- Larry (7/5): Inconvenient location and uncomfortable beds - The staff It is secluded from town
- Gudrun (8/5): -

- Nadia (9/5): - Gentilissimi e pulito
- Segura (10/5): Muy recomendable - Un servicio muy eficiente y amable
Tolle, extrem sehr saubere Zimmer. Ich hatte eine Badewanne! Das Pilgermenü war Klasse, Frühstück eher bescheiden. Toll auch der selbstverständliche Bringservice nach Hornillos.
- Ulrik (10/5): Perfekt - Dejligt stort værelse.
God betjening.
God mad.

- Trevor (9/5): - we had a great time with too much wine
- L Gail (8/5): This was our second time to stay.It was off the Camino but they provided - The staff and the food!

- Declan (8/5): - Lovely place to stay. Very good service including a drop to the Camino on the morning of our departure. Nothing that I can think of.

- Steven (9/5): Good alternative to Hornillos. - Nice hotel off the Camino by a few kilometers. The road to Isar from the Camino is not pedestrian friendly, but they will pick you up and drop you off, which is a huge bonus.
Nice little bar, and the restaurant served an excellent dinner and breakfast. Quiet spot, good alternative to those in Hornillos. Nothing.
- Adrian (9/5): We got picked up and dropped off which was awesome . Breakfast was ok - Everything The shaky headboards
- Yves (7/5): - The property was OK. Needs a little TLC
- Edgardo (7/5): -
- XAVIER (9/5): -
- Perez (8/5): - Buena gente..amables
- Leal (8/5): -
- Jesse (9/5): Superb - Food and service
- Eoin (5/5): I don’t understand why I was forced to accept a lift there at 2pm - The property was fine. There were only two other guests and literally nothing else to do in the town, but it’s July so I understand not much happens in the heat. I walked the Camino from Burgos to Hornillos. After completing the stage around lunchtime I stopped for a beer with other pilgrims. We were having a good time talking and laughing. The pilgrim meal in Isar isn’t served until 7pm so I really had no reason to go there for many hours. I’d much rather have stayed talking with my friends.
I got a phone call from an angry sounding man in Spanish demanding I confirm my name and give him my whereabouts. He said he was coming to get me. This is about 2pm. I was confused because I had not requested a lift or made any agreement about what time I’d get to the accommodation.
I asked a Spanish speaking friend to call the number back, which he did. But he couldn’t get any explanation except that the man was coming to pick me up. He was there three minutes later and I was stuck in Isar for the rest of the afternoon and evening because it was too hot to walk back. I still don’t understand what happened.
- Paula (2/5): Didn’t get good vibes here and felt isolated - Nothing Too far off the Camino route. Felt isolated - no shop/cafe. Nothing to do, so stuck in the room from early afternoon until 7:30 the next morning. We were picked up by shuttle bus from Hornillos del Camino and returned the next morning. Didn’t like to bother the owner/employee for extra drives in and out as he was the only worker in the place serving in the bar etc.
We didn’t eat here, even though there was nowhere else to eat we didn’t get good vibes and preferred not to eat here. There didn’t seem to be a chef on the premises. The owner/employee seemed to be a jack of all trades, and he said the menu was salad, or salad (egg, or ham).
Mould on the bath, and a wooden panel stuck on with tape to the plastic panel as a repair job. (See photos). Reasonably priced accommodation but I would have paid double for something better on the main route.
- Siobhan (2/5): Very poor - The accommodation was not very comfortable
The shower was inadequate
The pilgrims meal was poor .
- Anthony (9/5): They pick up from Hornillos del Camino and deliver back in the morning - They pick up from Hornillos del Camino and deliver back in the morning No air conditioning
- Jacinda (9/5): Superb -
- Miranda (6/5): Cheap and very cheerful - The service was exceptional. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. The dinner was amazing. All homemade and very delicious. It feels very tired. It was 35 degrees and none of the outside umbrellas were made available to guests.
- Riggs (9/5): Superb -
- Aislinn (8/5): Very good -
- Elise (8/5): Very good -
- Donald (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): Fabulous facility on the Canino - Pick up drop off. Great food. Nothing
- Jaime (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (8/5): Very good - Clean and comfortable. Had a good nights sleep. Enjoyed dinner.
Optional transfer back to the Camino route is a great service.
- Maan (8/5): Very good -
- G (6/5): Pleasant - the staff were friendly. The accomodation was a little off the route, they kindly offer a service to drive us back to the Camino route.
- Helen (8/5): Very good - Large bright airy room with bath tub. Evening meal very nice had vegetarian option. 3 km off the camino route but owner provided complimentary pick up and drop off service from Hornillos. Rang owner when I arrived in Hornillos and he collected me 10min later.. Drop off to Hornillos was 7.45am did not have an earlier option.
- Nancy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donny (10/5): You won’t find something as great as this place in the area. Impossible! - I loved, not liked, sharing great conversation with locals and the owner and learning about the regional wines. Miguel, the owner, is an amazing person. His food was right up my alley, simple and great tasting. I am not difficult so I went with what he gave me but he also said he had some other options for vegetarian people. Miguel is not just the center of the town but he is also guide for people who want to learn about the region.
