Sonia (7/5): Séjour sympa un peu éloigné. - Sécurité, tranquillité, familial et l’eau du robinet est sans calcaire. Éloigné de tout , petit déjeuner qui manque de variété ( peu de choix) et manque d’équipement dans la chambre ( pas de bouilloire ni de machine à café ) . Ne correspond pas à un 4 étoiles mais plutôt à un 2 à 3 étoiles.

Bazen nismo koristili jer je bilo hladno. Lijep pogled iz sobe. Kafa na doručku je očajna. Sve je bilo ok osim kafe, sugestija da promijene kafe aparat.

crossey (10/5): Part 2 - The Ugly Grey Building - See my review from last year shown as May 2025. No real changes from last year. Increase in some bar prices water now 3 euros 50 cent half bottle of wine now 11 euros, noticed some other establishments outside had increased their prices, so not just at this hotel. Bottle wine starts at 19 euros. Got room 411 again. still no mirror in room, only bathroom, no hooks, our stool under sink was replaced with a table while we were there. Hotel from outside looks a lighter grey than last year. Pool was closed, we are a couple of weeks earlier this year, Easter was earlier this year, weather not too good for first few days, cold, little rain, we sat out in garden on Easter Sunday. Sant Agata is colder than Sorrento, something else to be aware of. Pool opened day before we left as weather greatly improved, but did not see anyone venture in, on day opened. Only guests from Jet2, at hotel for 10 days. Just to be aware not full of British, or English speaking customers, at this time of year, do not know if this changes later on, I suspect it does not. Plenty of English spoken, staff helpful with bus timetables, general local information and arranging excursions. More tour groups this year, less Italians, who tend to arrive for one or 2 nights at weekend. Very quiet during day when groups are out who are booked for around 5 days to a week, so you have the hotel to yourself. Plenty of English spoken. We were there 18 nights only English at hotel, something which some people may not like. Negative This is beyond the hotel's control, but the villa Olimpia plays loud thumping music, followed by fireworks, effects a large area of Sant Agata, we had one night of disturbance, began around teatime. You will pass villa on way back from town. Even if you do not stay at this hotel, the noise can be heard from other hotels. Once again pleasant hotel, helpful staff, there appears to be more foreign workers, but found this to be on the increase at other establishments we visited, all very nice. We did not hear anyone complain or have a bad word or experience at the hotel and we were there 18 nights. Finally, unfortunately some guests feel the need to consume a large breakfast and then take large amounts of items away with them. This has now progressed to filling up their large flasks with coffee, water and soft drinks all taken from the breakfast, causing shortages at breakfast. I would like hotels to take a firmer control when people are caught doing this.

Diane (9/5): Au top ! - Nous avons passé 3 nuits à 5 personnes dans cet appartement et tout s’est très bien déroulé. Les lits sont confortables, les salles de bain sont neuves et très propre. La petite maisonnette est vraiment agréable et pleine de charme. Mention spéciale pour le personnel, qui a été au top du début à la fin. Nous recommandons sans hésitation !

Дуже зручно добиратися до Соренто та Позитано на автобусі фірма SITA маршрут 5070 зупинки дивитись по гуглмап. Квитки можна придбати за готівку прямо у водія. Позітано 3 євро Соренто 1.5

Micul dejun bun .Imaginea de la balcon a fost superbă. Și mulțumesc pentru kitul de baie , a fost și elastic , ceea ce mi-a plăcut mult. Destul de departe, am ajuns cu taxi , care este destul de scump și autobuzele nu merg după orarul prestabilit, a fost nevoie să așteptam mai bine de o oră autobuzul .

Jason (10/5): - We really enjoyed the cottage. It was super quiet. It wins the most pillows award in our month-long travels. Easy walk to town and hiking trails. We even had a BBQ one night. Great views as well. Staff was extremely helpful with local bus directions to Sorrento - glad we listened to them and did not drive.

Gretchen (10/5): - The hotel staff was very accommodating to our needs especially arranging transportation to Sorrento. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. Air conditioning was minimal and we had to open balcony doors at night in order to sleep comfortably. Overall would recommend staying at this property as it was high up in the hills and quiet.

The hotel was very clean, with excellent room service and a lovely garden, though some renovation work and the small pool were a bit disruptive. Staff were friendly and welcoming, special thanks to Veronica in the hotel reception for her outstanding service. The main drawback is the location: being uphill, it’s cooler than Sorrento and takes about 20–25 minutes each time to reach town. Breakfast could also be improved, as the constant questions from catering staff felt intrusive rather than relaxing. A clean, welcoming hotel with great service, but the location and a few small issues slightly affected our stay.

Food at dinner very good, and the views from our room superb. We made good use of the hotel free shuttle service to sorrento.

