• James (1/5): - There is nothing about this place to like, its essentially a halfway house masquerading as budget accommodation. Everything, I paid for a 'queen room' which looked reasonable in the imagery online but ended up with a double bed that was a worn out mattress (i could feel the springs just sitting on it) and a dual zone futon type (looked more like a roof rack) frame. I asked to swap rooms, as per what I had booked and was told I would have to pay extra. When I raised a maintenance issue with the owner, he complained about being too busy and told me to go find the maintenance person. There is a 'curfew' that noone followed, often making noise well past midnight almost every night. Upon arrival, there was a towel (about the size of a bath mat) strategically placed on the bed to cover 2 very obvious stains on the doona cover. The 2 pillows together were about the thickness of a folded towel. Once I had paid for the 'non-refundable booking, I received a message telling me essentially not to expect quality and featured the words, to effect, 'Karen's will not like it here'.

There was an air-conditioning outlet but the system wasn't operating; that I could have accepted given the cost, but all of the window winder handles were missing. The windows on the east side were set in a slightly open position, but the western window (which would have allowed a cross-draught) was fixed in a fully-closed position.

• Daniel (1/5): booking.com and this place stole my $50. homeless but who cares - they took my money and didn’t bother to let me check in. i booked it close to midnight and was told i should’ve been there earlier than the time i made the booking the following day. i’m homeless and rather than have my $50 for food or accommodation, these fat cats keep it.

• Jayden (1/5): Terrible experience, avoid at all costs. Manager/owner extremely unpleasant. - I didn’t have to stay long Pods are not private, basically just bunk beds. Go to a hostel instead, it will have better facilities.

• Deanne (5/5): - It was the only property available within my price range for the night I needed to book and was close to pubic transport My family was affected by the flood disaster in Wye River and I had been asked to mind my grandaughter on the same night I had booked. I missed the free cancellation deadline by 1 hour and 10minutes, due to the timing of making the family arrangements. The cancellation was made at that time (1:09am) but a refund was refused. Even a half refund would have been acceptable. I also had trouble cancelling the booking and continued to receive notices about my upcoming stay.

• Barrie (7/5): Reasonably priced, great location. - Great location and reasonable price located walking distance from most places we planned to go when our initial accomodation fell through The door code hadn't arrived by the time we arrived and the room wasn't quite ready. Staff were very accommodating and friendly and made us comfortable while we waited to drop our bags.
• Nicholas (7/5): - Excellent location. Fair amenity all to the details outline in the booking pages so there were no surprises or hidden information. I was particularly pleased to have a lower level pod as I feel the top level may have been a little tricky to get in and out of.
• Natalie (8/5): I enjoyed it. My pod was fine, bedding/towel was clean and fresh, I slept well and found it to be quite cosy! Manage - I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The pod was fully functioning and the bedding was clean and smelt fresh. The bathrooms and toilet were wonderful and the house was always very clean. The manager was helpful and accommodating too. I did suggest the addition of hand towels in the bathrooms. The buttons in my friends pod weren’t all working and there were some marks/stains on the curtains of some of the pods. It also doesn’t help if others’ personal hygiene is poor as the pod room can become a bit smelly.

• Luke (9/5): Cosy, clean and plenty to do in the area! - A lovely place to stay on a budget. Plenty of parking in the area and about a 10 minute walk to the closest shopping centre. The rooms are a bit older as well as the furniture but for the price it really is good value for money! The house is kept clean daily and the water pressure in the shower is fantastic! If you are looking for a place to stay on a shoestring budget I would definitely recommend!

• Samuel (4/5): Do not come here if you’re a female traveler, as a guy you’re probably fine - Central location, easily accessible to other places If you’re a female traveler do not come here! It’s halfway house that should not be on and booking platform. My girlfriend felt uncomfortable during the whole stay. There’s some shady guys staying here. The price is wayyy too expensive for that place.

