- 2000AMAZED (10/5): My trip to morrocco, Marrakech with my family - Great place to stay near all attractions and very friendly neighbourhood
People are out about late at night
Safe to walk around lol ate night
- 873ellent (10/5): The Riad Jibril is an authentic experience - The Riad Jibril is an authentic experience in the heart of Marakesh. Full of character with a calm and peaceful vibe to it.
The manager Hamza greeted us to check us in. He was very polite and welcoming. He explained on a map where we were, where the main points of interest were, and how to get back! He also explained potential scams and how to avoid them. He was always available and willing to help.
The Riad is full of character, and the rooms are clean but basic. If you like a cuppa in the morning, take a travel kettle!
The breakfast was served by Dawoud and Amina, who were also lovely and helpful and served a traditional breakfast.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay for a short break. It was a calm place to retreat to after all the chaos in the city.
- Quest12642821258 (10/5): 10/10 Riyadh - Went with my husband and kids, we absolutely loved our stay at this Riyadh. The staff were extremely helpful and the hospitality was amazing. The food was amazing cooked by our lovely chef Daoud who was always available to tend to put needs and we were also provided with his phone number so we could contact him when we needed, he catered to our timetable especially on days we arrived late after an excursion. All it all it was an unforgettable and lovely experience where we got a taste of the culture and vibe of Morocco.
- Cruiser08437604817 (6/5): Overall a pleasant stay. - I stayed at Riad Jibrill for 3 nights. Overall it was comfortable, it had what I needed for a short break. It was close to shops and restaurants, and easy access to places of interest which tourists would be interested in visiting. The staff were very helpful especially Daoud and Khalid who did their best to ensure that I was comfortable. The only negative is that breakfast could have been more varied but it was pleasant nonetheless, and the ensuite bathroom needed modernisation.
- 829ruminab (10/5): Very well - I stayed at RIAD JIBRIL for eight days the places really calm, peaceful and really nice. The stuff who works there. They’re very nice. Also the location is very easy to go outside. A special thanks to David he helped us very well.
- francoisez194 (6/5): Riad Jibril - The hotel served its purpose for us a place to sleep and shower.
We stayed 2 nights it was a good location to access the city. Daoud and Mohmed were helpful.
If you want a cheap and cheerful break then I would recommend the hotel.
- L6095ZVsabines (8/5): Great location friendly staff - Great location, very friendly staff.
I was alone and as a single woman i felt completely safe! The entrance door is locked during the night. The manager Dave is super friendly and nothing is too much.
Yes he had my phone number but that was necessary. In a riad you need eachothers phone number because of the door. Its not a hotel with 24/7 reception. No harm in Dave at all!! I have stayed there 3 times. And will come again !
- JSutherland1985 (6/5): Nice location but wouldn't recommend for solo travel or anyone with an aversion to cats. - I went away with a friend for a few days and we both had a really lovely time. The hotel is in a good location but is not sign posted and was initially pretty hard to find. Once we did it was easy to get back to and close to all local amenities. The room was clean but the bed was really hard as were the pillows. The breakfast served every morning was lovely but an important aspect to take into consideration is that you shouldn't stay here if you're allergic to cats as they have a lot. If you're a cat lover its really lovely however as they're all very cute.
The hotel manager (Dave) was initially incredibly helpful but ended up sending me a few messages that left me feeling pretty uncomfortable. I'd had to give him my phone number for booking purposes and found it a big overstep. The door was also tried in the middle of the night one night which left me feeling that I was extremely glad I wasn't travelling alone. This may have been an innocent accident but the messages the following day left me feeling uncomfortable.
All in all I would recommend this hotel as it was in a good location and came with a lot of cute cats but I wouldn't to solo females.
