- WOLF B (7/5): - Wonderful place The issue was that the property is inside the park. Foreigners pay a park entrance fee of 95 $ per person and night. So in the end really expensive. Also the park rangers at the entrance could not accept any of three credit card. They also blamed on us. But cards worked in every supermarket the day before and after. Took us ate in the evening two hours. And another the next day plus very bad treatment

- Adelina (10/5): - Inside the park, lovely view, woke up with a buffalo close to our balcony.
Plenty of nice fresh food for dinner and breakfast, got a packed lunch as we went on a safari.
All the staff were nice, helpful and attentive.
- Akinyi (1/5): No value for money. - Staff were kind and efficient. The property was outdated, the rooms were terrible and old, bed linen were not clean, we only had two working lights and the balcony was actually overlooking a bush not the park as stated. We booked a two night stay but ended up doing one night because the room was nothing to write home about.
- aitzolg813 (10/5): A True Gem of Hospitality and Style - My stay was impeccable from start to finish. The first thing that stands out is the kindness of the staff; they make you feel truly welcome from the moment you arrive with a warm, professional service that makes all the difference.
The facilities are exceptionally well-maintained, with excellent attention to detail and a design that invites total relaxation. Additionally, the culinary experience was a highlight: high-quality food with authentic flavors and beautiful presentation. Highly recommended!

- H9259DVpatriciat (10/5): 2026 Feb Lake Nakuru Lodge, Kenya - Catherine was fantastic at dinner! All of the staff are outstanding, helpful and friendly. Views from the room are magnificent. My husband is glad there are no TVs. :-) We could use more outlets in the room but that's a small thing. Room has a Double and a twin. Very firm, just the way I like it! We would have used the pool but there was a thunder and lightning storm.
- Laura (5/5): Overpriced stay with poor comfort, unclear additional costs, and service that did not match the cost - Fresh and various meals Overpriced for what is offered. Additional mandatory costs were not clearly specified at the time of booking, and the final price per night was much higher than expected. The beds were not comfortable, there was a strong burning smell in the morning, and the staff was not always polite. Overall, the experience did not match the price level.
- Sightsee62011149177 (10/5): Excellent stay. Highly recommended. - Excellent staff. Nice accommodation. We loved our stay.
Food is great.
- Curious26408961198 (10/5): Highly recommend - Great stay. People very nice and accommodations where great. Food was good with lots of choices. Great boat ride to island with lots of animals.
- Chetan (9/5): - Excellent Services and Stay was comfortable.
- Anik (10/5): - Beautiful location
- aquarian_India (6/5): Rumble in the Jungle - It’s has a beautiful view of the view from rooms as well from the restaurant and swimming pool area but you cannot spot any flamingos or pelicans from this distance. The rooms do not have any intercom facility, no TV provided in the room so u are to admire nature and soak in as much possible. Wi-if doesn’t work in the rooms and mobile network signals are very weak. They provide beds installed with mosquito net to save you from mosquito bites. Tea coffee maker can be provided upon request in the room. The rooms towards the lake has a beautiful view of lake and national park. The staff is helpful and quick in service. The chef fulfils ur requirement apart from the buffet menu also. They have good options for vegetarian food as well just a suggestion to add some good vegetarian dishes in breakfast as well. Food tastes really good. The room is basic with minimal facilities. Solar heaters are used for hit water so you need to wait for a while until hot water comes in the tap. The property is just average but the food is good.
- NicolaM397 (8/5): A great stop off for our trip - A really good place to stop. Well kept grounds. Great swimming pool. Big buffet restaurant lots of variety. Helpful staff. Good views
- Michael (8/5): I’d go back tomorrow it’s such a beautiful location - The views from the hotel over Nakuru lake are spectacular.
The breakfast / lunch and dinners were very good I wasn’t aware that to get to the lodge you have to pay $90 (per day)for the 3 nights I was there being a foreign tourist to access the hotel. I only went on one day safari. Also had to pay for my driver to access the game reserve to the hotel 1,350 shillings just to drop me off and leave 10 mins later.
The rooms have spectacular views of the reserve but some aspects were not mended like a light hanging off in the bathroom.
