The surrounding area offered plenty of activities, and the bottle of wine upon arrival was a nice touch. Maria, our host, was superb. She was attentive, friendly, and kind, going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Her flexibility with my late arrival was greatly appreciated, and she provided excellent recommendations for restaurants that catered to our dietary requirements. The cleaning service was good. The friendly staff left the place spotless every time. Compared to other places we’ve stayed in Europe, we thought this property was exceptional value for money.

La localisation est idéale dans le vieux port et à proximité de la vieille ville. Un parking gratuit (qui est rapidement complet en soirée et le weekend) et plusieurs parkings payants à quelques minutes à pied. Maria est une hôte chaleureuse, arrangeante et réactive par messages pour toute demande de recommandations et de conseils pour découvrir la ville. Je recommande sans hésiter.

- Βασιλική (8/5): - Ήταν όλα υπέροχα. Καθαρά, άνετα και στην καρδιά της πόλης, χωρίς καμία ενόχληση από εξωτερικούς παράγοντες. Αν άκουγες το παραμικρό είχαν φροντίσει δίπλα στο κομοδίνο να υπάρχουν και σφραγισμένες ωτοασπίδες. Επίσης κάποια άλλα θετικά για εμένα ήταν ότι είχε: σίδερο,πιστολάκι μαλλιών όχι απο αυτά που φοβάσαι ότι θα πάρεις φωτιά 🤭, κανονικό μέγεθος ψυγείου ,οπότε μπορούσες να αγοράσεις και κάτι παραπάνω ιδίως αν είχες σκεφτεί να μείνεις μέρες. Τέλος είχε και μια ομπρέλα σε περίπτωση που δεν ήθελες να αγοράσεις και να την πετάξεις μετά, η οποία βόλεψε πολύ γιατί δεν καθόμασταν πάντα σε οργανωμένα λόγω πολυκοσμίας. Γενικά φαινόταν η προσοχή και το μεράκι που είχε δώσει η κυρία Καραχάλια. Να το επισκεφτείτε σίγουρα αν πάτε στα Χανιά. Επειδή η αξιολόγηση έχει και την αρνητική επιλογή το τι "δεν μου άρεσε" θα αναφέρω το παρακάτω περιστατικό διότι το σκεφτόμουν αρκετά κατά την διάρκεια των διακοπών μου και με στεναχώρησε μιας και έγινε στην μέση της διαμονής. Ενώ είχα γνωρίσει την οικοδέσποινα απο κοντά με θετικά vibes μιας και ασχολήθηκε πολύ να μας πει πράγματα αλλά και να μας τα στείλει σε προσωπικό μήνυμα αναλυτικά για τον τόπο. Έλαβα ένα τελείως απρόσωπο email άλλα και μήνυμα μέσω της πλατφόρμας του booking που έλεγε: "παρατηρήσαμε ότι λείπει μία πετσέτα προσώπου. Θα σας παρακαλούσαμε να την επιστρέψετε αύριο./Επιπλέον, βρήκαμε μία ακόμα πετσέτα που ήταν αρκετά λερωμένη." Καταλαβαίνω ότι του καθενός είναι η περιουσία του αυτά τα πράγματα, αλλά θεώρησα απαράδεκτο και αχρείαστο να μου στείλουν email και μήνυμα για 2 πετσέτες εννοώντας οτι την μια την έκλεψα και να την επιστρέψω και την άλλη την αχρήστεψα. Η πετσέτα υπήρχε στο δωμάτιο όσο για την δεύτερη ο λεκές προήλθε από τα μαλλιά μου λόγω βαφής· δεν μου έχει ξαναγίνει ποτέ σχόλιο για κάτι αντίστοιχο. Να τονίσω οι βαλίτσες μου ήταν ανοιχτές και τα κοσμήματα μου και οι τσάντες μου όλες φάτσα φόρα, δεν είχα ανάγκη να κλέψω μία πετσέτα.🤦🏽♀️ Αnyway, οι πετσέτες είναι μέσα στα αναλώσιμα γενικά και κάτι μπορεί να λερωθεί δεν στέλνεις μήνυμα στον πελάτη τέτοια πράγματα ή έστω αν θες να το κάνεις θα μπορούσε να υποθεί προς το τέλος της διαμονής και σίγουρα με εναν άλλον πιο επαγγελματικό τρόπο.

