- Gregory (8/5): Short break - Stayed 4 days room always cleaned everyday and bottled water always replaced. Being an elderly couple it would have been good to have a grab rail in the bathroom for safety, unfortunately on our 1st night we used the restaurant, it took 1 hour to get our main course and a further 45 minutes to get our dessert, staff seem to be struggling. Hotel isn't cheap but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Highly recommended. If you do stay here, don’t miss the opportunity to see the seals at nearby Berck sur mer.

Our last stay was exceptional- evening of music and staff really went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great evening. Can’t recommend them highly enough!!!

- Adam (6/5): - Our stay at this Best Western was mediocre at beat. The WiFi was slow to the point of being unusable and the hotel staff were unapologetic when this was brought to their attention. The aesthetics of the room were disappointing due to the multitude of paint touch ups. Sound insulation is also poor so beware snoring from neighbouring rooms. The free electric charging (9 kW) however, was an unexpected plus.
- Susan (10/5): - This hotel is brand new and so the satnav had great difficulty in finding it, but perseverance paid off. The room was smallish but fine and the bed was really good - a rarity in French hotels! The reception was excellent and the restaurant was way beyond our expectations - lovely staff and super food. This is a really convenient stopover spot for heading to and from France via Calais.

Next door to hospital but room was completely sound proof so not a problem . Service was lovely . Highly recommended

L'hotel étant excentré pas d'autre choix que de rouler 10km. Le.personnel n'y est pour rien mais dans ce cas les clients doivent être informés...

L’absence d’un petit frigidaire en cette période de canicule aura été estompée par une climatisation efficace. Nous sommes persuadés d’y revenir.

When one has been on the road for 11 hours you don't really feel like getting back in the car to seek a restaurant.

The hotel was very clean, the rooms were spotless, all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, dinner in the evening couldn’t be faulted and breakfast the following morning was more than adequate with plenty of choice. We would definitely use again.

Convenient for the tunnel . We have booked in for the return journey but were disappointed to find out that the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday evenings.

The staff were very friendly and efficient - they also introduced us to a very pleasant local French whisky! Overall, a very pleasant break in our journey and a worthy place to revisit.

The room was large and comfortable with good size bathroom. The only small issue was the room heating was not very good and we were not able to change. The bathroom however had a nice heated towel rail.

- Paul (8/5): Issue with external cladding or windows reveals. - Well presented hotel with good size rooms and restaurant facilities. Shower is amazing and I have stayed in plenty of hotels with power showers but this is one of the best. Will strip your skin off if not too careful! Only issue I found whilst staying here over a wet and strong wind conditions was the window external reveals to our rooms needs attention as the fixings or reveals themselves are not fixed securely so bang around when hit by string winds. I didn’t get a good nights sleep whilst there. I tried closing the external shutters but that didn’t make any difference. Need the builders back to put this right. Otherwise comfortable bed and room which is good value for money. Breakfast is lovely and relaxing. Nice selection of food available. The pet two Chickens in the garden could do with some stimulation areas such as shrubs etc as shelter and just areas to scratch around. Poor things just have a hutch and small strip of land to live in. These creatures need more than supplied to have a nice existence.

- Wanderer (10/5): - Great stop en route from Calais to Mount Saint-Michel. Clean, bright and modern. Only had breakfast but restaurant did very good job at that. Even with up to date map, GPS had confusion with nearby roundabout so sent us on longer search but otherwise, easy to find!

The hotel is clean, tidy and everything works as it should. All staff go out of their way to assist. The restaurant is particularly good with a wide menu. This hotel represents great value for money.

A clean and comfortable modern hotel a short hop from the motorway. Ideal for what we wanted. - Eric Roy (8/5): Good find overall. Had difficulty finding hotel at - Lovely brand new hotel, good decor, friendly staff. Meal a little formulaic but good value. Felt that us being foreign, one of the three dining room staff were not quite so helpful: not offered nibble with our aperitif, as others were. No water offered with meal, waited a while for our dessert....nothing major, just a feeling.

- Laura (6/5): Nice new place, not enough staff. - This very clean, new facility has a nice, modern finish. I picked it based on the photos and the reputation of the chain. I’ve used them a lot in the U.K. and they are usually ok. It was a comfort stop off on our way back to the U.K. The photos were representative and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. However, there were some serious failings. I have to make it really clear that the service was very friendly and the staff were really great but there weren’t many of them. One lady was left running the reception and the bar, with a capacity for over 90 guests... still with a smile on her face. We waited a long time for a drink while others were checking in. Some other guests gave up and left in their cars, presumable for the nearby town. Later in the evening we ate in the restaurant as all other amenities are a drive away. The restaurant, which has limited opening hours, was full. The food was ok but with only 2 people waiting-on and making drinks service was very slow. To cap it off, I couldn’t even serve myself. There were 2 cups but only 1 teabag and 1 sugar sachet in the room. A challenge when making tea for 2. I only realised this at 4:30am. I made 1 cup for us to share but the tea was absolutely terrible. As we were leaving so early we missed breakfast so this simple cup of tea was quite important to us. Best Weston needs to address this cost cutting on staff and facilities as it’s not acceptable. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel for the price we paid.
- Richard (10/5): Recommended for exploring Berck and Le Touquet - A brand new hotel close to the beaches at Berck and Le Touquet. A bit out of town near the hospital on a newly developed plot, but easy to find using Google Maps. Plenty of parking. Sound wifi. We checked in late (11 pm) - no problem as we were greeted by two professional and helpful staff. Rooms were clean, well appointed and quiet. Bonus for us was BBC1 and BBC2 on the TV! Breakfast was €12 - a good selection of continental and cooked fare on offer. And at €53 for a double, Le Semaphore is great value - well positioned between B&B/budget hotels and more expensive Holiday Inn-style places etc in the area. Highly recommended
- ALAN (10/5): GREAT QUALITY HOTEL - Everything about the hotel was fabulous once we found it. The TomTom seemed to think that the hotel was in the middle of a field. We would not hesitate to stay at the hotel again!
- Graham (10/5): Great Hotel - The hotel and staff could not be faulted. Set on its own but handy for the autoroute. Our sat nav took on a tour of the local fields but it is easy to find once you know where it is. Restuarant was nice and good value, we would use it again if in the area.

Have stayed in a lot of French hotels and one of my pet hates is tasting tobacco on my lips as soon as you enter the room, however Best Western seemed to have solved this problem by hitting those who smoke in their room with a 50 euro fine. Well done Best Western! Restaurant on site as good as anywhere you'll eat in France.
