Guest Reviews
- Maciej (9/5): Polecam, swietnie doświadczenie. - Swietne miejsce - idalna odległośc dojazdu Bidiya, polecam przy dojeżdzie własnym autem skorzystać z bezpłanej usługi przewodnika, powrót bez problemu samodzielnie.
Duży wybór aktywności na miejscu - warte skorzystania.
Śniadania i kolacje bardzo dobre - duży wybór dań.
Bardzo dobra obługa. Brak sejfu w pokojach.

My husband and me enjoyed morning Yoga =) we can definitely recommend that!
We food was very delicious and the evening Fire with hot chocolate was also great
We stayed for two nights, but in retrospective we should have stayed for at least three nights in total - was very relaxing with the small kids

- Maddalena (9/5): Una bella conferma!

Esperienza meravigliosa .

- Guillaume (9/5): Amazing - Amazing location in the heart oh the desert
Superb tents
Very good food
Overall great atmosphere Nothin
- Cedric (10/5): - Tout, c'était parfait, lieu, accueil, nourriture...
- David (9/5): Wow! Great experience! - Spectacular property — exactly as shown in the photos.
Our package included both breakfast and dinner. The food was fresh with a wide variety of options. We decided to stay only one night because we weren’t sure whether two days might be too much for our 6-year-old child, but we can honestly say that even three days would have been perfect.
The shared swimming pool is lovely, and taking a dip in the middle of the desert is something everyone should experience at least once in their life. We explored the surroundings on foot, ventured across the dunes, and it was absolutely fantastic.
Included in the package, the hotel offers sandboarding, an astronomer who explains the constellations, hot chocolate by the fire, and a falcon show. There are also additional paid activities such as yoga sessions and desert excursions.
The only minor drawbacks, if we can call them that, were the absence of a telephone in the room, a hairdryer, and a mini fridge. We needed a fridge to store our child’s medication, which had to be kept at reception and was not always easy to access. For example, after giving our child a quick shower in the evening, we had to walk all the way to reception to ask for a hairdryer — about a five-minute walk from our tent — and having a phone in the room would have been very helpful. Additionally, when we arrived, it took quite some time for the staff to bring our luggage to the tent, even though we had arrived well in advance.
Nothing major, but considering the price we paid, we expected these basic services to be handled more efficiently. That said, the staff was always kind and welcoming.
- Michelle (9/5): Comfortable night in the desert. - Luxury in the desert. Would have liked a more Bedouin cultural experience.
On a adoré notre séjour!! Rien!
- bernard (6/5): -
- Schön angelegtes Camp mitten in der Wüste, bietet alles an Komfort, was man braucht.
- Camilla (8/5): Desert around and a sky full of stars above you - Location and atmosphere is really amazing. The camp is located in the middle of the dunes.
Staff: Chatrapal, in particular, was really kind and gave us very good tips! He was very helpful. Food could be improved but considering the location is okay!
- Vlaho (10/5): Definitely recommend! - Thousand Nights Camp is a beautiful resort. The price is slightly higher than other desert camps, but it is absolutely worth it – this is not really a camp, but a true desert resort. It’s amazing that something like this exists about 50 km into the desert. The food was excellent, the staff extremely friendly, and swimming in a pool in the middle of the desert was a unique experience.
Arrival by car is easy: from Al Raka (Al Raqa) simply follow the black electricity poles – they lead directly to the camp. There are also several road signs along the way. As an extra backup, OSMAND offline navigation works very well; just open this link: https://osmand.net/go.html?lat=22.09976&lon=58.75934&z=17
Most of the route is not soft sand but a well-compacted sandy road. For first-time desert drivers, the road is quite bumpy, so driving at a slightly higher speed (around 60 km/h, as locals do) actually makes the ride smoother. Even inexperienced drivers can manage without any special sand-driving skills. Be sure to deflate your tires before entering the desert. A proper 4x4 is recommended, although we also saw several regular AWD cars (such as a Suzuki Vitara or Mazda CX-5) parked at the resort.
- Julia (9/5): - Great facilities and very attentive staff. Enjoyed our time there a lot
- Michael (9/5): - We had a beautiful stay in a Deluxe Tent. The room, food, service, and setting were all exceptional. Significant highlights:
Sunset in the dunes: you can walk from camp to a stunning sunset spot and watch the sun go down over the valley. We found it easiest to go barefoot to navigate the soft sand.
Sunrise yoga: The teacher, Shubham, is from the birthplace of yoga in India. He brought incredible energy and wisdom to class—it was unlike anything I’ve attended in Canada. What a gift to have the chance to practice with him.
ATVs: We had so much fun exploring the dunes surrounding camp. Riding in the sand is an unforgettable experience.
*tip: sign up early for activities as spots do fill up.
Hele goede service! Dikke aanrader!
- Marie (9/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Thousand Night Camp. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and the team was very welcoming.
We would especially like to thank Shubham for the yoga class. It was my very first yoga lesson and I absolutely loved it. He took the time to explain many things clearly and made everyone feel comfortable. I learned a lot and it was a truly relaxing and memorable experience.
Thank you again for this special moment in the desert. We highly recommend this place!
- philippe (10/5): -
- Martha (10/5): -
- AndreaPasquali (10/5): - We really liked everything and we could really relax. The activities were well organized, we could enjoy the beautiful desert and watch fantastic sunsets. Plus: Amouage products in the bathroom :-) Before staying in the camp, it was a bit difficult to communicate to organize the activities: no clear list of activities, no clear understanding what was included already etc. So, I suggest to book them directly at the reception without "spending" time to understand what to do before being there :-)
- Rob (10/5): Erg leuk verblijf in de woestijn. Leuke activiteiten.
- Fahim (9/5): Luxurious, comfortable, desert experience. - Food was excellent. Great ambiance. Deep in the desert.
- Luca (10/5): - Very friendly stuff. Beautiful camp incl. the houses we lived in. Food was amazing! Lastly, the camp offers lots of cool activities such as a bonfire, stargazing etc. All in all a 10 out of 10 experience!
- Diane (10/5): - Large property really nicely set up. Had a pool tent super comfy large great a/c.
- Alasdair (10/5): Great place for a stop over. Luxury tent with a small private pool if you really want to splash out for one night. - Remote and in the desert after an exiting drive but with all the facilities you could wish for. The “stargazing” was not really up to scratch as too many lights around and the occasional vehicle headlights passing.
- HEDWIG (8/5): Leuk verblijf - De ligging. Heel goed ontbijt en avondbuffet.
- Cécile (9/5): -

