Guest Reviews
- Hemant (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalia (9/5): Superb - The location of the boat is very convenient. And close to attractions. Good breakfasts. Very hospitable hostess. We will be happy to return again.
- Lewis (1/5): In Pain for Weeks After Stay - They seemed nice people in person. It was an experience to sleep on a boat. I tripped on a bar that wasn't marked. The man tried to stop me from falling, but in doing so, probably made things worse - not his fault. My shins are still bruised weeks later, still a big hematoma, but worse than that, I haven't been able to work since because it caused a neck injury - whiplash thing. I've been on very strong painkillers since - agony in neck, shoulder and arm. I've been to hospital twice. I messaged to tell them this, so they would mark the bars to prevent others doing the same. But I didn't even get a response, which I found very disappointing - perhaps they were afraid I'd sue them. I'm not after anything other than a promise they try to prevent this happening to others. It's one of those things. I hope they read this and cordon the bar off - they marked one with red and white tape but not this one, but even this isn't great at night. It might be a freak accident, but I'm 43 and quite fit. Imagine this happening to an older person.
- Ashley87 (10/5): A very pleasant experience - The boat was super calm, the host very friendly and the breakfast was to die for 😃 We thought that our beds would be made at least once during our 5 days stay, and the towels changed.
- Kadie (8/5): Great little find, short walk into the centre of Amsterdam. Lovely staff. - The staff were lovely, all very friendly and welcoming. Made us feel at ease. Was very noisy, I think because we had the room at the front when people were up at 6am it was almost like they were in our room, the walls are very thin.
- Seyed (6/5): Pleasant - Nice staff. The rooms weren’t that clean, there were hair in shower, rooms were small as predicted but part of the bed was under the half roof. I couldn’t sleep both nights as I was frightened that I will bang my head to it!
Location was not good, it was 15 -20 minutes walk from any supermarket or metro station!
- Amy (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good Our room got condensation throughout the night which would then drip down the walls so I woke up with wet feet
- Hernán (8/5): Friendly staff, good place for resting a couple of days - Friendly staff A bit tight
- Wright (8/5): We had overall an enjoyable enjoyable experience. Thank you. - We really liked the location. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was okay. Rooms are very small. The bed was too firm for us. The staff did attempt to accommodate with an additional mattress cover.
- Catherine (9/5): Staff are very helpful, Agnes and Sylvia have been very helpful. Thank-you - Easy access from Amsterdam central None
- Justin (8/5): Very good - I liked location,so close to the heart of the Dam.
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (9/5): Great hosts and fantastic central location. - Excellent location
- Nicky (9/5): Superb - Location helpful staff and very good breakfast....
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. 20 minute walk from central station. Room was small but comfortable and very clean. The lobby/ breakfast area has a coffee machine that will make every kind of coffee and is always accessible. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Romek is an excellent host and will help you with whatever you need. Honestly, he made the stay there extra special for us . Thank you Romek!!
- Kelci (10/5): Exceptional - I liked the uniqueness of the stay. I also LOVED the crew. They were kind, helpful, and very hospitable. They made our trip to Amsterdam more fun. The rooms could use a pillow upgrade (we had two in the room, one was great but the second was very thin and flat).
- Nanna (8/5): Very good - a pleasant stay on a boat, a good fit with Amsterdam as a location initially we were a bit lost because we reserved a stay at boat Allure but it was not around. Luckily we had received a message that we would need to cross the boat Sarah to get there. We then ended up staying on Sarah (I assume as good).
- Ornstein (7/5): Really enjoyable for sightseeing and exploring Amsterdam, fun thing to do with older kids and teenagers. - It’s Location! Was great, central area in city. Boat was kept very clean and tidy by Kristof/ manager, and it was always well stocked with complimentary coffee/ hot chocolate. Super basic accomodation- thin narrow beds, cramped rooms, very old fashioned basic bathroom but
- Luke (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (7/5): Affordable rooms in Central Amsterdam. - Kristoff was very helpful and tolerant of guests forgetting how to use the key to get into the boat. Room was very small with little space to store bags or hang clothes.
- Vladimir (10/5): Perfect -
- Luka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tegan (10/5): Exceptional - I loved staying on a boat, it was a really wholesome vibe and breakfast was great. My favourite part of the stay was Romek, who was a really lovely host!
- Pin-hsuan (9/5): Superb - Breakfast is perfect, we stay for two nights and had different breakfast, which was not expected. And the owner of the hotel is very nice and helps a lot with our stroller.
- Aline (8/5): Great location, friendly staff and nice breakfast - The location was excellent, only a short walk to restaurants, cafes and bars and also close to Amsterdam's main train station. The breakfast was good too (also vegetarian friendly and fresh vegetables and fruit) and the staff very friendly and helpful. It was also very quiet at night. As it would be expected on a boat the room and the bathroom are very small.
- Hubert (8/5): - We spent 2 nights at the Allure. The boat's location is perfect for visiting the beautiful streets of Amsterdam.
The breakfast is very good and the host very friendly.
The room we had was very small and the bathroom tiny.
Any large person would have problem entering the bathroom. Despite the tight quarters I slept very well in the Allure. The boat is not a comfortable hotel room but one can find many things to like there.
- Faisal (10/5): Thank you Christopher - Christopher is friendly & warm person. He is very professional & skilful in his job, especially when he is handling everything alone. Thank you for the great experience staying on the boat in the heart of Amsterdam. THANK YOU FOR THE BREAKFAST Christopher. He deserves a raise. The condensation from the rusty part of the window.
