We really appreciated being given a comfortable and more spacious room. The accommodation was very well organized, clean, and had everything needed to feel at home. The kitchen was especially well equipped! After many hours on the road, we had a peaceful and restorative stay. The location and natural surroundings make this place truly unique. We would definitely stay here again!

- Peter John (9/5): Authentic , homely , comfortable and lowkey - The authenticity, homeliness and comfort . If you want a paired down gentle experience in a truly majestic setting , then this is the place . I was alone there , off season for Christmas and the owners could not do enough to make me feel comfortable. I hadn’t done any research initially regards to transport , assuming there would be public transport of some sort , there isn’t . With that said owners supported me to get a hire car which after the initial nerves of driving on ice and in the low light , was fortuitous as I was able to enjoy all the surrounding area and geological wonders with out spending a fortune on tours .
- Dex.exe (10/5): Don't look any further, this where you want to stay. - Very lovely couple hosting us. They made us feel really at home. There are plenty of puzzles, board games and books to enjoy. The location is peaceful. There are great facilities, like a good quality coffee machine with fresh beans and a grinder. Fully equipped kitchen with plenty of spices, even an air fryer. Oh, and the hot tub! I have nothing to complain about. The price was good too :)

We went there and had an amazing fish and chip meal and spent ages chatting with our waitress getting more tips. Calling it a 'country club' was overly ambitious. It's a house.

- Steven (7/5): Good place to stay. - Room was good. Clean and large enough for three. The write up on Booking was not clear that the kitchen was shared. Everyone seemed to be cooking at the same time, and the kitchen was very cramped, however, everyone was nice about it. Several of us cooking had a problem with the burners on the stove. It seemed like only one was working 100% properly. The eating area did not have enough space for all the folks staying there to eat. Shoes had to be removed to enter the building and there was no place to place the luggage inside the door if one had to make several trips to the car

- Sabrina (3/5): - Die Lage. Leider sind die Zimmer sehr eng. Wirklich sauber sind sie ebenfalls nicht, teilweise liegt viel Staub in den Ecken. Das Gemeinschaftsbad hat seine besten Tage schon hinter sich und wird NICHT täglich gereinigt. Es sind insgesamt 6-7 Räume a 2 Personen. Bei der Anzahl der Gäste kann man erwarten, dass das Bad täglich geputzt wird. Außerdem ist die Duscharmatur halb abgefallen. Es gibt leider zu wenig Sitzplätze für alle Gäste. Wir mussten ca eine Stunde warten, um in die Küche und dann frühstücken zu können. Wir können die Unterkunft nicht empfehlen! Lieber 10-15 € mehr pro Nacht und dafür etwas vernünftiges!

- Linda (9/5): Bij de zeeman thuis! - Wat een fantastische locatie! De host runt het guesthouse met veel liefde en houd van gezelligheid en boeken. De keuken is fantastisch geoutilleerd, werkelijk alles is voorhanden! Wel even goed afstemmen met de medegasten, want de ruimte is beperkt. Voor de deur hebben we walvissen gespot vanuit de tuin, wat een bonus! De volgende keer kom ik hier zeker terug!

- Deborah (7/5): Ideal para quienes buscan una experiencia tranquila y auténtica en el campo islandés sin lujos - La cocina común esta totalmente equipada y en caso de que te falte algo para cocinar, el alojamiento tiene opción de comprar alimentos allí mismo. Tienen servicio de lavanderia y los baños son muy amplios. Es un hogar muy tranquilo para viajes en familia. El tamaño de la habitación era el mínimo imprescindible para ubicar las 2 camas individuales. La habitación al estar en el sótano, las vistas eran mínimas a través de la ventana-tragaluz. En contrapunto a la cocina super equipada, el espacio de comedor es mínimo, teniendo mesas literalmente en el pasillo con vistas a las puertas de las habitaciones.

C'è la cucina per potersi preparare la cena ma è molto piccola per la quantità di camere presenti, inoltre i tavolini dove poter cenare sono nel corridoio su cui si affacciano le camere. È presente una vasca di acqua calda che avrebbe dovuto essere a 40° ma che in realtà era molto più calda, per noi troppo.

