Guest Reviews
- Jo (10/5): - A warm welcome from Tony who went the extra mile by phoning me to advise rooms were ready. (Much appreciated, Tony!)
Rooms were spotlessly clean and kitchenette well equipped. Lidl and Tesco within a few minutes walking distance.
Philharmonic Hall a 5 minute taxi journey away.
Various bus stops within 3 minute walk of Pembroke Studios.
At the time of booking this was the most reasonably priced accommodation for a Saturday night. We did not expect there to be silence on the streets on a Saturday night in a major city but the late night revellers did not disturb us to any great degree.
Liverpool is a magnificent place with history around every corner. Couple that with warm hearts from hosts and you will never forget your time in this wonderful city.
- Pamela (10/5): excellent accommodation - The accommodation was beyond what I expected for the cost. Sadly I only had one night there but I will definitely stay there again on my next visit and will recommend to my friends.
- Claire (10/5): - This was a very beautiful appartment and we would definitely stay here again. We only stayed for a very short stay so didnt have any time to explore the nearby area.
- Kun (10/5): - It's a great stay
- Jennifer (10/5): Great for solo traveler - This was my 2nd stay at this property. I love it!!! Staff is extremely polite and friendly, rooms are large and filled with everything I could need for my stay. Easy to find, close to transportation, and excellent communication. I would stay here every time I came over, if it was available.
- Lewis (10/5): - Lovely space well equipped kitchen and bathroom and friendly staff. Highly recommend
- Lynne (10/5): - A great stay for a short break in Liverpool. Brilliant communication beforehand and had everything we needed. Nice little touches too with water, biscuits etc. Would definitely stay again.
- Matthew (10/5): Brilliant - Can't recommend enough. Really impressed. Great price, really clean and tidy and has a fully equipped kitchen as well.
- Manimala (8/5): - clean and friendly
- Luisa (10/5): Excellent Experience - An excellent experience, located very close to Liverpool city center, close to three stations, train, metro, and bus. The studio is very well equipped with everything we need, including a kitchen, a comfortable bed, and 5-star cleanliness. This is one of the most important aspects of a stay for me. I recommend it, and if I return to Liverpool, I will definitely stay here again.
- Victoria (10/5): - What a little gem this was! Great value, the studio was very spacious and had everything I could have wanted for my stay (including a fan and complimentary bottles of water in the fridge as well as a fully equpped kitchen, haurdryer, huge TV and comfy bed).
It was withing walking distsnce of Lime Street as well as places I was visiting. I would definitely stay again.
- Botshabi (10/5): Excellent - Great size, actually a lot larger than expected too! I didn’t expect someone to clean my room however it was spotless when we got back and my dishes were done which i felt bad about! To whoever cleaned my room, thank you for the extra comfort for the cot bed! This place exceeded my standards!! Would definitely recommend and book again!
- Sean (8/5): - Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean, but bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke. Surrounding area did not have a lot to offer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good value for the money - Very spacious room, convenient for shopping…
- Nikki (10/5): - Great communication with checking in as I was arriving late, studio was very well equipped, was so grateful it had a floor standing fan as we were having a heatwave.
Was very quiet, I never heard any other guests.
Would definitely stay again.
- pinkspideruk (8/5): Good studio appt with everything needed close to city centre - Room spacious, pretty clean with decent quality furniture. Working shower and all the utensils etc you would need for cooking and meals.
Bed very hard and a little uncomfortable.
Shower hot, worked well, decent pressure.
Towels large and good.
Lifts working well.
Room very warm even using the provided fan.
Hallway smelled very strongly of garlic - it was a little over powering and lingered - not the owners fault but if your sensitive to smells might be a problem.
Very quiet and easy 10 min walk to lime street and located very close to the main hospital again about 10mins walk. People about day and night. Didn't feel uncomfortable wandering about as 2 females on our own.
Only interacted with 2 staff members - check in and leaving - both friendly and helpful.
Room had tea, coffee, hot choc, milk, sugar, biscuits and basic toiletries but located like 3mins from Tesco express and lidl/aldi. Also uncluded washing up liquid and tea towel which was a nice touch.
Would stay here again when visiting the area.
