Guest Reviews
- Zahreen (1/5): - One of the staff was quite helpful Freezing cold no heating . A dangerous looking gas heater was brought out at the end of the evening when we complained. The front door was left open whilst none of our doors closed at all. When I complained I was told it didn't matter as it was just me! When we woke there was no water ar all. Everywhere was dark and damp so you couldn't see anything. We left after one night. Maybe a different experience in Summer

- Zina (8/5): I liked it, my friends bot as much - The location was just what we wanted. It is a charming place. Someone did a lovely job renovating this Kasba. It did have an abandoned feel to it though, which I liked but my friends didn’t.
The cook came and made us dinner both nights and it was very good. He was very nice. There was a problem with the water for the shower, and don’t use the soaps! We ran into a couple that used to come when it first opened and they said it had really gone down. It seems the owners have moved on to something else.
- Daren (1/5): stay away! - Nothing Firstly we arrive and they try putting us in one room when I paid for two. I then had a soup this evening and the next and got charged 10 euros for each bowl, there was 3 of us, and keeping in mind you can eat a meal for a third of this in this area. Breakfast was limited. Every time we asked for something we were told they didn't have it. No one at property during the day, you have to call a number for someone to come and let you in. Shower is awful and water was Luke warm for the duration of the stay. This is a relatively expensive hotel for the area and it's terrible, stay away at all costs.
- Matteo (10/5): Exceptional - The most charming place I stayed during my trip in Marocco. Elegant dinner and hospitality. Thank you
- Xx007xx007xx (10/5): Authentic and amazing location - Beautiful and peaceful place to stay.
The Kasbah is just amazing, spacious and really nicely decorated. From the top of the kasbah, on the roof, you will get an amazing view of the area.
Our room, the one with balcony, was actually way bigger than expected, it included a small living room and a resting area in addition to the room and bathroom.
The host were really nice, giving us some tips on our next destination.
Loved the pool to refresh and the 2-3 sitting areas around the house and garden.
Great place to stay for visiting the Roses valley or Dades.
I would definitely recommend and come back again. Nothing, just maybe an advise to put a sign on the kasbah to locate it imore easily 😉
- Vannoy (10/5): If you have the chance to stay here and enjoy the experience of a lifetime do it…done☑️ - Everything….period Nothing this place is simply amazing
- Alessandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Borja (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was super kind and the property really well decorated. The Kasbah is in a beautiful location and good located if you are visiting Todhra Gorges.
- paolo (2/5): struttura chiusa - il 22/8 trovato la struttura chiusa, è in ristrutturazione.
- S7694LZlisab (10/5): My favorite kasbah in Morocco! - We stayed in this beautiful place for one night on our way from Marrakesh to Merzouga and I absolutely loved it! The rooms are beautiful, shower was hot, food was delicious and the service very warm. Wish we could have stayed longer!
- Giulia_gustinucci (10/5): Charming pesceful place in the middle of roses - I went there with 3 friends as part of a tour. Unique atmosphere, very romantic, perfect architecture and tasteful design, in the middle of pure nature. Very good food and nice breakfast. The only issue is that it might be difficult to reach without local driver. For the rest is totally advised, especially for couples.
- MisterJorge (10/5): Stay here if you can. - Book this place....do it now. When you get there you will find that it is nicely tucked away in framer fields just a short walk from the main road...not the easiest to find as is the case with most really nice things. The building is extremely rustic and traditional with modern amenities such as a/c and a pool. Did not eat lunch there but breakfast and diner were both delicious. Do yourself a favor, from one traveller to another, make sure you are on the roof for sunset and the call to prayer. I am not religious, but my god...incredible.
- coryv713 (10/5): Wonderful stay - We had a wonderful stay, food was great and very clean. Mohamed and Mustafa were amazing, spoke French, Arabic and English. The staff played music for us after dinner. The rooms were very cute. I never experience a room like this. Thank you for an amazing stay.
- Mati500 (10/5): Amazing place and very lovely people! - I went in this kasbah with my boyfriend for one night. Mustafa is a lovely person, very careful and friendly. The room was really beautiful, clean and warm. The kasbah is amazing, it seems to enter in another world. We have here dinner and breakfast, everything was delicious!!
I hope to come back soon!!