- natashacC964DO (6/5): Pleasant short average stay - We were supposed to stay at riad fatouma and were transferred as problems with shower. Walked through a very busy alley to riad jibril. The 2 guys that work there especially daoud were so helpful and could not have done anymore for us. The 1st thing that hit me was the smell of ammonia from the cats. The 1st room there was a problem with the door so again we moved upstairs to a bigger room. Room had no air in it also tv didnt work but we were glad to get a bed, room very clean i might add and also extra toilet roll soap and shampoo given. Breakfast was lovely on the terrace food was amazing but we were sat on the sofa so all day we smelt of ammonia so it turned us off going the next 2 days. Daoud was so good though and only for him to be honest i think i would have give it a lesser rating. Owner mohammed also said hello and was very pleasant. I did notice and the 1st thing the next morning when we were talking to other guests is everyone seemed to be transferred and also throughout the journey, just a bit strange and if so maybe anyone thats booking then just book here then so they know where they are going. Overall a pleasant stay and thank you again
- J2510ZRnickw (10/5): Extremely helpful - I stayed here after trekking in the atlas mountains Muhammad couldn't have been more helpful cant thank him enough the riad is extremely well placed for all marrakech has to offer is clean the wifi was excellent room cleaned everyday breakfast up till 10:00
- Andre1234567891 (10/5): What an amazing home to home stay!!!! - We visited for a week with family last week.
When we arrived we were greeted by ihab and daoud the first thing they said was welcome please make this your home would you like anything?
They showed us to the room.
Breakfast is great and very fast
Air conditioning worked fantastic so did the WiFi .
The room was cleaned every single morning with fresh towels.
The roof terrace at night is just amazing with comfy seating.
Now the best bits for us was there staff working there were just so nice and was amazing with our children.
They even went out to buy my little boy a birthday cake absolutely out this world.
The Riad is located in a lovely busy street with bbqs cooking and tagines the smell is amazing.
A fantastic shop selling everything next door and a 10 minute fantastic walk to the busy main square .
We are going to book the same again next month because it was so relaxing and just like home to home.
10/10 keep up the amazing work to all the staff at Riad
- 491makenziew (10/5): Very warm welcome - The hotel is basic without a pool however it is very clean and well kept and the hotel owner iheb is very friendly and helpful. He printed our boarding passes for us after forgetting to print them ourselves. Its also a 10 minute walk to the main markets and lots of food options surrounding the hotel. Would return here for how cheap it is. Happy with our experience thankyou
- Camper45776320272 (2/5): Avoid at all costs! - We were actually relocated to Riad Jibril because of an "electricity issue" with another hotel we were supposed to be staying at. Although the hotel is rated 3 stars, in reality, it is a lot less than that. The WiFi was unreliable, the TV didn't work, the breakfast was dreadful, the beds were made from wooden pallets and there were cockroaches and leaking air conditioning. If you want the experience of staying in a riad there are plenty of others out there that are rated 3 stars that are a lot better than this one. I suspect that this hotel is also used as a scam and I would advise steering well clear if this hotel is shown on any holiday website.
- R6311KNalexr (10/5): Nice place close yo the square. - We spend 5 nights in Riad Jibril, abd we were very happy and we will come back.
Nice place at 5mn walk from the square, staff very frendly, not à 5* hôtel but à clean and beautiful guest house.
They organise airport transfert & all kinds of excursions.
Thank you ihab & your staff.

- Voyager00762297389 (2/5): Horrible experience - would not recommend at all - The rooms were NOT clean contrary to other reviews. There were stains all over the bedding and we also found insects on the beds. This was after waiting 3 hours for the rooms to be cleaned on arrival. The air conditioning units were only working in 3/6 rooms that were booked and there was a sewage stench coming from them. The staff namely the on site manager Iheb got very rude and aggressive when we contacted the main owner about the issues and was reluctant to address the above issues. We ended up moving to a different hotel a few hours after arriving. He was very happy to get rid of us as he knew we weren’t going to be get a full refund! When we did apply for a refund they lied about everything. Would not recommend at all. Better off spending a bit more for a riad/ hotel with basic amenities and hygiene levels.
- 250redak (10/5): My second new home - We first booked at riad fetouma,we got there but we didn't like the room, Mohamed was there he realised that so he offered another room in riad jibril we said yes and within 5 minutes someone came to take us Which was about 10 minutes walk .
Ihab was there waiting for us such a nice guy he is, very helpful all the way through.
The location is amazing close to everything and the street itself is very busy with a lots of nice shops very nice food too.
I advise you to try the fish shop great food and very nice staff .
The breakfast at the riad is like a family home the staff are very friendly and my wife asked the girl to get her something on the last day,she went outside twice to get it and she got in the end.
