- Sharon (5/5): short, thankfully. Understaffed for sure - Could have been staffed better. We arrived late, 10pm. after a long drive. Night clerk was alone, on the phone with hotel manager regauarding other probllems. Got the 'one minute' finger when we walked up to the desk. Finally checked in , found no toilet paper....called immediately . She said she would get it to us. 40 minutes later and two more calls and we just went to the desk and got it ourselves. so, understaffed for sure !

- Cantlin (9/5): Comfortable last minute stay with a great vibe - The room was very spacious and cozy and the amenities and aesthetics are wonderful. The staff were so kind and inviting! Parking was convenient. The bathroom could have been just a hair cleaner (there was a clump of hair left in the shower when we arrived). However, it still felt very cleanly and tidy otherwise.

- Susan (4/5): Would not recommend due to no hot water for showers. - Room was clean. Pool decent. Nice outdoor patio area. Local restaurants within walking distance. No hot water for showers in any of the 4 rooms that I had reserved for myself and family. Also another family member had their own reservation and experienced the same thing - no hot water for showers. We were told by staff they couldn't compensate for the lack of hot water since we booked through a third party. Basically, no customer service available due to the third-party booking. That is a definite deterrent to using third parties such as yours- Booking.com.

- Imee (4/5): Facilities are ok, but needs improvement. - The property was fine. Clean and the staff was friendly. Room 222- The shower’s drain was clogged. As soon as we hopped in the shower, the water would clog up. We immediately reported to the front desk and were told that someone was coming to fix it. Nobody came. So for the whole stay, we had to endure a clogged up shower drain.

- jazzy6991 (4/5): If you can look past the sports teams and marijuana smell... - I have stayed at this property in the past and was very satisfied; which, I suppose, is why I returned. Maybe this was an off weekend, maybe the property is slipping. When we arrived the lobby was full of sports team parents, trash everywhere - in the lobby, in the hallways. Not very welcoming, but hey, these days sports teams are everywhere. That said, our room was clean and comfortable, the evening was quiet. What tipped this for me was the stench of marijuana in the elevator the next morning. Unappealing. I do not expect at Courtyards.

Staff were friendly accomodatiing and did everything within their power to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The facitities, especially the cleanliness and upkeep left a lot to be desired. Especially since it was a festival weekend. Both the front and back entrances were horrible stained entrances thay simply needed a good power washing and scrubbing. The glass windows to bothe entraces were dirty and had spider webs. The elevators were not maintined same trash on the floor for three days. I PAID FOR TWO SUITES AND A KING SIZE ROOM AND HAD TO REQUEST THAT THEY COME IN AND CLEAN THE KING SUITE BEFORE I COULD USE IT. TOTALLY EMBARRASING FOR MY HOMETOWN AND. COURTYARD

What staff are there are trying but the lack of investment is starting to show!! Not a lot of stock in the bistro and several things out of order!! several guests saying no microwaves in rooms. This hotel used to be so much better!! Be thankful for the staff you have there that are quite literally trying to keep the establishment functioning!!

Nice outside patio with comfortable seating that overlooked the quaint downtown area. No hair dryer in room. A little strange since almost all hotels supply one now and I did not bring my own . Parking lot and road leading into hotel were extremely rough and full of holes. It was almost like a beautiful hotel was dropped right in the middle of an area just being developed.
- Nancy (8/5): - Everything was nice except the last day they apparently did not have coffee or it may have been coffee filters. Which for a nice hotel they should always have coffee for their guests. And it would be nice if they had a continental breakfast instead of having to pay for it.
- Jeffrey (1/5): Ghetto Marriott! - Location Lack of amenities in the room: (2) towels, 1/2 roll of toilet paper, no remote for tv in the room, outlet at coffee machine didn’t work, empty Kleenex box, (2) coffee cups. Went to the bar for a drink…out of whiskey? Really?? Had to go to front desk for issues as no one answered the phones. Most times staff were found out smoking by the fire pit! They should rename this the “Ghetto Marriott” as I’ve never been to such a poorly run hotel! This is not an isolated issue as we travel to the area every summer and last summer we had similar issues! We actually had to move rooms (4) times due to lack of maintenance!! This time they give us a room facing a brick wall…after acknowledging the troubles we had in our past stay!! Really?? I swore after that I would not stay again but because of location tried it again….NEVER AGAIN will I waste my time or money staying at this property! This is nowhere near the level of quality we’ve come to expect at a Marriott property! When will Marriott corporate management either replace management staff at this hotel or shut it down?

Employees hanging outside around the entrance of the building could smell marijuana in that area on 2 different occasions. Will not stay again . Front desk people were the highlight of the stay.

