The onsite restaurant is only open from Memorial Day thru Labor Day, and there are no restaurants within walking distance for breakfast. Will not stay there again.

I decided to leave because I didn’t like being hit on and I didn’t believe I’m about needing my credit card the whole $40 and being at the place was dirty. I had enough and just left. • Carla (2/5): Worst experience ever! - By far the worst experience I have had with a hotel. Our key did not work so we couldn't get in the building or in our room. We called the "emergency" number several times and waited outside the building for over an hour. Nobody came. Nobody answered the phone. The voicemail said to call tomorrow. Thanks a lot!

• ANDREW (8/5): - Nice small hotel on the Clear Lake waterfront. I arrived at 8pm after the front desk closed but the hotel provides clear easy to follow instructions for self check-in. Room was nice with a patio/view of Clear Lake. Restaurant/hotel was full from Ragbrai guests prepping for the next days ride. I left the next morning early before the front desk arrived.. around 645am. A few small issues- sink in bathroom was not properly attached to wall and needed repair. Coffee pods were in the room but would have preferred fresh made coffee in the lobby. I would stay here again.

Then, back to the room and there was a great restaurant/lounge right next door--all outdoor tables--where we had dinner and watched the sun go down over the lake. Don't miss the donut place a half mile north in the morning. The best!

• Anthony (10/5): Hidden gem of a town. Spectacular Accomodation! - Had a terrific stay at this property. Room was cozy and was literally feet from the beautiful lake. Front desk was friendly and welcoming. Lively restaurant and bar patio right off your patio deck. Only drawback for us was being on the first floor, not having the enhanced view of the lake. Definite plans to return.

• EDWARD J (10/5): This is a must stay!!! - The kid that checked me in was very nice and informative. We loved our room and stay. IF I had to complain about anything, and it’s minor, our entry door was slightly tight and hard to open and close. It would have been nice to have night stands on both sides of the bed with outlets. Luckily I did not take my CPAP machine. My wife did take her’s so that decided which side of the bed we slept on.

A bit disappointed in the morning coffee and muffins (none of either) but were able to get extra k cups for coffee. Parking was a bit of a challenge as we have a large van. I would stay here again and would recommend to others. Thank you.

The gal that runs the hotel is so amazing and is so friendly with a smile on her face always. The property is small and perfect. We had a patio that we so enjoyed. The rooms are right on the water and this property has a restaurant and pull up bar. So fun to watch the people and the food was great. Rooms are very clean and had everything you needed for your stay. Will definitely be returning.

They have a restaurant and lounge outside which is nice but loud. And there's only a handful of rooms so you're all close to the restaurant. And they even have live music which again is nice but loud. And it's very hard to just sit out on your patio and enjoy the view cuz there's always people. As for the room it could use a paint job there was a lot of scrapes but it was nice furniture everything was clean and the people were friendly. And the view couldn't be beat.

The rooms are freshly updated with outstanding comfortable beds, new paint, walk-in showers, service was impeccable. The view of the lake was gorgeous. There was a microwave, refrigerator, Keurig in the rooms. There was a restaurant out back that included a bar, but it did not serve breakfast, nor is there a continental breakfast, but don't let that deter you from staying there! Plenty of breakfast places close by. We will be returning for another stay! Rhonda A

It was very hot and we could not get it to cool down to a comfortable room temperature, so we just turned it off.

• Sharon (6/5): - I have stayed at this property several times in the past and loved the view, the room and the friendly staff. I was however very disappointed in the location of room 103. The room is located beside the outdoor bar that is covered with plastic surrounding it that rattles when the wind blows.There is NO view except for the plastic and the pop machine, ice machine and desk is right outside the door. I booked through Expedia and the desk clerk said Expedia books that room. I will be very skeptical about booking a "partial view" when booking with Expedia. I thought I knew the property but was dead wrong when it came to that room.
• Nina (8/5): Comfy, clean, no microwave - Loved the patio and lake. Was very quiet, sad lounge closes for the season. Hot tub would have been wonderful. Staff friendly. The sunset was magnificent. They didn’t refill the toilet paper, so the night of 2nd day, we had to go find some. Could use more lighting, and maybe some pics on the wall.