We were met by a very unhygienic man who let us in to the house - the house looked really bad from the outside. Once we got in and open led the door of our room, we looked at the bed and turned and left. We actually couldn’t stay in it. • J (1/5): Cheap but most definitely not cheerful - Fairly close to the railway station. In a residential street. Check in process was easy. Almost evey thing. I actually left before sleeping there. As a 70 year old single female traveller I left this place within 2 hours of arrival, as soon as I could book elsewhere! I have never done this before. This place felt unsafe to me. This was a converted home, more like a hostel or half way house. My room ( which was a cheap double with no ensuite) was on the ground floor. It had a huge window with no privacy from the street. I had to pull the blind and switch on the light. The bed had no headboard and just one aging towel. Another apparently used towel hung in the wardrobe. There was a simple,small table and chair. Nothing else. No bedside shelf or lamp no rug on the tiled floor. The lock felt flimsy The communal kitchen had tea and coffee and powdered milk. But was cluttered and overcrowded. The toilet led straight off the kitchen. This property was cheap but not cheerful. Possibly ok for backpackers.

Throughout the night there is constant noise from other tenants, this was amplified by my bedroom door being right next to the front door even though an upstairs room was requested.

• Joey (3/5): Poor - 20$ for this, 20$ for that, if you want a heater you have to pay. If you want to check out later than 10am you have to pay, bringing anyone over? You have to pay. rock solid spring bed, about 20 different fees that need to be paid if you want a normal experience. About an inch gap under the door and paper thin walls. You'll be woken up at early and have barely any privacy.
• L (2/5): Very poor - Location. Sub host was pleasant and helpful. Bedding was clean. Room was clean.. Extremely basic. Uncomfortable bed. Furnishing in room very cheap eg. a trestle table. You can feel the springs in the mattress. Not even a bedside table.

• Isabelle (2/5): - The room was very ordinary. Lack of blankets so I had put all my clothes on and was still freezing all night. And on top of that people making noises until 3AM. Even with ear plugs I only slept a couple of hours. Towel had a stain and was torn . No tiolet paper. Never again

Pod squeaked with every small motion, making it difficult to sleep. Other guests did not observe stated quiet hours. Desk light outside pod had to remain on all night and pod curtains were not nearly adequate at blocking it out; it was effectively like sleeping in early evening light.

• Krzysztof (2/5): Very poor - The biggest problem of this property is the housekeeper, a man with serious emotional problem loud and Reese. He started his day with drinking scan of bourbon/coke and continued during the day. He mocked the accent of a nice Vietnamese cleaner saying” i want fried chicken please “. He was trying to involved guest in discussions promoting his conspiracy theories about a war in Ukraine or Trumps tariffs. In the evening until approximately 12 pm he was watching TV setting the volume very loud. I stayed in the property for several nights and after checking out , even that there is no formal reception, i moved my bags of the room/pod and left them in the lobby. Following i stayed for 1-2 hrs in a common room , not disturbing anyone, watching the behaviour of the housekeeper with disbelief. Today I received a message from the owner Frank telling me that if stay after check out again i will be charged 10 dollars per hours. Please stay away from this place. As above

• Castro (6/5): Pleasant - the pod had such limited space and u could hear every movement from everyone. but overall, it was okay for a $50+ stay. the staff was also very accommodating and nice. it was clean and okay for a one night stay

• Cooke (8/5): Suitable for an overnight stay - The pods offer a level of privacy not seen in most hostel accommodation. I think 6 pods was enough for the area that was available, and we didn't really see or disturb each other. Most snoring can be drowned out by switching on the air circulation fan. There were 4 mains outlets, which was good. The USB ports didn't appear to work. When in the bottom pod and someone needs to get into the upper pod, quite often it makes the whole structure shake to an unacceptable degree. The upper pod should be anchored in such a way it does not affect the bottom or nearby pods. At one point I thought I had locked myself in the toilet. Someone helped me get out quick enough though.
• Daniel (8/5): As advertised - Pods were loud to get in and out of. Limited room at 6.2 feet I just fit. Usb sockets damaged. Did find power board under matress till I was leaving.
• Ben (1/5): Bad - The owner is completely disorganized, waking me up thinking I was checking out a day early. Attempting to make the excuse that I had rebooked for the following week for 4 more days. The owner “Frank” or Qing Feng Chan is incredibly disrespectful and disorganized towards guests. The manager and cleaning staff are wonderful on a day to day basis. Helping and taking care of every need, ensuring the house is cleaned and in order.
