The room was stunning, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, with breathtaking views that made every moment feel special. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept wonderfully. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the staff - professional, attentive, and genuinely warm and friendly throughout our stay. The dinner was exquisite, full of amazing flavours and beautifully presented, while the breakfast was super tasty and a perfect way to start the day. I also absolutely loved the cooking class in the morning - such a fun and authentic experience that made the stay even more memorable. Everything about this place feels special and thoughtfully curated. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and authentic experience.
• Debra (10/5): Wish we knew we could return in the future, but there are so many places to visit in USA and abroad! - We opted for this type of accommodation over a high end hotel overlooking the cliffs of Sorrento where we stayed 25 yrs ago. We are so glad we did as this was one of the highlights of our trip. The view, the staff, the beautifully appointed rooms, and the food were incredible. We were even able to park our car in the garage! Their working farm is charming and the shuttle into the city was a pleasure. Can't say enough! We traveled with our brother and sister-in-law. Would have been better if they had the room right next to ours.

This is truly the House of the Baron, settled hillside with panoramic vistas of the sweeping mountain ranges alongside of Naples towards Sorrento. Every aspect of your stay has been considered, and the house keeps a meticulous record of your wants and needs. You can and should consult Gloria & Maria about the area, arranging cars, boats, scooters, and everything else you can think of. They are each extremely polite and helpful. Anna ran an excellent cooking class, and accommodated our diet flawlessly by crafting a dish for us to make on short notice. Fabio and family were very pleasant to talk with as well, and often checked in on our visit and day as we saw them. I’m ashamed to say I didn’t catch his name, but will say your day starts with the kindest man of all managing your breakfast and generally spreading joy to kickstart your day. Don’t second guess where to stay, this is the perfect place for your trip, and will be my first stop when I come back to Italy.

Vista excelente, embora afastado do centro. - O atendimento da Rosa e do Franco foram excelentes, assim como dos motoristas do shuttle, Mario e Vincenzo. As acomodações do quarto são ótimas e a vista da sacada é incrível. O hotel fica afastado do centro e nem sempre os táxis chegam até a porta do hotel, por causa do acesso estreito, obrigando a uma pequena caminhada. Embora o hotel conte com um shuttle gratuito até o centro da cidade e outros pontos, os horários do shuttle nem sempre são os mais convenientes. Quando necessário usar um táxi, o custo fica em torno de 50 euros.

If you are lucky enough to find Palazzo del Barone available for your stay then book it. The attention to detail is second to none. They have thought of everything. The pictures of Palazzo del Barone do not capture how absolutely gorgeous it is. This property is meticulously cleaned daily. No buffets here....your breakfast is made to order. You place your breakfast order the day before providing the time you'd like it served and it'll be ready when you are. Every single person we came in contact with treated us like special guests. This place was tough to leave, we will definitely be back! The communication was fantastic. They kept in contact with us from the moment we booked to make sure they could anticipate all our needs. They even arranged for car service to pick us up in Napoli. • Rob (10/5): A calm oasis just outside of sorrento. - A beautifully situated hotel, with everything you could wish for in a luxury destination. Exceptionally friendly staff, delicious food and wine. The shuttle service means you can escape the bustle of sorrento without missing out on all the city has to offer.

The room had lovely decor and felt light and airy. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and we had dinner one night which was also fantastic. Every single member of staff goes out of their way to be kind and helpful. It is hard to find anything negative about our experience. The only thing we can think of is that the shuttles are at certain times and they don’t always work with ferry/train times so if you are going to be dependent on the shuttles, you need to plan your day around them.

I traveled with family and everyone loved our stay. the breakfast is tasty, the dinners were absolute delight! the view and the swimming pool are breathtaking. this hotel is on my list of fav spots for sure. if you're consideing to stay in amalfi coast, this hotel is a winner. added bonus is a shuttle to the city and back. thank you for our amazing stay! nothing

We loved having some time away from the busy city center which is a short shuttle ride away. I would give more stars if I could; a true highlight of our already fantastic trip to Italy!
• Diego (10/5): perfect stay, would come back every time - I am someone who did a lot of research before choosing a hotel and chose the Palazzo del Barone because of its rating and excellent reviews. And I was able to confirm EVERYTHING I said. I will point out exactly everything: starting with the people who are AMAZING. Everyone is extremely friendly and good-humored. Barbara is always very kind, the breakfast guy and the dinner guy too (I don't remember his name), always very kind. The room is very nice with a beautiful view, incredible view. Daily room cleaning and impeccable. Very complete and delicious breakfast. I also suggest you have dinner at the hotel a few days, because the food is very tasty, we had dinner 3 times and everyone was very Chinese. There is always a different chef who makes the dishes of the day. If you have more time at your stay, I suggest taking a cooking class, because it is a different attraction, but if you have a little time, I suggest enjoying the Amalfi Coast more. One more detail: it is a little far away (15 minutes from Sorrento), but they offer transfers all day long, both to and from Sorrento (practically every hour, and even then they leave the time flexible, sometimes to be arranged with the guest). For those who want to enjoy the coast, I recommend renting a car so you have more freedom, and to the islands you can take a ferry leaving from Sorrento, it is very easy. For those of you who are reading this review, you can stay at this hotel without fear. I am demanding and I questioned myself in every aspect. It may seem like an exaggeration, but my stay was really complete. They deserve all the praise. I would stay here again and I will recommend it to my friends. But it was the staff that made our stay so special. Barbara, Rosa and Maria took such good care of us and treated us like family. The drivers were fun and took us back and forth to Sorrento several times so we could explore or catch the train to Pompeii. And the chef! The food was locally sourced and so delicious. What a special, special place. We would give it ten stars if we could. Thank you for such an incredible stay!

