can’t see what could be done about this except people not showering till after 7am🙂
- Chris (10/5): Fantastic stay. - Absolutely stunning hotel no fussing around. When you select your payment card before you arrive they just have it saved when you turn up. And you can even just tell them your room number at the 24hr bar and they start a tab for you. Beds were so comfy..ample sized heated bathrooms and the staff were so friendly. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a good weekend away its in an amazing location too.

- Margaret (9/5): Another good week-end stay at the KIngsway hotel. - I have stayed several times at the Kingsway while visiting family in Lincolnshire . It has an excellent location on the seafront and is easily accessible from Cleethorpes railway station, if you travel by train, although there is also adequate parking at the hotel. This time I booked a single room which, although not having a sea view, was very comfortabale, well-lit, and spotlessly clean. On arrival, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful and assisted me with my luggage, as the lift was out-of-order. They were also very helpful in ordering me a taxi when required and answering one or two other queries. The restaurant and room service menus offer plenty of choice and the meals I ordered were superb. The lift was out-of- order during my stay this time and the stairs are rather steep. However, I am sure that this will soon be remedied.

Though the decor is perhaps a little dated everything was excellently maintained and the staff were great. I only had one complaint, that’s the pillows. They’re god awful, lumpy and solid which is a shame because the bed was pretty comfortable. We were only staying one night so didn’t feel the need to bring it up. If we stay again (which I would happily do) we’ll take our own pillows.

Staff unfailingly polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Evening meal equally good. "Light Bites" sandwich for lunch was very nice if a bit expensive at £10 for a ham sandwich with crisps and threepence worth of salad. On one evening, at about 21:00, I waited 20 mins at the bar for someone to turn up to serve me. Either increased staffing or a bell push at the bar to alert staff would work. Similarly, on another early evening I had to go into the dining room to find someone to get me my room key; just not quite enough staff.

Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful, only one person a bit unhelpful. Meal in the restaurant was delicious and breakfast menu was good and food came out piping hot. Would definitely stay again. Drinks in the bar were somewhat overpriced, £14 for a pint of beer. Otherwise cannot fault the hotel or the bulk of the staff.

- Philip (8/5): Lovely upmarket hotel on the seafront - This is an upmarket hotel situated on the seafront with exceptional views of the Humber Estuary. The room was clean and the staff friendly. The facilities including the restaurant and bar/lounge area were very good. Just one point which relates to the car park. I think hotel residents should be ensured of a parking space which isn’t the case. The hotel attracts a large number of nonresidents using the restaurant who take up car parking space during the day. This needs to be looked at because if you go out during the day and return in the afternoon you might not get a parking space.

The bed was very comfy and two arm chairs in the bay window so you could look out to sea. The bathroom had a bath and a shower. The breakfast was amazing, I had fresh fruit, toast and jam and a full English breakfast. It was amazing. The toilet roll has too far from the toilet.

- JCLeics (10/5): Beautifully Traditional Hotel - A very comfortable, quiet traditional hotel, with friendly and impeccably efficient staff. We had a newly refurbished spotless room with very comfortable beds, modern bathroom and a fabulous estuary view. Breakfast was waiter served and tasty with lots of choice. Parking was a bonus and the comfortable bar and lounge provided a quiet spot for reading, chatting with a drink or just soaking up more of those lovely views. Nothing to add here, it was perfect for us.