- 194svetlanai (10/5): Amazing lake view - A beautiful garden with a pool overlooking Lake Nakuru. Delicious food, impeccable service. Clean and cozy rooms. I definitely recommend it!
- Sonja (9/5): Schöne Lodge am Nakuru See mit grossartiger Aussicht - Toller Ausblick vom Balkon auf den See,haben sogar Nashörner vom Balkon gesehen
Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal
- michellegA1143PC (10/5): Red roads of Africa - Friendly and welcoming
Beautiful place to stay relax and enjoy the animals
Stunning views from our hotel
Exceptional service
You will want for nothing if you stay here
- jmE1123ZR (8/5): Location Location Location - Spent 1 night here after 3 nights in Masi Mara. Purpose of visit was to see Rhinos and Giraffes, the 1st not been seen in 3 days of Safari. The location did not disappoint us, in total we saw 11 Rhinos. A group of 7 and 2 separate mother and baby sightings, one very young and plenty of Giraffes. We had a great view from our room over the park, it was the highlight of the room, large patio windows leading onto a balcony. Room itself was ok, a bit dark and dated but perfectly functional, well except the mosquito net as it came down to bed level at your feet and i kept getting caught up in it, other hotels were vertical drops all round bed. Shower worked well and was hot. You only use room for sleeping and getting ready in, so no issues for 1 night. Hotel staff were all very polite and friendly. Food was buffet and to my mind was OK. However my wife who is Gluten and Lactose intolerant would probably rate them higher than me and they did make a real effort to accommodate her. making sure she was not exposed to any allergens and adapting meals for her.
- RahabW (6/5): A Stay with Highs and Lows at Lake Nakuru Lodge - This was another spontaneous getaway that needed to be within a short drive from Nairobi. We chose Lake Nakuru Lodge based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations.
The room we were given was quite dusty and not as clean as we had hoped, and the food was a little lacklustre. The swimming pool also had broken tiles, which sadly caused a small cut on my daughter’s leg. Thankfully, there was a nurse on-site who promptly attended to her and cleaned the wound.
That said, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful — their kindness went a long way in making up for the areas that were disappointing.
The highlights of our stay were evening entertainment and the game drive with Patrick. Patrick was patient with us, very knowledgeable, and engaging throughout. On the game drive, we were lucky to witness a lion enjoying the spoils of his hunt, while hyenas hovered nearby hoping for a share. We also got to see plenty of giraffes. Patrick also took time to teach us about different bird species, which made the experience even more enriching.
- sarmel2019 (10/5): Spectacular location - The Lodge has a grand view on the lake and park. It's unbelievable pretty. The staff is very friendly. In the Park you can see many rhinos!! Already the drive to the lodge is totally worth it
- riccardorU7994WI (10/5): Worth the trip. Amazing for a safari, incredible view. - Perfect view over lake Nakuru. Friendly staff. Clean room. Amazing spot for a safari, animals everywhere and crazy variety. Really great vegetarian and vegan food. Sadly there for only one night but recommended also for more than one!
- Anupma (10/5): A perfect stay in Lake Nakuru National Park without breaking the bank! - Loved the hotel, esp its location and the room with its balcony facing the lake. Food choices in the buffet were plentiful, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend to stay here!
- kancharlap2022 (4/5): Bearable may be for 1 night - Just stay for the sake of staying and leave ASAP...insufficient lighting in room, beds make squeaky noise, horrible smell in bathroom...held breath while in bathroom...shower curtain is dirty...have not take relaxed shower..just rushed to get out of bathroom..water bottles are not easy to open...food is very ordinary...not sure how the cutlery is washed...property is not neat...gave 2 stars for location and few staff members..
- bubbly_aquarius (10/5): Amazing Lodge! - Lake Nakuru Lodge is a beautiful resort located at the top of a cliff looking over Lake Nakuru and the park. The views is beautiful! Zebras, gazelles, myriad birds graze right in front of the room's balcony and next to the restaurant. It is a calming experience to just see so much wildlife as you sip warm coffee or chilled wine! Food is delicious and staff are very warm. Overall, really recommend this place!
