- Binh (9/5): - Nhân vien o đây rất tuyệt vời
- Diego Sebastian (10/5): -
- Walter (9/5): Superb - I come back at this hostel twice. Excellent position. Nearby restaurants and coffee shops. The room was spacious and comfortable. Plugs, mosquito net and ventilator. Safe box in common bathroom. Hot Water working. Very good breakfast in the terrace. The workers Happiness, Mwesa, Gift and Gladness were soo helpful, gentle and friendly!! Thank u Noisy terrace due the cars and tuk tuk
- Linh (8/5): Worth to stay - Location is in the center of Moshi so it's very convenient to go to the bus station
Room is clean & comfortable Exchange rate they charge for room pricing is higher than actual exchange rate at forex bureau
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant - Hot water The price quoting via online was different from what was charged
- Julian (9/5): Superb -
- Taishin (10/5): Exceptional - I was surprised to several things. First one
- Ellinor (9/5): Superb -
- Beth (10/5): Great place for a solo female traveler. - Excellent location, very clean , very safe. If you’re short, it can be hard to reach the doorbell.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bob (7/5): Good - The breakfast was fine. It was nice to have a kitchen for lunch and dinner. While inside was nice and comfortable, the exterior looked a little rundown and was actually a little scary at first.
- Bharath (8/5): Location is good service staff has to start treating everyone good. - Location of the stay Break fast was served either cold or too roasted bread, very bad service
- Arnold (5/5): Passable -
- Dorcus (6/5): Pleasant -
- Migael (6/5): Pleasant -
- Qiumei (1/5): Terrible! - Yo be honest, Not good!!! Felt bad! No hot water for shower… tried to ask for help from receptionist a few times, she didn’t care! She showed my daughter and me her unhappy face! Never come and check the problem ! Terrible experience!
I paid 16 usd for laundry some clothes , they didn’t dry it by machine, but a ceiling fan worked for them the whole night! Then All my clothes smelled stinky!
I definitely won’t stay here again! It’s really bad experience….
- A2bh (3/5): Poor -
- Caroline (1/5): The worst I’ve ever had. - Nothing, because I was turned away late at night, even though I had a confirmed book. Very rude and dismissive staff member who didn’t even greet me, but just looked at me and told me that she had no booking for me, even though I showed her my confirmed booking. She didn’t even attempt to ring around for me. As a solo female late at night, I had to leave and try and find accommodation elsewhere. Extreme poor and unfriendly service, and not a great welcome to Tanzania!
- Antonio (1/5): Bad - I didn't stay, my calls never responded to and ended up being told we are fully booked via a cold email. They didn't care about the cost I incurred to reach out to them and didn't offer alternative accommodation
- Laura (7/5): Good - Dinner was excellent and at a fair cost compared to other places I had eaten.
The painted door made it easy to find, though the buzzer was a bit of a search so I could be let in.
All beds in my room had mosquito nets.
Wifi was strong. The hostel is located on a busy road and many of the rooms are front facing with windows that do little to block out noise. Bring ear plugs.
There are no lockers in your room to lock up valuables.
And I always recommend the addition of hooks (coats, towel, sweaters, etc). This hostel could use them both in the room and in the showers.
- Bigbangsdc (8/5): Very good -
- Patrick (4/5): Ok for a couple nights...but bring ear plugs. - Great beds for a hostel, friendly staff, decently clean. Extremely loud location. Like you're laying on the sidewalk next to the cars and motorcycles.
Even with ear plugs, I had a very hard time sleeping.
I hate to complain but the food was not very good. I ordered the burger one night and the beef literally seemed like it didn't exist...it was like eating air.
- Jerome (10/5): Exceptional - Nice place in the centre of Moshi town - great if looking for an affordable option. Friendly staff. Would recommend!
- Mzigaba (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kalinskie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zach (7/5): Good -
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Julian (9/5): Superb - Large room and nice bathroom. Kind staff, let us check in very early! A bit loud, because the main street of Moshi center is directly in front of the windows
- Stavros (9/5): Superb - Can't ask for better location.
Food was nice.
24h security guard hanging out downstairs. The showers have seen better days.
Not the hostel's fault but you need earplugs due to the street noise.
- Maura (10/5): Very suitable for backpackers - Everything was really good! Spacious room, big beds and comfortable. Bathrooms and showers are very clean, and the shower is very powerful, the best I had in all Tanzania.
The location is very central, 9 minutes walking from bus station, and many restaurants and shops around.
