• Dieter (8/5): - A pleasant and quiet stay overall. The setting is peaceful, with nice views that you can genuinely enjoy from the property. The pool and sauna were a good addition, exactly what you need to relax after a day out. The restaurant was a nice surprise. Good food and clearly run by people who enjoy welcoming guests — the staff were warm and attentive without being over the top. Would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxed, no-fuss stay in a lovely setting. One thing worth mentioning for light sleepers: our room was located directly above the restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served. This meant some noise in the early mornings and again in the evenings until around 11pm. Not a dealbreaker, but worth keeping in mind when booking.

• FIONA (10/5): Comfortable stay and good quality restaurant - I stayed in March shortly after the storm and I really appreciated being upgraded to a very comfortable lodge which was spacious and well appointed. Nice to have a sauna onsite and indoor heated pool. There’s a high quality restaurant on site and a riding stables. The accommodation, restaurant and stables are run as three separate businesses. I dined at the restaurant one night (note it’s closed on Sunday evenings and there aren’t many options nearby, but you can cook in the well equipped lodges, if you wish). The food was really good, I had fish soup and the fish of the day, which was seared tuna. The tuna was cooked perfectly, however I’m not sure why the sauce was taken from the same ingredients as the soup as they were too similar and very rich. If I’d known in advance I would have chosen an alternative dish. It was unfortunate I didn’t go riding as this was my main reason for staying here, however it was too windy when I arrived it wouldn’t have been enjoyable and I was unable to book online for my final day as I had poor reception (I was off site) and the stables were booked up on my final day, but I met experienced riders who said the they had been on really good trail rides. I advise to pre-book. The location is great for riding and walking, however a bit far from restaurants
• Nancy (10/5): - This was our fourth stay at Patio - it is in a beautiful, peaceful setting. The breakfast was plentiful, chockfull of local food - absolutely delicious. We also ate dinner at Sellas, the restaurant located at the Ecolodge- simply amazing dining experience.

• Reena (10/5): Awesome Getaway - I loved this little outpost on Faial island in the sunny village of Cedros. The lodge and on-site restaurant were excellent - and the retreat I attended with Angelique was phenomenal. I was in March and lucked out with stunning weather, and so quiet, felt like I had access to these amazing places through the island untouched by overtourism.
• Adam (8/5): Good option for Faial. - The rooms and setting are nice. The owner/staff was great. There is a good (but expensive) restaurant on site. There’s not much privacy as all the units are together.

• Kim (10/5): It was lovely... the view, the property, our suite was all lovely. - So beautiful. Very quiet time of year, but we felt like we had the place to ourselves. That said, I feel it would be great even in high season because the setup of the place feels very quaint and private. Breakfast was delicious and staff were so sweet. We also dined at the restaurant on the property Sella's Bistro, and it was very nice as well. We also used the pool (which is a bit chilly in the winter but hey, "Canadian") and sauna as well. Not much. It is a pretty much a one horse town, so if you aren't daytripping by car, or planning on horseback riding there, there isn't much within walking distance to do there, We ate one evening at the property restaurant, but otherwise there aren't really restaurants or other amenities close by... but you can cook in the apartments if you wanted to.

• Nadine (8/5): - Das Frühstück war mit Liebe zubereitet und schmeckte frisch und lecker. Auch das Abendessen im Restaurant war hervorragend! Großes Zimmer mit gemütlichem Bett. Am Pool kann man hervorragend entspannen, ebenso in der Sauna. Mit Ausnahme des Frühstücks- und Restaurant-Personals haben wir kein Personal gesehen und hatten am ersten Nachmittag kein Zugang zum Pool. Schade fanden wir, dass das Restaurant Sonntags nicht geöffnet hatte, was wir im voraus nicht wussten.

• Jean (6/5): Petit déjeuner lamentable - Chambre confortable Le service du petit déjeuner était lamentable, mal achalandé et service absent,, le 1r jour la jeune fille était seule a travailler, une autre personne était là très inefficace, le second, le service était plus sérieux mais insuffisant. Les choix de the et jus de fruits incomplet, le sucre en sachet, visiblement déjà utilisé cristallisé sale mais remis en libre service.