- 1965Potter (10/5): Excellent safari hotel in the lake Nakuru national park. - Good size family room with a breathtaking view across the national park to the lake.
Excellent food in the restaurant (lunch was outside with view of the lake). Staff friendly and attentive. A great safari hotel.
ps we saw black rhino and leopard on our one game drive at lake Nakuru which we hadn’t managed to see at Masai Mara.
- sharonclairemckeown (10/5): A Welcoming Place To Stay - An excellent place to stay, highlight was the Masi Mara group who provided evening entertainment. Staff were really attentive, in particular, Winston who did everything he could to make us feel comfortable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Thank you Lake Nakura Lodge for making our stay a very happy one.
- 123Travelingsisters (6/5): Lovely location - Beautiful room with vaulted timber ceilings. Lovely grounds. The mattresses and pillows need replacing and in the morning when everyone is leaving at the same time they have one person preparing eggs which leads to a very long line.
- michelleh182 (10/5): 1 night as part of a tour - 1 night as part of a tour, gorgeous only down side was that we arrived late and left early so didn't get chance to enjoy the facilities fort too long. Great food, lovely friendly staff and very large comfy rooms with a view of the lake .
Just perfect
- Doug (9/5): I would highly recommend to others for a inviting place to stay - Peaceful and well kept
Meals were well done and a good variety of food
- JacobJustin (6/5): Average place - During our recent stay, we experienced several issues. Upon check-in, we were informed that the hotel premises had good WiFi connectivity; however, the WiFi in the lobby was not working, and there was no connectivity in our room. The room information suggested contacting the hotel via WhatsApp in case of emergencies.
We were initially assigned a corner room with a good view, but the room's condition was disappointing. We had to request a room change due to the lack of amenities, including unreplenished water bottles.
Unfortunately, our experience at the coffee shop was subpar. The staff displayed a negative attitude, the food presentation was poor, and the buffet counter was dirty with food not being replenished promptly.
Good part,
However, a notable exception was Ken, the restaurant manager, who provided excellent service. He was helpful, understanding, and made a significant effort to improve our stay. We appreciate his dedication and the positive impact he had on our experience."
- John (2/5): - The room is not worth the money you pay. Very rundown property. Very disappointing
- gatakaan2025 (10/5): Awesome - It was a beautiful awesome experience... I recommend it to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the great relaxation. Excellent
- Mohammed (9/5): -
- crazysam366 (10/5): very nice experience at Nakuru - awesome location within the Nakuru reserve very nice location and dining and evening entertainment. rooms with a view but bathrooms are transparent windows
- 532anjalip (2/5): Terrible customer service, money grabbers - This hotel unfortunately just cares about money. We had a good time at this hotel but as soon as we left the customer service was appalling. It seemed staying here was just a lure just for our money rather than ensuring a good customer service throughout.
We were due a VAT refund from Lake Nakuru and had all the right approvals and documentation for Lake Nakuru to process this refund but they have refused and kept the tax refund which is rightly ours. We contacted them on many occasions and they did not return our calls. They persistently told us the manager was not available and they would ask the manager to call us back when this did not happen. We are still waiting for our rightly due VAT refund. If you want to stay at a place that just wants your money but not care for good, honest customer service - this is the right place.
- Blondin-Webber (8/5): Very nice stay - The view was fantastic, the service excellent and the food very good. Our room was basic, but functional and the beds were comfortable. The lay out of the lodge is nice and the pool is great between game drives.
- Bendikte (8/5): -
- AHTravler (10/5): Best sunset view - We only got to stay here for one night, which is a shame because the setting was beautiful and the food was superb. We loved every moment of our stay from arrival to departure and the staff definitely impacted our experience. The food is all served buffet style with a great variety provided. Sitting by the pool listening to the birds and watching the sunset over the lake was amazing. We wish we could have stayed longer but our safari plan only allotted one night. We also loved this park, definitely an area we hope to visit again.
- Solitair (8/5): - Spacious room but no T & C facilities or hairdryer. Only 1 socket so need to decide charge up camera etc or mosi machine. Take a torch to help navigate from room to restaurant. Good choice in restaurant but sadly no spare time to enjoy the pool on our Titan Kenya Grand Safari small group tour. Amazing selection of animals on safari.
