Guest Reviews
- Tim (7/5): -
- Hannah (1/5): Room was fine I am just displeased that I was charged a smoking fee because I did not smoke in there - Room was fine everything was clean enough. I wasn't expecting much. I was charged a smoking fee although I did not smoke in my room. I was told a manager would call me but I did not receive any call. Would really like to know why I was charged a smoking fee when I did not smoke in that room.
- Anita J (10/5): -
- Sarah (3/5): The room was clean, and the heater and shower worked fine, but definitely need new beds and pillows. - No breakfast offered The beds were awful—lumpy and crinkly, so uncomfortable!
- Richard (10/5): - Everything!
- Ellen (9/5): -
- Chris (7/5): Best part is relatively good access to Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival. - The motel did not provide breakfast. However, the nearby diner had great breakfasts. The location was great for attendance at the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival. I would like a coffee maker in the room and a freezer in the refrigerator. The light in the bathroom kept going out and eventually wouldn't come on at all. I reported it to the front desk with no result.

- Hall (3/5): DID NOT MEET MY EXPECTATIONS FOR WHAT I PAID, WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN, VERY DISAPPOINTED. - THE BATHROOM WAS CLEAN HAD NO COFFEE MAKER IN THE ROOM, THE REMOTE FOR THE TV WORKED PART OF THE TIME, VERY NOISY WHEN SLEEPING THE WALLS WERE VERY THIN, NO CONDIMENTS FOR YOUR COFFEE, THE FAUCET FOR THE SINK DRIPPED, THE DOOR WAS VERY HARD TO LOCK FROM THE INSIDE, HAD TO GO ACROSS THE STREET TO GET A COFFEE MAKER TO MAKE COFFEE AND CONDIMENTS.
- Robert (7/5): -
- Sarah F. Carr (7/5): not many options to stay at a motel in my hometown. Will stay with family in the future -
- Angela (1/5): -
- James (10/5): - no breakfast
- Ellen (9/5): -
- Bruce (8/5): - Annoying to not have check in and desk service in the
building. Ice machine was a treasure hunt of bad signage and distance. Good response from Baymont desk moving me to first floor due to disability.
- Terry (2/5): - Did not see housekeeping entire stay, no towels, no bed made, no floor leaned, no trash emptied.
North building office closed, had to check in at south building.
Office staff gave me a key that did not work. They said that they had given a key to the south building room and remade key for North building room. Sloppy work
- Jon (10/5): - 2 properties across from each other, service is very good. Stayed there 3 times in the past few years and always been served well.
- McAlister (8/5): -
- Mary (3/5): Emergency Stay - The staff were nice but the 4 nights I was able to get a room. Not worth the stay, drive either way, north or south. Whichever direction your heading and get a hotel elsewhere. My room EVERYTIME was dirty, partially cleaned, to meet visual standards. So at first I would get excited but then I would start noticing like a rag hung up dirty, Cheeto chip cheese powder smeared all over it. Don't stay in room 161, I'm pretty sure it violates company standards. Room 153, although it was a nice room but lacked certain items.. Asked one maid for an ice bucket, never got it. (different room every night I stayed, due to circumstances.) Room 274 had a random rag in it and had to tell my child not to touch it. It too appeared to be a nice room. But EVERYTIME I turned around I kept finding things undone or dirty. Yeah, due to my circumstances, I had to get the rooms and was usually late getting there with last minute bookings. It was a waste of money I wish I would of spent differently. If you do stay, watch for half done rooms, no ability to connect to Wifi, friendly staff, and missing components to the room. Beds were comfy though. And staying there with my service dog went over really well. PET FRIENDLY FOR SURE. Rooms not completely clean, missing components of the rooms
- Geri (8/5): - Plenty of parking No staff. Front desk/lobby closed. Had to go a Ross the street to Baymont to check in, get coffee, find a common area to meet friends. No coffee maker. AC def needed work. Would not go below 68° and that setting did not cycle well enough to remove humidity.