- Udo (5/5): Nice but requires some maintenance - The owner was extremely nice and accommodating driving us to the Camino starting point in the morning which was 3 KM away. The dinner was good. We stayed in the front bedroom of the property which exceptionally hot. There were items that required maintenance in the bedroom we stayed which were normal up keep. The toilet was not bolted to the floor on one side causing it to tip when using. It also allowed a sewage smell to escape making it difficult to sleep. The rest of the building didn’t smell of sewage so it was unique to our room. We also could not shower because the glass shower partition wall was no longer in place.
- Sean (10/5): Good food and friendly people - Nice people All good
- Mildred (9/5): Superb - This hotel is located in a very small village. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The food was very good.
- Jonathan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Location
- Marcela (10/5): Exceptional - Awesome host! Great stop on the Camino!
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - Good wholesome food. Very rural and quiet. Great nights sleep. 3km off the Camino. The owner did collect us and brought to back the next morning but a little inconvenient
- Youngbae (8/5): Very good -
- Taylor (10/5): Exceptional - Big spacious room with extra sitting area.
Excellent pilgrim meal. It was 3.5 km off the Camino route
- David (7/5): While 3 kilometres off the Camino track, the hosts provided complementary transport. Lovely village, great facilities an - Very friendly staff. Complementary transport back to the Camino route. Good value. Great home cooked food. Hot room, but it is summer.
- John (8/5): A comfortable night in Isar. - The room was generally very good. Transport to and from Hornillos del Camino by the Hotel was excellent. A shower screen and slip proof mat in the bath would have been useful. Air-conditioning would have also been good.
- Fiona (6/5): Ok but if on the camino just stay in hornillos de camino - Hotel was comfortable No choice of menu. Hotel very isolated. The man on duty was rude as I only had my card he told me he only had cash. His card machine was broke but he never told me that. When it was fixed he was nicer
- Alison (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (7/5): Good -
- Marisa (7/5): Restful layover on the Camino - Room was quiet and clean. Dinner was delicious and reasonably priced. Owner offers free transportation to/ from the Camino in Hornillos. Wi-Fi was nonexistent in rooms, barely there in the hallway. Property is in a quiet town with no grocery or cafe, which isn’t a problem if you stock up in advance. Free transportation is offered but an early start time (6:30) was firmly rejected- 7:00 was the earliest possible. This is a problem for anyone trying to beat the heat.
- Romany (8/5): Very good - Good diner and transportation to el Camino path. No a/c. Would love to have a fan.
- Darryl (7/5): Good -
- Frieda (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (6/5): Pleasant - The accommodation The cost of food and drink was overpriced and the owner was not particularly friendly
- Lyn (8/5): Peaceful comfortable overnight stop to break journey through Spain to the ferry at Santander - Clean, comfortable room in cosy hotel in quiet village.
Perfect stopover from southern Spain en route to Santander ferry; and also for those travelling the Camino De Santiago. Very helpful, sociable host who provided a delicious dinner and good breakfast.
- Paul (5/5): Poor - Quiet Said flat screen TV ,just holes in the wall where it should be,shower screen removed so no shower
Dinner poor for price god knows what others got to rave about
Would not stay again
- Flavio (9/5): Superb - Wonderful place, lovely facilities, excellent home-style dinner and good breakfast at reasonable prices. good value for the price. free pickup and delivery from and back to the Camino (3km away) was especially helpful! nothing!
- Chek (4/5): Will not recommend for any pilgrims unless arrival pickup - Booking.com and Owner did not advised us to call for the driver to pick up from Homillos Bath tub too slippery and no shower curtain. TV not working
- Jeannine (10/5): great stay with good service - large clean room close to the Camino with a great dinner
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- Carey (8/5): Very good -
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - The facility was wonderful! Clean and comfortable. Dinner was outstanding, one of the best we have had anywhere on the Camino.
The host was gracious and friendly. Off the Camino, but still outstanding!
- Dave (9/5): friendly and very comfortable- good value - friendly host with pick up
nice little
community bar no AC
- Noel (8/5): Very good -
- T (6/5): Peaceful nights sleep - £93 slightly pricey - Collected by the owner from the Camino Path just 2km away as advised by another reviewer which worked well. The owner checked us in but was not a very cheerful sole!! Room was large, bed was ok! Bathroom good and cleanliness very good. The food was standard for a pilgrims menu, but offered only pork which I do not eat so had lettuce for dinner :-( which after a long day walking not ideal. Soup starter was very good indeed. Loved meeting other fellow pilgrims at dinner. Didn’t like the cost of a bottle of wine at 14 euro for local Rioja, which was 3 euro the day before. Didn’t like the owner charged us for a bottle rather than give us a free bottle with the meal which was advertised!! And as he did with the other diners who hadn’t bought a bottle. Felt taken advantage of, when he took back the free bottle when serving the food. And seeing we had bought the bottle from him at his bar 5 mins before!! The bar was full of locals and didn’t feel we could intrude by drinking in there. Outside space ok but nothing special. Gave us a lift back to camino trail next day and breakfast was basic. Loved the experience of meeting other pilgrims.
- Mrs (10/5): - Beautiful room, friendly and efficient service and delicious dinner
- Verified traveler (8/5): Grelt nok - Grelt nok, men ligger litt utenfor Camino stien
