Sheets and pillows hadn’t been washed very well and had quite a bad smell. Apartment was absolutely freezing on arrival and took a long time to warm up. Apartment itself needs work and maintenance carried out. The paint is in very poor condition and damp is coming in the windows. Never met the owners which indicates how much they don’t care about this property.

- Kevin (9/5): Nice location with a wonderful host. - Location was very convenient for town access. Not so much for getting your luggage from the rental car to the property. Any personal mobility issues will be an issue. Liked everything... but one suggestion: when you're sharing a property like this with other friends, one bathroom with no ventilation doesn't work. There was no way to move the air accordingly.

Off-sight host only available restrictive hours and unusually surly when I called for assistance on entry upon check-in. Made me not want to call him when everything else important malfunctioned. We were also on the 3rd floor w/ only stairs which would have been helpful information for us as I was traveling with my older parents. Lastly, it was very hot and there were not fans or AC. The host group was great in coming by and ensuring we knew how to open the windows all the way (which we didn't know the night before) but overall didn't make it that much more comfortable. With the windows open it was also very loud which wasn't ideal for sleeping. Other than the location (which is very central) I wouldn't stay here again until they made some updates and did a deep clean.

- Teresa (10/5): Ideal central location for a short/long stay for a lone female traveller. - Had stayed in The Post House on another visit,. Apartment in Kinsale is close to shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and local amenities are all within easy walking distance. It was clean, quiet and had everything I needed in the kitchenette to self cater easily for my short stay. Enjoyed the view of Kinsale main road and harbour from my living area.

- Giulia (3/5): Odore di muffa e fritto - È in pieno centro , la posizione è ottimale L’appartamento puzza di muffa , non è pulito bene , nella finestra del bagno ci sono ragnatele e ho trovato un grosso ragno che si calava sul lavandino . La cosa peggiore però è stata l’aria irrespirabile, a parte che già con le finestre chiuse c’è odore di muffa , ma il problema è quando apri le finestre , proprio sotto le finestre c’è ip rumoroso scarico dell’aria di un grande ristorante di fish and chips , per cui c’è rumore e puzza di fritto e di scarico tutto il giorno , la notte non migliora , gli scarichi si spengono a mezzanotte , per cui prima non c’è verso né di dormire né di respirare aria decente . Onestamente non ci tornerei neanche pagata

- Debra (5/5): Kinsale was lovely but this place wasn’t! - The location. The apartment was not clean or well equipped. The windows were filthy and didn’t open to let air in….which probably was done to stop the awful smell of cooking coming in from below! Also, the double bed was so close to the wall that you were unable to get out of bed without climbing over the other person. Unfortunately the bed couldn’t be moved as the bedroom was only large enough to be a single room!

Whilst the kitchen was equipped with cooktop, stove, fridge and microwave it was difficult to make easy use of the cooking facilities as very limited selection of plates, bowls, utensils etc. drinking glasses are only plastic which we found very disappointing. Shower door didn’t shut completely so water escaped.

- Michael (8/5): June25 6 day stay - Location and quite No tea towls or dish cloth, no brush to sweep up as not cleaned during 6 night stay. Shower door and shower head both broken. Bathroom window and sill both filthy, have not been cleaned in a long time. All windows need a good cleaning. Oven was not clean. Stairs and landings need to be cleaned daily.

Lots of flies going through the external entry and in the property itself. Grossly unsuitable for letting, I’m requesting a refund.

No tea towel provided. Bedroom didn’t really fit the double bed; impossible to get round one side. One of us had to climb over the other. Broken and thus unusable washing machine. Floor not very clean- huge amount of dust under the bed.

We are both young but are allergic to dust and had to use antihistamines due to small, musty apartment with no ventilation. The cleanliness needs to be addressed.