- James (10/5): -
- Rachelle (8/5): -
- Timothy (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (7/5): Good -
- Wendy (1/5): Awful - Nothing Arrived at 11pm system wasn’t working and room wasn’t ready. Had to wait for someone to clean it… terrible. Got a call at 11:45 pm saying to come in and pay. It’s not my fault system wasn’t working. I was tired and needed to sleep. Never again staying there
- Rodney (2/5): - The parking lot is horrible, especially when driving a bigger vehicle. The room was tiny and the TV didn’t work.
- Connie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bill (8/5): - The toilet handle had to be adjusted every time or it would keep adding water after a couple minute.
- Kevin (4/5): - There is no office on sight. We had to check in across the street. I asked if we had a problem what should we do, they said to call them
- Bronson (6/5): - Hire a front desk person. Going acroos the street to check in, or if there's an issue is absurd!
- Kristine (3/5): At least it was easy to get too - Location Dirty, really rundown, had to go across the street to the Baymont hotel to check in. No staff at the Travelodge at all Bed was horrible.
- Campbell (1/5): Bad - I didn't know the same office was travel lodge and baymont. I reserved for $77. I waited for 3pm to check in because Chloe ssis I had to. I checked in loaded the cart with all my things walked back into building looking for room number, couldn't find it went back to desk wax informed travel lodge was across the highway. I wasn't happy and wasn't about to take the cart across highway. She said she didn't make reservation rather smugly. I asked how much to stay in this building, $140. In Wellington Kansas i said no way and cancelled everything. I've been treated poorly at wyndom properties before. Never again.
- Jonathan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Colleen (8/5): - We stayed a night and we have a pet. It was not as nice as the main hotel but it was clean and the staff were very nice.
- Daniel (10/5): - Friendly staff and easy check-in, clean-ish room. My only problems were the hypodermic needle cap under the bed and, worse, the window won't lock on a ground floor room. I slept with one eye open over that, which isn't conducive to rest. Room 158. And there's no coffee pot
- Kari (8/5): - Some thing they don't tell you is you have to go across the road to check in and get your key. And if you have any questions, comments or concerns, you have to go across the street to the other motel as well. But all in all the room was very clean And that says a lot because I'm very picky. So I would recommend stay here.
- Beatriz (6/5): - When I went to have the key cards back in our check out the main entrance of the lobby was so slippery because the ice storm the night before ( we have to give them in the hotel crossing the street not in the hotel we stayed) I slipped bad and I felt a bad pain in my left lower back and I mentioned to the lady at the front desk and she just didn’t care at all 😫
- Gregory (10/5): - nice
- Laura (10/5): Snow arrival - There was a snow storm taking place and the staff was super busy - but they were friendly and gracious at check-in! It was the perfect place to get in from the awful weather.
- Zhenya (10/5): - Good staff
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Blush (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brenda (10/5): - Great Place!!! Awesome People!!!
- BO (2/5): - There is no staff at the property. You are supposed to go to another hotel across a busy street to check in for anything else. The exterior stairs a metal grates which are impossible for a dog to walk. The bathroom was full of black hair. Totally unacceptable.
- Donna (9/5): Great, clean place to stay over night. - Was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Strange to check in/out across the road. Apparently no king beds on the bottom floor...odd, and no elevator. Also, bathroom very nice, but the tub was very slick. Tub needs rubber mats in the bottom.
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Landa (4/5): - You could not check in there. You had to go across the street. We were on the second floor. We had to take outside stairs up. There was a leak somewhere, because the carpet was wet around the bathroom door. Everything seemed a little dangerous for 2 women in their 70s. They told us when we checked in that we would be charged $50 extra that we would be returned when we checked our if everything was in order. We slept a few hours and checked out. The next day I was charged an extra $57.75 on my credit card with no explanation. I am still trying to reach them to get it straightened out!!
- Linda (6/5): - There were no cups in the room.
- phyliss r (8/5): Great room for the price! - This was a good hotel at a good price. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a diner right across the street. Great breakfast each morning.
