• James C (10/5): - This is a very nice hotel in the city center. The rooms are clean. The front desk personnel are very friendly. The rooms are clean and quiet. One lovely touch is a painting of wild flowers on each room door! The flowers on my room door were buttercups.
• adam (8/5): Mysigt och enkelt helt okej hotell - Ett rätt enkelt men helt okej hotell. Inredningen är nog inte bytt på ett antal årtionden, men det ger lite av en mysig, nostalgisk känsla. Badrummet hade en mycket märklig dusch-lösning.. Största minuset var servicen angående frukost, där det tydligen var alldeles för sent att servera vid 09:00 på en lördag. Receptionisten föreslog 07:30. Och kunde jag inte säga en exakt tid där så ingick egentligen ingen frukost.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Allt var toppen förutom att mannen i receptionen helt plötsligt kom och låste upp dörren till vårt hotellrum utan att först knacka på dörren. Vi låg och vilade så vi var på rummet. Han skulle ta reda på om det fanns en "teppe" (matta) i rummet. Osmakligt då man bor och betalar för sig, då ska man känna sig trygg utan att någon s.k. obehörig bara stegar in på rummet förutom servicepersonal som bäddar och städar.

• vikingimport (8/5): Clean, large room, great staff but LOTS of noise!! - We stayed at this hotel in August of 2015. We reserved an apartment and were very satisfied with the room. A full-sized kitchen with everything you could need, a bathroom with a shower, and a large main room with 180 x 200 bed (king), sofa, dresser with TV, chair, coffee table and bunk beds. We are a family of tall people (I'm shortest at 5'9") and we were comfortable here. The heat was an issue as in order to get cross ventilation, one needed to open a window in the kitchen which had no locking mechanism and it felt unsafe to leave it open. All the other windows were facing the main street and the noise levels outside kept us from leaving them open too long. It was quite warm in the room, a fan would be nice here. The staff were wonderful and very helpful with lots of tips for where to go and what to do. The breakfast was really nice, lots to choose from and many healty options like wheat breads, fresh fruits, yoghurts and juices. Very nice! The location is also a plus as just a short 2 min walk to the left brings you to a lovely park with playgrounds, running trails, beautiful landscaping and many benches and swings to take a load off. A short 2 min walk to the right puts you on the walking street with restaurants, grocery stores and other stores. Our only, yet big problem with this hotel was the noise. We were warned that this town is known for the residents driving up and down the streets in their pimped out cars blasting music but nothing can prepare you for this. It was loud, obnoxious and seemingly never-ending. At 11 p.m. the street in front of the building is supposedly closed yet there seemed to be no enforcement of this rule and so the traffic and thus blaring music continued to long into the night. This is nothing the hotel can control and I understand this, yet it should be mentioned such that everyone knows what awaits them. My kids loved sitting in the windows and watching all the old American cars driving by, and as they are VERY sound sleepers the noise was of no bother to them. I and my husband on the other hand did not sleep so very well.
• Rudbeckius (8/5): Cosy and comfortable. Family feeling. - This is a place to like, located in the midst of the town Arvika, next to a park. Clean and not fancy, yet somewhat stately in certain areas. Small reception and entrance. I was here in business and had a small single room. Good beds and quiet. Nice continental breakfast. I will return.
• Svenskamerikanen (8/5): Good deal, average hotel - We stayed here on the way back to Stockholm from the Geiranger fjord. It's an OK place - nice staff, pretty OK breakfast, and clean rooms. It's a little bit worn and dated, and it's by no means luxurious, but it's a great deal and centrally located.
• Joosmark (8/5): Good stop-over hotel - Friendly welcome, clean room with hot shower and excellent breakfast. Located right in the centre of Arvika, quite near the waterfront with live music and good restaurants. Arvika has a stunning lake with great canoeing and other watersports options from the Ingesund area
• Pedro75_10 (6/5): Big enough if you are single and on business trip - I was there in 2008 for business purposes. My first experiece with Sweden. From my perspective old style hotel, but clean and with good and friendly service. Location very good, with own parking. Not so far to the lake (few minutes). More than hotel I enjoyed Swedish nature, only a while, just some times by afternoons but for me fantactics, lakes, forests, house architecture .. Looking forward to go there again, and again to the same hotel. Time of travel below "February 2011" is not relevant (no other choise by advisor during publishing)
• Camper10566 (10/5): The very Best - This hotel is outstanding. The comfortable rooms and excellent continental breakfast have been most appreciated. From the moment we walked in the service was perfect. If you are looking for the ultimate best hotel to stay at in Arvika,Sweden you must stay at the Hotel Arkaden. From my first email with the owner to the end of our stay the experience was great. Expect warm staff and a diverse and ever changing small group of often interesting guests to welcome you, fantastic location, we were completely satisfied in all aspects. There is nothing impersonal or corporate about this hotel. Dont hesitate to stay at Hotel Arkaden. Words cannot express how pleased I was with this whole experience (keep in mind I am from Florida U.S.A. and the hotel is in Arvika,Sweden)different country and different language. And special thanks goes out to Iwan who I believe is the owner,he was wonderful and so was the price.
