Kelly (4/5): - The room was ok. It was clean. Fridge was broken. Air conditioner blew into the curtain but room was not too hot so that was good. The staff was great. Friendly and professional. There was not a working vending machine on site and a lot of the crane machines were not funtioning, low on prizes or broken. The arcade had the same issues. A lot of games not turned on, and the prize games were not stocked with prizes. We still managed to have fun but the cost was expensive. The waterpark was fun but really cold. My seven year old had an amazing time on the many waterslides. My 3 year old had fin but there was only a toddler pool that was less than a goot deep for her to go in. There was no pool for me to swim with her. It was only water slides, splash pads, and a "river" with a forceful current. The snack shack wasnt open, and when i asked about it, i was told they dont do enoigh business during the week. In all honesty, i was one of 4 families there, and by the time we left, we were the only ones there (which was perfect for me). I would honestly go back, but i would stay at a different hotel.

Terri (2/5): - Booked the hotel/resort because it was close to Milan and was coming for my mother’s funeral. My experience was horrible. I booked 4 rooms nothing worked: the elevator was out of order, ice machine on th 2nd floor was out of order ( according to the front desk person it’s been out for a while, stains in the shower, iron had something stuck in the holes and the others not working, plugs were not operational, fridge had melted ice cream in the bottom of it. It has resort in the name and it is far from being a resort. We were told the maintenance person only works till 3 pm. I will never choose proximity over quality. It should be shut down.

Debra (8/5): - Very friendly my daughter loved the indoor pool more than the water park, the noise scared her from the water, although I don't think I got a double room with queen size beds I believe they were only full size beds, there was no vending machines working at all there was nothing as in a breakfast bar just coffee that was strong, but could have had different types of juice for kids and cereal, the outside needs lawn care bad, a bench by the doors would be nice for us seniors
Cheryl (4/5): - The walls are so thin. Our neighbors were still playing music and talking loudly at 4:30am and nothing was done about it. Finally stopped at 6am. Needed morning coffee after a sleepless night. Coffee in lobby was like mud. Had to walk over to Tim Hortons. Did find the staff to be friendly.

At the actual water park, the jacuzzi was out of order, the lockers were out of order. The wet bar wasn’t open. Definitely was a disappointment.

The property looks abandoned.The landscape is overgrown and not kept period the inside.Looks abandoned.Bending machines are empty comma they do not serve breakfast comma there is a fifty dollar fee to get into the water park area regardless.If you are swimming or not, which is a waste of money, because I had a little baby in my group as well as my husband who was leaving in a few hours to go to work.And there was no need to pay for both of them just because we were going to be in the area with the other kids.

Verified traveler (2/5): Dirty and unkept facilities - Upon arrival I was notified that the water park hours were from 3pm-9pm, which was upsetting because the website does not reflect this. Very frustrated because I always like to have my little go before check out next day. The room was dirty. There were fresh brown/red stains on the bed. Floors and fridge was dirty. The phone didn’t work and had missing buttons (couldn’t call front desk). Spoke to the front desk attendant and they flat out told me the owner has several properties and he does not invest into this one at all. They said the carpet and facility hasn’t been fixed or updated since purchase precovid. Again relayed the owner just does not care. The water park was nice but the bathrooms in there were absolutely disgusting. Poop on the walls and toilets. Toilet paper shreds, left behind clothes, and wet towels all over-all left from days prior, as we were the only visitors that day. The staff was nice but the facilities and uncleanliness are not worth the $. You’re better off going to Great wolf lodge
Michelle (6/5): - So the front desk was pretty nice, two ladies in particular, Gina, I forget the others name, but they were really flexible w/ the hotel pool, since the splash resort pool closed at 9. There is no hot tub in the hotel pool, or even at the splash report because the “hot springs” was shut down, but even still you couldn’t be under 18 which really sucks because try going with your kids but telling your kids, “sorry can’t go in” when they’ve been going in hot tub since they were born. Anyways except from the guy( younger boy) who was still a high school or in college, on our last day was one of the ONLY ones I seen cleaning the resort area. He was very attentive to tending to the water area, but also getting the tubes up and out of the water, he swept, folded laundry. It was almost shocking because aside from the two brunettes who were working at the resort when we first arrived, I hadn’t seen anyone clean anything our whole stay (4days) There were spots on the carpet, things needed to be restocked, garbages, etc but the employees would just sit in that back office at the front desk, not even watching the front because I’d have to ring the bell to get their attention. I think the passes should be included in the stay, because the hotel side of it is a bit run down, there’s not even a microwave in room. There was the same spot on the carpet that needed to be vacuumed for days…people shouldn’t have to pay for their whole stay, just to be told at check in that they owe 180 still
LaTricia (6/5): - The lady at the front desk has an horrible attitude. Her customer service skills are poor and she shouldn’t be working with anyone or the public if she doesn’t know how to be nice. Overall the room wasn’t bad, but there some areas that were over looked. The property most definitely needs a hot tub.