Ihab I really thank you for being there for us as well as the other staff and you guys are my second home and family in Marrakech.
See you soon inchallah.
- arf1618 (10/5): A haven amongst the madness - It's the staff that make this place shine. Iheb and the team are kind, helpful, polite and funny.
The rhiad is a little haven amongst the chaos if Marrakech. The road outside is full of life and everyday people going about their business.
My son and I loved being up on the roof terrace, looking down at all the interesting stuff going on. Listening to call to prayers echo out across the old Medina roof tops in the evening is haunting, loved that too.
The main square is a short, interesting, safe walk from the rhiad, we did it at all times of day and night, no problems.
There's a cash point with a stuffed life size camel opposite the alley the rhiad is in, handy for dosh and a marker on the way home.
Iheb sorted us out with some great tours as well, they were very reasonably priced compared to some we looked at in line.
Thanks for everything Iheb and co.

- JackRhys (10/5): Fantastic place - Stayed here with my girlfriend and in-laws! Lush little riad! Every part is clean and beautifully decorated. The two lads running it are complete legends and couldn’t be more helpful or friendly if they tried. Great location for more or less anything you need or want to do! We will be coming back even if it’s just to see the real boss nomad again
- Miski21 (10/5): Our stay - As a family we had a great time at Riad Jibril. The manager was very welcoming when we arrived and we were welcomed with mint tea and our rooms were ready promptly. We stayed at this place for 19 days and the staff continued to be accommodating to all of our needs . The rooms were cleaned regularly and the manager helped us book various activities. Overall our stay was excellent and if I were to visit Marrakech again I would happily stay at Riad Jibril again.
- AMADOU (10/5): -
- amylX2045OJ (10/5): Brilliant trip - First time ever in Marrakech and also first time ever staying in a Riad - we got a taxi to the place as we have never been before so didn’t know how to use public transport, we were ripped off but we expected to be being clueless tourists
The Riad is situated up an alley, it seems to have a front opening part which is a bar that is attached but we didn’t go in there so can’t say for 100%
When we arrived there wasn’t anyone around at first but they soon appeared and got us checked in (you have to fill out a form with all of your information) got us some Moroccan tea then showed us our room.
Every room seemed to be different as we did see into someone else’s and their bed was on the floor where as ours was on a stand. Ours didn’t have a toilet door but instead just had a sheet - this being in style with a traditional Riad, wasn’t my favourite aspect but wasn’t the end of the world.
Staff were lovely and very helpful - we never got names but we saw 3 people regularly, one being I think the manager who spoke very good English, he checked us in, booked us two different day trips and sorted us a cheaper taxi back to the airport out. The young man at breakfast time was lovely, he was also the one who took us along to get picked up for our day trips, there was a language barrier but couldn’t fault how hard he was working making sure we were happy.
And the lady cleaner, again language barrier but always made sure we got what we needed.
We never had anything other than breakfast, which was great always a glass of fresh orange juice, coffee and milk, bread with jam honey spreadable cheese and I think marmalade and something else every morning, one morning we had croissants, one morning a pancake and another some kind of pastry. Very filling and nice to have a bit of a sleep in as breakfast is 8-10.
The place is super close to pretty much everything - nearly everything that is a tourist attraction costs minimum 70 dirhams just in case you are gonna visit. All lovely views and the furthest attraction was 45 minute walk which we did and it was great.
100% gonna go back again and would happily stay there again!
- widz (6/5): Average stay good location - Was initially booked for A different Riad but was moved to Riad Jibril. Didn’t like that as we were tired after a delayed flight and we didn’t argue. Place was clean. Daily tidying. Staffs were quiet and helpful when asked especially in the restaurant area. Stay was fine apart from one night when too loud chatting was going on till 1 pm. The room are smaller than traveloge size and the window open up to the sittting square so no privacy. The bath and toilet didn’t have door but a curtain and our tv wasn’t working which we didn’t bother as we were practically out every day. Good location, can walk easily to the souk and other attractions inside Marrakesh. Temperature weather were ideal at start of April didn’t have to use the aircon. Not much choice for food despite having a whole list on the menu. WiFi wasn’t accessible from our room.
A bientôt Inchalla
