• Alejandro (9/5): Best place I've stayed. Hands down. - Easily one of the cleanest and best places I’ve ever stayed. Kyoko-san is very welcoming and lives in the house herself, so she’s always available if needed. I love animals, and I really enjoyed having breakfast outside with the ones she’s raising. My room was next to the chicken house, so they woke me up around 5am. I personally didn’t mind, but if you’re not an early riser, you should keep this in mind. Also, she has a dog and cats in the house, so be careful if you have allergies. This detail wasn’t mentioned in the stay information. It's a bit separated from the town so you'll definitely need a bycicle or a car.

• Poe (10/5): I had been looking forward to this trip for months, and Gufo no Mori made it the best trip I’ve ever taken in Japan. - Everything. I liked everything about this place. This property is well maintained. It’s clean, bright, new but rustic. The owner is family. The animals are friendly! This is a beautiful place to stay.

• Lynn (10/5): - We loved our stay! This was perhaps the most thoughtfully designed house I’ve stayed in. For example, a bathroom with a seat and grab bar (great for anyone sore after a long day, not just seniors); a compact drying rack that somehow fits a full load of laundry; subtle black-cat decor that adds a cute touch but doesn’t clash with the wooden farmhouse aesthetic. Our favourite part of our stay was interacting with Kyoko-san, who runs the place solo yet is always cheerful and available when you need her! We enjoyed our chats with her and she gives the best recommendations for what to do in Furano! And the animals! Moon-chan, the resident dog, greeted us each morning and evening, and the property has chickens, a donkey, a goat, and even an owl. A memorable, feel-good stay from start to finish.

• Melissa (8/5): A comfortable and homey stay - The rooms were quite spacious and had a heater that made for a good sleep. The place had a very comfortable living area, with a very stocked kitchen and lots of area to prep and cook. The home onsen was super comfortable and warm, especially in the winter. Loved seeing the animals (goats, pony and chickens)! There were no staff that greeted us, nor were the owners of the farm home when we stayed. We happened to be the only people who stayed at the accomodation, which was a little unnerving to my partner that there was nobody else. Note you'll need to drive to this accomodation.

I loved the many common areas, especially the little room with windows looking out into the countryside. I loved the full kitchen, the many clean toilets and shower/tub options. The location is quiet and the sky was full of stars. This is a special place with a caring and helpful host.

It is a shared facility so it can get noisy with other guests talking, closing doors, walking. Recommend ear plugs. Bunked bed mattressea are thin and uncomfortable.

• Lee (9/5): Wonderful time! - Next to rice plantation ! Peaceful place. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with lots of utensils . The supermarket is a short drive away . Towel racks or hooks in shower to hang clothes .

Unfortunately when our flights were delayed the owner stated they could not give us a refund for the two nights we would miss due to the place being fully booked. When we arrived we were the only room there in a place with 22 rooms and the following night one other group arrive for a total of 2 rooms out of 22 being used. I wish they had been more honest and just said they did not want to give us a refund instead of lieing . There being no one there was actually the best part because of the place had been fully booked it would have been horrible as there is a limited common area and the bathrooms and kitchen would have been inadequate for that many people. All in all I would recommend this place if you want to take the risk not many people will be there.

I was staying with my family members and they also love the environment. The kitchen and the dining room is big enough to cater our family of 8. We cooked our own breakfast in the big kitchen and had a great time! Also love that the hosts have a little farm with goats and horse in. Their dog, Moon is also a very gentle and good boy. Will definitely come again if we visit Furano again!

• SUNGHYUN (4/5): A bad manage! - This hotel was an unpleasant place to stay. when we arrive there at 3 am from airport, found a note with a room key. We fell asleep not taking shower though, the next morning she(the manager) inhibited my husband from taking shower due to late morning already. However the check out was 10 am through. The worst thing happened next, she blamed me for not checking in and then ordered me to check in rudely.