- Nazli (10/5): Great stay in Chania - The property was well located for a stay in Chania. It is not in centre of old town which makes it easily accessible as there are two car parks nearby. It also gives you walking distance access to the port, many nice restaurants and cafes. The room was cleaned everyday and Maria was very helpful with her recommendations.
- Max (10/5): - We had a great stay at Porto Orion Studios. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Chania’s Old Town, with restaurants, shops and the harbor just around the corner. Maria gave us a warm welcome and shared some really helpful tips about the area, which we appreciated. The studio was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would happily return and can recommend it to anyone visiting Chania.

Perfect location, 5 minutes walk from the old town of Chania and right next to the harbour. The owner, Maria, is a lovely person. She recommended places to eat and visit. We asked her several questions by whatsapp and she answered us immediately. Value for money 10!

She gave us many reccomendations for places to eat, to visit and also helped us find our way around. 10/10. In the pre-arrival directions, t would be great to have a place reccomended nearby for parking, as Chania is really only accessible by car. However, our host was very helpful once we arrived and shared multiple suggestions of where to park next time

Perfect location, very clean, bed was comfortable, everything appeared to be brand new. Our host, Marie was extremely helpful and provided us with an app which gave restaurant suggestions, activities, etc. she also was available for personal suggestions. Very close by was a cafe for morning coffee and breakfast plus good food too. A free parking lot was within walking distance for our car. Also close to a small grocery store. Marie went above and beyond, leaving us wine, brought us pastries, water, and the most delicious Raki we had during our 3 week stay in Crete. We definitely would book here again. Marie was an exceptional host, and personal concierge too. An A+ unit!

Close to lovely places to walk through, restaurants and beaches - not a sandy beach but nice place to swim. Great place for few nights. The host is very welcoming and helpful, shared with us some great recommendations. Chania is a beautiful town, I hope we will be back. Free parking in a walking distance. Great coffee, orange juice and sandwiches in the eating place just downstairs. The balcony is not really usable (noise from the AC, but we didn’t need it as we spent most of the time in the town).

- Mihail (10/5): Great stay at a cosy apartment and a wonderful host! - I really liked the attitude of Maria from start to finish. She has been in touch with us throghout the whole booking and has been very kind and reliable as a host. The apartment we stayed in was exceptionally clean. The room was comfortable and supplied with everything you would need. It even had a makeup towel + vanity mirror with perfect lightning for makeup and skincare which left a very positive impression on my girlfriend. Maria also used the opportunity to meet us in person on the day off of the cleaning lady when she personally attended our room and we had a warm conversation. She also left us local baked cookies a day before our check out with a sweet note to let us know she was glad to have us as guests. Also our room was cleaned daily and clean towels and sheets were provided regularly. I am very satisfied with our stay and would gladly choose Maria as a host in the future! There was only one instance during our stay when the room ammenities were not restocked, but Maria was very quick to react to sort it out.

Everything from start to finish was amazing, and our host was so kind and helpful. Everyday the cleaner came and the host was so kind to bring us some traditional pastries one afternoon. Any questions were answered promptly and we were made to feel super comfortable. The location is spot on, even being within close proximity to all the bars and restaurants there was no noise from the streets in the evenings. Nothing.

- Salvatore (9/5): Superb - The studio is strategically placed at the boundaries of the old venetian port and it makes a good base camp for trips around the whole western region of the island. The flat seems to be just renovated, very clean, perfectly "sound-proof" and fully equipped. Maria is a very professional host: discreet but present, always paying attention to your needs.

