- David (10/5): Wonderful interactions, large rooms, outstanding service and family friendly. - From the moment we walked in the door the Front Desk Team genuinely wanted my families stay here to be fun and memorable. The service from the team was absolutely first rate.
Hotel/Apartment:
- 6 nights for a family of 4, being my wife and I along with our 8-and 5-year-old daughters.
- We stayed in a Japanese-Western-Style room, which was plenty big enough for the 4 of us and our luggage.
- Facilities included a deep bath and a nice consistent shower.
- In-room kitchen facilities included a microwave, stove top, kettle and fridge, along with sufficient quantity of pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups and glasses.
- Daily kid specific actives, such as "spot the difference" in the hotel lobby.
- Nice rooftop view with some seating.
Great Location:
- About a 5 min walk from 'Akasaka' station (currently themed as the 'Harry Potter Station')
- About 10mins from 'Tokyo Mid Town' station
- Plenty of local eating options
- 7-11 & Lawsons convivence stores right across the road
- This is a higher-class area of Tokyo, not a typical "tourist trap" type area.
- Hinokicho Park is 10mins away (next to Tokyo Midtown Station) and is lovely to visit and surprisingly peaceful.
More Details:
- The kids loved the room, in particular the tatami mat and deep bath.
- The mini events in the lead up to Children's Day (May 5th) where entertaining, and had my girls exploring the lobby and rooftop.
- Staff are super friendly and helpful.
There are a couple of key interactions and experiences with the Front desk team that I'd like to highlight:
- I was greeted by name as I walked through the door the first time, even before I checked-in! That was amazing.
- Recommending local restaurants based on the types of food we wanted to try.
- Really positive interactions with our 2 children, including telling them about the daily/weekly activates available in the hotel. Not a huge amount of area's to improve. The biggest challenge is that the lobby can become crowded with luggage. This is a physical space limitation of the lobby. I'm unsure if there is a possibility of having a separate luggage/store room.

- Anna-Maria (8/5): A welcoming and convenient stay for travellers with children - The hotel is conveniently located in a central part of Tokyo between the some of the best known neighbourhoods. It is tucked away in a quiet street, so you don’t really feel the city bustle. The Japanese style apartment was spacious and the kitchenette was very convenient to whip up quick breakfasts before leaving for the the day.
- Ben (10/5): Fantastic stay at Mimaru Akasaka! - Everything was great, staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, location is very central, train stop down the road, lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, room was clean and wifi was good! Baby cot provided on arrival which we were grateful for. Rooms are a bit small, no balcony, could open windows a little bit to let fresh air in.
- Dale (9/5): Loved our week long stay, the area was great for restaurants and had a 7/11 straight across the road, - The rooms we chose were big. It was in a great area and convenient to the subway. The pillows were very hard.

- kristintokyo (10/5): Akasaka hotel - neighborhood gem! - Mimaru Akasaka is a wonderful little hotel. The staff are so friendly, and the location is in a fun spot in Minato-ku. The subway is very close by, and there's even a 7/11 across the street. This hotel is perfect for families.
- Shamim (10/5): -
- Desiree (10/5): We were incredibly happy with our stay at Mimaru Akasaka! We would love to come back and stay again, and will recommend - Location, great layout and space, clean and new. Kind staff. Exercise or gym area would be nice!
- Meander14205512437 (10/5): I love this hotel - I loved this experience because front desk was very nice and Japan was very beautiful. Plus the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable me and my sister slept on the couch and that was also very comfortable. I had a good night so I would really recommend this place.
- Dana (9/5): -
- Aaron (10/5): - Great location with easy train access to West Tokyo and beyond. Fun areas within walking distance as well
- Jennifer (8/5): Spacious room, great location, and excellent service - Spacious room
Accessible location with plenty of sightseeing nearby
Service from front desk (Charles) was exceptional. He can communicate well in English and also very helpful to help book onsen appointment at narita on my departure day. I needed assistance as the onsen booking was in Japaness. He has kept me informed via email. I am really grateful for his help to make my trip here more enjoyable. Thanks. Kids club is only for 4 and above. While it's a good option but having a younger age range would greatly help families with young kids.
- Sophia-in-DC (10/5): Would stay again! - Excellent 5 night stay at Mimaru in Akasaka. The room was spacious and the bathroom and kitchenette were clean. Front desk staff were very helpful, spoke great English, and even made us small keepsake Keychain with fallen cherry blossoms. The rooftop views were lovely to take in. One comment is the dining room furniture is oversized since the benches double as beds, and as a result there isnt a ton of room to maneuver, but this wasn't a huge inconvenience. Laundry room on the 1st floor has 3 washers and 3 driers, 400¥ to wash, 100¥ per 20 min to dry.

