D7148MYpeggyw (2/5): Pass this one up. - This was by far one the nastiest motel we’ve ever stayed in. We were too tired to leave and go elsewhere after traveling all day. The reviews seemed really good. There was damaged pieces of wall in the bathroom, hair and filth on the floors up against the wall. The sheets were even put on inside out, however that didn’t cause a problem. lol. The sprinkler system was covered in dust. We would definitely not stay here again. One night was enough. On a positive note, the location was good. Close to restaurants and shopping.

Jim (3/5): Not Clean - hair everywhere - It was an easy late check in and the guy was really nice. The sheets had hair on them and I had to ask for a new set of clean sheets and it was already last when we checked in. There was dirty wash cloth left in the bathroom across the top of the shower rod. There was hair in the bathroom floor. By this time I was wondering if the room has been cleaned and someone had just made the beds up. During breakfast they ran out of biscuit and gravy and did not replace it before we checked out.

Sara (6/5): Holiday Inn Express Gainesville GA - The WiFi, tvs, and elevators were all out due to a lightning strike earlier in the week. When we arrived there was no AC in the stairwell or hallways in August in GA. Breakfast service was a little awkward with employees standing in front of the food discussing how to serve it. There were several signs missing. The water dispenser in the juice machine was out and there wasn’t any water offered in the lobby like there usually is. When we asked for water we were offered a cup for tap water from the bathroom before they finally decided we could have a “free” water bottle. We are usually really happy with Holiday Inn Express, but this was a disappointment. There was no one at the counter when we checked out to discuss our concerns with.
Heather (2/5): Poor Stay...Do better! - The staff was friendly however, unfortunately, that was the only positive from our stay there. We had to move rooms because there was a small black jumping bug that jumped on my daughter when she sat on the bed. Then the next morning the guy doing the food, was slow to get food out. They did not have hardly anything out to choose from even though they has plenty of space for all the food options. We waited over 35mis for him to replace the pancake batter bag, which he never did. I would not stay here again which is unfortunate because I usually enjoy staying at Holiday Inn Expresses.

TerriT741 (4/5): Bad odors! - I have stayed at this location several times with my family. This time the room I was put in seemed a little run down. There was a smell I could not figure out. I came in late each night and left early every morning. I moved to another hotel because of the smell. The last night I kept trying to figure out where the smell was coming from and when I finally smelled the bed (mattress) I knew. It was awful. It was very late and I just went and slept on the other side which smell better. When I was leaving I told the girl at the front desk, who basically sad nothing about it. I later emailed the manager and got not response. I will not be going back or recommend this hotel to anyone!

Upon speaking to the front desk we where told it was too late to have someone look at it and the hotel was fully booked and there was not room options for us so we had to accept the room with no air for our family for the night. AC in the room was insufficient and did NOT work

BerlinG-ParisF (8/5): Night 6 of our 8 Night Adventure - We recently traveled 9 days/8 nights across the southeast and stayed at 8 different hotels: 5 Holiday Inn Expresses & 3 Holiday Inns. I will submit a review for each hotel and rate them based on the usual factors plus in comparison with others of the same IHG brand: 6th night-Holiday Inn Express-Gainesville, GA We arrived and parked in one of the IHG Diamond parking spaces as we also did on our return from dinner at the Texas Steakhouse. The same guy as last year was at the front desk and checked us in. He was friendly but not overly! He found us an upgrade to an HIE Suite #309. The room even had a safe. It was the usual HIE suite layout with bed, sofa bed, table, TV above drawers, the armoire w/ safe and iron, a ledge for luggage plus beverage area but still NO coffee station in room. (told at check-in?) plus fridge & microwave. Bathroom ok with just shower (no tub), sink, and toilet. There were plenty of towels. Breakfast: Better this time but still only 1 healthy item-egg white veggie omelets (no turkey sausage). Other hot items included pork sausage links, cheese omelets, potatoes, and biscuits with sausage gravy. Unlike most places, there was no bacon. A friendly lady was constantly restocking, refilling batter for working pancake machine, etc. They had sugar-free syrup as well. There were the usual juices (with water slot at one end) plus a station with freshly ground coffee and a luxury I even tried this time, hot cinnamon rolls! Breakfast overall: Good, but could be even better. In conclusion, I am glad we gave this location another try. It was better this time, especially breakfast. Everything was clean, and the area feels safe and has several restaurants, grocery stores (we got wine), and more. It is still overpriced, but that is due to the demand in the area for tourists to Lake Lanier and the north Georgia mountains (Helen). Of the 8 nights on this adventure, the was the most pricey at $161.10 (base rate) and $190.27 (total with taxes). We got a lot more for our money at other IHG locations, including a coffee station in the room at all others!
Larry (8/5): Visiting Family - Our room was clean and comfortable. The shower fixture was a little loose but that was the worst of it. Bed was comfortable and everything else worked great. Staff was helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Staff member that I met for the establishment was nice and could answer any questions that I had. From what I could tell all the facilities were clean and well maintained. Ice for our drinks was waiting for us to set up for the meeting. Everyone in lobby greeted us upon entering. This establishment is always well kept from the shrubbery to the clean parking lot to the restrooms, lobby area, meeting rooms. 5 star establishment easily.

I would definitely recommend to anyone that needs to stay a night or have a meeting! Ray is very sweet and is always willing to help out!

Dawn (10/5): Top tier hotel - The hotel itself & my room were both very clean, and the bed was so comfy and cozy. It may be a small thing to some, but the hairdryer in the bathroom had great speed and heat (other hotels don't always have a good hairdryer). I am disabled & the staff made sure I had accommodations close to the elevator to make it easier. The coffee bar was great, although more creamer options would have been nice. Staff was friendly, and the young lady who was coming to clean the room when we left was so kind & gave me a few extra minutes to get ready for checkout. The continental breakfast was good & the homeade 'on demand' pancakes were excellent! Overall I had a lovely stay, & I would highly recommend it! The checkout could have been a little later & even 30 minutes would have been very helpful, but I also was not pushed to be held to the exact checkout time by staff. The coffee bar could have had more flavored creamer options.

Know area to find a place to eat front desk is no help - Breakfast was bad paint peeling in hallway lobby view was ok from 3 floor room was clean Sausage and eggs were dried out over cooked first nite front desk wasn’t friendly couldn’t recommend any restaurants in area no knives in breakfast to cut sausage or eggs needed because eggs were so dry and desiccated and sausage so hard that you couldn’t cut them with a fork. Paint on ceiling peeling at one of the side exits