- markgosam (6/5): Old school charm but needs to keep up on food - The lodge is beautiful with its old school charm, excellent views overlooking the lake and national park, and proximity to wildlife. The only area it needs to get better at is the quality of food, which needs to keep up with the standards of more modern luxury lodges (in other places we stayed in Sopa Naivasha, Mara Maisha and Kibo Amboseli lodges and the food was everywhere was far superior)
- Srishti (10/5): It was a wonderful stay, and I would recommend everyone who visits Nakuru to stay here. - Meals were very good, and the variety was great too.
The location of the hotel enabled us to see the lake and the forest.
The staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful.
The room was nice and spacious. The balcony was beautiful to sit in.
- pompeypaulo (6/5): Gloomy rooms gloomy restaurant. - Great balcony views over lake and surrounding hills . Room was very dated and extremely dark and gloomy with no central ceiling light, not very spacious. No bedroom tissues provided or water . The mosquito nets drape half across the beds and do not pull clear so makes entering and exiting the bed a bit awkward. Staff were not that good in their service at either the restaurant or reception. On returning to our table between courses in the restaurant we found our table had been occupied by another couple!
- Edita (8/5): Very kind staff and service - I missed the breakfast but dinner was great.
Staff were kind and helpful.
I was sick and Staff were very kind.
A nurse even checked on me if I was ok.
Thank you. It would be better if we had more information about the shower and how to get hot water.
Also a hairdryer would be nice.
- rfurber (10/5): Amazing views, staff and game drives. Highly recommend! - The location of the lodge is simply stunning! We are a family of 5 and had a double and triple room. Both were very clean and well appointed. The room has a little heater which was very much appreciated (yes it’s June but it’s 2000m above sea level)
All the staff are so friendly and welcoming- special mention must go to Patrick at the bar. His friendliness and thoughtfulness made our stay even more special.
I can not understand why more guests don’t go to the evening entertainment. The singers, dancers and drummers are amazing - and great fun. Only lasts an hour - not to be missed.
Our game drives resulted in us seeing rhinos, giraffes, hippos, and so many birds - too many to name.
Driving around the lake is wonderful.
We will certainly be back
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- V5342NJnicolek (10/5): The most welcoming staff ever - The lodge is in a great location. We had a great view from our room and the food was always first class. The best thing about the lodge is the staff. They are so welcoming and accommodating and made our stay unforgettable. We felt so comfortable and would recommend anyone to stay more than just one day. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay! Karo, Thomas & Nicole
- 146empresss (10/5): Fresh and Refreshing - The food is fresh and the staff welcoming and engaging. Great quality of service and the views and ambience is topnotch. The personal touch by the service staff was an added bonus for me and my colleagues.
The rooms are well aerated and the environment is calm, relaxing and welcoming with a beautiful view of the lake.
- missjacksonatc (10/5): Excellent spot, close to the Lake - We really enjoyed this place. Rooms had outdoor hallways which seem to be pretty standard in Kenya and weren't an issue, just something to note. We had a small porch on the back of our room with a great view. We saw a few baboons walk by our room in the morning which was really cool to see. We also heard and saw some hyrex's walking on top of the cabins. Room was pretty standard but it was clean and well appointed. Bathroom was nice and decently spacious. beds had mosquito nets though we didn't see many bugs in the room but it was a nice touch just in case. Food was really good. Buffet set up for both breakfast and dinner with lots of choices. There was both indoor and outdoor seating and they would let you choose but we pretty much just stayed at the same table the whole time. Staff was very friendly. We didn't use any of the amenities as we were only there for 1 night but I highly recommend.
- Sarah (5/5): Not recommended! - The view was amazing, the room is convenient for a couple coming to shut down the city noise. Just for short term stay. The room was not clean, even the housekeeping are not available to clean the rooms on daily basis unless you ask for.
Every night we found insects over our pillows and bed sheets and got bitten twice at night.
The place is overpriced in some areas like the bar and the restaurant with too limited options of the food and drinks.
The breakfast, lunch and dinner with very few options, not serving all needs,
The pool wasn't clean, no safeguards or supervision on yhe kids who were peeing and spitting in the pool, SUPER disgusting experience.