- Shawn (7/5): Great property, super clean, awesome staff, noisy off-site neighbors - Great staff, very clean facility, nice Arabic tents, excellent food. We traveled with our 1 year old son, who goes to bed at a fairly hour. The resort itself was very quiet and people were super respectful of others, but unfortunately people outside the property were not. Two trucks pulled up just outside of the premises and began lighting off fireworks at about 9pm, which unfortunately woke our son up. When I visited 7 years ago, the same thing happened. That is only two data points, and I don't know how frequently it occurs, but I wouldn't go back there with a very young child specifically for that reason now. Please note that this is not the fault of the resort or the employees. I would want anyone with young children to be aware of this, though.
- Olivier (8/5): -
- Filip (10/5): -
- Quentin (2/5): Tourist trap - The bonfire. Completely overpriced for the quality.
Not clean. Very rudimentary and basic, no confort at all.
- Luke (10/5): -
- Sokona (8/5): -
- Randa (10/5): -
staff lento (servizio ritiro bagagli mancante / Phon solo su consegna in reception)
- Janka (10/5): Very comfortable, and clean, and thoroughly enjoyable. - The room was great, views were excellent, care was excellent. Everything was clean and very comfortable. I remember having a bathroom without a ceiling so that we could shower under the stars, and this was what I was expecting. I’m sure I booked the same room, but it seems the bathrooms do not have that anymore.
- Billy (9/5): - Delicious food and incredibly friendly staff. Lovely peaceful location away from it all.
- Nabil (10/5): Super camp ! Incroyable - Super Camp !

Piscina privata logora e poco curata.
- Ta_Ma (7/5): - The nature, the sunset camel ride, the dinner, and the star gazing with the very knowledgeable astronomer were amazing. We booked a double bed sheik tent with a view but once we got to our tent we found a twin bed tent with no view. When we queried this at reception they informed us that no double bed tents were available and that our booking was on best effort only (our booking clearly stated extra large double bed with view). We were then promised that our beds would be pushed together while we were at dinner, this didn't happen. We then pushed them together ourselves only to see that the space under the beds was very dirty. We were very disappointed in how this clear downgrade was dealt with - there was absolutely no apology nor an attempt to give some sort of compensation.
The breakfast was also only mediocre.

- Patrick (7/5): Real desert experience - bucket list material - An outstanding location in the middle of the desert and truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The camp is very well run, and the staff is generally attentive and present throughout the stay.
I would particularly like to highlight the exceptionally courteous, helpful, friendly, and at all times unobtrusive service provided by Bipin and Zaran, who stood out very positively among the large pool of staff. That said, while the overall service level is high, a small number of employees were somewhat overly persistent in encouraging reviews — interestingly, these were not necessarily the individuals delivering the strongest service.
- Marco (9/5): A thrilling experience in the heart of the omani desert. Surrounded by luxury and beauty. - Quad and the guides and both sunset and sunrise Food. Too many kids.

- Alex (9/5): Exciting Desert Camp with great activities - really enjoyed our stay. - Incredibly nice Desert camp - we had an outstanding experience. The camp is extremely exciting. It offers really cool entertainment - e.g. daily 2 falcon shows, Camel riding, desert tours, stargazing, etc.
The tents and rooms are nice, and the surrounding mindblowing.
The staff is very accomodating. The kids loved it.
1000% recommandable! Rien tout était absolument parfait!
- jean-yves (10/5): Au top - Le Riad trip pour y aller , l accueil, le personnel, l excellent dîner Rien
- Antenor Cesar (8/5): Great camp to visit the Omani desert - Good overall facilities and nice activities. Food was great and tent was comfortable. The hotel staff was professional and efficient, but there is some room for improvement in terms of warmth and approachability. A slightly more cordial, helpful, and welcoming attitude would make the overall experience even better.
- Yasmine (5/5): - Location Staff was not responsive.
No more wash hand soap.
Our booking for camel ride sunset was postponed to next day sunrise due to lack of camels.
No coffee in the morning due to issue.
