Tutto ok!
- Colin (10/5): - Alain made us extremely welcome at his lovely old house just a short drive from Giverny and Monet‘s fabulous garden. A quiet side road, pretty house, and all we could wish for for a two-night stay.

- James (10/5): - Authentic French experience with an affable helpful owner. A pleasant change.
- John (10/5): - The host was very helpful and spoke excellent English. He gave useful tips on visiting Monet's Garden. Also his knowledge of local restaurants proved useful.
- Inge (10/5): - Dejligt autentisk lille sted. 10 min i bil fra Monets have i Giverny.

- Goutham (10/5): - It was a pleasure staying in this property. The property has a mention in one of the paintings of the legendary artist Claude Monet. The property host Mr Allain is extremely helpful to us and he provided all that is needed for a warm and cozy stay. We miss the place so much even after we come out
- Emer (10/5): - Lovely, comfortable, friendly, helpful.
- Trudy (10/5): - Lovely home, quiet location, great breakfast!
- David (8/5): Very good - Very quant house, lovely host. Location is limited, some restaurants half hour walk away
Danke nichmals lieber Alain
- peter (8/5): - Thank you for your kind hospitality and making sure i got to the claude monet museum today.
I loved the breakfast jams too.
- Jens M. (10/5): - Bedste B&B oplevelse i Frankrig!
- Jennifer (6/5): - The breakfast at Le Havre de Bennecourt was one of the best breakfasts we had the entire time we were in France. The coffee, French press, was definitely the best coffee we had the whole time, three weeks. Alain was very congenial, kind and very informative about the surrounding area, especially the history regarding the Monet house and gardens.
- GEORGINE (10/5): - An absolutely delightful place to stay. Our host was very welcoming and considerate of all our needs, and full of interesting facts and stories of the region. The breakfast was delicious, a perfect French petit déjeuner! I would love to stay here again!
- Andrea (10/5): A charming, artistic and unique experience. - We truly loved this property and the super warm welcome from the host who was interested in our trip and gave practical and useful advice. Booking.com website does not do it justice as it lacks the warmth that the reality gives. We appreciated the spacious bedroom with large en-suite bathroom, the varied breakfast, presented on the owner’s own pottery/ tableware. It is a quiet little Seine side village, perfect for a trip to Monet’s garden at Giverny, and we would definitely return and recommend here to everyone. Nothing… but a car is essential. Parking can be private or a few seconds away.
- Marion (10/5): - A verry nice place to stay and the host is a verry friendly and helpfull person.
- Daniela (10/5): - This property is apparently in a painting by Mpnet, whose garden we were visiting during our stay, in the background of the painting "On the Banks of the Seine"
The scenery has changed much since then, but has not lost its charm.
The host is most gracious and jovial; full of stories and good advice about places to visit and useful tips about sights to visit.
The parking is in the narrow inner courtyard ( a van will have trouble) and the stairs up to the room are steep (so people with mobility issues will have a hard time).
Breakfast was the typical french breakfast which seems to be served throughout: croissants and baguette, jam, butter, yogurt, coffee and fresh orange juice.
We had a very nice short stay with Alain
- Stephen (10/5): - A wonderful experience. Quiet & restful location, just a few steps from the banks of the Seine. Historic property, with a Monet connection. Our Asian themed room was delightful and our bed very comfortable. Our genial host Alain, did everything possible to ensure that we had a memorable stay. Breakfast was included in the price, with fresh bread and pastries from the local boulangerie . And on 2 occasions we enjoyed a tasty three course dinner with Alain & his charming family, for a very reasonable additional outlay. A boulangerie and a bar-cafe are within a 5 minute walk from the property, and a variety of shops & restaurants are available in nearby Bonnieres-sur-Seine (about 20 minutes on foot). Alain recommended the Mandarin Restaurant in Bonnieres, which was excellent. This accommodation is the ideal place for a relaxing stay if you plan to visit Monet's House & Garden in nearby Giverny or historic Vernon. Our grateful thanks to Alain & his family, We would have given you 6 stars if we could!