- 363maricelg (10/5): Would recommend, especially for families! - Great experience, perfect for families! Very clean rooms. Being from the states, the beds would be considered “extra firm” but we actually slept great, maybe that’s what we should be sleeping on back home.
Noise level, no complaints, it’s very peaceful. Also the main reason we didn’t want to stay in shibuya with little ones. We didn’t want to be in a busy area at the end of our nights.
Staff were super friendly and spoke great English!
Location accessible to train station 7-9min walk. We got to shibuya, Ginza, and Akihabara stations just fine. 7/11 across the street was awesome!
Overall we would stay here again!

- bunb2023 (10/5): Mimaru best room for family - The receptionist and teams is super helpful, gotta give it to Charles and Nikita for making our family trip feel ease and enjoy a full Tokyo experience! , the rooms is spacious best for family with kids and rooftop view is very nice and pleasant
- Patel (9/5): Great, central Tokyo location that is perfect for families. - Excellent location, friendly staff, comfortable, clean room. The restaurant downstairs.
- Jackson (10/5): -
- samduong (10/5): Great stay at Mimarmu! - Hi,
A big thank you to Mimarmu tokyo aksaka hotel. A boutique hotel with great service. Family oriented, clean, and with washing and drying machines.
- THUY ANNE (10/5): Great for families - Location, staff and spacious room
- Moosey_goosey (10/5): Excellent hotel in a lovely area - Loved this hotel. We had a room that had a two beds plus a pull out bed in the dining area. The dining area was petitioned off - there was also a kitchenette/fridge and one bathroom. Beds were comfortable and there was very little street noise - we were on 5th floor. The hotel had a communal laundry which was handy. The room was perfectly clean. The hotel provides small ammenities in the lobby (face cleanser etc). The staff were outstanding and very helpful. They also had a very useful recommendations folder for restaurants, massage...all sorts!
We really liked the area as it was a little quieter but still had plenty of restaurants and there was a convenience store directly across the road. The station was a short walk away so travelling around Tokyo was easy. We did walk to Shibuya once. It took around 40 minutes (we were wandering)...but worth it as we walked through a very high end area(Minamiaoyama) and also saw the massive cemetery.
We will definitely stay here again or at another Mimaru property as they seems to be of a very high standard.
- Danilo (10/5): Crew was very nice - Availability Not sure
- Daniel (10/5): - The staff at the front desk were exceptionally friendly, and the room was, quite frankly, spotless. Nothing really
- Blair (9/5): -
- anna (10/5): Semplicemente perfetto - Mi è piaciuto tutto Niente
- Linda (9/5): Good location and comfortable beds - Staff were helpful and polite, good communication skills Vendalation of the toilet is no good