- Alice (5/5): Great location and cafe, let down by the apartment - The location was great to explore Kinsale, and the cafe downstairs was open early for delicious morning coffees. Having the fridge was useful and it is great they are dog friendly. The room (Apartment 2) had an extremely strong smell of chip fat which really needs to be sorted before anyone else stays. The windows were coated in dirt/grime, massive cobwebs everywhere and squished bugs on walls - didn’t feel value for money.

The kitchen was poorly equipped with a few mismatched plates, etc. Also, there were not many utensils and no corkscrew. The bed was pushed against the wall, meaning my husband had to climb over me to get out of the bed.

- Mia (6/5): - Lovely location. Could be 5 star but was a bit dirty and rough around the edges. Kitchen had bare minimum with chipped plates and one pot and pan. Furniture tired, plastic chairs gave the apartment a tawdry feel. With a bit of elbow grease ( clean the baseboards etc) and a bit of money invested this could be a real gem. Toiletries looked as though they were from the dollar store. Art work found in the roadside… Kinsale was lovely and the dirt and cheap furniture was no match for the charm of this little town.
- Konstantinos (5/5): Passable - Very centrally located, decent sized. Easy contactless check-in and getting the keyes process, clear directions beforehand. Mouldy smell, not clean, felt and looked like a granny's outdated apartment. Very little sound proof. Difficult to shower as water temperature was either terribly hot or very cold. Check-in not before 4pm seems too late (dusk during winter months in Ireland!).
- Sandra (9/5): B - Fabulous location, perfect little studio very clean with everything you could ask or need. I think you need a "Mind the step' sign on the front door. The entrance from the courtyard could do with being a little cleaner, it lets down the inside of the property which is spotless. Could do with a few nice better larger matching coat hangers. And a little more cutlery and maybe an extra cup or two. Although it sleeps two we did have friends pop in for coffee and only two mugs! Short on cutlery.

- Margaret (5/5): Passable - The Location The post house is very diffucult to find as door from the street does not match the picture and as its located through the coffee shop courtyard the door is open during the day so easily missed,Ladies in coffee shop were very helpful.The apartment is very small and dark but comfortable,all surfaces and bed was clean but very dusty below the surfaces and big dirty heavy cobwebs everywhere especially the fire alarm just over the door was encased with cobwebs.Its a pity as location is good but needs a big deep clean

- Desmond (10/5): If you’re staying with family and froends, or want lots of soace for yourself, you can’t go wrong. - Excellent, property, location, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and spacious, couldn’t fault it at all! There were no negatives to the property.
- Rachel (9/5): Staying again is on my list! - The location was great, so close to everything in town and only one road over from the marina. The apartment is studio style, rather than one bedroom, but this suited me fine. The bathroom is small but functional, with a spacious shower. Check in and access were straight forward and simple. Contact with the host was clear and he stated he was available if there were any issues, though there were none. I would absolutely stay here again when I need to be in Kinsale. Some noise from other residents slamming doors upon returning in the early hours, but nothing overwhelming.

- Craig (4/5): Potential but far from good. - The unit was clean, and good location. The sofa was broken and a hazard. The seating area had one chair for the table. Microwave didn't work. Television didn't have cable channels or local TV channels, host said the services were down in Kinsale, but we couldn't find anything on the local website and a local we met at the Park said they were having no such issues. Bed was broken. Heated towel rack didn't work.

- Patsie (1/5): I read bad comments re this property but thought we would give it a chance, dont bother the attitude towards me not bein - We had 2 separate bedrooms Tv did not work, microwave did not work,9 light bulbs did not work, settee had collapsed in middle and a piece of wood held it up, washing machine had no door( they pointed out that a washing machine was not advertised )just there for show. Lots if stairs up to flat 5 with heavy suitcase, no drying up cloth, no instructions about where to put rubbish. Chair on landing had leg missing, fixed next day with plastic toy to hold it up

- Gary (8/5): Very good - I had no interaction with staff so I cannot rate that. Otherwise this was a perfect little apartment for me for a weekend away. There are chipper exhausts just outside so there is a smell of fish and chips if you open windows. But small view of harbour. For Kinsale prices this wasn’t too bad.
