Early morning when Im about to check out, I’ve met one of the staff name Fahsai. She did say something but I am not really catched what she trying to say, but we both laugh. She also give some present(key chain). What a good day to start! Thank you for the hospitality and warm welcome. This is my second time in Bangkok and hoping to have another opportunity to stay again with Marriot. Keep up the good services and to Fahsai, glad to meet you this morning. Not so for gold… - I was genuinely looking forward to staying at the Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse in May, as it is a beautiful property and had been highly recommended for my birthday. I have been a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum member for over 3 years and originally booked this stay while still holding that status. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, my membership tier was downgraded to Gold shortly before the trip. Given the occasion, I reached out to the hotel in advance to kindly ask if they could make a one-time exception and extend Executive Lounge access. I was not asking for anything beyond that, just a small gesture for a short stay and a special celebration. Instead of any form of flexibility or acknowledgment of my loyalty, I was offered upsell options at a “discounted” rate. While I understand policies are in place and benefits are tied to status, the response felt quite transactional and disappointing. There was no attempt to recognise the context of my long-term loyalty or the occasion of my visit. Beautiful property to stay at as platinum or above, but not a lot of flexibility or acknowledgment for gold members…

From the check-in process, room upgrade, to the luggage assistance, everything was handled professionally and warmly. I would especially like to thank Zing and his teammates for the excellent luggage service when we checked out at night. Their kindness and helpful attitude really left a deep impression on us. If I visit Thailand again in the future, I will definitely choose the Surawong Marriott again. Highly recommended!

The food at the restaurants is top notch and varied with very helpful servers. Breakfast is a must!! The real highlight is the rooftop bar/restaurant. Great view of Bangkok at night with outstanding drinks and food. The rooms are high end Marriott rooms and very comfortable. Overall, we loved our stay and will return.

Looking forward to my next stay in - My first impression entering the hotel was impressive so was a great start to my 7 days stay. The b/fast was excellent with lots of options and the coffee was on point, and having a restaurant at the pool was very convenient. I used the gym a few time which was very well equipped. All staff were outstanding in their presentation and service they provide with the exception of one minor issue, see below. I could not work the phone in my room so had to go down to reception and ask them to send someone up to sort out. I had to go down the next day and remind them then had to go down the next day again!! So I waited at reception and someone came up and sorted it out. Was a bit inconvenient. I used the laundry service which was rather expensive.

- Road26683933935 (10/5): Heartwarming service that made my stay fabulous - I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bangkok Marriott Surawongse Hotel, and the most impressive part was definitely the incredible staff service. Special thanks to Big, a concierge intern here. He has a lovely warm smile and was extremely helpful throughout my stay. Once my ride-hailing car stopped across the road, he kindly walked me across the street and opened the car door for me. Such thoughtful and heartfelt service is truly rare and touching. I also met a very kind Chief Concierge Amarin and Fahsai before check-out. Fahsai has a sweet personality and a great professional look, and genuine smile, perfect for the guest relations role, leave me a very deep impression.Both of them were very approachable,asked about my stay experience, and gave great recommendations, making my check-out experience memorable and pleasant. Besides the service, I also visited the hotel’s Sky Bar. The view is breathtaking and the atmosphere is super relaxing, plus the food there was delicious. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well-maintained. We also received a delicious anniversary cake as a special surprise during our stay, I could see every part of my stay was being well taken care by all staff, including the front desk lady who check me in and the housekeeping staff. Overall, it was a perfect and unforgettable accommodation experience. The warm hospitality of all the staff was the biggest highlight of my trip, making me feel right at home. I would definitely stay at this Bangkok Marriott again and highly recommend it to everyone visiting Bangkok!

The manager, Alex and front desk staff was very professional and exceeded in kindness and professionalism. Alex went over and beyond in helping us as my husband took ill and was hospitalized on the 2nd day of a 17 day vacation. Alex and staff made us feel welcomed and comforting during our stressful time. Armain, the concierge manager; Natto, concierge chief as well as the bellmen were all spectacular and was there to help with any concerns! The hotel is very clean and food is delicious. Food shift manager, Jay and staff were always ready to assist. Hotel is situated in a quiet area with just a taxi or tuk tuk ride to your favorite site. My family and I are seasoned travelers and by far this is the best Marriott we have visited.

Because every time I stay it feels like home, the staff are amazing, the rooms spotless and roomy, and the food is consistently excellent. Why wouldn't I! The staff are all very friendly and spend the time to really get to know you which is fantastic and not common for most hotels. A special call out to Fahsai who has remembered my name for some time now and provides exceptional service each and every time. Also one of their newer recruits Big is also fantastic to get to know and is clearly being mentored well.

However, even more impressive than the hotel itself is the staff. I was checked in by Angela, and I can genuinely say that I have rarely experienced such a warm and professional welcome. With a consistent and sincere smile, she attended to every detail of my preferences, demonstrating a remarkable ability to anticipate and fulfil guest expectations. Throughout my entire stay, the team consistently ensured that everything met my satisfaction. The service can best be described as a refined blend of genuine Eastern charm delivered with an efficient and highly professional standard of hospitality. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to recommend this property…

Swimming in the infinity pool at night was a highlight—such a great experience. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived; every single person went out of their way to make us feel special. The breakfast buffet offers an impressive variety of international options—I honestly wish I had two stomachs so I could try everything. We were sad to only stay one night, but we’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Bangkok. Nothing bad to say.

First of all, I would like to thank the reception and reservation team for upgrading us to a spacious suite. The view from the room was exactly what we had hoped for—we could even see the Pixel Building from our window. We arrived quite early on March 9 from Montreal, and the young lady at the reception kindly suggested we use the swimming pool area to take a shower and change clothes. It was a very thoughtful gesture. The infinity pool is exceptional, offering a wonderful view of the skyline. During our stay, we also made use of the hotel’s shuttle service to the BTS station. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast as well—it was the best we had during our two-week trip to Thailand.
- dongl979 (10/5): Superb Marriott 5-Star Hotel in Bankok! - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this 5-star hotel in Bangkok March 9-11. We were extremely grateful that the hotel upgraded us (for free) to a very spacious suit room with a magnificent view of the city and the iconic Pixel Building. The outdoor rooftop infinity pool was absolutely amazing with sweeping, panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline. We also enjoyed the very rich buffet breakfast (the best hotel breakfast we had in Thailand!). All the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We definitely will go back to this wonderful hotel.

The hotel itself was beautiful and clean and had a lovely smell as you entered. Only let down was that the pool was being renovated during our stay so they offered other hotels with pools to view which we didn’t do. However, they did provide us with complimentary breakfast which was so special!! Definitely add breakfast to your stay

So this property was booked with booking.com like all the other hotels we stayed in while we were in Thailand ..! Unfortunately when we got there they told us our booking had been cancelled 😡 and it was booking.coms that had done this ..! So our rooms were not there. As there was 4 of us they made us think they were doing us a favour by giving us a room with two beds in so we took it. On returning back to the UK we found out after talking to Booking.com and following the trail it was the hotel that had cancelled our booking without telling us as they had over booked the rooms out..! So I suggest anyone who books this hotel please be very careful as the fobbed us off saying it was booking.coms issue when it wasn’t..! Would defo not stay at this hotel again ..! 😱

At the reception and the lobby the staff is there to help you or to arrange your needs - the rooftop bar service , drinks and music is low quality and very pricy at the same time - the swimming pool staff service is also not very nice , also it took them 1 hour to make a juice and bowl of fruits while the pool capacity is not so high even at rush hours. They also messed up my order For similar price I have been to the same range of hotels and the staff was more flexible and trained
