Hele vriendelijke mensen, alles werd geregeld voor je en ze stonden altijd klaar om te helpen. Twee keer ook daar avond gegeten, allebei de keren heerlijk en we kregen iedere keer een ander dessert 'on the house '. Tafels werden zelfs tussen gerechten door schoongeveegd, hier kan een sterrenrestaurant nog van leren! Het ontbijt was ook goed. Het hotel heeft fietsen voor ons geregeld om te huren en deze in Hotel laten afleveren. Toen we door een stortregenbui die bleef aanhouden niet terug naar hotel konden fietsen, regelden ze dat de fietsen op locatie werden opgehaald, zodat wij tuktuk konden nemen. Veel diersoorten te zien op het terrein. Kortom, een must stay in Polonnaruwa! niks
• The Simpsons (10/5): Excellent place to stay. The rooms are nicer in real life, than what the photos show. - We loved our stay here. The staff and manager were super friendly and we experienced exceptional customer service. The wild life around the place were entertaining to watch from your bedrooms. Pool a great place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Food was delicious, especially the Sri Lankan breakfast. Nothing, but if ever there is a chance to have screen doors to balconies, we would have loved to sleep with doors open and hear the animals. This of course may not be possible though.

I loved that we looked out at trees from both our front and back decks and could watch the monkeys and squirrels. I also loved the pool! But the location was only just one highlight. Everything exceeded expectations. I would give wild escape a 13 out of 10. The meals were amazing- with Michelin starred service. I had an Ayurvedic massage that Kumara also arranged which was exceptional. The value of this special place far exceeds the cost. Wildescape is an absolute highlight for us! I can’t think of anything.

The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The location is excellent, conveniently close to Polonnaruwa Ancient City, making it perfect for sightseeing while still offering a calm and serene atmosphere. The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained, set in a beautiful natural surroundings ideal for relaxation. The food was delicious with a good variety of both local and international options, making the dining experience enjoyable. It is run like a high-end hotel (so many small examples of attention to detail) which is exceptional as it is great value for money. The host helped us arrange bikes and made special efforts as we are recently engaged. I wouldn’t expect much as it was such good value however there were flowers beautifully set out on the bed. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was also Sri Lankan New Year and there were additional snacks and treats complementary for our stay. The rooms were lovely and clean, the pool was great, food was delicious and the location is set in peaceful nature. We were so impressed!

• Mari-Ell (9/5): Luxurious feel in the jungle - Beautiful hotel with excellent service. The staff is welcoming, friendly, attentive, courteous, speaks excellent English. The room is very clean, bed is comfortable, kettle, hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel are provided. Very clean beautiful pool with a few sun loungers. Pool towels are provided. Located in a lush jungle, there are even a fish pond and frog pond where the lovely staff allowed us to feed fruit to the fish! The breakfast was amazing - buffet when there are many guests and a la carte if less guests. There are both western and Sri Lankan options. Many vegetarian options. Everything is delicious and clean. The dinner is also fairly priced, with generous portions and fabulous tastes. Cocktails were just 1200 LKR! A sun shade by the pool would enhance the experience. Tap water (shower) can smell a bit mouldy. Entrance to the ancient city is a bit far to go by walking.

• Joerg (10/5): Die schönste Erfahrung in Sri Lanka - Ein wunderbarer Ort und eine unvergessliche Erfahrung. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Der Manager ist professionell, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das ganze Team tut alles, damit die Gäste sich wie zu Hause fühlen. Die Zimmer sind extrem sauber und das Restaurant fantastisch. Alles wird frisch zubereitet und schmeckt köstlich. Die Anlage ist sehr ruhig gelegen und man kann dort eine unglaubliche Flora und Fauna beobachten. Besser geht es einfach nicht. Für uns war es die schönste Erfahrung in Sri Lanka ❤️❤️❤️ Alles war einfach perfekt 👍

Het zwembad was zeer verfrissend en fijn om alle aapjes rondom te zien. Het personeel was zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Het restaurant heeft heel wat lekkers te bieden. The facilities are simple but the food is good and the bed was comfy. It was great value for money and after a long day of exploring the ancient city it was nice to be able to stay right there rather than having to drive an hour or two back to Sigiriya, etc.

All the star are very friendly especially Adelaide who couldn’t do enough. We loved staying at this hotel and would certainly love to return.

The rooms were spacious, and the surroundings were full of wildlife, especially birds and monkeys, which added a lovely touch of nature to the experience. Hot water was provided through an instant heater. A great place if you're looking for authentic food, warm hospitality, and a taste of Sri Lankan wildlife. Everything ok.

It is very well managed and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is good. I was especially impressed by the spaghetti carbonara which tasted really authentic! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is refreshing and well-maintained. The manager organised the hire of bikes and also a wonderful safari, during which we saw numerous elephants including babies. We stayed three nights and would happily have stayed longer.

Dispone de carta de comida recién hecha y de temporada muy muy rica, típica de Sri Lanka. El desayuno espectacular, recomiendo encarecidamente el desayuno típico esrilanqués. El personal y el dueño, como ya he indicado, muy muy amables. Nos dieron indicaciones para visitar Polonnaruwa. La habitación estaba limpia y fresca, todo genial. Por sacar una pega, tiene la ducha muy cerca del wc y salpica un poco.