Such a conscientious Host - nothing was too much trouble and we really appreciated her being available whenever we needed - she even waited for us for check-in after our plane was delayed 90mins and we couldn't let her know so arrived at 9.30pm! The apartment is in a great location - so close to the old town, port and beach, good restaurants, buses and hot dogs! We could have eaten all three meals at the cafe adjacent to the apartment entry. Their food and coffee were great. Well appointed, good size, great shower, comfy bed and Maria kept our apartment sparkling clean every day. We loved the balcony too. Despite the location, the sound proofing in the apartment was brilliant and we slept well every night of our 5 night stay. Highly recommend!! We didn't like that we hadn't booked to stay longer!!!

- Leisa (10/5): I would definitely stay again!! - The location was outstanding right amongst it all with a 1 min walk to the port!! The apartment was ideal so clean and comfortable. Maria the host was so kind and accommodating she could not do enough to make my stay so enjoyable. There are stairs leading up to the rooms with no lift and I overpacked! Needed not to worry though Maria helped take up my bags and bought them down for me she was such a massive help!

- Matt (10/5): Great studio, amazing location and fantastic host - Maria was a fantastic host, best we have had. Very attentive, answered all our questions and even gave us suggestions for things to do when we had to change plans one of the days due to weather. I would stay here again just for this reason. However the place itself was also fantastic. Very clean (cleaned every day) and the location is perfect a block away from the water. There was ample space for the two of us and a nice little balcony to sit on as well as a kitchen with all the essentials. The bed was very comfortable as well and we never had any issues with anything related to this place. Nothing, we had a fantastic stay.

- Kalina (10/5): Simply amazing. - The apartment is everything you need for your beach stay - beautiful room with all the necessary amenities, including a coffee for your mornings if you need one before you get out. The interior is so cozy it makes you feel right at home. Not to mention the hair dryer - it's actually powerful and you can dry your hair in minutes, not like most places. The location is right in the heart of Chania - free parking is just a minute away, and the old town and the Harbour are right there. Last but not least - the hospitality. Maria goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and enjoy your stay with all the right little touches and gestures - I won't spoil it for you so you can be surprised yourself. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again! It was so good we didn't want to leave.

- James (10/5): Fantastic stay at Porto Orion Studios! - The property was fantastic and my experience from the off was so nice, being greeted with a bottle of Greek red wine in the welcome basket was a lovely touch! Located in a really great area, and near to lots of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Maria was a fantastic host and communication throughout the entire process was really clear and concise. It was also very clean and the housekeeping staff were very friendly and always very helpful if I needed anything. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Chania to choose this property. I liked everything.

- Sarah (10/5): Excellent apartment in an amazing location - Maria was an amazing host. She was there to greet us even though the keys are available in a lock box. She even provided a free bottle of white wine and arranged a taxi to airport for us when we left. The apartment was great. Brilliant location right in the old town and only 5 mins walk to the nearest beach. Great little balcony with a canopy for shade. Bed was really comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Everything was exceptionally clean. Room was really quiet. I highly recommend this accommodation and Maria the host. We would definitely stay again if we return to Chania - which we hope to do as we absolutely loved this town and Crete.

Kept on checking on me being comfortable and whether anything else was needed. - The studio was clean, cosy, with all necessary amenities: fridge, kitchen ware, hairdryer, iron, clothes dryer. Was cleaned by a lovely lady every day. - The location of the studio is superb, next to the port. As the windows of the studio were noise proof, my rest wasn’t disturbed by any outside noises. Maria left earplugs on the bed table in case the guest is more sensitive. - The a/c was working well, so did the Wi-Fi.

The studio was spotless clean and has everything you might need during the stay. I had a very late flight so really appreciated that I could check in with the lockbox. The location is perfect as it is around 10 minutes walks from the bus station and its just behind the old venetian port with lots of restaurants and a really nice view.

The only thing was live music right across the street and on our first night we were very tired from traveling. However it finished by midnight and there were earplugs provided so can't complain!!

Loved the style of the apartment, there is tonnes of room. The balcony is small but cute. The room was tidied and cleaned a couple of times throughout. Overall, great. Only thing is the shower that isn’t very powerful and the container for the shampoo etc is not ideal. But this is a small thing !

Maria as host very good and responsive with any communication, before and during stay. Could be a bit noisy, (street noise) but earplugs had been thoughtfully provided if needed.
