• Bryan (8/5): - Handy for the railway station, literally 3mins from the building you can be on the platform. Little disappointed with the utensils in the self catering apartment, a reasonable selection of pots & pans are pretty useless without a knife to prepare anything with, & not even a bottle opener. And the shower cubicle needs some attention as the door doesn’t close properly causing a flood if you’re not extremely careful. But on the whole, for the price, a reasonable stay, let down by 1 or 2 basics.
• Iris (2/5): - There is no lift to go 3 rd fl also the receptionist is very rude he doesn’t know how to speak politely when we asks for extra pillows and towels he seems very annoyed and when we talk to him he seems always annoyed and doesn’t not want to be bothered. Lots of beggars outside and what’s up with the graffiti all over the place?
• Pascal (8/5): Bien placé mais correct - Appartement rénové mais on dirait de la rénovation fait maison, de piètre qualité. Appartement d'après la réception au deuxième étage sans ascenseur, quand on ouvre la porte, un troisième étage surprise. Difficile de monter les valises et couloir très étroit. L'escalier qui arrive en haut est dangereux car on peux vite tomber dedans en sortant de la chambre. Il faut vider les poubelles avant de rendre la chambre. Réception et petit dejeuner à l'hôtel Alex à côté, rien à dire. Réception ouverte 24/24 h, petit déjeuner qualité prix ok, garde les valises au départ et à l'arrivée gratuitement.
• Fouad (6/5): Week end en famille à Marseille - Appartement bien placé pour tous faire à pied. Avec un véhicule il est conseillé de réserver une place de parking proposée par l Hôtel. Logement convenable pour 4 personne. La Propreté laisse à désirer. Personnel accueillant et très sympathique. La salle de sport est bien équipée. Le buffet petit déjeuner avait l air top .

• Margaret (10/5): - Very nice room - we ended up in the rooftop room, which has a great little terrace. To keep in mind, there is no elevator and up to four flights of stairs. We could have had access to spa and there’s a nice lobby with free coffee. Very close to train station.

• Elizabeth (10/5): - Good layout in apartment. Sofa bed was very comfortable. Shower was amazing. Very close to the train station which was great. Delicious bakery just a few steps from the door and a good City Carrefour not too far which was ideal.
• Colin (8/5): - The apartment was excellent and quiet, with all you need for longer stay. Staff friendly and helpful and location near metro and trains was a plus ((hint: use side entrance via metro entrance and escalators to avoid the huge number of front steps in front of station). The stairs to apartment were always going to be an issue with no lift, but prepared for that. Felt a little unsafe at night with locals using front entrance as seating whilst eating and smoking but nothing serious.

• FRANCIS (8/5): - Magnifique découverte à Marseille. Personnel professionnel, sympa. J’ai été surclassé dans l’immeuble à l’arrière. Je ne m’attendais pas à une si jolie adresse au bas de la gare St Charles. Déjeuner sur une petite terrasse très agréable. Bravo pour cet endroit dont je n’hésiterai pas à revenir et à recommander.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Catastrophe - commentaire récent 10 /08/2024 - Hôtel à éviter Sur hôtels .com l établissement communique sur le nom urban spa Rien n indique qu il faut passer par un établissement nommé Alex spa On vous donne une clé il faut resssortir de l hôtel pour aller dans un immeuble à 3 portes ce sont des appartements dans lesquels on a donné un coup de peinture Et je viens de découvrir qu en France les hôtels sont en droit de refuser de fournir une facture aux clients pour justifier l occupation de la chambre et le règlement de celle ci , sous prétexte que les prix négociés avec Hotels.com sont inférieurs et du coup l établissement peut facturer zéro euros si ça leur chante vu qu il n existe pas Ça passe par la compta sûrement d Alex hôtel lol Faut arrêter de prendre les gens pour des imbeciles lol Bizarrement déclaration fiscale de la marge brut 100% du coup zéro benef lol

• Petra (10/5): - Das Hotelpersonal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Vor allem Victoria, die ausgezeichnet deutsch spricht, hat uns immer freundlich empfangen und es ermöglicht, dass wir während der EM Fußball im Pay-TV schauen konnten. Top Service - nochmals herzlichen Dank dafür!!! Die Umgebung gegenüber des Bahnhofs ist zwar nicht die schönste und durch die Hauptverkehrsstraße laut (bei geschlossenem Fenster kein Problem), für uns war es aber optimal, da wir ganz unkompliziert Ausflüge nach Arles, Cassis etc. mit dem Zug unternehmen konnten. Die Lofts, Empfang, Lounge, Terrasse sind sehr geschmackvoll, modern mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Absolute Empfehlung, wenn man nicht nur Marseille, sondern auch die Umgebung mit dem Zug erkunden will (5 Gehminuten zum Zug Metro). Zum alten Hafen ca. 15 Gehminuten.