- Sattamini (9/5): Nota 10 - Foi tudo ótimo! Nada.
- Jin Kyung (10/5): -
- stevenchen1979 (10/5): Our family had a great stay in your hotel! - The location is great with all the nearby eateries and convenient stores. The train station is also very straight forward direction and not far away (5 mins walk) which not too difficult even with your luggage.
Room is clean, reasonably spacious enough for our family (2 adults, 2 kids), but limited space for you to open bigger size luggage. You got everything that you need in the room!
Lastly, all the staffs are very nice & very helpful! I would like to try Mimaru Hotel in other different places in the future! Nothing specific that we didn't really like about. Keep up the good work!
- JeffA217 (4/5): Sparse, bare minimum apartment - Its an old refurbished apartment block. We are staying in a windowless room with bare essentials. Beds are horrendous. No amenities at all, no fitness center, no breakfast, no room service. Make your own extra beds for the kids. Location is ok. Shower and bathroom are not. Would not recommend
- Cleo (10/5): Awesome location and spacious room - Awesome location and very spacious
- Rebecca (8/5): -
- aribR3265EY (10/5): MIMARU Tokyo Akasaka stay - Excellent service. Great staff. Great location.
- Jin Kyung (8/5): -
- Christine (9/5): -
- TrailBlazer476841 (10/5): Fantastic! - Fantastic! Spacious, clean and close to the train station. 7-11 across the street for supplies and an atm down the road.
- RAN (10/5): Great place to stay in Tokyo - Convenient location and good stay Nothing
- B (8/5): - Staff were friendly and gave us great recommendations for where to eat nearby. The room was comfortable with all we needed for our stay.
- Carmen (9/5): Great place to stay particularly with the airport luggage service so we didn’t have to worry about our suitcases after c - Great quiet location away from hustle and bustle of other areas. Lots of food options nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
- gavanm2026 (10/5): Faultless stay - great accommodation, outstanding staff and service. - One of the best places I have stayed. Clean, roomy apartment with a view of the Tokyo SkyTree (floor 11). Very well appointed - 2 ring hob, microwave, filter coffee maker, air fryer, washer dryer to mention a few. Everything you would need! Washing liquid for clothes and dishes.
We booked the apartment with a dining room and four chairs. The dining chairs are as comfortable as a good armchair. Check-in was helpful, friendly and comprehensive and a range of additional extras are offered at no extra cost. We opted for a toaster and wine glasses- delivered to the room in moments. We also had a problem with the washing machine which again was resolved in minutes.
- Alisa (6/5): Pleasant but very over priced - Very clean. Lovely staff. Good location. It very expensive for what you get. No windows that you could see out so felt very cave like.
- Steven (9/5): -
- Phillip (8/5): - Good sized rooms, nicely appointed The hotel has only one lift, making entry and exit slow
- SHIH CHING (8/5): -
- Raphael (10/5): -
- Robert (10/5): Clean and tidy. Spacious and comfortable. - Quiet and spacious layout. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. Located near train lines making it easy to get around
- Meng (10/5): - Very central location to the main metro lines and lots of eateries around. None.
- Emily (8/5): - The location is excellent in a quiet neighbourhood. We had 2 adjoining family rooms which was great with two teenagers so that everyone had a bed. I would not recommend the rooms with couches and futons for tall teenage children, they would be uncomfortable and it would be very cramped with luggage. They would suit families with younger children though.

- Bogdan (10/5): Location and staff! - Location is very convenient and staff super friendly and helpful.
- johnrZ463KZ (10/5): Mimaru Akasaka - Akasaka was easy enough to get around from
and walking distance from Teamlabs, quick metro to Harijuku too
Mimaru was excellent and accomodating. The rooms were large enough for our needs too. City view was excellent.
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Chieko (6/5): Very good - Cleanness and size of the room. Didn’t have normal table and chairs so was hard on our legs
- Jallyn (10/5): - Staff were were lovely and super helpful. We loved all the special touches, including staff recommendations, NYs traditions and games for kids, comprehensive information on their webpage (guest & room services), pajamas. Location was also perfect for our family - easy to get to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Tokyo station & Roppongi, but safe & outside the hustle of those areas Can't think of anything we didn't like!
- Angelo (8/5): Decent stay considering average prices in Tokyo - great location, pretty basic room but for Tokyo standard is ok no coffee machine in the room
- yvettet2026 (10/5): Mimaru for me - My family and I enjoyed our stay at Mimaru Tokyo Akasaka! We are a family of 5 and the room did not feel cramped and we did not feel like we were on top of each other. We loved the location!! Across the street from 7/11 and less than 5 minute walk to the C line. The hotel is extremely kid friendly!! They had masks and games outside and a kids Korner inside. Staff was super friendly and extremely helpful when we had questions. They have recommendations from their own experiences and around the area. As parents - the best part - LAUNDRY ROOM!! The washer came with detergent!!!
- Chia Pei (9/5): Perfect for our family of 4 for a short stay! - The location, metro station is only 4 minutes away None
- celinasL9202OD (10/5): A enjoy my stay - It's very well located, in a quiet area but close to Tokyo's highlights. The staff is very friendly. The Japanese-style apartment is very clean, and its design is beautiful and efficient. I think it's a bit expensive compared to other places in the same category. It only accommodates a family with young children, not four adults, because it's too small.