Verified traveler (6/5): Strange Atmosphere - All in all, my two daughters and I had fun. The place left me wondering.... There is a large banner that says "We're Now Open" although it has been open for some time. From the outside, you may not think so. It was dark. At night, nothing is lit up. During the day, all of the landscaping is overgrown. Coffee in the lobby never had stir sticks or napkins. All of the vending machines nesr the lobby were empty and out of order, including the elevator. Maid service did pick up towels outside of our door but I had the fetch my own as they never came in to clean. Side Note: if you book through Hotels.com, it does NOT include the waterpark price. Moving on to that. The Snack Shack was not open, the arcade claw machines were almost out of stock and the claws weren't strong enough to hold onto anything with the weight of what was left. Along the table areas in the pool area, there were ants due to food being left under the tables. In the souvenir shop, the A/C condenserd were driping water all along the whole back of the shop, right onto whatever was below. As for the location....Excellent! Tons of food options within walking distance as well as Cabela's. If you're not picky, it was a good getaway and not crowded at all on the weekdays.

There wasn't even a tissue box. There was not a continental breakfast even. It was a expensive trip and common necessary items weren't provided. .

Jason (8/5): Great getaway in the middle of the week. - This was our first two-room vacation, and the staff was extremely friendly and courteous in helping us find the best location. We had a toilet that wouldn't flush, and the staff moved both rooms to a different location in order to rectify the problem. The rooms and overall hotel were clean, the staff was friendly, and we will be returning soon.

Dr. (4/5): Not worth the trip - There are so many other waterparks that are 500% better than this one for the same price. My 8 year old granddaughter wanted to leave after 2 hours. This park might be good for small babies and toddlers? Not bigger kids. All the vending machines were out of order. The restaurant was closed. There were hardly any people. We waited 15 minutes to pay to get in when it opened. The arcade was not air conditioned and was unbearable to stay in... Not a good experience. Go to a different waterpark. Would not go here again.

Cassandra (6/5): - What I didnt like was the fact expedia didnt explain that there was an additional fee to enter the water park. Imagine renting three rooms and having to pay $50 per person with a group of 12. You all need to put that on the site. The hotel was very accommodating but i was livid.
Shelby (2/5): - Waterpark passes are not included with stay, which is dumb, as that is not listed. Staff is unprofessional. My room which was 134 smelt horrible, the staff only came in and sprayed air freshener. Refrigerator in the room does not work. The shower gel in the shower was not filled. Hair in the tub. Breakfast bar was not served, although it's advertised. Vending machines in the Resort was down. So you couldn't buy snacks or drinks which is crazy.. The WaterPark was hotter than it was outside. Very slippery when trying to walk to different areas of the WaterPark. Lockers for the day was pricey.. be sure to pack drinks and snacks. They charge 2.00 for 50 cent chips and 3.00 for a can of pop. Arcade Room was horrible. No prizes were filled in most of the machines. Very dark & 100° in there. I don't know if their cooling system is down or what.. but $60/ticket for the WaterPark was not worth it.

Theresa (4/5): Splash resort - When we got there we didn’t realize the water park wasn’t included or offered a discount. No breakfast offered. Vending , ice and elevators were all out of order. Stood at the desk to have someone let us into pool area and for more towels. Bed was comfortable and room was clean.