- elenasuaraez47 (10/5): THE BEST KASBAH IN SOUTH MOROCCO - The breakfasts were out of this world, and the location was close to all main attractions. They booked us airport transfers, places at a local cookery school, a hammam and recommended restaurant which were spot on. The best thing were the staff, attentive, friendly and helpful - you couldn't ask for more. If you dithering, don't - you should book now!
Thank you Mustapha.
- Lukeysarbear (10/5): Hidden Gem!! - We were given this accommodation as part of our tour that we booked from Fes through the mountains back to Marrakech.
After a bit of a challenge to find it (hidden away a short walk from an unpaved road) we found the oasis that is this Kasbah.
We were the only ones staying here which meant we had the run of the place, not that we did much more than sleep and eat! Our room was a decent size, with nice rooftop outdoor seating area and a good size bathroom with bath and shower. The rustic wooden doors are so simple but at the same time, genuinely amazing - I want some for home! You'll see what I mean when you stay.. There is also a common area with TV and WiFi and of course unlimited mint tea!
In terms of food, we had a delicious (if a bit too salty!) Beef tagine, which was one of the best of the many tagines I had while in Morocco. Breakfast was served with some delicious homemade marmalade and the standard selection of breads that everywhere seems to have a version of here!
Overall I would definitely recommend this place, the only down side is that we arrived too late in the day to enjoy the pool!
- 626alexm626 (10/5): I will dream of this place... - Staying here was definitely one of the most wonderful experiences I've ever had.
We were the only people in the hotel, which probably contributed to our experience a bit. But - regardless. This place is just - breathtaking. The views from the roof, the room, the surrounding almond orchard with ruins of the old Kasbah... just stunning
The dinner and breakfast we had were amazing. Everything was just magical.
I hope to get to return here sometime.
Some basics:
They did have soap, a hairdryer, hot water, a heater in the bedroom, and lots of outlets!
- SarahP255 (10/5): Beauty and comfort in the heart of the Anti Atlas - Just loved this place, very private and the decor was amazing. the staff friendly and attentive, A bit hard to get to with lots of luggage as you can't park that close to the entrance but the staff is always ready to help. I would definitely return to this place, the rooms and the grounds are delightful
- ArtemisBrisbane (10/5): Magical - This is the sort of place that is quite hard to describe because it is more than the sum of its parts. It has an atmosphere and a kind of beauty that are hard to describe. It is not that it is more luxurious or better equipped than other places, but it has a kind of appeal that glitzy five-star hotels can only wish for. The walls are made from mud and straw, the stairs are glossy, curved and smooth, the furnishings are simple but lovely. The view from the rooftop of the mountains and nearby village and surrounding orchards is lovely. We didn't quite have time to swim in the pool, as we only had one night at this Kasbah, but it looked lovely. Our dinner and breakfast were very good, and the manager of the hotel took us on a guided walk through the nearby orchards and fields, where we could see people going about their daily lives.
The hotel was very quiet and peaceful, but could be hard to find if you're going there without a guide or driver. It's tucked away off the main road down a whole lot of little country lanes.
Ultimately, you either 'get' this place or you don't. I know one person who visited in January found it very cold - we were there in October and it was perfect - so I can't comment on what it's like in winter, but we just loved the place. It probably has imperfections but who cares when you feel like you've just stepped into a fairy story or a photo shoot for Vogue! Try it if you love magical places.
- ilsef2013 (10/5): just perfect - This place to stay has it all!
So beautiful decorated inside and the terraces and the pool are lovely.
The diner is very good and served on the nice terraces.
I would highly recommend this place!!
We did also a small walk around the kasbah trough the roses.
It was a wonderful stay!!
- gillianp96 (10/5): An Unexpected Treasure - OH MY! Never would we have expected such a lovely piece of paradise from the narrow winding dirt road that leads to this most special B&B. Our room was on the top floor complete with living area, WC, and separate bedroom. We only spent one night as part of an arranged tour (Nomade Life) but we enjoyed it immensely. The decor is unique and special...a lovely blend of rustic and modern with a Moroccan flare. Our host/owner was very hospitable and our dinner was one of the best meals we had in Morocco- easily beating out the top ranked restaurants in Marrakesh. Moroccan soup, beef tagine, and desert of pomegranate seeds w/orange. A simple meal with an explosion of flavor.