- Elisabeth Haljas (7/5): A pleasant stay for a night, good facilities, accommodating hosts - The house was very quiet when we stayed there, only one other lovely couple stayed that night. We had option to do laundry, currently at 2000kr extra, for washing and dryer for as long as needed, which was a very good price for the service. Facilities and room was very clean. Separate kitchen for the guests with all equipment, even a dishwasher. Bed was very comfortable. The room was quite small where we stayed, and felt a bit cluttered with a lot of things in the room to create ambiance, but took up more space. I wasn't sure we'd arrived at the right place as there's no indication really outside, we compared the picture to the house and deduced it was the correct building. There were instructions on the door though once you got close enough.

Ampio parcheggio camera abbastanza grande La cucina è veramente piccola, ci sono solo 6 posti su due tavoli, per cui bisogna alternarsi con gli altri ospiti, poco confortevole!

Acqua fresca, latte, tè e caffe tutto offerto. Bagno grande e, credo, riservato all'uso di sole due stanze. Avevo letto che era pieno di oggetti, ma ho trovato la cosa divertente, è solo il gusto dei proprietari. Vero però che tanti oggetti tolgono spazio ai bagagli. Era pulito, ma forse investire su un aiuto nelle pulizie può aiutare. L'unica cosa che cambierei è il prezzo: abbiamo alloggiato ovunque in Islanda e qui lo abbiamo trovato un po' troppo costoso

Possibilità di scegliere tra bagni in comune e bagno privato. Proprietari molto accoglienti Lo spazio della cucina è piccolo, così come sono limitati i posti a sedere per cenare e fare colazione, rischiando di dover aspettare il proprio turno; manca inoltre uno spazio comune dove poter chiacchierare/giocare al di là di quello per i pranzi.

- charline (10/5): Très bien - Un accueil chaleureux pas les deux propriétaires du guesthouse qui semblent vraiment avoir mis leur maison familiale à disposition. La cuisine est très très bien équipé, vous trouverez forcément ce dont vous avez besoin. Il y a du café, du thé et du lait à disposition. Disponible aussi, une terrasse avec des tables pour déjeuner à l’air libre et une hôtel pool à 39°C pour se détendre.

Kleines Zimmer, mit 2 koffern etwas eng, aber war auch machbar ☺️☺️ Die Lage war etwas weiter von Akureyri weg als wir es uns vorgestellt hatten.

- Elodie (7/5): Viking country club en fait est une guest house chez des particuliers - L’emplacement avec la vue sur le fjord et les baleines :) Le petit village de pêcheurs avec l’ancienne usine de hareng apportant une ambiance hors du commun, le parc de jeu en contre bas pour les enfants Lave linge et sèche linge payant 3000isk La déco kitsch de nos grands mères avec les rideaux a l’ancienne, les vieux fauteuils et tableaux. Le Hot tub pas très engageant, pas super propre. La cuisine très exiguë pour manger 1 table de 4 et 2 tables de 2 dans un couloir.

Zona esterna con bbq, tavolini e vasca termale riscaldata probabilmente poco utilizzata (era chiusa con la copertura). Nel bagno comune delle camere a piano terra (4 camere) presente grande lavatrice (1500ISK a lavaggio) e asciugatrice (altri 1500ISK a utilizzo) Zona pranzo scarsa, solo tre tavoli (totale 6 posti max 8) per 8 camere!! Camera piccola e forse troppo riempita di libri e soprammobili. Belli ma rendevano la stanza più piccola di quello che era e a volte occupavano superfici utili per appoggiare chiavi, telefono ecc. Raccolta differenziata presente ma poco visibile: i bidoni sono all'ingresso dove si tolgono le scarpe, la cucina è al piano superiore. Se appena arrivi non ci fai caso non è segnato da nessuna parte. Su 8 camere nessuno aveva capito dove buttare i rifiuti, risultato bidoni in cucina strapieni di tutto.

Plenty storage in fridge for my things and plenty of parking only 25 minutes to downtown Akureyri Flys there was electric swatter in room which was useful, but room needs screens on windows the only way you stop them getting in room. I could not eat a snack in my room due to this.

Buona la posizione vicino ad Akureiry. Cucina attrazzatissima. Struttura un po' polverosa, è la casa dei proprietari e si vede. Avrebbe bisogno di una rinfrescata.