Dana Marie (2/5): Waterpark hotel which does not include waterpark - Waterpark hotel which does not include the waterpark or lifeguards or any employees. great place to go if you want to practice being a lifeguard since they are not there most of the time or on their cell phones when they are. Advertised as pool and waterpark included but was an additional $50 pp per day. Waterpark was closed whenever they felt like it and water was leaking from the ceilings. Food and drinks available from vending machine which I can only assume accepts Canadian dollars or some form of money from 1987. Terrible hotel, save yourself the trouble and just go to Great Wolf with actual employees.
Angela (6/5): - Last time we visited the resort was in 2016. And you could tell the difference. Which shouldn’t be. Things should have improved over time yet it didn’t. The hotel is outdated. We had to move 3 times to get a standard room that met our expectations and they actually still didn’t meet our expectations but my daughter and I still had a blast and made the best of it. The morning of check out, i called to get a late check out and to get more towels but the phones were down. So instead of enjoying our room and the bed, i was forced to get up and go to the front desk. There was no complimentary breakfast. I even inquired and was told there would be coffee but by the morning, there was no coffee. The elevators weren't working and there was a leakage in the business center area. The bath tubs are rusted and the info you see on the phones to call the front desk are no longer attached to the phones. The staff was really nice and accommodating and we really enjoyed the manager Jerry. He was really nice and helpful, making sure our stay was pleasant. We walked to the Great Lakes restaurant and there food was excellent. My daughter enjoyed the water park and didn’t want to leave so we will back with her other siblings soon! Overall, we had an amazing stay and will go back.

Jerry (2/5): - Could not use the water park when I got there from 6:00 to 8:00 then the next day the water park was tied up to 2:00 p.m. so we only got 5 hours to swim pillow's hair hair all over and both bedrooms pillows not clean human hair on them manager was not cooperative with me for making it convenience for me and my kids on the swimming activity overcharged me $350 for 2 days of swimming passes which I only got to swim approximately about 2 days I got eight hours of swim time not cool at all splash universe I will never go to splash universe again or take my kids it's trash and the first thing he said my owners are in business to make money not to give money back he never gave courtesy to the customer first recommendation never go there again.
Kimberly (8/5): - For a “smoke free” room it smelled awfully smokey, but overall cleanliness was good. Front desk was very friendly and good at clarifying that the park is a separate charge. My family had a blast. The cost of stay plus the water park did seem pricy but nothing too much to complain about.

Sherry (2/5): - The water park is so small, and the price is outrageous, i booked thru a 3rd party, i had 2 rooms for a 9 year old bday, when we arrived we were told that the room did not include the waterpark, and it was $50 a person, so for 7 people to use a splash pad, not a water park i had to pay and extra $280 just to use the splash pad. Do no go to this facility it is not worth the money that i spent, it cost me $450 to stay over night for 7 people
Bradley (10/5): Good place to stay in Dundee. - I don't like giving negative reviews but I hope it helps both to the resort's management and fellow travelers. It looks like they've had a hard time keeping up with the place. The grounds were overgrown and appeared unkept. In one of the rooms we booked the toilet tank was off and they hadn't made note not to book the room. Our room, the hairdryer was missing and I had to go get one. On a postive note, the beds were very comfortable. If you are using the water park it'd be a nice place to stay as the rates were very reasonable (book directly with the hotel though, the park fee isn't included when booked through a 3rd party). The bar was fantastic! We had a blast there so that was fun. All in all about a 3.
Anthony (2/5): - Place was nice, just wish it said the park was not included with the stay. Drove a hour in a half to be driving home at 8:30. Tried to make the best of it with my kids by using the pool but there was atleast 20 kids in there so we only got about a hours worth of playing. Not mad at the place just an overall depressing trip with the kids.

Nicholas (6/5): If you need to stay here, it’s an option. - It was fine. Dated hotel attached to a water park. A little expensive for the quality. They didn’t service our room for the two days we were there which seems like something pretty standard to do during a stay. Room was okay. Didn’t offer breakfast. Front desk staff was not friendly. Bar staff was excellent and the cook made me something vegetarian. That was great.