Es wird Nachhaltigkeit beschrieben, aber insb. beim Frühstück nicht gelebt (Qualität eher Durchschnitt, viel abgepackte und industriell hergestellte Lebensmittel. Personal macht einen unfreundlichen Eindruck. Preis / Leistung passt nicht und Bewertungen sind für mich überzogen. Qualität der Bungalows ist mäßig (Hellhörig, Küchenutensilien).

Piscine agréable. Excellent restaurant avec un menu 3 services à 35 euros. Présence de nombreuses mouches en lien avec les chevaux. Musique assez forte au bar.

• Johan (7/5): Vriendelijk personeel en een mooie lokatie. - De grote bedden met klamboe waren een uitkomst. Wel zouden extra kussens handig zijn. Kwaliteit van het eten past niet bij de gehanteerde prijzen. De eigenaar vertelde dat het beheer van het restaurant wordt overgedragen aan een externe restaurant uitbater met vele jaren ervaring. Wellicht dat hier mee de kwaliteit van het eten naar een hoger niveau getild kan worden.

• Katrin (8/5): Falal für Pferdeliebhaber - Nettes hilfsbereites Personal, etwas abgeschiedene ruhige Lage auf Faial, guter Ausgangspunkt für Erkundung der Insel, top für Pferdefreunde (Angebot an Reitausflügen), sehr bequeme Betten und gut ausgestattete Minibar ;) Restaurant des Hotels auch für Hotelgäste nur mit Reservierung, aus Planungssicht verständlich, nur schade, dass man beim Check In nicht darauf hingewiesen wird (aber im Ort gibt es ein nettes Lokal)
• Małgorzata (8/5): Piękne miejsce, bardzo słabe śniadania. - Piękne miejsce, czysto i wygodnie. Przeszkadzało mi bardzo brak jakiejkolwiek przykrywki na produkty wystawione na śniadanie. Mam świadomość że bliskość koników powoduje że jest bardzo dużo much bo sama mam konia, natomiast można byłoby zadbacie higienę produktów. Szynka czy ser na którym siedzą muchy nie zachęca do jedzenia. Śniadanie to zdecydowanie najsłabszy punkt tego miejsca. Śniadanie, mały wybór, słabe jakościowo produkty oraz wszechobecne muchy latające i siedzące na bułkach, serze i szynce.

• Tina (5/5): - Schön für Liebhaber von Natur und Pferden. Es war alles ein bisschen angestaubt, nicht so sauber und ein paar Sachen waren kaputt. Man hat sich bemüht, zu reparieren. Das Frühstück war sehr übersichtlich und den Preis nicht wert.

Auch das Ausleihen von E-Bikes war unproblematisch und die Bikes waren perfekt. Beim 3-Gänge-Menü abends gab es immer eine vegetatarische Variante, die super lecker war.. Victor hatte immer einen Tip oder ein freundliches Wort für uns. Wir werden die Patio Eco Lodge sehr gerne weiter empfehlen. ---

Notre vue sur mer s'est transformée en vue sur....un haras. Petit déjeuner quelconque. Notre plus grosse déception des 10 nuits passées dans les Azores ...et l'hébergement pourtant le plus cher.

Ich hatte hier auch eine Massage gebucht und das war die beste Massage, die ich je bekommen habe, sehr zu empfehlen! Auch die Reittour war wunderbar! Leider sind wir nicht darauf hingewiesen worden, dass das Restaurant Sonntags geschlossen hat.

• Mareike (7/5): Riders lodge with beautiful view! - It’s more or less a riders lodge. Riding was really nice. Horses seem very healthy and calm. The massage was also very good! Never met someone at the reception. Communication only via booking-chat. No early breakfast or any take away breakfast if you leave early for whalewatching or the airport for example. Breakfast starts at 8. Regarding the price they should be more flexible. The breakfast was nothing special but something for everyone.

• Vincent (5/5): niet voor herhaling vatbaar - Locatie was mooi en rustig met prachtig uitzicht. Alles lijkt redelijk nieuw wat voordelen heeft. Service gerichtheid van het personeel. Het verblijf is niet goedkoop, zeker niet met andere overnachtingen. Wij moesten vroeg weg en er was niets extra mogelijk. Geen broodje, koffie niets. Er staat ook geen koffie machine op de kamer of zo. Ook het avond eten was redelijk maar veel te duur vergeleken ons eten op andere plekken.