The overall experience was very disappointing on the budget that we paid.
- stacym104 (10/5): Great Location, Friendly staff - Our one-night stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge in Kenya was quite pleasant. The location was great. We found our cabin to be nice, and the glass doors leading to the patio offered a great view of the surroundings. The pool area was also a welcome spot to relax. We enjoyed the buffet, which provided a nice variety of food options. The staff were always friendly.
- briannV5823BC (10/5): Awesome! - The service and staff are excellent. Peace of mind over here. Good ambience and food is definitely top notch delicious.
If you have family, friends or just a couple, it’s a nice getaway away from the city and towns.
Holiday destination. Would repeat!
- Saurabh (7/5): Good -
- Maryam (8/5): Great experience - The view was amazing as advertised and the place was beautiful
- Chris10169 (7/5): Good -
- Rose (9/5): I’ll be back. - The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect and a great view from the room we had N/A
- sergedenhaag (10/5): unforgettable memory - great place, great location, great food, nice bungalows and the staff is the best, they created an unforgettable memory for us, very friendly and very professional
and they made our stay an exeptional experience
the location and the safari’s are all beautiful but the staff, all the people who work here make the real difference
- Yasvina (7/5): Good -
- O5434SYterryg (8/5): Charming Lodge - Charming lodge with excellent location overlooking Lake Nakuru. Very well maintained property. Without exception, the entire staff were very friendly and helpful. There were two negatives that stop me from giving a 5 star rating. The first was unreliable internet service. On repeated occasions I would connect to an apparently strong signal to be informed there was no actual internet connection. The second
negative was a poor guide. We had our own vehicle but hired a guide for one morning. He could not name most of the birds and trees we asked about. Nevertheless we look forward to returning.
- Edward (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hardev (9/5): Superb -
- ianphp (8/5): Lovely lodge in a great location - Great location, lovely lodge overlooking the reserve, very attentive staff & good food. Mainly buffet serve yourself but assistance always available. Nice swimming pool with views over the reserve. Only minutes from the wild animals. What more could you want?
- Alicia (10/5): Amazing! - The staff is great, professional, friendly and attentive. The vegetarian options were delicious. The location is great and the view breathtaking. We had an amazing time and would happily go back and stay even longer. We would suggest replacing the plastic water bottles with glass bottles.
- Daniel (8/5): Wonderful stay with wonderful staff. - Beautiful property and amazingly kind staff! The food was just ok and the pool was ice cold.
- G4606MWfs (10/5): Fabulous location and venue - Really great place! Fantastic service, clean and very friendly. Wonderful view of the lake. Despite being solo, I felt safe at all times and all looked after. Staff were ready to help with every request. Add to this, I have complex food allergies. The chef took care of these personally so I never had to worry. I'll definitely come back!
- Yasmin (10/5): Awesome - Amazing place Water pressure is slow
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - The staff were excellent. The rooms are big, the bathroom is outdated but convenient. The food was great. Overall, we had a great experience. We felt welcomed and right at home, and we will visit again in the future.
- Chela (9/5): Relaxing - It was awesome
- Desislava (10/5): Exceptional - The setting, the views, the service. Simply amazing immersive experience in nature with all th3 comfort you can wish for. Very attentive staff! The rooms are a bit old and require maintenance- bathrooms especially. All else was formidable!
- inycarolina (10/5): Beautiful view to the Lake Naivasha in great accommodation - Everything was excellent. The tent room was spacious and they have many small details of caring that I felt welcomed all time. The staff added a hot bag in my bed before going to sleep as it was a cold night. They have the boat trips on the lake departing from the camp too.
- eerporter (10/5): Great visit! - We had a fantastic experience! My kids loved the pool and I had a great time at the massage. The food was wonderful and overall we give everything 10/10.
Would definitely visit again!
Our safari was phenomenal. We saw lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, rhinos, hyenas, and so much more.