- Sara Sadia (10/5): Pristine hotel room with kitchen! - I booked a room for two days for my parents. It was a clean and well-equipped room with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The price was a bit higher than I expected, but the location is good.
- A M (8/5): Beware of the noise - request room at the back - Reception very friendly and welcoming (though not manned 24 hours) and initially allocated a large room at the front of the building. Beds are not the best but clean and the other facilities are good. It was a hot weekend and that wasn't ideal though a fan was provided so that was good. However in the evening when we returned to the room it was impossible to escape the busy road noise outside, even with window closed. It went on all night! No-one on reception in the evening so not really any sleep. Next morning we mentioned it and were luckily moved to a smaller but much quieter room at the back of the hotel (view over cathedrals) and slept much better the next night. Staff very helpful to arrange this for us which was appreciated.
- Calum (4/5): Student rooms - We stayed on some of the warmest days of the year. No air-con, curtains too small.
Had a fold down bed, it was too small and too low for us (50's)
Shower good
Location just ok
- Natalie (8/5): - Great little studio apartment with a well equipped kitchenette. Good location near to shops and Lime Street station. Check in quick and easy, staff very freindly and helpful would stay here again. Stayed on a very hot day so was warm but a fan was provided in room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Well equipped, but consider comfort too... - Great communications, and well-equipped room in terms of facilities, but we ended up checking out early. Granted, it was during a time of very warm weather, but the room was absolutely unbearable for sleeping - apart from the very thin-mattressed camp-bed (shown in pics as a pull-down from the wall, so not hidden in terms of detail) that was uncomfortable, the room had absolutely no form of air flow.
This meant that the room remained at a temperature that meant sleep was an impossibility. Open the windows, and you get plenty of traffic noise (it's a city - it happens), but even that didn't allow any air in.
It's great to have a room with all that you may need for a stay (seating, TV, kitchenette, space, nice shower), but if you can't sleep at all, what's the point? Perhaps having a simple fan supplied could have helped, but when reception is closed from 17:00, who do you ask for assistance, without phoning an emergency mobile contact? A pity - if you want comfort and sleep, it's not the place to stay. All other facilities are very good, but that doesn't help much!
- Anthony (10/5): - Ideal base for site seeing evt.
- Pamela (10/5): - Really enjoyed it .spacious, very clean and quiet . Booked again would definitely recommend
- Tracy_Lever77 (10/5): Hidden gem - Impromptu night in Liverpool as we had tickets for a gig so thought we’d make the most of it. This little place had everything we could’ve needed and more. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
- Ryan (10/5): - Both enjoyed our stay were left alone and no issues at all
- Mehera (10/5): - It was very nice experince and I hope I would come back again in near future.
- Gillian (8/5): - Really nice staff, great convenient apartment (with every furnishing you could wish for!). Nice size and clean.
I only put 4 stars because someone staying in another room kept waking me up going in and out of their room with the door slamming and coughing. There was also a tear in the floor lino sticking up that I stubbed my toe on twice.
I've stayed before and really liked it; would stay again.
- Philip (10/5): - Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Great self contained room.
- Colin (10/5): Comfortable and well equipped - Comfortable, clean and well equipped. Great staff and welcoming atmosphere My room had a wonderful view of the Cathedral.
- Melissa (10/5): - The apartment was clean, tidy, and modern, with all the amenities we needed. The staff were really friendly and gave great recommendations. It was a great central location, the only downside being the fact that it sits on a main road - take earplugs!
- Martina (10/5): - Our 3 night stay in june was fantastic. Damien on reception was so helpful to us and answered any questions we had. The studio was perfect for us so clean changed our towels every day. Only a few minutes walk from city center. Lidl is a 2 minute walk away also tesco express. Bed was so comfortable and very peaceful location at night. Thanks so much we will definitely be back . Tina &rob from dublin
- Duncan (10/5): Great place for a visit to Liverpool - Great location and duty manager was brilliant.
- Debra (10/5): - The studio apartment was fabulous, the kitchen was well equipped with hot plates, full oven and microwave. The walk to the station not far and local bus stops out the front. Plenty of stores to buy supplies for self catering. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. Would book again.
- Simon (2/5): - Chose this over nearby chain hotel, mistake.
Lift didn’t work, room on 5th floor.