• Rochelle (6/5): It’s a business, lacking passion for customer satisfaction - We have been in the Azores for over two weeks now, stayed in several accomodations, and this one is at the bottom of our list. Breakfast: The sad looking watermelon pieces smelled & looked bad. On offer was no more than an unimaginative continental. Dinner options did not look at all exciting nor good value. Do yourself a favour & dine at Taberna Acevedo in Pedro Miguel-true hospitality & a hidden gem. The room: The fridge is filled with drinks in a marketed campaign for you to buy. There is no room to store anything else of your own such as milk, cheese, fruit. The small kettle provided is fine, but a complimentary tea, sugar, coffee as most places do would be appreciated. Again, it seems they prefer you buy your drinks at the bar…. Even if you bring your own tea bags there are no mugs provided. Bathroom floor gets wet from the shower. All furniture/accessories in the room are done on the cheap. Acoustics are bad. Tree stumps beside beds are quirky but not very pragmatic. Room lacks any charm. No tv, A/C or fan in the room. Horse blanket on the bed? The cheapest crepe toilet paper is shocking. A hand rail along the staircase is absolutely needed for safety & is not provided. Wifi was poor. If you come for the horse tours and are part of a jolly group, then your focus is not on the lack of personal touch & then this may be the place for you.

Check-in, Check-out, yet reservation for dinner has to be done in person. Even though we made it online. Need to update information for unique rooms, as it was stated that no matter if we booked room or apartment, there would be a bath, that is incorrect.
• Lenka (9/5): Doporučuji - Hezké místo, příjemný personál, chutné snídaně. I když jsme měli k dispozici v březnu přenosné topení, nestačilo to a bylo nám chladno. Mokré oblečení i plavky špatně usychaly.
• Karin (7/5): - Schönes Zimmer, wunderbar vorbereitet bei der Übernahme. Unkomplizierte Möglichkeit, eine Reittour zu machen mit passendem Pferd und nettem Guide. Die ländliche Lage der Lodge ist sehr gut für eine Jogging-Runde oder Spaziergänge direkt von der Lodge aus. Schade war, dass das Hotel-Restaurant nur fürs Frühstück geöffnet hatte, ich kam mit der Erwartung, dass man dort auch Nachtessen kann. Es war auch nicht möglich, sich tagsüber einen Kaffee rauszulassen und im Zimmer hatte es zwar eine Minibar und einen Wasserkocher, jedoch weder Tassen noch Kaffee/Tee. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn es innerhalb der Lodge Alternativen für die Verpflegung gegeben hätte. Das Zimmer war sehr ringhörig.

• Marisa (10/5): Fantástica Estadia com Vista para o Magestoso Pico - Adorei o espaço. Tudo foi desenhado com o maior pormenor. O pequeno-almoço é maravilhoso e os funcionários muito simpáticos. O quarto é muito grande e a cama das mais confortáveis que já dormi. Na minha estadia era a única hóspede no alojamento e fui tratada como uma princesa 😍

Sympathische Menschen, traumhafte Natur und ein tolles Konzept, welches einem als Gast einerseits ermöglicht autonom zu sein und andererseits mit anderen Gästen, Einheimischen und den Pferden in Kontakt zu treten. Wir wurden am 1. Januar z.B. spontan zum gemeinsamen Neujahrsanschwimmen eingeladen. Das wird uns in besonderer Erinnerung bleiben! Danke für alles!

