We had everything we needed for a very comfortable few days exploring Mt Fuji. The location is great, set back from the lake next to a beautiful shrine and a waterfall walk. The owners are also very nice and dropped us to the station when we checked out. We would come back to Mt Fuji just to stay here!!

They have an amazing view of mount fuji while being in a nice and quiet area. They took us even tho we had a last minute booking. The host is super nice and friendly and even offered to drive us to the station. Nothing. I love everything.

All the facility is well maintained with cute decors and very clean, everything is equipped. What you should bring is only food and drinks. It is located right next to the beautiful shrine which is Unesco world heritage, and having amazing view of Mt.Fuji from the terrace. We stayed with 2 toddlers and 4 adults but space was more than enough, all of us was really happy to stay in this beautiful property welcomed by amazing owners. Their hospitality is not by book, but from the bottom of their heart. We’ll surely come back again.

• Paul (10/5): - They picked me up from the train station. Lent me an electric bike for work. Gave me a delicious home cooked meal. Provided me with information about the Sakura Festival. They were all very kind, very generous, and lovely people. I would recommend this place to anyone. It was truly the best hotel experience I have ever had. They even brought my luggage to my next hotel and wouldn't accept any extra payment for any of this. Truly the best hotel. Don't expect them to do any of this, but don't be surprised if they do.

• Angela (7/5): For big group stay and more quiet experience at lake kawaguchiko - Very spacious, big villa, has a balcony with a view of mt Fuji. There is BBQ pit. There is automated toilet. Very homey. Unique house architecture. It is located a bit far from the main attractions, so need a car to travel. There was a bug on one of the night but used a bug spray to kill it. The spray was provided by the owner.

• Ashween (8/5): Decent stay for the price - La posada is a decently equipped accommodation and had all the amenities required for a stay. It was quite spacious for a family. Kinda dissapointed that I specifically requested for villa A which is the only one that has a proper unobstructed view of Mount Fuji months ago but was only given villa C. Somehow the doors has to be locked and exited from the back which is a bit weird.
• Alexandra (9/5): Cosy accommodation, great hosts and great view of Mt Fuji - This was a great stay, super warm, cosy with all amenities accounted for. The hosts were amazing, so friendly and welcoming and drove us back to the station after our stay. It is a little further out for the main area of kawaguchiko, however there is a local bus stop close by, that takes you around the village, running every hour. Also- a great little family run cafe down the round for coffee and toasties.

• Katrin (10/5): Tranquil, beautiful views, close to nature - the perfect getaway. - La Posada is located out of town on a hill. Lovely view of Mount Fuji and lake Kawaguchio. Very friendly and helpful host. Suzuki went out of her way to do laundry for us, help us hire bicycles, find restaurants and she dropped us off at the bus station when we left. Thank you so much for all the effort! Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful stay. It was all really perfect.

The owner thinks of every detail, including the bathroom and, kitchen tools. 2 tv on each floor. It also has a parking lot just in front of the room. There is a watching & drayer machines free. The car parking is a little bit tricky, but not something that takes into account

We asked them to call for the taxi, they drove us to where we needed instead for free! You can see the Mt. Fuji from the upper balcony very clearly! Would recommend everyone to come to this hotel!
• Satish (6/5): Spacious and cozy, but too many downsides for the price. - Cozy, large sized and good for a family / group Poor quality beds (too soft and infirm), toilet clogged up once (but owner fixed it promptly), far from public transport, on site cafe was not open and no cafes around if you want a morning coffee, and owner won’t offer to drive you around or drop you off (except on the last day when you checkout). Quite pricey, we paid around 250$ a night.

You will see a view of Mount Fuji from the 2nd floor of the room. Everything is good and valuable for us. You need your own car to travel to this accommodation. But that's not a problem for us because we have a car.