If you plan to do a tour through Morocco, I highly recommend making this place a stop on your journey.
- AlisonP649 (10/5): A Little Piece of Paradise - Chanced on this kasbah on booking.com & so glad we did. Booked for 3 nights but couldn't tear ourselves away and stayed 4 as we were enjoying the experience so much. Built around 3 courtyards, including one with a divine swimming pool, which was a welcome place to cool off in the heat of the day, the kasbah buildings are fabulous and authentic. The decor is restrained and tasteful, contemporary but respecting the Moroccan aesthetic. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, friendly or professional .... not something you come across often in Morocco so a welcome surprise. Food was superb, and service excellent ..... discreet & polite. We took bottles of duty free wine to enjoy with the fabulous meals, served in the garden courtyard, which made it a restaurant quality experience, (no alcohol was available locally ). We took a taxi to the Dades Valley for a day trip which was a wonderful experience, staff at the kasbah arranged all our taxis & tours for us with no hassle or problems. Local shopping in Kelaa M'Gouna was very good, a local artisan co-op produces handmade Berber daggers, the Berber rug shop had a good selection at very low prices. Rose products are local specialties, so creams & other lotions are available & very cheap, also Argan oil. The whole experience was a memorable highlight of our Moroccan holiday.
- Luddles (10/5): Great food, very quiet - lovely and secluded - 1 night stay in April- quiet and relaxing. Food was fantastic and owner very friendly and eager to please.
We spoke little French and the owner no English but we managed and hey it just meant we didn't have to talk :) large , comfortable rooms. Beautiful mix of moroccan architecture with a touch of European luxury - one of the best sleeps I had in morocco. We stayed here on a tour but wouldn't hesitate to visit again . Great value for money (no wifi )
- Lucyrv1 (10/5): A hidden gem - What a delightful find. This gorgeous kasbah was our hidden unexpected gem of the trip. The location was sensational, peacefully nestled in the oasis surrounded by birds and quiet. The Accommodation and decor are stylishly simple but chic, the gardens and pool area are havens of tranquility. Best of all Mohammed and Mustapha were wonderful. I was sick whilst there and they could not do enough to help me. Very thoughtful and kind. My partner reported dinner was wonderful and breakfast certainly was. All meals were taken in the beautiful garden, under the vine covered pergola. Very very pretty. A top class spot and definitely a hidden gem. One last point.... Do not even contemplate trying to find it on your own, ring them and they will come and get you.
- good-living-montreal (10/5): Hidden nest, beautifully designed and so relaxing - With great hospitality and amazing Kasbah design, restored and well-maintained, you will just enjoy every moment of stay there. We incidentally heard about this place from our Marrakesh host (that partly owns this place as well) and we are so happy that we stayed there.
The interior design is magnificent and it keeps the spirit of the old Kasbah. Rooms are clean, roomy, great shower and heating to keep yourself hot during the night.
We also ate dinner there and it was delicious!!!
- NellyE_12 (10/5): Perfect nest - We were looking for a very special place , unique, romantic. All our expectation were fulfilled. The kasbab was gorgeous, the staff very helpful. They did prepare a beautiful and delicious dinner with candles. The room or should I say the suite was simple elegant and very cozy. We really loved it and did stay 2 extra days to be able to enjoy it more. We really recommend to travellers looking for natural beauty.
- davemZ774XB (10/5): Beautiful kasbah - This was my first stay in a Moroccan Kasbah. The building has been beautifully restored with enough modern features to make it very comfortable. We arrived late and were met at the main road and guided to the Kasbah. Mustafa was a perfect host and dinner was excelent
- LeneT980 (10/5): Wonderful, unique and secluded kasbah - I had the pleasure of spending one night at Kasbah Ait Moussa and I hope to return for a longer stay in the near future.
The old kasbah has been restored beautifully - maintaining and creating an unique atmosphere. The Kasbahs secluded location in the Valley of Roses provides a wonderful tranquillity perfect for a romantic getaway or a relaxing break.
The staff was friendly, the service was perfect and the food was absolutely delicious.
This kasbah is a must-see and a must-stay.
- OHelena (10/5): Beatiful kasbah - A very nice kasbah in the Valley of the Roses. We stayed one night but we could imagine to stay much longer. Beautiful place, great food, very nice staff and comfortable rooms. Very clean and calm also.
