• Owen (10/5): Perfect base for a stay - What a gem of a property! Central location yet quiet at night. Property was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and beds were very comfortable. We appreciated all the little touches the hosts had provided that made our stay more comfortable. Fabulous breakfast. Would highly recommend a stay here. There was nothing we didn’t like. Being British we do like our tea so a kettle would have been useful.

• Susan (10/5): Very comfortable apartment in an excellent location - The apartment was quiet. Location excellent. Very helpful that breakfast was provided as well as snacks, water and milk. Having two bathrooms was a real bonus. The kitchen was well stocked with a good coffee machine (and capsules). For tea drinkers a kettle would be good.

Propre et spacieux, il est très bien aménagé, la literie y est très confortable. Le petit déjeuner offert est varié et copieux. Il ne manque rien ! Deux atouts supplémentaires : l’appartement se situe à 5 minutes à pied de la vieille ville et il existe des emplacements gratuits dans les rues environnantes pour se garer.

• Stephen (8/5): Location excellent. Apartment large, clean and fairly well equipped - Excellent location to old city centre. Good size apartment. Modern bathroom and kitchen. Some of the plentiful breakfast food. Lots of hot water comfortable bed. Met in person by pleasant Nicola—he gave us the keys and explained the general workings of the place. No ‘view’ as windows face buildings and also let in limited light. Given the property name ‘PanAmore’, the bread supplied (3 day’s worth on arrival) was poor quality—supermarket style wrapped in plastic. Could provide more table surface area by removing ‘kitschy’ items—sometimes less is more. Curtains don’t draw well, and the loose strip carpet in front of kitchen facilities is a tripping hazard. Could use a cutting board; also a toaster so as not to use the oven grill. No on-site parking—street parking is a challenge. It’s 2-bedroom apartment not a house. The balcony is small and impractical to sit at the small table and chairs.
• Elaine (10/5): Great experience! - The breakfast items were plentiful—pastries, fresh fruits, yogurt. Location excellent—close enough to walk to the action but quiet in the neighborhood. The rugs were thin throw rugs that moved around-just pushed to the side so we seniors didn’t fall.
• Malcolm (9/5): Recommend Matera and PaneAmore - If you're wondering whether you should visit Matera, we would recommend you do. It is wonderfully scenic and full of history. We would also recommend PaneAmore. Nicola is a helpful host. The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. The location is perfect, only a few minutes walk from the station and only a few minutes walk to the edge of the old town. We're tea drinkers, would have been good to have a kettle rather than boiling water in a saucepan.

The apartment was clean and fresh, was well equipped and had a great parking spot nearby. We were well supplied with a massive selection of food items for breakfast including yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, milk, coffee and tea. Nothing. Everything was great!

• Nigel (10/5): After leaving the apartment and closing the door my wife realised she’d left a pair of diamond earrings next to the bed. - Very clean, good location, quiet bedrooms located at back of property away from the road, excellent showers, comfortable beds. Really couldn’t fault it.
• Hilary (8/5): We did enjoy our stay in Matera & apartment was well equipped. - The location was very good v near the main square in Matera. We did not really eat all the cakes etc left for breakfast as they were not to our taste, but there were plenty of other supplies in fridge. Double bathrooms were great & two large bedrooms. I thought that if there was a book with information of places to see around the area & places to eat would haver been helpful. We stayed for 6 nights & some extra towels would have been appreciated for that length of stay. Parking is very restricted very limited free parking in area, you needed to park in 24 hour car park 10 euros from midnight to midnight. an extra anti slip mat for 2nd shower would have been useful There are two flights of stairs up to the apartment with hand rails but we knew this in advance, but with limited mobility this could be difficult as no lift. Note on Sunday mornings no Bakery or Supermarket open so prepare for this in advance
• Ellen (10/5): Perfetto - Beautiful apartment, spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean. We arrived to find fresh rolls and croissants, and salami, water, milk, fruit and juice in the fridge. In a quiet area but an easy walk to the town centre and the Sassi. Great communication from hosts, who went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. Highly recommended. There was nothing we disliked. The only suggestion would be to perhaps have a small bottle of olive oil available for cooking.
• Christian (7/5): Definitely recommend to those who want a great location but don’t want to spend a fortune. - It was in a perfect location just three minutes walk from the historical centre. This is minor but it was very warm. We would have liked the air conditioning controls. A better selection of pillows and bedding. The sheets kept coming off the beds and the pillows were very hard. Traffic noise could be an issue for some.

• Peter (9/5): A very well appointed apartment with a friendly host added to our enjoyment of a delightful town - The location of the apartment is very well located, just outside the old town. Our host was very welcoming - even though airline traffic control issues had delayed our arrival by 24 hours. Fresh fruit and bread had been provided along with all that was necessary breakfast and snack items. The beds were very comfortable and all was clean and tidy. The driver transfer from Bari that our host had recommended worked perfectly We enjoyed a delightful time in Matera. Can't think of anything to improve our stay.

• Craig (10/5): Pane Amore is a modern apartment that provides all you could wish for a short stay. - Breakfast was provided including fresh fruit or cereals or croissants and provided plenty of choice for our family. The apartment is modern with all the modern and working facilities that you would expect. It is located close (5 minutes walk) to the sassi and is highly recommended for visitors to this ancient city.

It was a full apartment, with the bedroom separated from the living room/dining & cooking area. Good lighting. Quiet. Even had an oven. Matera is a magical city and this is a great apartment. Advertises as a BnB, but it is a do it yourself situation with milk, cereal, fruit, yogurt and packaged meats and cheese in the fridge, and a huge amount of highly-processed, packaged breads & snacks which tasted chemical-laden.