• Alexander (10/5): A perfect getaway home in a beautiful part of Japan. Quiet neighbourhood, amazing facilities. - We absolutely loved our stay here, it was truly perfect. Our unit had a glorious view of Mt. Fuji from both the bedroom, living room, and upstairs terrace (units A and B have the best view, ask for these as we suspect some of the other units have no view at all due to the trees on the mountainside). You are essentially renting a townhouse. Huge bathroom with soaking tub, huge sleeping area, living room, full kitchen, large terrace off the living room, and each unit has a second covered terrace on ground level where there are individual barbecue stations! The area near the unit is very quaint, a good mix of holiday homes and local residences. The Asama Kawaguchi Shrine is just around the corner and was one of our favourite shrines of the whole trip to Japan. Ancient sacred trees, no tourists, beautiful architecture, maximum tranquility. It's also just a 20 minute walk from the lake. Don't hesitate, just book this place! The only thing we didn't like was the process of getting the key. We arrived at night and tried calling the hosts, but they didn't answer. The check-in procedure was not clear, and signage is not good. The host's home is the unit closest to the road, and you need to ring a doorbell that's attached to a post of the covered portion of their driveway. It took us a good 15 minutes to figure out what to do. Thankfully the host came out after we found that doorbell.

• Neroli (10/5): Very fun stay with good vibes - The accommodation had a very nice charm and the owners were very kind. Located near the bus stop, near a shrine, mount fuji viewpoint and waterfall. Best to go with a car, because there aren‘t many buses. The view from the terrace was also great! The rooms had very cute details and decorations.
• Lcyp (10/5): Homey atmosphere and comfortable stay - Loved the view of mount fuji right outside the balcony! Room was really big and there's a kitchenette and living area upstairs as well. So comfortable and beautifully furnished with a homey feel. Location is great too, short drive to asama shrine and the lakefront. No one was at reception when we arrived for checkin, but no worries we were able to get someone later

• Sharon (10/5): - Absolutely loved our time here! The owner was very welcoming and helpful, we were able to do a few loads of washing which was really needed. The property is spacious and very cutely decorated. Each piece of decoration brought us Joy. Highly recommended.
• Maeva (8/5): - The accommodation was very good, it is somewhat removed away from transportation, the owner and his wife are most gracious the bed is comfortable and clean sheets. The best of all is the toilet, it is the best to experience in my entire trip to Japan, Japan showers and toilets are wonderful, but la Posada has a toilet that auto open the toilet cover and the too system is the latest flushing system.
• Pierrecz (10/5): Exceptional - This was the best stay we had during our three month trip so far! Owners were super nice and even gave us a free ride to dinner and back and then to the train station after check out. Honestly this is a hidden gem, perfect stop next to a UNESCO temple. We rented an electric bike by the lake and just spent three days going around the area. Definitely recommend to everyone.
• James (10/5): - We were very pleasantly surprised by La Posada. The place was comfortable and well-equipped. The balcony on our unit had a great view of the lake and most of Mt. Fuji, with just a part of it behind trees. I think all the units would have a great view of the lake. It seemed out of the way in the map, but it’s surprising close to many things.There’s a shrine and waterfall next door and on top of a nearby hill is a view that rivals that at the Arakurayama Sengen Shrine, minus the cherry trees. It’s only a 20 minute walk to the lake - we walked to the lake, got dinner at the 7-11 nearby, and sat on the shore eating with a view of Mt. Fuji. We had a car so didn’t look into public transit but we saw people at bus stops on the main street, so this place is usable even without a car, and it’s much quieter than the places downtown. Two minor issues - the parking lot is narrow like the streets, so though the spaces are generous it requires concentration to get a car in and out. Also, there seemed to be a sewage smell in the parking lot, not sure where it came from. All in all, this is a great place to stay if you’re visiting the area.
• Alberto (10/5): Posada the hidden gem you need to book! You won't regret it! - Henry was amazing such a great, wonderful, helpful, and entertaining individual and owner. The location is next to UNESCO temple, Haha no Chirataki Waterfall, and another scenic view point Tenku No tori. I loved learning about the neighborhood, Japanese culture, and Mt Fuji. I highly recommend staying here you won't be disappointed. The Posada is quite, peaceful, nicely decorated, with tons of space. My girlfriend and I were extremely happy we decided to stay an additional night to explore the surrounding lakes.

• Matchalance (10/5): Amazingly beautiful place. - This place was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Immaculate Japanese cottage right next to an amazing shrine. The hosts were INCREDIBLE. Went out of there way to help a family of English speakers have an amazing time. Despite the language challenges we had a great time between our Japanese/English mix-match.