Der Manager ist so bemüht und hat uns alle Wünsche erfüllt. Das ganze Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich. Es gibt wirklich nichts auszusetzen. Wir waren mit unseren zwei Kindern hier und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der große Garten war ein Traum für die Kinder. Es gab immer etwas zu entdecken. Frühstück war sehr viel aber sehr gut. 🙂

La colazione era ottima ed abbondante, si può scegliere tra opzione continentale con uova, salsiccia etc o locale, con ottimi Roti al cocco e varie specialità tipiche. Possibilità di affittare le bici per girare il sito archeologico, distante circa 20 Min di pedalata. Camera ampia, pulita, bagno eccellente e aria condizionata. Ristorante sempre attivo a qualsiasi ora, prezzi buoni e cibo gustoso. Consigliato. - attenzione alla posizione: è isolato e avrete bisogno di tuk tuk per raggiungere la strada principale specialmente di notte, lhotel è all'interno di vie secondarie dove non è piacevole camminare, specie per animali e visibilità. Occhio anche alla strada per arrivare al Sito in bici, sempre dritta ma con pezzi senza marciapiede e lungo la stretta e trafficata carreggiata. Per il resto godetevi l'ospitalità.

• Antonín (10/5): Very happy with everything - Book the safari with this host! We saw some 120+ elephants and many nice birds. Gave us nice price with pick up from Sigyria. The hotel was really quiet and in the nature. Yet it was almost next to the Polonnaruwa ancient city site. The entry was indeed far away, but the owner got us bikes and the exit was super close to the hotel, so very logical do the visit. Nothing

• Annick (10/5): - Heel mooie tuin met een leuk zwembad, je zit midden in het groen. Verzorgde kamers met prima douche, terras, zeepjes. Heerlijk ontbijt en lekker diner à la carte. Het personeel was heel professioneel en bediende ons alsof we koningen waren. Ideaal om de historische site te bezoeken want we konden fietsen lenen op de locatie zelf. Een echte aanrader! De bedden waren redelijk hard maar dat is persoonlijk uiteraard.

• Satalino (10/5): Perfect hotel in a nice location! - The property is surrounded by a very nice garden with all kind of birds, monkeys and other wildlife, such as a giant squirrel and dogs. The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was very kind and served on our request a wonderful Sr Lankan dinner and breakfast. Wi-Fi was also ok. Nothing - it was perfect. Great value for the money!

• Mark (10/5): The best bang for buck around! - Awesome location in the bush 5 minutes from town. Very tranquil. Great pool. Fantastic staff! Outstanding value. No fridge in room.
• Sander (10/5): Geweldig paradijsje - 5km van de entree van het historische park, maar de uitgang zit bijna om de hoek. Je kan fietsen huren of voor een goede prijs een tuktuktour van 3 uur regelen. De manager doet alles voor je. In de middag heerlijk genieten van het zwembad terwijl de aapjes door het resoort heen lopen. Goede bedden en douche. Eten was echt geweldig. Zelfs het westerse eten was bijzonder goed. Ik kan echt niets bedenken. Voor het resort zouden we zo nog een paar dagen langer kunnen blijven.

• judith (8/5): Lekker zwemmen in het ‘monkey hotel’. - Het zwembad! Een must, met 35 graden. Ook het personeel is heel vriendelijk, en verleent attente service. Zet je schrap voor heel veel dieren. Je bent midden in de jungle, dus je moet er wel een beetje tegen kunnen!
• Joyce (10/5): - Mooie accommodatie buiten het centrum, veel groen, veel dieren kunnen spotten en horen vanuit de tuin die ook een lekker zwembad heeft. Vriendelijk personeel die je graag helpen. Kamers zijn netjes en alles wat je nodig hebt, locatie is ideaal net buiten centrum maar toch heel dichtbij de oude stad.

• Leire (9/5): - We loved the location, the surroundings, and the peaceful atmosphere of the place. The staff were charming and very attentive. A quiet swim in the pool among the trees was the perfect way to relax after visiting the ruins.
• Rajarajan (10/5): Exeptional! - We had an exceptional experience at this place at very reasonable price. Kumara was very friendly host who manages the property very nicely. Very clean, modern rooms located within a lush greenery. Very quiet, surrounded by trees and wildlife made our stay so enjoyable. This place is very close to the archeological city which is the main attraction of polonnaruwa. The restaurant food was amazing and the lovely swimming pool is an added bonus. Kumara gave a great accommodation for our driver which was a surprise for that price. They also did our laundry at no additional cost. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we booked more than one night so that we could’ve spent a whole day at this place to enjoy it fully. Definitely we will stay here again if we come to polonnaruwa in the future.
• Shane (10/5): Nature lovers paradise, with great pool - We spent one night here on.our way from Sigiria to Batticaloa, and are very glad that we did. The location is on the outskirts of town and borders on a bush area, so we were treated to numerous animal encounters during our short stay. We watched monkeys playing in the grounds from the cool haven of the pool, and saw giant squirrels, more monkeys and a couple of hornbills from the balcony of our room. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend.

We had a room in the newer building with terrace. the monkeys visited us on the terrace :-) ! The room was spacious and very clean The food is very good and honest. you really feel welcome at this place, don't hesitate to book here ! Moreover the price we paid was one the best value price places in Sri Lanka Nothing