Got to room, stank of weed
100% avoid
- Cameron (10/5): - I don’t normally wrote reviews but this was a wee gem and I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend!!
- Neil (10/5): - A great facility close to the city centre. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. I was actually surprised that the room was serviced each day; we weren't expecting that.
The local manager was excellent in communicating and facilitating our stay.
The bed is a little on the hard side, but a minor niggle. Overall a great place to stay to explore a fabulous city
- Stephen (10/5): - 5/5 would stay here again.
- Elinor (10/5): - Spotless room with everything you could need for a short stay. Places to eat nearby and a short walk to the city centre. Friendly staff as well, would definitely stay again!
- Mrs Elizabeth (10/5): - Great stay lovely room with kitchen
- Rimantas (8/5): - You can find almost everything, what you need for nice stay, except air conditioner...
- Mark (10/5): Excellent - Great stay again - i have stayed here multiple times and will definitely be booking again. Everyone is friendly, the whole place is spotlessly clean and has all tge facilities to ve self sufficient with well stocked kitchen, wifi even ironing board and fan if needed
- PALOMA INMACULADA (8/5): - It was a great place to stay. The only thing was that the lift was out of order but everything else was good
- Christopher (10/5): 2 night stay - Me and my partner stayed at the Pembroke Studios for a 2 night stay in Liverpool as we was going to watch a show on the Saturday night the hotel staff was brilliant they helped me carry my bags upto the 4th floor gave me instructions how to get to places in Liverpool it’s only 0.4 miles to the centre location was good the room was very clean and tidy would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.
- Duke (10/5): - As a solo traveler, this hotel served the purposes. Very fair price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - As a solo traveler, this hotel served the purposes. Very fair price.
- Megan (10/5): - An amazing Hotel in the centre of Liverpool! Great communication with the staff prior to our arrival. The room was brilliant with all the facilities you need. Would highly recommend. We will definitely book again!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great studio apartment in a great location woth everything you need for your stay. I will book again when i am back in Liverpool
- Kevin (10/5): Fantastic value for money - Fantastic value for money , spotlessly clean and well located . Damean on the front desk couldn’t do enough for us .
- Mike and Ina (10/5): - Thank you, nice and comfortable apartment.
- Glen (8/5): Will stay here again. - Communition was above and beyond. Apartments located in a really quiet area. Just a 10 min stroll to the city centre. Albert Dock and Hot Water Comedy Club etc. no more than 20 min walk from the apartments. Damian who greeted us at reception is an absolute star - really helpful and friendly. The room had everything we needed, including cooking equipment.
- Gillian (10/5): - Lovely staff, spacious room, great facilities to prep/store food. Convenient location for that part of town (albeit not the most attractive area). Thanks
- Jean (10/5): - It’s the 3rd time I have stayed here . Ideal location takes about 15 minutes to walk to Liverpool one . The apartment was nice and clean . The bed is comfortable. Hairdryer iron etc and self catering facilities to use . I will definitely return good value for money . The staff are great too 🙂
- Lone End (8/5): Pretty good - Mostly good for the price. However, the lift didn’t work whilst we were there, and we were on the top floor, so it was a pain. Also the first night there were people shouting and arguing at 5am in one of the rooms next to us so didn’t get the best nights sleep. Aside from that, for the price, it had everything you could need.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great value for money - Clean, spacious, well equipped, easy check in
Being informed about the broken lift would have been handy ahead of time
- David (10/5): - Everything in the room, just like home.
- Carol (10/5): Amazing pembroke studios - The stay at pembroke was brilliant frm check in to check out clean, comfortable, warm n cozy, tea coffee hot choc n bottled water all supplied in the price which was good value,
- David (10/5): - Beautiful spotless and comfortable studio.
Only minor issue during my stay was that the lift wasn't working but helps to get my steps in.
I would happily stay again.
- Tim (10/5): - Excellent experience, friendly, clean and convenient. Highly recommended
- Zoe (8/5): - Great to have a studio rather than hotel room. Very clean and nicely decorated. Would have liked bedside table
- Eugenia (10/5): - Excellent in every way with very helpful staff. Exotic cafe round the corner with wholesome menue
- Verified traveler (8/5): Communal areas smelly - Room was every good as ever but the stairway and lift area is getting smelly
- Jon (10/5): Great place to stay! - Excellent value. A studio flat complete with full kitchen facilities and bathroom for less than the price of a budget hotel. Very comfortable. Well positioned being within 5 minutes walk of the city centre and university. I would definitely stay there again.