I also loved being a short ride away from Sorrento but don’t worry the hotel instantly whisks you wherever you want to go for no charge. It was peaceful and there is a walkway next to the property that you can take the most beautiful walk to town! I loved everything
• George (9/5): This is a truly memorable experience - Our room has exceptional view of Naples, though we didn't get to see it clearly the first day and a half due to fog. The weather cleared up the following two days and we were lucky enough to enjoy both sunset the night before and sunrise the night after. The breakfast and dinner were very good. We had a rental car and the staff helped us get the car in and out of the garage through the extremely narrow street. To visit downtown Sorrento, we took advantage of the free shuttle service. We didn't expect the street to be so narrow that it would only fit one car. The garage was next to a T shaped dead-end and we were petrified having one car behind us when we get to the end and another car coming from the right. Fortunately, the staff was quick to come to our rescue and helped communicate with the other two drivers and direct us to the garage.
• Susan (9/5): Lovely except for the uncomfortable beds and intrusive drone looking through our patio doors - Breakfast was lovely, although served slowly with one item at a time instead of preparing our meals and bringing the entire order to the table at once to avoid some items getting cold while waiting for the rest of our meal to arrive. I have only 2 negatives feedback I have from staying at this hotel was that the bed was too firm and caused a flare up of my arthritis and when asked to provide a mattress topper or an alternate solution the hotel was unable to help. The second issue we had was, in my opinion more serious and very intrusive. We have booked a room with a private balcony and sea view. On our first morning at the hotel, at approximately 7:15 am we were getting dressed to attend an early excursion and found ourselves facing a drone on our balcony about 2 feet from the patio door with camera pointed into our bedroom. We immediately went out on the balcony to see who was operating the drone and it appeared to be a man on another balcony. We reported this to the hotel admin immediately and we were told they would investigate. No apologies received for the incredible intrusion of our privacy and no follow-up from the hotel on the result of their investigation. A very upsetting experience and in my opinion, it was managed poorly.

• James (10/5): One of the best hotels anywhere - My wife and I stayed at Palazzo del Barone in July. It was an oasis of calm amid a hectic Italian summer. The facilities (particularly the pool!) and location are second to none, and the staff were incredibly helpful and made us feel like family. Our private dinner at the restaurant was one of the best experiences we’ve had anywhere in the world. The onsite cooking classes are also brilliant. Highly recommended.

Everything was 10/10! Could not say better things about our stay! No notes!

We didn’t have enough time to schedule a cooking class, but it seemed amazing in transit. Without sounding too American, less than 50% communicated well in English. Made direction/route finding challenging. I recommend asking for a pin drop of shuttle stops and for arrival/hotel location. Entrance road is not easily accessible by standard car.

Great location with FANTASTIC views as well as the free shuttle service that the hotel offers to and from Sorrento town, making visiting the town and getting to the ferry port easy. • Roisin (8/5): Lovely Boutique Hotel - Lovely boutique hotel, room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was amazing and evening meal great. Staff very friendly and pool area with great views. The free shuttle to town was very helpful. The little dogs were a bonus! Unfortunately our aircon did not work and we had to chase a lot to get this sorted, after night 3 they arrived with a portable air con unit. They did bring us complimentary drinks for the inconvenience but giving the price we paid some compensation would have been nice. The bathroom is lovely but the shower light did not work and the layout of the shower door was not practical.
• Aaron (10/5): - We booked this hotel for our stay in Sorrento as part of our honeymoon and fell in love with it , it’s a small family run hotel with amazing views and has a lovely little restaurant there serving home made local dishes and your expected amazing Italian food.The hotel was very clean and all of the staff we met and spoke to were amazing and really helpful and friendly. The hotel is actually just outside Sorrento and is a fairly steep walk in to town which is manageable but isn’t for the feint hearted however this isn’t a problem if you don’t want to walk in as the hotel provides a free shuttle bus service which operates frequently having times running to and from the town all day and even up until 11pm at night making it no problem at all being a little outside the town centre. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to people as it is such a nice hotel with such helpful and friendly staff there who will definitely go the extra mile for you.

Rooms were also very well designed and comfortable with an outstanding balcony . The property has a very homely feeling while having the hospitality and services of a hotel. They serve you breakfast in your room which is very well plated and curated and is absolutely delicious . While being about 10-12 min away from the city centre which could cause a bit of a problem In travelling , they have complimentary shuttle services every half hour to take the guests too and fro city centre and hotel. This saved us a lot of money in transportation. The shuttle service is on time , the cars are clean and well maintained and the drivers are very helpful and friendly . Among all the fabulous things about the property mentioned above , what truly stood out for us was the hospitality of the staff . They were extremely helpful and friendly . They helped us with a very easy check in , check out . They contacted us two days before the check in on WhatsApp and were available 24/7 on WhatsApp to assist us with everything that we needed. I am in no way related to the property , this is truly an unbiased review . I generally do not review hotels unless I truly have a great experience , and this was one of them.
• Sigal (10/5): Exceptional - The place is very very beautiful. The location, view and the room itself. It is not in the city itself but there is very comfortable-with personal shuttle servise. We were off season so they could be flexible and the shuttle was the time we wanted. They offered it also to capri ferry port. The most important thing is the very nice kind and helpful stuff: the amazing reception women the owner, the lovely manager, driver, waitress cleaning lady. The breakfast was very good . It is quite small when compared to a large hotel which I thought was very nice and allowed for more personal service, The cooking class was also very fun and allowed us to meet some really nice people from around the world. The location was great to relax, but if you want to come and go it is far to walk to the shopping, beaches and restaurants.