X9365UDdianac (4/5): Not a 4 star hotel - We stayed at O Sole Mio and it was most definitely not as expected. When we arrived we were greeted with a lovely, spacious and spotless room. This was a surprise as the hotel wasn’t the nicest from the outside. The staff are not the friendliest apart from the receptionists. Unfortunately, I need to point out the restaurant staff as they were quite unpleasant.I was shocked when I was informed that we were not allowed to order tap water.Additionally, when we were by the pool with our personal drink, a member of the staff rudely told us off and informed us that the only drinks and food that must be consumed at the hotel are ones bought from the overpriced bar. Please be aware when you book this hotel that the dinner is STRICTLY À La Carte unless you pay for something else.There is no buffet apart from an extremely limited ‘salad bar’.The menu is extremely limited especially for those who have dietary requirements or intolerances. If you are vegetarian, you only have one option each night which is an egg-based dish. One night this was uncooked (egg and sausage dish) so I had to eat in the local village. We are far from fussy eaters but it got to the point where we couldn’t even eat the food. Luckily there is a beautiful village called St. Agata which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel (roads are quite dangerous to walk on as there are no pavements) where we enjoyed some authentic Italian food with warmer hospitality and reasonable prices. The village is quite lively and the people are very nice and friendly. For breakfast at O Sole Mio there is a decent selection of pastries, with the croissants being the star of the show. However, there is still a very limited selection for a hot breakfast. They only do boiled eggs,scrambled egg (which swims in a pool of water) which wasn’t nice and greasy bacon,also the coffee isn’t nice at all. They do also serve a limited continental breakfast. The garden and pool area is very peaceful with a picturesque view. Another positive of this hotel is that it is very quiet so you can have a relaxing holiday. The best part of the hotel is the free shuttle service which takes you to Sorrento a few times a day which is very reliable and only a 20 minute drive. However, it would be nice if there was a later shuffle service to enable guests to indulge in the beautiful nightlife of Sorrento. There are plenty of opportunities to visit the beautiful neighbouring places, such as Positano, Amalfi and Capri by boat. I would only recommend this place if you book room only.

ladyrosie49 (10/5): Great Hotel O Solo Mio - Hotel O Solo Mio for service, care the best food and a good holiday is definitely the hotel for you. I recently stayed a week there on my own as I am recently widowed. The reception staff Candida and Veronica could not do enough for me they said as long as I was happy then they were too. The Restaurant staff headed by Tony were so attentive and the meals were truly first class. The hotel was meticulously clean. The rooms cleaned every day and nice big fluffy white towels changed every day. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice and the restaurant staff were on hand to make sure you had everything you needed. I was a little apprehensive before the holiday but the care and attention of all the staff soon had me relaxing into one of the best of holidays.

We arrived in the late hours on Sunday the 10th August, the lovely Candida on reception had arranged for a selection of food left in our room as it was far too late to go out to eat. We were tired and hungry so really appreciated this lovely gesture. During our stay, all the members of staff we spoke to could not do enough for us. When we went to the pool, where there was always sunbeds whatever the time of day, Nickalou, was always attentive and made sure we, and everyone around us, had everything we needed. From drinks to umbrellas - he would get you whatever you wanted. The maids kept the rooms meticulously clean and, in the restaurant, Tony and his staff prepared a delicious breakfast and dinner and served with the dignity and style of a 5 star restaurant. We took the shuttle bus, that the hotel provided free of charge, into Sorrento. The bus was always on time and again, the staff extremely accommodating. The hotel is situated 5 minutes from a lovely little village where there are a number of shops and restaurants. Buenos Aires is a lovely little restaurant as is Bar Orlando. Thank you so much O Sole Mio for helping to make our stay in Sorrento amazing!

G4314DKdebras (4/5): 3 star at best - Alas if a four star hotel is what you're expecting you will be disappointed. This is a three star hotel and at some points during our stay even that was questionable. One definite is that it is clean - floors mopped every day and towels changed daily. The hotel has an admirable eco vibe throughout however, the expectation is that guests remove their rubbish into centrally located open bins on each floor which are sorted into 6-8 recyclable/non-recyclable sections. This is fine until they overflow (on our top floor, this occurred very regularly) and the ants come to visit. The poor bedroom situated next to the bin had a steady stream of ants making their way to feast on our waste. We had a to request a kettle and mugs on arrival however these were quickly provided. There is a pool situated round the corner from the hotel in an attractive green area however be warned - it is small. 6 people in it and it begins to feel crowded - not a pool for swimmers. We were told by others that the snack bar serves delicious pizzas reasonably priced and it seemed a nice place to chill with card games or a good book. Each night you chose what you'd eat the next evening from a menu with 3 options for starters and mains. If you are a vegetarian this will require you to eat egg as a main dish - omelette, frittata or quiche. I'm going to be honest - the food was often disappointing and by the last night we opted to walk into St Agata and eat at a delicious local restaurant. This was also decided as I was violently ill after eating the hotel's baked sausage dish! Avoid the morning coffee as it is not nice! Being within walking distance of the lovely village of St Agata was an absolute delight and the patisserie is an absolutely must for any visitors. The hotel provides a shuttle bus down to Sorrento which we used 4 times during the week and was an absolute god send! The only improvement would be a later option perhaps once a week to enable us to enjoy the night life of Sorrento. Overall, the location is perfect, staff are generally helpful and warm and the rooms are clean. But.... The rating is not accurate at all.