Steve & Alida.
- Christine (10/5): - A very relaxing stay. Welcoming host who was able to give advice on places to visit and eat. Would highly recommend.
- HPE (10/5): Een genoegen. Absolute aanrader.
- Neil (10/5): A great place to stay - A very charming host in an historic property which was a great base for the river and Giverny. Great value and some free French history thrown in. It is very much a bed and breakfast with a simple communal area.
- SJ (10/5): Absolute highlight of our road trip - We absolutely loved this place. We were lucky enough to have the room with the best view and most history. Alain was a fascinating, informative host. Great breakfast with lovely fresh pastries
Una dintre cele doua camere are vedere la Sena.
- Kees (10/5): - Pleasant B&B with very friendly owner. very nice breakfast
- Carl (10/5): - The property is very quaint. We were impressed with the historical stories that our host , Alain, told us. His English is good and he was very warm and receptive to our needs. We got upgraded to a charming clean room and treated to a lovely breakfast that was beautifully laid out. You can tell Alain has pride of ownership and loves hosting. We definitely would recommend this place to our family and friends. Many thanks to Alain!
- Gunnar (10/5): Dejligt sted.
- Linda (10/5): Definitely recommended - Alain is a wonderful host and staying in his home was one of the highlights of our trip. It was so interesting discussing the history of his lovely home, amongst other topics. The room was comfortable with a view of the Loire, and breakfast more than sufficient. We were able to park our car securely. Such a pleasant experience compared with the anonymity of hotels.
- Vladimir (10/5): - This is a lovely bed-and-breakfast place. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we stayed an extra night. The host, Alain, is super nice, friendly, helpful, and also a great person to talk to. He also gave us several great suggestions about places to visit, all spot on.
The breakfast is quite elegant, with freshly baked baguettes, croissants, and other beads from the local bakery.
We definitely plan to come back there!
- Ian (10/5): Great stopover near Giverny. - Really enjoyed our one night stay here. Alain was friendly and welcoming and very helpful regarding local information. House is interesting, nice to stay somewhere with character rather than a bland hotel chain. Nice breakfast before our drive home. Great place to stay if visiting Giverny. Many thanks!
- Michael (10/5): Tranquility - I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it for those who like the non generic hotel chain alternatives. Alain was a great host and his home has a historical twist to it which I found very interesting. Very peaceful rest after a long drive. Breakfast was traditional and delicious.
- Eeva (10/5): - Charming, well equipped lodging, private parkinggreat rural area, attentive host, simple but tasty breakfast with good coffee.
- Laura (10/5): - I liked our Japanese styled room and ensuite overlooking a shady courtyard in which we could put our car off road. Quiet and peaceful setting next to the Seine. Our hosts made our stay very comfortable with a lovely continental breakfast using their handmade crockery. We would go again.
- Kristina (10/5): - Very much appreciated the advice and wisdom of our host. Loved our stay here. The breakfast was excellent.
- Paul (8/5): Quiet village near river - Host was friendly and spoke English. Good breakfast. Quiet location and off street parking was available at the property.
- Jean (10/5): We will return! - We spent two nights at this property in order to visit Giverny. Alain was an excellent host, providing us with detailed references to Monet and his connections to Bennecourt, and upon request further information about places to visit on our return to Le Havre.
The room was comfortable and we slept well. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast thoughtfully served on tasteful china, and in all our stay was delightful.
Now thinking of a reason to return! Thank you Alain.
- Laura (10/5): - Host was very friendly and the house has a interesting connection to Monet that I will let be a surprise. There isn’t public transport to Bennecourt so you will need a car or you will be walking a very long way or paying for a taxi. The room was clean and comfortable and a nice little breakfast can be requested.
- Galina (10/5): - The property is very charming and has a special connection with Monet. Also the breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. The host is amazing. He gave us many great suggestions about where to eat, places to visit and how to make our visit to Giverny optimal. A memorable experience overall!