Gladys the receptionist was so good, very kind and with good recommendations about the tours in Moshi. Breakfast is very good, all the staff are nice. Nothing
- Melanie (8/5): Affordable accommodation - The room was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size (I had a single) and it was an affordable place to stay at the start of my trip. There are good places to eat within walking distance and it’s close to the market. The hostel is located in the downtown area with many sellers etc in a busy neighborhood. There is a lot of street noise and the building has louvred glass windows so you hear everything from the street as well as from the neighboring rooms like snoring. Ear plugs are a must.
- Myles (8/5): Very good -
- Micaela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Micaela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mila (9/5): Superb - Perfect location, nice clean rooms, good breakfast, and for a very acceptable price -
- Coral (8/5): Great stay. Would recommend - Great location and value for money. Clean and tidy.
- Bronia (8/5): Very good - Close to bus station and central for walking around. The most comfortable hostel bed ever Nothing not to like here apart fromm traffic noise but that is normal being in town centre
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - People are very nice, delicious food!
- Eva (10/5): Great Hostel in Moshi! - Best Hostel. Great breakfast, very friendly staff, close to everything, nice guests and very good (and cheap) food! Laundry service available too. When I come to Moshi again, I‘ll stay here :) Road outside is a bit loud (not the hostels fault though)
- Kobus (9/5): Superb - Clean, great service, great cook Nothing
- Milagros (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven_wu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sébastien (10/5): Great hostel in Moshi - Everything.
- Sébastien (10/5): Hidden gem in Moshi - This hostel is amazing.
Gladys and her staff is so friendly and professional.
The hostel location is central, which is super handy.
The private room is much calmer than outside, that was great to relax.
On top of that, there is also :
- A good breakfast
- Strong Wi-Fi
- A laundry service (only 15.000 Tzs)
- A tour agency on the hotel first floor, who can give you amazing recommendations and propose a wide range of activities. Ask for Abdul, he is super nice and welcoming.
Value for money is unbeatable! Nothing, it's a clear 10/10!!
- Sophia (9/5): Nice hostel in the center! - The hostel is close to everything and the breakfast was really good! The bed was really comfy! Everything was fine for me
- Davina (10/5): Highly recommend this Hostel -
- Josie (7/5): Good -
- Natalia (10/5): An awesome place to stay in Moshi if you want to be close to the centre. - food at the restaurant, staff, location, the opportunity to get to know new people The noise from the street can be disturbing but good earplugs for the night will help.
- Jairo (7/5): Central location, great for solo travellers - Staff is very kind! The walls are very thin, my room shared a see through wooden door!
- Maret (9/5): Superb -
- Natalia (10/5): Everything was perfect, staff, location, food. I will be coming back for sure. -
- Leonardo (8/5): Very good - Staff was really nice and the location was great The thing we didn't like was no hot water in the shower
- Jacinta (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff. Chef Mwese made my stay extra special with the good food as per my dietary restrictions, as well as awesome smoothies. I look forward to coming back for more. Thank you too to Salma and Mariamu who were super friendly and helpful during my stay.
- Cernat (10/5): Very good - People very kind
- Frank (10/5): So clean - The hostel is actually downtown, very close to everything you can think of .The hostel is super clean and the staff are amazing.
I would totally recommend staying here N/A
- Tombo82 (3/5): Poor - Friendly staff
Value for money Rooms are to hot
Very noisy from the main road
Rooftop bar useless because of noise
- Njeri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Betty (10/5): Exceptional - The hostel exceeded my expectations. It was very clean, well maintained and had the best staff. Very friendly and very nice location at the city centre. If you are looking for a very quite place, this might not be ideas due to bajaji passing by. But nothing too much.
- Deborah (8/5): Great budget stay in Moshi - Friendly atmosphere, nice balcony, awesome and inexpensive food (including local options), generally clean Weak wifi singal
- Aleksander (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kimberly (10/5): Really comfortable spot, my room had AC and a terrific shower, and breakfast was awesome! - My room was great! Loved the air conditioning and large, clean bathroom with great shower. Loved the outdoor space!

- Jongwon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (7/5): Hostel prior to kilimanjaro - Good hostel, only stayed one night prior to my kilimanjaro climb. Nice big room with bathroom.
- Adam (8/5): Very good stay. - Good localization, in the centre. Nice, freshly prepared breakfast with eggs to your liking :) Very clean and comfortable room. Spacious bathroom with good water pressure. On top of that burgers and milkshakes served are very good! Noise from the street can be tough to handle sometimes but after dark it gets better. We had a room facing back alley but still road noise was quite loud. It is not owners fault though.