- Paul (10/5): Immaculate - Damien was Very welcoming and friendly
Apartment was immaculate highly recommend booking & staying at the property
- MATTHEW (10/5): - Couldn’t fault this place - modern student flat basically, with small kitchen, en-suite, sofa, desk and decent sized TV. About 15 mins walk into centre.
- Natalie (10/5): Perfect stay - Our stay was perfect from start to finish. Really good communication via email and receptionist was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had everything we needed and more.

- Neal (10/5): - Great location, easy walking distance to the 02 Acadamy. Would definitely stay again
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great apartment for a weekend away - Stayed here for 3 nights and everything was exactly as like the photos. The apartment was spacious for the 2 of us and had everything you could need. It was a 20 minute walk to the city centre and 10 minutes from the train station. Check in time was 3pm however, I received an email in the morning to let me know our room was ready which was very helpful and convenient. Would recommend to stay here
- Arjan (10/5): - Great place to stay and get around the city. Very convenient location for train station. Staff very friendly, efficient, knowledgeably and accommodating. Thank you
- A2249GFjacquelinem (4/5): Poor service/management - This is a good place to spend a few days in case you want to explore Liverpool, but if you are planning to live here for one or more years, there are some things you need to know: the bed is not very comfortable, the studio walls are too thin, there are hot and cold water problems, and water filtration between flats from the showers. But the worst thing about living here are definitely the staff members. They are nosy and gossipers. Some of the female staff members can even display some behaviors of harassment. The manager called Damien is very immature and rude; he is not very accountable for his management mistakes, he will always prefer to blame tenants for everything. Don't live here, trust me.
- Nicolas (10/5): - Great place to stay, 5 minute walk to lime street station. Room very clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
- Linda (10/5): Will always be back - This is my favourite place to stay when I visit my daughter at uni.. not only is it close to her but also to close to all amenities
- Gerald (10/5): - This has everything going for it. It's a quiet place in a noisy town, but only a few minutes walk away from Lime Street.
Room has most of what you would need for a short stay - fridge, oven, hob, microwave.
Wi-fi worked fine and communication was excellent - I received an email when I was on the train telling me my room was available to check in there and then. Much appreciated.
- Michael (10/5): Pembroke Suites - Exactly as advertised, all amenities in room of a high standard, everything worked perfectly. Only downside bed very low but comfortable. Excellent front desk staff, more of a accommodation for students and empty rooms used for short stay accommodation but it works.
- Mark (10/5): - Great stay in a great spot only 10 mins walk to city centre.
- Helen (10/5): - We had a great stay here. Brilliant location for attending a gig at the University but equally easy to walk into liverpool for shopping and sightseeing. Nice to have a small kitchen instead of just a hotel room. Would definitely stay again.
- val (10/5): Excellent stay - This property was perfect, great location only 10mins to the shops 20mins to the docks. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the apartment was spotless and had everything you would need, including tea and coffee. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Liverpool. I was a lady on my own bit felt perfectly safe.

Highly recommended.
- Sarah (10/5): - Wonderful place with a good price - has everything you need and more. Will definitely stay again next time I'm there!
- Xiaoyi (8/5): All good but little annoy - Stuff is super friendly. Room is tidy and cosy. The thing i do not like is the smell of the bed douvet cover. I can smell the washing powder, other tenants did not respect the guest and smashing doors at 1am in the morning
- keiths492 (10/5): Excellent studio apartment. - Fabulous apartment.Everything that you'd need in a self contained studio.Spotlessly clean throughout.Facilities:Oven, hob, , toaster, microwave, Crockery and cutlery, pots & pans, fridge freezer, dishes, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, fan, sofa, t.v, even a cookery book!.Well run.Quiet at night.good security.Highly reccomended.1o minutes from Lime Street station.

- Ian (10/5): Always good - Top Reception Team.
- David (10/5): Felt more comfortable than usual hotel stay. - Usually stay in hotels in Liverpool but this was very close to the Empire theatre I was going to so thought I'd try it.
