Wesch (10/5): Great stay! - We selected this property due to its proximity to Wilford Hall on Lackland AFB. I was to have cataracts removed from both eyes the next day, with a 24 hour recheck. We always try to stay at a place with suites because it usually comes with a kitchenette, and a large bathroom. Candlewood did not disappoint! Will stay at another in the future. It was perfect! The staff were very helpful, the bed was more comfortable than most hotel beds.

Jon (10/5): It was a great place to stay and a great distance from sea world and downtown! - They accidentally over booked the studio with two queen beds that we had booked ahead of time, but they upgraded our stay in a one bedroom king suite with sofa bed with no extra charge. They charged us the same price as we paid for the studio. It was even better for a family of 4. It was also right in the middle of downtown and sea world so the drive to both wasn’t far at all.

If you don’t plan on venturing out and wanting things close walking distance then stay downtown. I enjoyed the hotel it was quiet and I didn’t mind driving to the city. Check out the River Walk, the Alamo and the mirror made. River walk is all restaurants very little stores. If you walk in the city towards The Almo there are tons of shops. I loved the convenience of this hotel to base!
