• Angelika (5/5): Enttäuschung - Die Suite war innen sehr schön Es gab keine Terrasse. Es gab zwei unbequeme Stühle am Eingang neben der Tür mit einem kleinen Tisch direkt angrenzend an der Nachbartür das sollte die Terrasse sein. Wir hatten die Suite wegen der schönen Terrasse die auf den Bildern war gebucht, von dieser Terrasse gab es aber nur eine. Es gehörte zumindest in die Beschreibung so aufgeführt. Wie es einem aber dargestellt wird ist es eine Vortäuschung falscher Tatsachen. Das Frühstück das in den Bewertungen so hervorgehoben wird hat uns auch enttäuscht. Es werden ein paar unterschiedliche Speisen serviert, die Auswahl ist gering, sogar ein Cappuccino muss extra bezahlt werden, was aber überhaupt nicht geht, dass es Frühstück erst ab 8:00 Uhr gibt, auf Nachfrage nach einem früheren Frühstück wurde uns zwar angeboten etwas in den Kühlschrank zu stellen dann könnten wir im Zimmer frühstücken, aber das wollten wir auch nicht, es gab ja nicht mal einen Tisch im Zimmer. Die Betreiber sollten sich mal Handhabungen und vor allem Frühstück in anderen Häusern ansehen z. B. Im Drosty Hotel in Graaf Reinet. Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt eine Enttäuschung, auf keinen Fall fünf Sterne entsprechend. Wir haben uns im Ort noch das schöne Swartberg Hotel angesehen, was uns wesentlich besser gefiel!

• Tanya (10/5): A wonderful stay at De Bergkant! - We had a wonderful stay. We had booked two rooms - one ground floor and one upstairs, and they were large, with comfortable king size arrangements. The bathroom had an amazing shower as well as bathtub. The grounds and pool were lovely. Oh and the breakfast menu that had a twist was pure delight. We would love to return here again and stay at De Bergkant in Prince Albert for its charm, and for the various establishments taking the effort of retaining the historical features of when the town was established, and to attend a show at The Showroom. Lastly, Tracey who manages the property and her team were fantastic. We had great service and communication throughout our stay and kind assistance toward my parents (as I didn’t remember to ask about stairs in advance for my dad who is now near 80 - so a little lesson for me for next time). Nothing.

Bei der Zimmerausstattung gab es nichts zu bemängeln und der Service war wie in einem 5 Sterne Haus, selbst an kleinste Kleinigkeiten wird gedacht. Tracy ist ein Engel! Da gibt es nichts.

Es gab am Abend keinen Raum und keine Bar,in dem man sich noch aufhalten konnte.Die Räumlichkeiten wurden um 19.00 Uhr geschlossen. Wir waren zu viert und wollten noch dem Abendessen noch zusammen etwas trinken . Es gab auch keinen Kühlschrank, aus dem man sich hätte mit Getränken bedienen können. So,kannten wir das aus den vielen Gästehäusern, die wir auf unserer Reise besucht haben.

• Maria (10/5): a whimsical and cozy little getaway that will allow you to slow down ⭐️ - the loveliest and most charming little place. if you stay in prince albert, staying at de bergkrant is a MUST. the ambience is a world of tranquility and whimsy. the breakfast was heavenly—with fruit, cake and other delights served by the pool terrace area ( all the while listening to colonies of local birds sing). the whole stay was (and no pun intended) a true breath of fresh air! and importantly — we got to bring our dog, Boston, which made the whole stay more welcoming and exciting. the staff went above and beyond, all incredibly personable. honestly it is not often that you come across a place as perfect as De Bergkrant. from food to hospitality to the facilities and ambience, eveything was in perfect harmony. my mom and i could not stop complimenting and applauding everything. of course an earlier check in, and later check out is always preferable. and perhaps even an extra snack or two in the room is always welcomed ;)

Our particular room was right next to the reception, so very much a thoroughfare, which meant we could not open our internal wooden shutter at all for privacy. Sehr geschmackvolles Zimmer. Prince Albert ist ein karoo Paradies, viele gute Restaurants, bei der Reservierung hilft Tracy . Beeindruckende Fahrt über den Swartberg Paß mit Möglichkeit für eine Rundwanderung (3h, anstrengend). Sehr lohnend, unbedingt buchen!

Ogni dettaglio è curato (dal torroncino al cioccolato sul cuscino la sera, allo sherry per il bicchiere della staffa, ai prodotti da bagno).La colazione è strepitosa. Complimenti allo/a chef! Prodotti di primissima qualità cucinati da veri professionisti. Livello qualitativo altissimo! Tutto il personale è di una gentilezza che ti fa sentire a casa. Talmente accogliente e raffinato in tutto che me ne sono innamorato. Probabilmente il miglior B&B dove sia mai stato in giro per il mondo. Bello, bello, bello! Complimenti a tutto lo staff

It totally exceeded all of our expectations. From the room, to the staff, swimming pool, exquisite decor and vibe throughout the property and the breakfast which was absolutely 5stars!
