- Naledi (1/5): - Nothing I booked this place on booking.Com only to arrive there and find that it was an abandoned building, looked like no one had been there in a long time looking at how unkempt the place was. I called the number they provided which was unavailable.” The number you have dialed does not exist or has changed “ you can imagine the panic as someone who is new to SA and stranded in an unknown street in Joburg with all my belongings. I felt unsafe and it was getting dark and due to that i suffered a very painful anxiety attack . I luckily was able to find a very friendly uber driver who literally drove the whole of Joburg with me helping me look for a place. I don’t even know why this place has an online presence if they are practically non existent

- Lorenzo (1/5): Bad - So I was looking for accomodation in Rosebank for the evening cos I had an early meeting in the area the following morning. As I was scrolling I came across DE Arden Guesthouse( which wasn't my first option). However I decided to proceed and book because of the rate. After booking messaged the property advising them about the booking and inquiring about the rates online. And instead of providing me with an appropriate answer to my question, then send me a booking confirmation and an automated message. A couple later still no reply I then decided to get done and make my to the property. As I was about to leave my gut said call them first. When I called and told them what happened, they just said it's not their fault and booking.com is responsible for the rates. And when I said it's not my fault either and asked if they could honor that price they said no and that they won't accomodate me. That was very unprofessional cos if you had to go into a store and purchased an item that was priced wrong they would have honored it as fault was on their side. I feel the same principle should have applied in this situation. So I'm impressed with the level of service I received from this property and will not recommended anyone to book with them. The following day I checked for accomodation again and they were advertising for the same rate. So it got me thinking how many probably booked before me because of the rate and experience the same service I did. But yeah never again. No hotwater, had 2 single beds pulled together when we requested a double bed. She left with our room key, didn't knock when we requested toilet paper. No towels were provided. Left during the night. Could not handle the stay

- Mtembu (1/5): No place like home - Nothing I added money so that we can get a room with a shower and a toilet , but the room we got had no running water , the room itself was not good for visitors , we had to walk a little distance from out room to get to the toilets and shower , when we got to the shower there was no hot water, we were only able to bath with hot water on Sunday morning only , the entire house had no iron, spoons , no plates,no cups, no glass tumblers , it was bad, don't wanna go there ever again . That place has no hospitality, the workers looked so stressed and unhappy . There was no light in our room, we could only have lights switched on if they wanted to, we had no control over switches

I arrived at night New Year’s Eve 20:00 and the place looked scary, from the minute we entered the yard nothing matched what was advertised online. Pictures are deceiving they should be changed, the place is old with old furniture in real life. Me and my partner had to go back home on a New Years eve Because the place did not match expectations and worse it was at night meaning the check in times on other bnb were closed for us to book.