- Wayne (10/5): - It was ok for the trip we were taking. I probably would not stay there again
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Bob (8/5): - The room was nice and clean. Check-in was across the street at a different hotel. The only negative was that the showerhead was 5' high. The dinner across the street was an example of a classic greasy spoon.
- Jarrell (10/5): Exceptional -
- mary (6/5): - It was convenient for the night.
- Robert (7/5): Good - Conveniently located. Reasonably priced. Bed was too soft for me and the fitted sheet was very loose fitting on bed making for heavily wrinkled, lumpy bed to sleep on.
- JOHN (10/5): Frog ger - The particular Travelodge by Wyndham, is administered by the hotel across a busy street. They will not let you take care of business over the phone. There was no notice that the room would not be serviced daily. There was a towel left behind from the previous 'tenant'. That is why the low number on service. The agents at the front desk of the 'other' hotel were very kind and professional. I kept extending my stay and they were very accommodating. I've done that at other hotels and they will sometimes make you move to another room.
- jason (2/5): Cockroach - There was a dead cockroach on the floor. Not cool.
- John (2/5): - Worker was very rude. Paid for a room didnt get one
- Sandra (7/5): Good - No breakfast offered I had to check in across the street,
- Sandra (6/5): Okay motel in dreary town - Ground level, comfortable bed, good temperature I had to check in at the hotel across the street, kind of a hassle. No breakfast offered
- Paulee (4/5): - Wouldn't recommend unless its a very last resort. No front desk service and room had a mold smell to it. Had to check in at another hotel was not impressed at all with this stay. Couldn't wait to leave.
- Rex (8/5): Very good -
- Jodi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chrystal (1/5): Bad -
- Estrada (9/5): Superb - Peaceful n relaxing Nothing
- Steven (4/5): - TV , phones not working seems pretty rough for a Wyndham property
- Bradford (2/5): - Worst motel I’ve stayed in 30 yrs. Had to change rooms twice due to very noisy AC and a leaking toilet. Mattresses were no better than a chunk of foam on plywood. Dirty and run down. No onsite staff. Run away from this place!
- David (5/5): Passable -
- Robin (6/5): - First of all - we did not know we had to check in across the street from Travelodge- NO signs outside telling us where to check in. When we checked in - they had to charge us a deposit (we have a dog) and I waited for the girl to figure it out. It was frustrating!
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Schmeidler (7/5): Good - There was no breakfast There weren't any smoking rooms available
- Chris (8/5): - Ok
- MARC (2/5): This place sucked! - I arrived late around 11:00 or so. It was raining. I then discovered that the check in was across the 4 lane road that goes in front of the property. Also there are giant rain/snow swales forcing you to cross where the driveway enters the property. Since I had a trailer and had just found a suitable parking spot, I had to walk across the road. There were no lights on in either parking lot so it was super dark and I almost was struck by a car. When I arrived at the front desk, I was met with indifference and after a super long time checking in I had to walk back across the street in an even harder downpour. When I entered the room, the light switch by the door didn’t work which forced me to feel around the light for the switch. I was also met with the stench of cigarette smoke even though I reserved a nonsmoking room. I called the front desk and again received the same indifference as before. The bathroom was dated and pretty small but that was not a big issue. The room was very dated. Certainly not what I was expecting for the price. The only breakfast was a nearby diner.
- John (4/5): - The room we stayed in was clean. The bed had no mattress pad or bedspread. There was one blanket. The mattress was bad. The shower curtain needed washing. The room had an odor, but running the a/c seemed to help. The carpet was clean and the towels were good. The room had plenty of plastic cups, shampoo and soap.