• valerie (10/5): Whaou - Mon expérience commence par une petite frayeur avec un interlocuteur injoignable (coordonnees transmises par hotel.com non mis à jour) après échange avec le site le probleme a vite été résolu. Arrivée à Marseille, nous avons été très bien recus par l hotel gestionnaire mitoyen des appartements. Quant à l appartement, magnifique avec une superbe vue de la terasse sur les toits de marseille. Il etait propre, spacieux avec une deco moderne et bien insonorisé. En effet il se situe à proximité immédiate de la gare donc il y a beaucoup de passage. Nous avons pris le petit dejeuner qui etait servi dans l hotel mitoyen, ce dernier fut très copieux et proposé sur une plage horaire large. Enfin, clou du spectacle, un très beau SPA a disposition (service en supplement).
• Enrico (6/5): - L'appartamento era confortevole, ma sporco i lampadari grondavano polvere, le scale in una settimana non sono mai state pulite. La SPA era chiusa per lavori di riammodernamento nessuno ci ha avvisato preventivamente nè ci è stato offerto alcun sconto o gratuity. L'appartamento si trova a ridosso di un giardino pubblico dove per 23 ore al giorno un gruppo di sbandati urla e litiga di continuo. I lavori della nuova metropolitana aumentano il rumore e la polvere.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Nous avons séjourné dans les Z'appart hôtel au 3eme étage (rooftop) pendant une semaine. Au global, l'établissement est correct mais reste cher pour la prestation. Les + : - l'appartement est très spacieux et bien décoré, la terrasse a une belle vue sur les toits de Marseille - le personnel, surtout le directeur et Christine qui sont à l'écoute et d'une grande gentillesse - l'hôtel est situé juste à coté de la gare Les - : - l'hotel est dans un quartier très insécure et assez lugubre surtout le soir, et il faut compter 15 minutes pour accéder au vieux port et non 5 minutes comme indiqué - cela n'est pas mentionné dans le descriptif mais il vous faudra monter 4 escaliers assez raides pour atteindre l'appartement situé au 3e etage, il n'y a pas d'ascenseur - une taxe de séjour et des frais de ménage nous ont été facturé à notre arrivée. Ce qui nous a extrêmement surpris (comme beaucoup d'autres personnes visiblement). - L'appartement est très peu équipé si vous avez besoin de cuisiner et il mériterait un petit rafraîchissement (canapé en mauvais état, poussière sur les bordures de l'appartement...)
• Alexandre (8/5): - Appartement T3 au dernier étage avec grande terrasse. Placé à côté de la gare. Si vous avez une voiture, l'hotel ne dispose pas de parking. Sinon très bon hotel pour le prix (110€/nuit)

