- Dániel (10/5): The Best Hiking in SA :) - We chose the tent camping inside the Resort and we loved the big tent it was fully equipped. The Resort is on the edge of the Canyon and you can sleep on the top of it. The view is mind-blowing and you can start your hiking trails from inside the resort. This was our best hiking experience in SA so far. The Kadisi Restaurant prepares delicious food for a reasonable price, I can recommend it. :)

- Christophe (8/5): - Le lieu et ses randonnées au départ du complexe. Le restaurant de bonne qualité Le complexe est grand et très bien entretenu Les tentes n'ont pas d'accessoires pour faire la cuisine, mais on un frigo et de quoi préparer du thé et du café.

Le complexe est immense, avec des jeux pour enfants et une piscine. Les logements sont vraiment très vieillots et très sombres. Les repas au restaurant ne sont pas extraordinaires. Le personnel n’est ni très sympathique ni très réactif. De plus, la connexion Wi-Fi ne fonctionnait pas. Lorsque nous l’avons signalé au personnel, on nous a répondu que le Wi-Fi était coupé.

- Horneber (2/5): Neuer 'forever' - Das einzige wovon dieses 'Resort' profitiert ist die Lage. Die Einrichtung ist alt, die Unterkunft ist muffig - es kostet Überwindung sich ins Bett zu legen. Obwohl viele Häuser leer waren, wurde uns eines zugewiesen, bei dem das benachbarte 'Doppelhaus' belegt war. Es ist hellhörig - man hört die Klimaanlage der Nachbarn. Die Vorhänge sind fixiert und lassen sich nicht bewegen. Wir waren froh, dass wir nur für die Übernachtung da waren...wobei 107 Euro für eine Nacht in dieser Unterkunft eine Frechheit sind. Frühstück kann man im Restaurant einnehmen- das hat einen tollen Blick, wobei die Qualität des Essen auch eher 'naja' ist.. Keine Empfehlung für diese Unterkunft!

- Gisela (8/5): Schöne lage am Canyon - Lage direkt am Canyon, Restaurant in der Anlage Die Wanderwege waren leider nicht ausreichend beschrieben! Ein Wanderweg stellte sich am Ende eher als Kletterpfad heraus. Das preisleostungs Verhältnis ist für Südafrika eher teuer.

- André (1/5): Terrible accommodation, chalets smell like mold, had to find something else for the night - Great location The chalets were extremely old, smelled like mold and weren’t aired in a very longtime. Both myself and my wife had allergies in the room and had to leave the accommodation and find something else as we couldn’t stay the night. We communicated with the property and them being aware of the mold, they offered another chalet but it was still bad.

- Susanne Wunderlich (7/5): Nice location, but accomodation was not satisfying - The location was good, close to the viewpoints of the Blyde River Canyon We booked at booking.com a "Deluxe"-Chalet, but the furniture and equipment was old, the stores grey and nothing deluxe in the room. The normal chalets were actually light and renovated, had new AC and in a much better condition. At the reception us was given a wrong time about the shops opening hours, so that we end up without dinner.

I didn't like that we couldn't open windows because of baboons which made the rooms stuffy. The other thing I didn't like was the fact that the bathroom was mouldy, reported at the reception but nothing was done . A little scrubbing could have gone a long way.

I had holidays here over 20 years ago and wanted to share this special place with my children. The location is still so special. But nothing has changed in the time - tired and dark buildings but functional. Pool is lovely. Restaurant milkshakes good. Staff super friendly and helpful. Where do I start? Basic is fine with us but we could not open the windows at all because of baboons and being outside for a braai was a challenge too as you were waiting for them to arrive any moment. Then there was no electricity and no back up generator for the resort so we had no electricity for a day and a half. We sat with candles and a torch inside with the windows closed at night. The putt putt and trampolines haven’t been updated since I was a kid and they were pretty tired looking then.

Stromausfall von 21:00 Uhr bis zur morgendlichen Abreise.

The cottages are clean but very dated. We had a power outage from early evening and was still not on when we left the next morning. Staff in the restaurant were very noisy. Mais finalement nous avons été 2 personnes seulement une nuit et on nous a offert un chalet à la place. Tout semble avoir été conçu au début des années 2000. Bien que propre et confortable, cela commence à être vieillot.

- philippe (8/5): - Maisons idéalement situées pour être au plus près des 3 Rondavels. Très beau paysage et belle vue. L'intérieur des maisons est confortable mais un peu vieillot. Attention ! Les babouins sont extrêmement intelligents. Une minuscule ouverture ds la fenêtre des toilettes leur a permis de rentrer malgré la fenêtre bloquée. Et là, c'est comme un cambriolage. Heureusement, le personnel a réagi immédiatement et a nettoyé tous les dégâts. Par contre, si vous faites leur trail et que vous n'êtes pas entraînés, ne vous lancez surtout pas sur la route verte : le lorrie trail. C'est extrêmement difficile avec montée ds une grande cascade, sur des pierres glissantes, 3 traversées de rivière, tout grimpe très dur. Dommage que l'accueil ne précise pas la difficulté des routes à l'avance. Cette portion ne peut en aucun cas être faite avec des enfants. Nous en avons vraiment bavé (3h00 et non pas 2h00)

Die Inneneinrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber erfüllt ihren Zweck. Es gibt auch eine Terasse mit Gartenmöbeln und einen Parkplatz für das Auto sowie einen riesigen Pool in der Nähe der Rezeption. Alles in allem waren wir recht zufrieden. Allerdings gibt es auch wirklich keine alternative Wohnmöglichkeit am Canyon... Nur eines der beiden Schlafzimmer hatte eine (alte) Klimaanlage, das andere nur einen Deckenventilator.
