- wendyjZ7665EN (10/5): New Go-To - The price was surprisingly reasonable for a last minute drop in on a Friday evening, especially since there was a convention in a neighboring town. The rooms were quite large and open, appeared to be freshly or perhaps recently painted, the beds were comfortable and the pillows like a cloud! The shower was roomy, (walk in) the water pressure good and the hot water was immediate and HOT. The shampoo/conditioner, as well as the shower gel, formed suds as it should (it seems like some places either water down their products or just purchase the cheapest and they don't suds up very well) Continental breakfast offered the usual: yogurt, oatmeal with choice of toppings, boiled eggs, toast, muffins, croissants, a variety of cold cereals, fruit cups, whole fruit, juice, coffee, tea or cocoa. Nothing over the top or out of the ordinary but little extras that get noticed, such as avocado spread for the toast, a variety of jellies and jams in individual mini glass jars, French yogurt, individual bottles of juice. The breakfast area has several different seating areas so you dont feel cramped or on top of one another or rushed to make room for other guests. (It has a beautiful fire place that added to the rather cozy feeling!) There is a restaurant on site (behind the inn) and a Dunkin Donut across the street. The rug in not only the room, but the hallways as well, were clean and didn't have any faded or stained areas. The staff members were cheerful and friendly, as well as efficient. Our overall experience was a pleasant one and this will now be our go to when in that area.

- ExploringNewEngland (10/5): Memorable anniversary stay at The Groton Inn! - We had the best time at The Groton Inn! This was our first time staying in Groton and the Inn is so warm and inviting. Checking in was efficient and staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. Our room was an Endicott Deluxe King and was so spacious and beautifully appointed with all needed amenities and the views were lovely. We sat out on the front porch for a bit and enjoyed the vibe in this charming town. We were celebrating a big anniversary and we had the best dinner at Forge and Vine We opted to sit outside which was perfection. We could engage in quiet conversation and enjoyed watching the cows moving about on the hills. We had delicious jumbo shrimp appetizers and my husband really enjoyed his NA blackberry mojito. We loved our meals! My scallops and husband's swordfish were so both perfectly flavorful and beautifully presented. We returned to room where we slept like babies. I highly recommend a stay at the Groton Inn and we hope to return in the future!

Only downsides were that there was no conditioner available (the bottle mounted on the wall had run out) and the tub drain drained incredibly slowly which was gross due to the water buildup. Our room key didn't work a few times due to low battery but that's just bad luck/timing. The restaurant behind the Inn was incredible (food and views!). We also enjoyed rocking in the rocking chairs on the front porch. We will be back!!!

When you pay this much for a room you'd expect an easier process for getting your overflowing garbage can dumped. I hate feeling like a nag for what should be routine housekeeping service.
- Jackie (6/5): Pleasant - Location is good, clean & updated. We booked as a family, with a six-year old. The room was sparse and somewhat sterile. One arm chair and a desk. There is plenty of room for a second armchair, which would make the room more useable. The bathroom was setup for two adults, two towels and soaps and shampoo out of reach of a child. We did ask for a third towel and received it immediately. Breakfast was disappointing. The food was fine; however, all the serve-ware was paper or plastic. And the recycling included all waste in the same bin. According to the website, we expected the inn to be charming and cozy, it is not. It definitely served the purpose, for our one night stay, but it was not memorable.

The plastic containers and paper plates seem out of place for a fairly pricey room. They're also tricky to carry the half mile to the dining area. :) At breakfast, the yogurt cup with fruit was good, but just hard-boiled eggs and no other protein was disappointing.

- karleisermann95 (10/5): Soooo cozy - We set up our room block at the Groton Inn, and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The staff is friendly, the rooms are large and clean, food and accommodations are fantastic so much so we ended up doing a farewell brunch. In addition it was so nice to have a cozy place to relax on our big day Kendall and everybody there was extremely professional and helped our celebration go smoothly!
- Willem (8/5): - Adjacent to the top restaurant Forge and Vine. The small duct HVAC system cycles on and off and is not a comfortable system guaranteeing a restful night. The continental breakfast at the fireplace in the main hall is nice.

Terrible placement of bed right under heating unit. The breakfast isn’t much of anything. Continental. All cold with no fresh items except fruit. Wouldn’t stay here again but do check out Gibbet Hill Grill which is fantastic and just up the street.