• Jessica (10/5): DA TORNARE! - Appartamenti bellissimi: moderni e completi di tutto. Massima cura ai dettagli. Spaziosi e luminosi con ingresso e seconda porta finestra in camera. Zona giorno dotata di salotto, tavolo da pranzo e cucina attrezzata. Bagno spazioso. Vista bellissima e totalmente immersi nel verde. Strutture principali che accoglie reception, piscina, bar e zona colazione altrettanto belle e curate. Colazione ottima e ampia scelta. Parcheggio comodo sul posto vicino al proprio appartamento. Noi abbiamo alloggiato per sole due notti in quanto Faial era solo una breve tappa del nostro tour, ma consigliererei di andare per fermarsi qualche giorno in più: ottimo posto per rilassarsi e terminare una vacanza in bellezza. Purtroppo la stradina di ingresso risulta essere un po’ stretta e poco visibile dalla strada principale che si percorre arrivando, però del resto è il giusto prezzo da pagare per alloggiare in una struttura completamente immersa nella natura.

• Emma (8/5): Excellent séjour en amoureux - Appartement spacieux et bien équipé Salle de bain sans aération directe. Bruit du vent fort présent la nuit dans la chambre.

• Lara (6/5): Ruim en mooi, maar helaas toch niet voor herhaling vatbaar. - We verbleven in apartement 1 en dat was lekker ruim. Bij het appartement zat een tuintje met twee ligbedden en twee stoelen en een tafeltje. Met mooi weer was het lekker om daar te liggen. Het werd enorm warm in het appartement, wat onprettig is als je lekker wil slapen Er was geen airco, alleen een ventilator. Je kan echter de deuren van het appartment niet openzetten, want er zijn extreem veel vliegen op het terrein. Zodra je de deuren openzet, zit het appartement vol met vliegen. Er is wel een klamboe om het bed. Helaas zaten er de laatste avond ook twee kakkerlakken in het appartement. Het eten bij het ontbijt is goed afgedekt, maar ook daar krioelt het van de vliegen. Daarnaast lopen er honden los, de honden zijn absoluut niet agressief, maar de grijze hond (schijnt van de buren te zijn) is erg opdringerig. Ook deed die hond zijn behoefte in het tuintje, waardoor je continu moest opletten waar je in het tuintje liep. We hebben dit aangegeven bij de receptie en ze hebben het opgeruimd, de tweede keer hebben ze het niet weggehaald toen we daarom vroegen. Ook hebben we 1 avond meegegeten bij het buffet. Het was de steak-avond. De smaak van het eten was op zich goed, maar de steak en de frietjes waren koud. We kregen achteraf 10% korting, maar voor ruim 60 euro kun je met z'n 2'en veel lekkerder eten bij een ander restaurant.

• Clémentine (10/5): Super, je recommande vivement ! - La vue est superbe, le personnel est super sympa ! Le petit déjeuner est délicieux.
• Maaike (10/5): Heerlijk verblijf! - Het mooie ruime appartement, met het prachtige uitzicht en de lekkere bedden zijn ons erg goed bevallen. Daarnaast hebben we elke ochtend genoten van een heerlijk ontbijt. Eigenlijk beviel alles.

• Heather (5/5): Very disappointing - Modern, spacious, bed was good. Large living room with a couch, and kitchenette, stove, fridge, and all necessary tableware. Fridge and kitchenette well stocked with drinks and snacks, but at a price. Woman at reception was friendly Nice to see and visit with the horses all around. Skimpy pillows. We asked for more and did receive them. We asked for a thinner bed cover, because the room was too warm at night, but they had nothing else to give us.( no cover sheet available). The small fan was insufficient to cool the room. No screens on the doors, so no ventilation possible, with all the flies outside. We asked to book for supper, but no space available. They should prioritize residents of the lodge. ( Happy in the end because their menu was very limited, and very overpriced). We asked for suggestions to eat elsewhere; they referred us to a restaurant where we drove, to discover that owners on vacation. Breakfast was extremely crowded, in very tight quarters to get food, or to be seated. Numerous flies all around the food, paper napkins everywhere in useless effort to deal with the flies. None of the staff bothered to come and ask how the food was. We asked for early breakfast in bags at 7am, but not ready when we went to pick up, Had to wait 15 minutes, made our departure stressful. No nightlight of any sort. Had to turn on overly bright light in bathroom. We had anticipated that the Lodge would be a highlight of our trip, but found it to be very disappointing.
• Jacqui (8/5): Nice room. - Friendly staff. Clean room, good bed. Good spot if you want to ride and like dogs. Did not try the pool… Room was through and over the bar/restaurant so a little busy.