• Verified traveler (10/5): C'etait un tres bon sejour - 1.Tous les receptions de l'hotel etaient tres gentilles pour moi. 2.La climatisation dans la chambre etait excellente.Wifi aussi! 3.La chambre etait bien equippe.Il n'y avait aucun inconvenient. 4.Il y avait un réfrigérateur avec congélateur,c'etait tres pratique. 5.Certainement, escaliers sont sombres et effrayants.Mais, il etait amusant de penser que cela est normal en France. 6.Je pouvais voir le vieux port de la fenêtre de la chambre.J'etait tres contente!
• Gwladys (8/5): - Appartement très bien décoré, très bien insonorisé et très propre, manque cependant de quelques ustensiles dans la cuisine ( ouvre bouteille, saladier, plats, égouttoir pour la vaisselle...) et un débit médiocre de la box, regarder la télé avec des images qui se figent, qui pixelisent et qui se mettent en pause n est pas très agréable. Nous avons toutefois passé un agréable séjour! un grand MERCI à l équipe de Alex hôtel qui ont été très accueillants pour le Check in et Check out, il nous a été possible de laisser nos bagages en toute sécurité à la bagagerie de l hôtel lors de notre départ en attendant notre train. A recommander lors de votre séjour à Marseille
• Quynh (8/5): Spacious apartment but no lifts - Urban loft is ideally located across from the main train station, which is perfect if you intend on travelling by train in France. The area may not seem all that safe but just have your wits about you. Check in is at the Alex Hotel next door and if you have heavy luggage or too much, there are no lifts so you may want to reconsider as the stairs are narrow and steep. A small supermarket is close by and a bakery who sold fresh baguettes, rolls and yummy cakes. Apartment is modern and spacious but the kitchen lacked your usual needs like kitchen knives. We chose an apartment to allow us to make quick meals for our kids but there were no kitchen knives and some other kitchen basics. Bathroom is spacious as we have found bathrooms in Europe small so this was a nice feature. Overall a nice apartment but due to the stairs, we are unlikely to stay here again.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Urban Loft topplägenheten - Vi kom med tåg till stationen mitt över gatan. Såg skylten "Alex Hotel" direkt så de va ingen konst att hitta dit. Vi bodde högst upp. Så från tåget till lägenheten var de rätt många trappsteg. Men inget som vi hade problem med. Helt klart värt de när man kom upp. Turistskatt och städning betalade vi på plats. Där fick man välja om de skulle städas varje dag eller på slutet. Väldigt hjälpsam och trevlig personal som dessutom kunde engelska. De var inget som man förövrigt blev bortskämd med.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Fair - Location wise very accessible from Gare St Charles, just across the station and walk further downhill. Confusing as to where you will check in and get your key. Until we asked ALEX Hotel which was beside Urban Loft. This is where you Will check in. Our loft unit is located on the 3rd floor. Not advisable for people on their Senior years, or PWD or having large luggages, there is NO elevator and you have to bring it up yourself using a spiral stairs (50+ steps). Very exhausting going UP and down. Room wise, Space was fairly big compared to other Europeans hotels which is just a quarter size of the unit. Complete kitchen which is a plus. Complete toiletries and towels and linens. You Will be charge for City taxes and cleaning Service which cost approximately, 10+ Euro per night. Since, Gare St Charles is just across , it was very easy if you want use the Metro and also Airport buses.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Chambre parfaite pour mes besoins et prix raisonnable. Toutefois, les frais de 22€ supplémentaires pour le ménage a été une surprise à mon arrivée. Petit point pour la commodité, il serait bien d’avoir du sel, poivre, filtres à café etc. De petits trucs qui fait la différence entre un bon séjour et une expérience rehaussée. Tout de même, je recommande l’endroit et y retournerai sans hésiter
• corinne (10/5): Appartement Luxueux pour court séjour - Appartement très spacieux moderne Fonctionnel.il faut juste savoir ce que je n'ai vu nul part que les appartements sont desservis par un escalier en colimaçon pas d'ascenseur alors quand vous êtes au troisième avec des valises de 25 kilos c'est du sport' . Fortement déconseillé aux personnes âgées et handicapées.. nous avons réservé pour deux nuits à l aller 3 étage avec une femme handicapée au retour la personne gérant les appartements a été conciliante et nous a déplacé au 1 merci Juste une faute de goût le tapis jaune Tâché de partout. Attention aux bruits de rue Double vitrage pas suffisant On entend tous le bruits de rue Circulation et autres.

Place was cool and convenient to train station but I’m not such a desirable area.

Très bon accueil à la réception de l'hôtel pour récupérer les clés. Cadre idéal en déplacement professionnel pour travailler tranquillement en attendant une réunion.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Appart au top ! - Nous avons appréciées notre court séjour à Marseille, grâce notamment au choix de cet appartement qui est très bien situé (restaurant, métro, commerces de bouche, petit supermarché) propre et très équipé. Grand et lumineux, on y dort bien malgré la situation du lieu. Décoration, literie, équipements tout est bien. l'accueil au checkin d'arrivée et de sortie est fort agréable. Possibilité de laisser ses valises ! Cet appartement est top ! je recommande vivement cet établissement. Je reviendrai sans hésiter.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Appartamento con divano letto abbastanza carino - L'arredamento era buono, ma non mi è piaciuto che ho dovuto montare il divano letto da sola. Quando sono entrata sembrava molto spazioso ed ero meravigliata che ci fosse un divano. Ma era il mio letto che ho dovuto aprire da sola con molta fatica. Complessivamente positivo, posizione molto comoda, anche se la porta d'entrata sembrava di cartone: sentivo tutto ciò che accadeva fuori, tutto.

• Wan (8/5): Spacious one bed apartment, next to St Charles - Spacious one bed apartment, opposite St Charles station, so handy if you want to travel within Marseille or outwards. It is probably not the nicest part of Marseille, but some say Marseille is not the nicest French city anyway. The bedroom was large, as was the living room. The kitchen had basic crockery, cutlery and one pan and pot, sufficient for us. The bathroom was spacious, though the shower drainage is slow. The separate toilet was very small. They use the Alex Hotel next for reception, which is useful to ask for things, though they couldn't deal with anything specific about the apartment, such as the broken door inside the front door of apartment. Notified them on day 2 and didn't get fixed at all. Our apartment didn't have washing machine, which was a pain as stayed 7 nights. We eventually found laverie, but if you have a car, it may be worthwhile taking washing with you on a day trip and find a laverie there, e.g. we found one in Cassis which would have been a better use of our time.
