- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing - The cottage was too far from the main building as the weather was horrendous. No light inside to read - much too dark. Impossible if you had to do work. Food and drink was overpriced. No fridge in the room. The whole experience is way over- priced ! Might be better in the summer.

A few suggestions - place to hang towels as we don’t need them laundered daily, little pots of milk for coffee/tea, a powerful reading light.
- MrBadger (10/5): - The hotel is wonderful. The suite (Thyme) was very comfortable and stylishly furnished. The staff are all very attentive and both restaurants are excellent. It is not cheap but you get what you pay for and it makes for a special stay. Highly recommended.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The Grove is in a beautiful setting and very comfortable. The staff were all delightful. When we had an issue at breakfast it was dealt with beautifully. The atmosphere was very relaxed. We ate in the Artisan Rooms and had an absolutely delicious meal. Our only problem was with the lighting in our room which was not bright enough for us, particularly for reading in bed. We will certainly be recommending it to our friends.

Country house feel, wooden floors, panelling, open fires; large rooms with comfy beds and linens. Didn't try the fine dining, but 'normal' restaurant was excellent, as was breakfast. Highly recommended and owners / staff deserve to do very well.

My daughter loved the fairy door at the bottom of the tree next to the swing. What made it great though was the lovely serving staff in the restaurant. Always smiling, polite and helpful.
- David (10/5): Highly recommended near Narberth - We only stayed at the Grove for less than 12 hours as we planned to leave early in the morning to Skomer. The pictures at the time of our booking do not do justice to the beauty of this place. We were welcomed to a beautiful landscape to the horizon, greenery through out the premise was taken care of, and a wonderful staff. The staff looked after every detail and always made us feel at ease. The room was really clean with a gorgeous view. No noise issue whatsoever. We also ate at the restaurant. Dinner was delicious. Staff was again very welcoming. We had a really pleasant stay. What a great place to rest. If we didn't have plans, we would have definitely stayed longer. After leaving the Grove, we didn't feel that it was only a place to stay, but it also should be considered as a destination.

Food at the hotel was delicious with great friendly service. Our room was to a good standard we certainly slept well, a slight issue with the lighting in the bathroom which could have been brighter. Certainly another visit in the future.
- Alun (10/5): Amazing Hotel set in a beautiful setting - This Hotel is one of the best-kept secret. Amazing Lodge, we stayed in the cottage adjacent to the hotel which had everything you could want..Log Burner, Large bath and shower, Sky TV, lovely queen size bed and amazing views. The food was out of this world with plenty of choices and everything made from fresh local produce. The staff were so friendly and genuine and nothing was too much trouble. I don't normally write reviews but I really can't fault this hotel. It is absolutely faultless...5 Stars.. Can't wait to go back

- Christopher (10/5): The Grove was first class from start to finish - Warm welcome, escorted to our room via a quick guide of the facilities. The room was clean, spacious, quite and comfortable. All our meals were excellent, we ate in the artisan rooms both nights and found all the courses enjoyable. Ham Terrine, soup and braised feather blade are to be recommended. It rained most of the weekend so we spent more time than planned around the hotel which was no problem, we were thoroughly relaxed by the time we left. Dogs were welcomed but alternative rooms were provided for those who do not want their attention. All in all a very relaxed and enjoyable weekend.

- samantha (10/5): Beautiful 5 star country hotel close to amenities - My husband and I and our 18 month old stayed at the grove for a long weekend celebrating our anniversary. We couldn’t fault the hotel staff or atmosphere. Great for young families with kids very accommodating. Attention to detail in our room with cot for our daughter amongst other necessities for our toddler was much appreciated. We had treatments and these were done in our room. Was a nice touch although the hotel could do with a separate spa with sauna and steam room so keeping the facilities separate. Food was cheesy good and catered for cu9ldren also. There is a secret garden for the little ones to run around outside. Narberth as a little village was stunning many shops and places to eat. All beaches for Tenby and others close by. We went to folly farm which is a 15 min drive from the hotel. Would definitely recommend and go again.
- panda (6/5): - Pros-Lovely location and beautiful grounds. Rooms are nicely appointed, but don't expect anything too fancy. Breakfast is excellent. Cons- room facilities stra gely outdated. Nice decor but nothing exceptional. Unfortunately room cleanliness major issue. Carpets dirty and stained, and room covered in dust. Couldn't use my bath or shower as the shower curtain stank of damp- had to have a quick shower with the hand shower to avoid splashing the floor as could not stand smell of the shower curtain. A real shame as the bathrooms were nicely done and perfect for a nice long soak. Fed this back to the hotel staff, who apologized but it was all too late to do anything about. Also found the environment overly stuffy- sat outside for a drink in the garden but environment was such that everyone was sat in silence and scared to speak. Same vibe in the breakfast room It's down to the staff to make the environment relaxed yet informal- guests in the UK will only follow what everyone else is doing! Wouldn't recommend for those with families- you would be mortified if your child kicked up a fuss! Overall it's a shame as wonderful location and lovely set up of cottages and rooms. Just need to really pay attention to housekeeping standards and room amenities if you are going to charge in excess of ÂŁ200 a night - expect a shower screen and clean carpets at the bare minimum.

The hotel has many fascinatingly decorated lounges and 2 dining rooms. The food is very good but expensive, although no more than you would expect in a hotel like this. Would highly recommend.

The food (we had breakfast in dinner) were both sensational and the sommelier was great. Her recommendations and knowledge were both superb. All staff were eager to advise on locations to visit and were all very knowledgeable about the lunch cal area. The rooms were fantastic, we had a cottage with an amazingly deep free standing bath which was wonderful after days running and hiking the coastline. The weather was also fantastic. 3 days of bright blue sky and no rain in April. The Grove is also very dog friendly which was greatly appreciated - thank you Louise. We will definitely be back soon.