- Dolph (10/5): - This property is as shown in the pictures and as described. Outstanding host in a great location just a few minutes drive from Giverny and Vernon. I've already recommended it to friends who are considering a trip to Giverny.
- Brian (10/5): - We don't do B&Bs. Glad we made an exception. The owner Alain was most gracious, accommodating and charming. Also, he has an historical anecdote that I will not spoil here. Wish we could have stayed longer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful host, speaks very good English and was more than patient and encouraging with my desire to speak french. Lovely breakfast, comfortable room and bed, spacious bathroom. Private parking is a plus. Wifi was very good. And oh so convenient to Giverny, with excellent driving directions from the host. Also, walking distance to a boulangerie that serves sandiches. And, a good recommendation for restaurant at the town just across the river Seine.
- Raymond (10/5): - Quaint and very close to Giverny. The nearby bakery is excellent with delicious sandwiches and pastries that we brought back to the b&b to enjoy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was just a super little B&B. Wonderful setting and proprietor. Perfect for our first night in France.
- Linda (10/5): Amazing Place - Amazing place. Host is really friendly, very informative of the area and speaks very good English. If you want a nice place that’s peaceful and tranquil with near by restaurants this is the place to stay if visiting Monet’s gardens⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Jenefer (10/5): - Outstanding host whom goes above and beyond. Despite some hot water issues beyond his control, our host made sure we were comfortable and delivered hot water to our room! Excellent breakfast and delightful stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Alain, the owner of this lovely property greeted us. He provided exceptional information about the towns of Bettencourt and Giverny. We had a lovely breakfast and the accommodations were clean and pleasant. The living room environment and the outside patio area are very inviting. We had an excellent time. I would recommend this property to any couple or adults traveling to this area.
- Anna-Lynn (10/5): Charming character chambre d'hote - Our host was very engaging, interesting and full of knowledge about the area. He was personable and very friendly and warm. Alain is an artisan potter who is enthusiastic to share his art form. It would be a great experiential week-end for someone who would like to learn pottery.
A character house built in 1789, decorated in eclectic style, is comfortable and charming. Bathrooms are nicely up-dated to modern standards.
We were served a delicious traditional French breakfast in elegant style with the benefit of a crackling fireplace in the dining room. Recommended a superb restaurant for our evening meal.
- Dominic (10/5): Lovely stay - Beautiful place to stay with so much character. Alain the owner could not be more helpful, thanks again!!
- LINDA (10/5): Stay here! - A gorgeous little gem of a hotel run by a lovely family. The room was clean, comfortable and quirky with a view over the river. Parking was free and in a secure courtyard. We shared a home cooked 3 course dinner with the family who were great hosts and great company at the same time. My partner is a picky eater and he ate every bite. The owner told us the story of the house and it's links to Monet and the Impressionists. He also offered advice on tickets for local attractions and was happy to recommend local restaurants if we had chosen not to eat dinner in the hotel. Although there were guests in the room next door we couldn't hear a thing and the building was peaceful and quiet. We had a great sleep and a leisurely breakfast. The entire stay felt like we were visiting the home of friends. I hope we manage to return here one day.
- Frank (10/5): Visit to Giverny - We spent 2 nights at the Le Havre de Bennecourt because we wanted to spend a day at Monet's house and garden in Giverny. The location was very convenient as it was an 8 minute drive to Giverny. The Bennecourt was unexpectedly charming. It is a house built in the late 1700's just after the French Revoultion. Our room had a view of the Seine River. Our host, Allan, greeted us on arrival, carried our luggage up stairs, advised us on a local restaurant that was excellent, served us a good French breakfast, and parked our car (I'm not used to a manual transmission) in his courtyard. He also showed us a reproduction of a Monet painting the had the B&B in the background (the original is in Chicago). Our room was clean, had a comfortable bed, and a nice shower.
We will return when our travels bring us back to the area.
