Pour finir la gérante de l'établissement est d'une gentillesse immense et nous saluons son travail et sa sympathie vis-à-vis des clients. Cela n'a rien avoir avec l'établissement en lui-même. Mais nous avons trouvé les abords de l'établissement notamment Aberdeen assez flippant.

It's small, but that's the beauty of this motel. I will stay here again if needed. I can't say enough good things about our stay and the couple who runs the place. - David (8/5): Clean comfortable room for a very good price. I'd stay here again. - The two folks who own/run the place are VERY friendly and solicitous. They made me feel welcome even though I probably looked like a homeless person after a full day on a motorcycle. This is very basic accommodation, nothing fancy but very suitable and an excellent value. (Exactly what I was looking for.) If you're looking for high-end fancy features this is not your place; if you want a clean reasonably well-appointed and maintained place to sleep it's excellent. The bed was very comfortable, I slept well. There's a refrigerator in the room, as well as heating/AC. It's showing its age a bit, but overall it's well appointed. I'd stay here again. About half the rooms are right next to the roadway, so a little noisy. I noticed it but it wasn't loud enough to bother me. It looks a little run down, e.g., some of the caulking in the bathrooms could stand to be replaced. That said, it was a LONG way from being gross. Other folks may have higher maintenance standards than me; YMMV.

- Reza (10/5): Best motel I’ve stayed at in Washington! - It was an adorable little motel. The lady at the front desk was super nice & extremely attentive if we needed anything. It was super quiet & very comfortable to stay there. I’d definitely stay there again the next time I come to visit. It was definitely worth it. I have zero complaints.

I will 100% be booking another room for our next trip out west. If your looking for a very clean and comfy room at a very fair price, look no further. Its pretty tough to find something i did not like about the shiny motel. Maybe the coffee maker? It was a bit small. Besides that the room was a nice relax and wind down after 14 hours on the road. They knew i wasn't going to be getting there tell around 10pm and made sure that a light was on in the room and heat was up so it would be comfortable when i walked in after a long drive. The owner's are absolutely amazing and sweet people.

Good value. Helpful host. The owners are in the process of refurbishing the rooms. We had one of the unfurnished rooms, but I am sure they will be improved soon. Even so, it wasn’t a big issue—mainly just a tired bathroom, but it was clean with lots of hot water.

The smoking area patio is very nice and everything is decorated very well. Beds are comfortable. Room is small so traveling with a group isn’t ideal but it’s still doable just a bit tight.

- O9333QXannetter (8/5): Ok motel - Was a bit leary when we first drove up but the room was clean. The bed took up most of the room but we weren't in the room much anyway. Could use some updating. The housekeeper couldn't have been nicer. She was very caring and conscientious. We only stayed one night so it was fine.
- Dennis (10/5): - How many motels know you by name? The couple who own and operate the motel are amazingly warm and hospitable. By the second day, they greeted us by name. My wife got a hug when we left. They were so eager to assist us we almost felt guilty to ask anything. They were excellent guides to things to see, places to eat, etc. The motel is older, maybe 50's? The rooms are smallish, The owners are clearly putting money into rehabbing it bit by bit. But the place was spotless, the mattress top quality, and all the amenities were there - fridge, microwave, soaps/shampoo, table and chairs, wifi. It's not a large place, so I'm guessing if you want to stay there, make your reservation early. For us, this was such a pleasant stay that it is hard to imagine staying anywhere else.

- SueGSTC (8/5): Quintessential Roadside Motel with Lovely Hosts - The Shiny Motel is a quintessential roadside motel with the most lovely hosts. The rooms have been updated as best as possible. The only improvement that I would suggest is having better pillows, but otherwise it was perfect for a one-night stay between the Oregon coast and Seattle.

- Susan (8/5): Quintessential Americana Motel with Lovely Hosts - The Shiny Motel is a quintessential motel from a by-gone era. The owners are a lovely couple that are super friendly and want to make your stay especially enjoyable. Each room has been updated as best as can be expected. Bright colored walls, comfortable bed, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. The bathroom was spacious enough and the towels were great! There is a swamp cooler available if needed. There is no air conditioning. You do need to drive to restaurants as there is none close by. The pillows could be better.

Room was clean and comfortable - we were near the road so there was some traffic noise but it wasn’t really an issue. Hoaquim itself has clearly seen better days but we found a good brewhouse for dinner and a cafe for breakfast which was good.

- Sheryl (10/5): Adorable lil getaway - The reviews for this place were all really good, so we thought we would give it a try. So glad we did!! A cute and humble lil family owned type of motel. Super comfy bed…..I like my bed on the firm side and this was perfect. The room was clean, and bright and the colors were inviting. In the room, besides the bed and a small table….there was also two nightstands, a small fridge, a microwave, a small 5 cup coffee pot and a portable AC unit, which we didn’t need. There was a wall mounted flat screen TV over the table. The bathroom wasn’t huge, it’s modest but it was bright and clean, with a powerful fan and the shower was perfect. Even tho it’s an older place,’I really liked the intimate feel of the place and how welcoming and accommodating the owners are. I plan on staying there again in the not too distant future.