- Meng (10/5): Very comfortable and worth the price. - The location is in the center of the town, maybe a little noise, breakfast is simple but I have it at 5 am so that I can catch bus to Nairobi. Thanks for staff to get up early to serve me. A little noise at night.
- Leeniya (9/5): Superb - Very central, comfortable and clean!! Very lovely staff too!
- Pieter (8/5): Very good - Nice and simple. Cool lodge. I had both a burger and a pizza and they weren’t great
- Cristina (10/5): Exceptional - Great workers! .
- Kalina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kalina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Walter (5/5): In my book, not a 9.3 as advertised but rather a 6-7 but still a decent place - Moshi is another dusty, traffic-heavy and not very attractive Tanzanian city ... sorry, but this is my impression. The hostel has probably seen better days when it was newer, less used. But after all it is a hostel and one should not expect a five-star.
One enters via a small iron gate, and two flights up (no elevator of course) are the rooms and the public space which is basically the space where meals are served.
Breakfast is the usual, filter coffee this time in a thermo, 2 slices of water melon and one fourth of an orange, eggs to your liking, toast, a piece of pancake, voilá ... u can also have butter or peanut b
I had a private room (Tembo) f 2 nights when stopping over from Bagamoyo (7-8 hrs by bus) to Arusha (another 2 hrs), which was adequate, fairly clean and the bathroom had decent hot water.
The power tends to come and go, there is a generator, but then no a/c ... I managed to get a fan (ceiling fans would be a smart addition) but then the a/c came back on.
Meals are good and plentiful, the chef is a friendly and funny fellow, otherwise staff comes and goes ...
Laundry is 15K TSh f a small bag of clothing which is not cheap but turned in in the morning, one gets it back by the evening.
Tip: If u need sth repaired, sown, there are plenty of seamstresses in the road below and things can be fixed quickly and cheaply It is less what I didn't like than what could be improved fairly easily ...
for once, ceiling fans which save electricity and can be used when the power is down and the generator on
giving the people time to arrive and not have them fill out the form immediately after climbing 2 flights of stairs ... in particular people are all over you once you get off the bus and walk those 500+ meters from the bus station to the hostel, from taxi drivers to tour touts ... let the newly arrived sit down for a moment before speeding them into the sign-in process
offer larger soft drink bottles than those 300 ml ones but one can easily buy whatever down in the street and bring it to the hostel
- Ehm (9/5): Superb -
- Daphne (9/5): Comfortable place to stay! - Comfortable place to stay before and after my Kilimanjaro trek. Friendly staff and central location. Both the dorms and private rooms are clean, with comfortable beds and showers are also good. -
- Sd (8/5): Very good - Breakfast
Laundry service
Location was right in the middle of the town so plenty of things to do.
- Mark (9/5): Good.locatio, lovely staff but could do with some investmentt More of an 8 than a 9 tbh - Nice wide bunk beds, short walk from the bus station. On main street in centre of town. Lovely staff. Bathrooms adequate rather than amazing.. Nice roof top restaurant and a welcoming smoothie is nice. Good mosquito nets hanging Iover beds. Sufficiently clean. Front rooms are noisy from c5am as you're on the main road of Moshi so bring ear plugs. There is no a.c. just a rotating fan on ceiling so windows have to be open
Bathrooms .a bit worn and tired.. could do with some refurbishment but work ok
- Conny (10/5): Alles tip top ! Gute Lage.
Wir kommen gerne wieder !
- Verified traveler (10/5): Super ! - Nette und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, großes sauberes Zimmer, gutes Essen. Gerne wieder !
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yolande (7/5): Nice and clean hostel - Breakfast was amazing: eggs, bread, fruits, avocado, coffee, tea, etc
Staff was very friendly!
Very clean shower and toilet.
Laundry service was good. It is a very noisy area. We heard the street noises all night and the mosque early in the morning. Also, we had the room next to the lobby and people were talking there until late at night.
We organized a bus ticket to Lushoto via the hotel and paid 3000 Tanzania shilling more than when you buy it at the bus stand. We thought the guy would pick us up with a car but he was actually 10 minutes late to simply walk us to the bus and didn’t help with luggage. The bus stop is very close, better buy the ticket there.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Galton (10/5): Splendid people, good food, and a comfortable place to stay either before or after your kili climb - Very friendly staff, clean facilities, and homey accommodations. nothing
- Katherine (10/5): Great hostel - The room was good and clean. The bed comfortable, the shower worked very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing.