- Vinay (9/5): The view from the room made the trip memorable - Very good food and service was excellent The dinner on day 1 was not up tp the mark
- FarAway736579 (10/5): Fantastic experience at Lake Nakuru Lodge - Stayed at Lake Nakuru lodge with family and it was a perfect choice thanks to a recommendation from our Travel Agent Nancy Kariuki of Treasured East Africa Safaris Limited. The views were breathtaking, we all loved our rooms, the food was fantastic and such great service from all the staff. Oh and such great sightings of animals (lions, rhinos, buffalos etc) during our game drives. Definitely going back again and again!
- Rose (8/5): Very good - The location and the view The food was not that good
- Lilian (8/5): Great experience - We loved the breakfast. Had several options to choose from. The internet was abit unstable. They should consider having secured internet for the residents
- Anjali (10/5): Perfect for a long weekend get away and to enjoy Lake Nakuru - The staff were excellent, incredibly attentive and kind. The buffet was one of the best we've been to out of the safari lodges we've stayed in. It was a perfect way to kick back and relax but also enjoy the safari that was on the doorstep. I can't recommend this place this, excellent value for money. We also loved the bite from the bedroom balcony looking onto Nakuru national park. It was very good value for money
- Samad (5/5): The hotel was overpriced for the value - The hotel is situated within the park, offering a fantastic view. The property needs an update. The bathrooms are barely functional, and the mattresses are saggy and worn out. Significant upgrades are necessary to meet even basic standards. Although we paid an inclusive price, they charged soda and even water!
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mwangi (9/5): Superb - Great food.
Beautiful place Too cold and there was no AIR CONDITIONER in the rooms
- Benito (8/5): Very good -
- Ravi (10/5): - Friendly Kenyan hospitality. Lovely nature around. Great food. Reasonable rates at least when we went. Lodge was empty.
- Eric (10/5): - Wonderful experience. Beautiful area--rooms have amazing views. Right next to the park with lots of animals in view. Easy to grab a truck to explore the inside of the park. Staff was friendly, the food was pretty-good (not amazing).
Note: Motorcycles are not allowed inside the park and the hotel is located inside the park.
- Marimar (8/5): Very good - Very friendly staff and nice views in the morning. Food was also good
- Garv (10/5): Exceptional -
- Huguette (10/5): - The mattress could have been better but all around excellent. All staff without exception were so friendly and helpful.
Thank you .
- Abubakar (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. The property, the food, the location and the staff were amazing. Certainly coming back again
- Sol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Khalid (7/5): Good -
- Eunice (7/5): Good - It’s quiet with really friendly staff members … The bathrooms are really old and not well maintained…Rail was rusty
- Susanna (7/5): Pleasant hotel with beautiful views - Pleasant facilities, beautiful views We asked when we should do a morning safari. The hotel recommended 6:30am, which we said was great. Then they said they could only find a safari guide for 8am. We said ok. We arrived at the front desk at 8am the next morning but the guide was not there. They said he would be 20 minutes late. In the end he did not arrive until after 9. This was our only opportunity for a safari in Kenya. There is only 1 reason people come to this hotel, and that is to do safaris. They really need to have better organization for this. If unexpected circumstances arise, the hotel must communicate this to guests.
- Evans (10/5): Exceptional -
- Moses (8/5): Very good -
- Doug (10/5): Exceeded our expectations - The breakfast was delicious. It was also helpful to get information via what’s app. Someone tipped a worker there in US dollars, as in one dollar bills. One dollars bills can’t be exchanged at most Kenyan banks so the worker was stuck with a useless tip. I know tips are personal and private but it would be nice if guests knew that ahead of time and could include the tip in the method of payment for their lodge stay. Perhaps the lodge could then pass that tip onto the employee. I don’t think it is good for the worker to approach a guest to help with exchanging the bills, and that happened to us. We did help with the exchange because we actually live in Kenya, but I don’t think it is a good practice. In our business, we see and hear about some Kenyans who take advantage of naive visitors.
- Halyna (10/5): We will definitely come back - Great location with an amazing view of the national Nakuru Park from the room. Unbelievably beautiful sunset. On our first day, we got a flat tire, and Danson (General Manager) organized all logistics and repair, so we got our tire back within a few hours. Huge thanks, Danson! Asante sana!
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - This hotel is perfectly located with a stunning view of the lake. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food.