Despite not participating in the waterpark activities themselves, the customer was forced to pay this hefty fee simply to supervise their children. This fee, paired with the lack of flexibility in pricing, created a sense of frustration. The customer noted that the facilities, while large, were poorly maintained, with several areas appearing outdated and in need of repairs. Adding to the disappointment, the staff was reported to be unprofessional and indifferent, treating guests with a lack of courtesy and showing little effort in addressing concerns. The entire experience felt disorganized, with long waits and unclear communication, making the visit even more aggravating for families hoping to enjoy a relaxing day.
Aimee (4/5): - If you book your room with a third party like Expedia your waterpark passes are not included in that booking. It cost me $200 more for the waterpark passes for 4 people for one day. Was told check in was at 3 but then we didn’t get our room assignments until after 4. When we did get our room assignment the overall look of the room was good/clean but there was a smell that never left the room. While we were at the arcade part they shut all the lights off on us because they were closing but never once gave us warning they were doing so. The lazy river didn’t have any tubes and there was only a handful of tubes to be able to use the water slides and they were always taken up so my kids never got to ride those. The bathrooms in the waterpark were atrocious toilet paper soaking wet on the floors and overall very dirty. There was a part of my bed frame that was sticking out and I hit my ankles off of it a few times and when I went to the front desk the guy up there asked me if I tried to slide the bed over. I just beat cancer and it is not my job to move the bed on the bed frame to see if that “fixes” the issue. Throughout the check in experience I was not pleased I checking in at 3pm was told to come back at 4 pm for my room and the line was so long i stood in it for another hour before I was able to get my room. Overall I would not recommend this hotel/waterpark to anyone.
Nintia (2/5): - They didnt indicate the water park passes are not included with the room purchase through Third-party companies. I called the day before to check the time of the pool closing and a rep said 10pm. We got there at 7:30pm, and the park closed at 9pm, and the hotel inside pool at 10pm. They charged us $100 - $50pp for 1 1/2 hours, and the wrist bands were only good until 12pm the next day. I would have waited to buy the day passes the next day. Its unfortunate, but worth a lesson to not learn again.
Brittany (10/5): - The only thing that I didn’t like was just how long it took for check-in, but there was a lot of people there so overall, it was a great experience. Oh, the one thing that really bothered me was the lockers in the waterpark
Toni (4/5): - The check in process was so unorganized. It took over and hour to get checked in as there were 2 long lines. In addition, they never disclosed how much the waterpark tickets would be after advising that the tickets were not included with the room. Then the following day our room keys were deactivated before our check out was scheduled for the next day. The elevator was out of order, so it’s not kid friendly especially when you’re traveling with several bags and have to make multiple trips through a crowded lobby. In addition, the wristbands that I paid for was for my entire stay however, I was not advised that I have to go back to the front desk to get new wristbands for each day, so that was so inconvenient. $300 for 3 tickets for only 2 days, on top of the hotel cost is ridiculous for what they had to offer, which was subpar. I will never be returning, worst experience I’ve had since I’ve travelled over 20 years. They need new management and a tutorial on how to better serve the customers.
Hollie (2/5): Sad experience here - Our stay was ridiculously disappointing we feel the hotel could do better with check in it took 90min to complete this which is sad you wasted that much time of ours. We feel its sad you need to ask for coffee to be made in the morning SAD. There was never toilet paper where it matters.

Amanda (8/5): - I am always accompanying my son when it comes to water parks in pools, but I did feel that staffing was slightly lax. Perhaps it was because it was the week before spring break and they needed to make the best with the staff they had which I can completely understand. The lifeguard I did encounter were amazing and everyone at the front desk was also very polite and professional. It’s quite possible it’s something they’re already addressing, but I would say hiring more pool. Staff would be just a safe option to prevent any incidents. As I said, I’m always by my son side so it’s not a concern for me per se but I could see how it could be an issue in the future. Also, the women’s locker room could use some help, especially in the changing area. Overall, it was definitely a very good value and like I said everyone was very kind and accommodating. I think as a mom you just have a certain standard, I would stay there again.
Verified traveler (6/5): Ok, but could have been much better. - Poop in pool area at least 2 times. Staff was short. 2 different bathrooms had no toilet papper. The room could use some repairs and had a computer desk, but no chair. Also Waterpark closed at 6 on Sunday. Pretty lame
Cynthia (2/5): - Upon arrival, the room i booked and paid for was unavailable. The staff was very rude and it was a high stressed situation. The hotel itself was not clean and the bathroom in the room barely flushed. THE BRACELTS FOR THE WATERPARK ARE NOT INCLUDED, which is NOT obvious . They say the arcade and waterpark are open until 9pm but they kick everyone out at 8:30pm by screaming and blowing a whistle. It is overpriced, staff is rude and hotel is gross. I will never be back.
