• Pamela (9/5): Enjoyable Stay! - Central and convenient location just a few minutes walk to Tritons Fountain, three short blocks to the must-see St John's Co-Cathedral, and central to all of the main sights including Upper Barakka Gardens and the elevator to take you down to the water taxis to Birgu. The hotel is right next door to the The Royal Opera House which is now an outdoor theater within in the shell of the magnificent original structure which was destroyed by Nazi bombs in WWII. Even though Republic Street is the main tourist walking street with a lot of noise and action, the hotel provides a peaceful oasis. The 3rd floor terrace is a lovely setting with views over the city where you can enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. The entire staff and manager for the property are friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and eager to assist with anything to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Mohit and Alvin at the front desk were both so personable and helpful. The hotel is very tastefully decorated, linens, towels and robes are soft and luxurious, and beds are very comfortable. A very nice breakfast is made to order with delicious coffee. Nothing.

We also had dinner at the hotel on one evening, and it was fantastic. The real jewel of this hotel is the staff and the manager who they truly make the experience special.

It is a small palazzo on a pedestrianized street and within walking distance of many landmarks and good restaurants. The rooms are quiet and quaint. What sets it apart is the professional yet personal service of its staff. From the front desk to the restaurant, all of them went that extra step to make us feel at home.

Moul himself greeted us daily with perfect trip and dinner recommendations. Once inside, this boutique style hotel has such a peaceful and friendly atmosphere despite being so close to some of the popular tourist attractions. Lovely room Great breakfast Highly recommended

Staff were excellent especially the manager who went above and beyond with advice on where to visit and places to eat. Really central position in Valletta. The restaurant is excellent in the evening. It could be a bit cold at breakfast, don’t sit next to the door. The food was lovely but would be better if the plates were warm/hot. I would definitely recommend if wanting a family run, friendly hotel in Valletta.

The location so very convenient for everything we wanted, being right in the centre not far from the bus terminus or many of the main Valetta sights. The hotel was so comfortable, clean and quiet even though it was just on the main street of Valetta. We're so pleased we stayed here for our week in Malta and I can't recommend it more highly.

Feeling of luxury and calm as soon as you enter- which is important as the streets outside are constantly busy with tourists. Rooms very comfortable with high standard of service. We were upgraded to a suite which was delightful. Breakfasts fine. Reception staff excellent. We had a lovely welcome and the manager later approached us to offer help on visiting the city and surroundings. Only issue for us was hardness of mattress on bed- which we often experience in hotels. Minor issue too is fact that taxis cannot park outside so you have to lug cases to meeting point.

• geofftravel (10/5): Just brilliant! - Domus Zamittello is very well situated on Valletta's main street, 5 minutes from the city's main attractions, cafes, restaurants, shops, bus and ferry stations. Our 3rd floor, beautifully furnished and clean corner room looked up the street to the main Pjiaza and onto a sunny terrace overlooking Republic Street. Always busy, the street is never noisy and kept very clean. The staff are lovely too: friendly and welcoming, helpful and informative, they foster a warm yet professional ambience. The bombing of Iran and its retaliatory strikes on Gulf targets happened while we were there, affecting the travel plans of other guests. The hotel manager could not have done more, or more quickly, to support: holding their room, arranging transport and ensuring their continued onward journey. We stayed 10 nights - superb cooked/continental breakfast - so had time to explore, but visit advice, travel arrangements, whatever, was freely given and supportive. Book your Cathedral visit online (complete with the Carravagio Experience) to beat the queue, was the best advice ever, as queues, especially when there is a cruise liner docked, are long and slow. We cannot recommend Domus Zamittello highly enough - a simply wonderful stay!

We had a truly outstanding experience. The hotel is in a fabulous location, the rooms are well-appointed, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were always kind, courteous and willing to help. If you are planning a trip to Malta, do yourself a favor and book a stay at Domus Zamittello. You will not be disappointed!

• Curious67415655566 (10/5): A phenomenal find - This is an exceptional find My wife and I travel quite a bit and this is a real stand out. It is a small boutique hotel set just inside the gates of Valletta, but this old palacio has such thick walls that we never heard any noise, despite arriving during carnival. It has a beautiful, graceful Renaissance look, but the real reason that this is such a great place is the staff they have. Doul, the manager, offered priceless advice as to where to tour, what to skip, and where to eat. Everyone of those recommendations were exceptional. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It is graceful while being unpretentious. We hope to return someday.
• tadbry (10/5): Special stay - We visited Malta and were planning on staying in a boutique hotel in the centre of Valletta. We chose Domus Zamitello and we were delighted to stay here. All the staff, from breakfast to reception to the driver were very attentive and made our stay extra special. Moul Hajjar the general manager was always present, with a polite smile and a very welcoming manner. He made many suggestions for day trips around Malta and Gozo which we took up. Our hotel room 43 was wonderful, it was so spacious and we had a great view to the coming and goings of the pedestrianised area below. I would highly recommend this hotel for it's personalised service and great location.

• Paul (9/5): Very pleasant stay in late winter. - Great central position in Valletta on the Republic. Well appointed rooms, sound insulated windows, great breakfast and wonderful friendly staff. The beds are quite hard and we found them uncomfortable even after the helpful staff added a topper. We could hear some noise from neighbouring room although only slight.

• Debbie (10/5): A perfect stay made great by the staff at Domus - This hotel is perfectly located in Valletta Nextdoor to Opera and Parliament building within easy walking of ferries and all the other attractions. Being on a pedestrian street there was no traffic noise. All the hotel staff were very welcoming, helpful with booking restaurants and guiding us to the attractions and when best to visit. The bedroom was a delight, large with lovely bathrooms with everything you needed for your stay and a very comfortable bed with turndown service. Breakfast was excellent and served not buffet and the food in the restaurant was excellent. We will return.

• Namrata (8/5): Comfortable stay in the heart of Valletta - Excellent location and friendly staff. The hotel is located in the heart of Valletta and is very close to key attractions and restaurants. The staff was also extremely helpful and professional. The room whilst big, clean and comfortable, didn't have a window. I wish the room had a window as it felt a little claustrophobic at times. Breakfast options can be a bit better.
