Guest Reviews
- Ken (8/5): - The condo was very spacious and well equipped. It was very central to downtown Victoria. The views were superior. The double bed was very soft and quite difficult to get into. By contrast, the futon like bed in the living room was very low and not completely even. All in all the accommodation was very good with a fine kitchen and superior laundry facilities. The only Serious downside was the overpowering smell of urine in the temporary check-in parking area. This must be cleaned up.
- Patricia (2/5): - At the time of our check-in for The Falls - which was 72 hours prior to our arrival - we learned that we were not staying at The Falls, but instead at a different property in Victoria. This was not a pleasant experience so close to our arrival.
- Rob (4/5): - Don't have much nice to say about our experience or stay at "The Falls" so I'll just leave it at that
- Andrea (4/5): - The property we booked originally was apparently full after we paid in full so we were moved to another location, the Juliet, about 4 blocks from where we were to be booked. There were only two rolls of toilet paper, no personal amenities such as shampoo or soap and the place needed a good dust, cleaning and vacuum everywhere, as candy wrapper was behind the bed table and a Christmas ornament hanger was in the queen bed. Light bulbs were missing and lamps were missing their knobs to turn on. When we left each morning there were homeless addicts fixing in the parkade area. Communication was done through text, which was odd, slow to respond until they texted the night before asking when we would be checking out. I would not recommend.
- Joy (8/5): - Booked to stay in The Falls bldg but render up in The Jullliet due to overbooking. Several blocks away from Falls but the 11th floor view was amazing.
The unit needs some maintenance( dents and paint scrapes, burnt out lights) and a deep clean( dirty baseboards and mildew in the shower). Even with ear plugs it was noisy at night with all the homeless, bar goers and ambulances.
- Kimberley (2/5): - We booked & Paid in Full on Jan 4, 2024. On Mar 4 we received the 3rd & final confirmation from The Falls of our trip on Mar 8. On Mar 5th they contacted us & told us the booking was an error & they were sending us to an apartment 6 blocks away (still charging us a premium for the location of the Falls a block from the Empress. We said we did not accept that change as our group was all at the Empress. We scrambled & found an amazing hotel (Chateau Victoria) at the last minute. It is now Mar 12 & we have not received our money back & they have ghosted us & Expedia. Strong caution as it appears from our experience to be a bait & switch company.
- Carrie De (2/5): - Do not use this company. I booked a two-bedroom condo in The Falls for 4 adults on a long weekend in Victoria. The company charged me a different rate than I was quoted on Expedia. They have never addressed this issue. They stated they tried reaching me numerous times over several days, but there is no record of any calls or emails other than the ones I replied to.
When I was provided with check-in information, it was for a condo located in a completely different building than the one advertised. It was for a one-bedroom with a blow-up mattress. The room was sub-par at best. There was dried cereal on the carpet of the living room, stains in the bedroom carpet, and a very wrinkled duvet on the bed. I didn't see much else because we refused to stay there.
They made excuses about my credit card and the number of people the reservation was for. But my confirmation from Expedia clearly shows the reservation for the building, the number of guests and that it was fully paid for.
They offered to find us another room at another hotel (very difficult in Victoria on a long weekend). But the one they found wasn't appropriate because it had two queen beds in one room.
In the end, I found suitable accommodation. But what a hassle. And what an unprofessional company! I'm sure they have some nice accommodation. But what you book might be different from what you get.
- Eevi (10/5): - Very nice place, felt like home with thoughtful amenities
- Madison (10/5): - Beautiful appartment
- Douglas (10/5): The Juliet not The Falls - I spoke with the people that run the apartment based on a number provided in instructions. While I had booked for the Falls, I actually received an apartment in a similar building called the Juliet. The difference was about 4 blocks apart but still downtown. In order to check in I had to coordinate with the people that run the apartment to check in. They did a remote buzz in check in amd u received my apartment door code to enter the apartment. I had a well laid out two bedroom one bath apartment located on the 6th floor that included a balcony, dishwasher, cooking kitchen with utensils, full size fridge, washer and dryer. The elevator requires a FOB key which was provided in a folder on the kitchen counter top. There was also a Fob /garage opener for the indoor parking which I requested. As a note you must specifically request a spot so that you can be given an assigned parking spot. There is also a rooftop, but no gym nor pool. The only annoyance is the Merc to carry the Fob at all times when leaving the apartment. I accidentally walked out without any when I picked up a food delivery downstairs. There was no way to get back to my floor- I had to go outside and randomly call somebody specifically on the 6th floor to let me in- I got lucky. Otherwise it’s a good clean place for the pricing
- Yvonne (6/5): - The positives: Beautiful view from the unit and an excellent location (walking distance) to many Victoria attractions and shopping etc. The condo was modern, and had parking below and laundry in the suite. Good security in the building.
The negatives: Most of the furniture needs to be replaced, as did the master bedroom carpet and bedding. there were some stains on the throw pillows which was off-putting. The master bedroom carpet was filthy and needs replacing as well. The furniture looked like it came out of a cheap hotel bankruptcy sale and was clearly worn out.
Some of the kitchen utensils didn't appear very clean.
- Lorrie (8/5): Slick condo in the Downtown - Lovely property that is well secured. Walking distance to all downtown sights. Condo has all the necessary accoutrements but oven is undersized for the baking sheets provided and could do with a pizza tray. Surprised to not find coffee/tea/sugar available at least for first morning. Laundry on site.
- Shayn (10/5): Wonderful condo for the night. - An excellent property, a stone throw from the harbour.
It was clean & spacious, comes with a washer dryer, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms/bathrooms, parking stall and linens.
A few recommendations: bring your own food/groceries, shampoo, and if you like your bedroom dark like me I recommend a sleep mask.
But the owner and the condo were amazing!