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- dierik (2/5): - We got to that hotel late at night after booking through Expedia. The girl at the front desk claimed that she had problems checking me in and said she had to cancel my Expedia reservation and book me a new one. She gave me a receipt showing that she refunded me back my money. A few days later I checked my cc and what they did is so fraudulent! I paid $58 on Expedia. She charged $105 on my card and then refunded me $48 saying that was the Expedia refund. Once I looked at it all, I paid the original $58 through Expedia and another $58 that she charged me! I put a dispute on my cc
- Kass (6/5): Pleasant - Staff is friendly and accommodating The rooms where not clean
If housekeeping cleaned properly it would have been excellent
- Angela (4/5): - The bed was not comfortable. The Internet was too weak to lead pages, and I needed to get work done and sleep. I got no work done, and barely slept.
- Carolyn (6/5): Pleasant - no breakfast. The fan on the air conditioner was like a jet plane taking off each time it kicked on. Needs some work.
- Anthony (6/5): It was okay - Right across from Penny’s The room wasn’t fully cleaned. There was a pot of coffee still made. No towels. No trash bags in the trash can. Weird residue in the shower.
- Jimmy (2/5): No sleep in a bed - They over booked my room and I had to sleep in my truck ,the booking service is awful
- Verified traveler (4/5): Better than nothing! - No breakfast, they own a cafe nearby for you to purchase a meal, if desired, and you have to check in across the street at the baymont hotel.
- Dr. (8/5): Very good -
- Bruce (1/5): Did not stay there. - We were denied a room, clerk said motel was overbooked. My confirmed reservation with Booking. Com was not honored. We had to find an alternate motel late at night. The hotel building was dark and unlit. A great setting for haunted house event or slasher movie set.
- David (8/5): Stopping in Wellington - I wanted a bed, ice, and air conditioning and I got that. There were some difficulties: the hotel was actually managed out of the hotel across the street, so I had to double back to check in, the room they gave me was already occupied, which meant another trip across the street, and back across the street the next morning to check out.
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jeff (8/5): - Good hotel the money
- Karen (6/5): - Can’t register at the hotel itself, must go across the street to the Baymont to register. Room was nice standard room. Shower head positioned for someone to taller than 5’ and no extra toilet paper. Again had to go across the street to get it.
- Freddy (2/5): Very poor -
- Donald (5/5): Maid staff was great, Front desk not so much. - The room was clean, But they have an investigation problem. .Baby cockroaches everywhere.
- Tom (5/5): Could have been better! - Wasn't offered any The first night I was assigned a room that wasn't made up. i was issued another room. After three (3) days as I
was lying on the bed reading a paper some guy opens the door an attempts to walk in. I asked how the hell did he unlock the door and he showed me a key with the correct room number. He was confused and I was pissed so I went to the lobby office to see what the hell was going on! Supposedly I had been dropped out of the system. One wonders what might of happened if I hadn't been in the room? I had money and certain valuables that were assessable. I was then moved again across the highway to the Wyndham complex for the remainder of my stay. I have been staying at this location over the Memorial Day weekend for 10 plus days for several years. Will take a close look at other lodging opportunities in the future.
- James (8/5): it was good I will stay there again - No breakfast at this location The direct Tv was very spotty
- BreAnn (2/5): - I booked a King room was given a room with a bed that was smaller than a double. Front desk informed me after I went in the room that he could cancel but I would have to pay. Then I was charged twice for the same night so not only did we have to sleep on a tiny uncomfortable bed but the was charged double! Absolutely do not recommend staying here!
- James (2/5): - No hot water and the the tv did not work
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - Surprised to check in at Baymont across the street
- Chanda (2/5): - Not the cleanest or safest looking property. Outside lights do not work so extremely dark parking lot.
- Melonie (6/5): Voicing my opinion !!!! - Neighbor was very noisy and kept us all night the first night deleting on the walls talking really loud all night long !!! Refrigerator in room did not work at all, which if it comes with it it should work !!! We told them at office they didn't seem to care !!! Does it make sense that to report something or problems you have you have no office at where we stayed you have to go across the street to the Baymont !!!!???? There should be an office at this hotel you shouldn't have to go across the street !!!
- Jocelyn K. (8/5): - Did not have queen bed as advertised and reserved. Had to change rooms, because tv did not work