- Marvin (2/5): - We have been extremely disappointed in certain unacceptable conditions that we have encountered at your hotel, during our stay from July 8 to July 14. The complaints are as follows: 1. No Hot Water! During our stay and especially in the morning, the water for showering and shaving, varied from cold to slightly warm. 2. Lack of towels prepositioned in the room and lack of towels, on hand for us to pick up. 3. Lack of prepositioned cups for coffee or stock of coffee. 4. Lack of any prepositioned soaps or lotions for hand cleaning. They have body soap, shampoo, and conditioned dispensers inside the shower, but nothing at the sink area to use there. 5. The bathroom floor and toilet had to be cleaned up, upon arrival. 6. Front desk staff sometimes inaccessible by phone in the evening for questions/amenities. 7. Non-smoking policy in hotel needs to be enforced as it smells like marijuana and cigarette smoke for multiple days. 8. Light in shower starts flashing like a strobe after a few minutes of being switched on. 9. Need to revisit no trash can liner policy as the cans are very sticky and it is not hygienic. We purchased our own liners. 10. Some electrical outlets were not working, especially near coffee pot. 11. Light in corner of room was very dirty. 12. For the prices you charge, you should offer some kind of free breakfast. The staff has been very helpful in trying to provide what they can, as we have requested it. They had also allowed us to check in early on July 8,

- Grisselle (6/5): - The reception managers throughout the weekend were nice, and the premises were clean; however, our room was not. We found an old cheeseburger in the refrigerator, which means they never even opened it to clean it. One of the white blankets had a disgusting stain, as if it had not been washed after the last guests left. The towels were questionable. One set was hung, as expected, but the second one was on a shelf, not neatly folded, which left us wondering if those towels were clean. There were no soap bars when we got there, the body wash bottle was completely empty and one of the light bulbs was out. Finally, we asked every night (as per the instructions), and reminded the manager every morning, that our room be cleaned. We were there for three days and nobody ever came to clean it.

- Sean (2/5): - There was no hot water in this hotel for our stay. I guess it was supposed to be fixed, but never was. The room was dirty and had closed left from previous people who stayed there. We were told we would be reimbursed for this day because of the hot water issue among other things. There’s no bartender, if you wanted to get something from the bar at the bar restaurant, you would have to go to the front desk and have them call someone to come down and bar tend.

- Dawn (4/5): - Our room looked dingey, hairs in the shower no bags in the trash cans etc. There were sunflower seeds spilled in the elevator the whole stay. The pool was fine but tiny. There is no restaurant in the hotel, only a small bar with a few food options and a couple 1/2 empty coolers with drinks by the front desk. I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come out of the office to check me out. The next day i was charged for my room again by the hotel and i still haven't gotten a refund for it

- Pastor Anita (8/5): - Very clean - no service at all during the 4 day stay, left note regarding a need of 2 new towels, never addressed. Was given 2 towels when I asked at desk. Hallways and entrance was not cleaned regularly - Not bad, but obvious trash not picked up and garbage containers at entrance not emptied daily - overflowing.

Second room problem: Shower and sink drains clogged.... wouldn't drain. Third room problem: Toilet wouldn't flush. Since this property was built, we have stayed exclusively here when visiting my mother in Albion every year. Previous visits were fine but after this one we will really be looking at other properties for our lodging. Very disappointed... if only someone paid attention to simple periodic maintenance. The staff was most helpful. Some of the most caring people we have ever encountered at a Marriott facility.

- Stephanie (4/5): Friendly staff, but numerous facility issues - All of the staff were very personable and friendly. However, there were many overall facility management issues. The cafe was sporadically open. Our room coffee maker was broken. We requested but never received additional bath towels. There were no towels provided in the pool. We were staying with a large party and several of our friends had no hot water during their stay so were unable to take showers. There was broken glass in the parking lot that remained for the entire four days of our stay. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this hotel.

- Afzaluddin (2/5): - Upon arrival staff told us to wait, room being cleaned, while giving other people their rooms. The manager canceled reservation due to over booking and sent us to different hotel 20 miles away. That hotel stated your manager did not send payment for room and multiple days not listed in the letter she handed me. So we called manager then she stated for us to come back another 20 mile. The hotel parking lot was empty did not see overbooking. Apparently the manager was saving rooms for a nearby college event. When we contacted the college told them we are here for same event then room was available for us. Also said will reimburse for room and did not honor that.

Was in town to visit the college and, if we chose this college, I'll be more than happy to coming to visit my child as long as i can stay at the courtyard