- Patricia (8/5): Overall a good experience. - Good location…well maintained…beautiful structure… friendly staff We were originally on the 3rd (top) floor. There was a rumbling noise that began at 6:30am that woke us up. The woman at the front desk did not know what the noise was. We were able to change to a room on the second floor. They were very accommodating.
- Lea (10/5): - This was the perfect spot if you want to catch something at the Groton hill music hall. Super friendly people, gorgeous lobby, and close to the venue!
- Suzanne (7/5): Good - Breakfast was great, lovely little town, was staying there with friends and family for my daughters wedding and it accommodated us well I really like to have someone come in and make the bed and tidy up, empty garbage etc, I don’t know why this wouldn’t be done in such a nice Inn. Its should be part of the luxury of paying to stay away from home
- Nancy (8/5): Pleasant stay but too expensive - Breakfast was good - the croissants ran out (popular item) but staff replaced them with more shortly. There was a craft fair scheduled for the day of the morning we departed. People were coming in and out of the lobby through the front vestibule frequently. It was consequently very cold while having breakfast unless you were sitting right by the fireplace.

- dougw636 (8/5): Very nice, but feels more like a hotel than an inn, lacks charm - This felt more like a business hotel (although I know that they do a lot of weddings) than an inn. The rooms, although spacious, seemed a bit sterile and corporate to me. The sitting area near the check-in room in quite nice, and we enjoyed viewing the many works of art that were hung. Its location is close to very good restaurants (Gibbet Hill and The Forge and Vine) and wonderful views. They have tea available during the day, but no cookies or snacks. We were extremely disappointed in the quality of the breakfast. The food was OK at best, served with plasticware, and no guaranteed nice place to sit (if there is a function, you are out of luck). Yes, everything was clean, everything worked well, but it was lacking any charm in the rooms.
- Nicole (10/5): - I absolutely love the beauty, charm and hospitality. I wish they offered daily housekeeping and had an afternoon assortment of snacks by the tea service. Will always be coming to The Groton Inn but certainly hope they improve housekeeping and offer some lighter quick fare throughout the dsy. A convenience grocery with snacks and wine would be a fantastic addition also.
- Licilu (10/5): Wonderful Place! - It was beautiful from first glance, and only got better! The young lady at check-in was very friendly, with a warm smile. She was still there (and still friendly) upon our return from a concert at Bull Run. The room was clean, and the bed was firm - not lumpy - with plump pillows, not pancakes! Our only regret is that we couldn't experience the gorgeous courtyard or the Forge & Vine! So... I guess we'll have to come back! Can't think of a thing!
- Marion (7/5): Great location expensive - Liked the location and quietness No coffee facilities or water in room for a hotel of that cost would have been a nice gesture. Also breakfast no where to eat it with tables sat in foyer because of private wedding.
- Kathryn (8/5): Gorgeous property and rooms, best decor in a hotel I’ve ever seen. Hotel staff were lovely and helpful. Beds and pillows - Beautiful rooms, best hotel decor I’ve seen, beautiful local art in the lobby. The front porch with the rocking chairs is lovely, all decorated for fall. Was hoping for a smart TV, my boyfriend and I are big movie/tv people and love to relax and watch a movie when we stay at hotels. The tv was nice but just offered cable, would have loved a smart TV with streaming services!

- Keya (8/5): Great little B&B in Groton. - Very comfortable mattress and bedding, beautiful locale and amazing plantings/grounds for a small Inn. The check-in desk staff were fairly overwhelmed and gave a grumpy reception, but perhaps it was a long day. Very lovely breakfast. Some ghosts linger in the rooms after all the history of this spot. Bring a candle.

The location was stunning with the rolling fog in the early morning. I loved watching the cows coming to pasture. Lovely place
- Stephen (8/5): We enjoyed staying in Groton but expected more from themo - The inn was very clean and the front desk staff was nice and helpful. Lack of an afternoon reception or snacks. No hot breakfast, plastic ware and no microwave or coffee pot in the room. It was a pretty inn but spartan given the high price per night.

Dust around door stop and lamp shades, stained carpet, hair in shower, duvet under cover looked soiled at the corners.