- Richard (9/5): Anniversary trip - Christopher very friendly and accommodating, always on call, and sorted out a small problem with our radiator promptly. Very nice continental breakfast, and free hot drinks whenever you fancied them. Cabins two beds, shower, toilet, small but perfect for our needs, obviously would say with proximity to water, you would have to be careful with little one's. Location only a 10 minute walk away from the middle of the city. Would stay again, if I was to return. N/A
- Eleanor (10/5): Amazing we will be back - Nothing to complain about and Chistoff did everything to accommodate us highly recommend Nothing.
- Mathilde (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (9/5): Great location, great staff, great breakfast. Ideal for a couple of days in Ansterdam. - Agnes, who manages the place, couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. She really made our stay.
Great location - 10 mins walk from the station.
Lovely buffet breakfast. Lounge area to chill in the evening after a day of exploring the city.
Very laid back ambiance. Some nice chats with other guests. And staying on a boat is quirky and fun! Staying on a boat means your room is a small cabin. We knew this in advance, but the lack of space may not suit everyone - although you can chill in the lounge/dining area. I did repeatedly bang my head!
- Veronika (8/5): Unexpectedly nice and comfort stay and lovely staff - We really enjoyed the fact that the space was used to its maximum meaning that there were many hangers and shelves to put your stuff. The location was also excellent such as the staff that was preparing for us rich breakfast and letting us yummys snacks all day. A lot of humidity that you feel to the bone (ok you stay at a hotel boat) and the fact that due to the humidity our towels couldn’t get dry. To mention that the towels were not changed every day but I guess it’s something you can arrange after an agreement with the staff.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paolo (8/5): - Many thanks all staff, Agnese is very kind
- Mahmoud (7/5): Good -
- Robhall_ie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eva (8/5): Very good - Unique experience, accommodating staff, great breakfast Listing did not state check-in time resulting in some mis-understanding, cabins are very small
- Pierre (10/5): super nice, really nice owners and crew. loved it. - everything nothing
- Paige (10/5): Exceptional -
- Moises (9/5): totally recommended. - the personnel and the experience. a boat is something “new” could be bigger, but I think it is part of the experience
- Mahendra (8/5): Very good -
- Bunn (8/5): Very good -
- Kathy (10/5): - We had a great stay and our host was great. Breakfast fantastic. Walking distance to city center
- Eric (8/5): - Original, bien situe
- Carlota (9/5): Superb -
- Mariya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mejohn (10/5): Exceptional - Great location near Centraal Station, and Kristoff was very welcoming and kind! Breakfast was delicious, and we had a great weekend on the Allure.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Great location near train station, many choices for breakfast, 24h coffee machine and free snacks, cute room small but comfortable, friendly staff, nice experience Everything was great
- Wanda (7/5): great stay. would recommend if you are into staying on a boat and having a great nights sleep. breakfast was great and - location and price on the water.
- Edward (8/5): Boat stay - Great friendly staff. Romlek is the man! U can hear a lot of noise at times if people are talking loud. I didn't realize how small the rooms were but it's was fine more or less. Overall I was happy.
- Vestina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bruno (10/5): great experience - very friendly owner, great outside and inside areas, comfortable room with private bathroom and amazing breakfast, better than many hotels.
- A D (10/5): - It was our first time on a Hotel boat and it lived up to it's uniqueness.
Staff were welcoming and fab. Special shout out to Romek who was a true gent. He makes a great breakfast too.
- Perezbravovicki (10/5): Best way to enjoy Amsterdam. - If you are planning to go to Amsterdam, staying here will only make the experience better.
First of all, the location is great, everything is at a walking distance. The neighborhood is centric, but quiet and safe.
Second of all, the boat is beautiful, clean and comfortable. And the breakfast ... Oh my god! So good and complete, and with lovely views of the city. You couldn´t ask for anything else.
Last but not least: the staff. Wonderful, fun and kind people always willing to help you with whatever you need. Agnes and Kristoff have made us feel more than welcomed in this amazing city. Hats off to you!
The best way to enjoy Amsterdam is to stay at Hotelboat Allure. If I were to visit the city in the future, I would definitely stay here again. I have nothing negative to say.
- Riley (10/5): Exceptional -
- diane (10/5): - Très chouette façon de loger à Amsterdam. La gentillesse et générosité de capitaine à bord nous a vraiment impressionné.
- Gerald (8/5): Very nice - Very good. Friendly staff, Romek, very good and sincere man. Very good coffee. Good breakfast. Good shower. Would like bigger/longer blankets(dekbed).
No power socket suitable for charging your phone. Need a small container mounted on the wall or something.
- Oisin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Manon (7/5): Good -
- Alfredo (10/5): Happy new year! Celebrating on board is priceless thanks! - The international breakfast was satisfactory, the crew very helpful and welcoming. The accommodation is located near the Nemo Museum, 10 minutes from the central station and Dam square. The rooms are small but efficient, equipped with private bathroom.
- Marc (9/5): host Agnes was very helpful and welcoming. - staying on a boat for a change was nice, great experience,
- Victor (10/5): awesome!!! - everything was amazing!!!! thanks to Agnes for the great welcoming! amazing breakfast and coffee
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional - It was just so cute to stay on a boat. The community room was open and inviting with coffee included. The rooms were small but had a bath with good shower and tiny windows. The beds were very comfortable. Agnus was a delightful host and made us feel so good!
- Newnobleman (7/5): Good, but for what had to pay, thought expensive as not much choice available - The guy, Romero was very helpfull. As far as I know did everything. Breakfast was very good, constantly replaced any shortages. Good sitting area and any breakfast left overs were left for snacks later with a good drinks free vending machine. TV not used, WiFi intermittent. Cabin, bed, wardrobe and shower room, cosy, that's it! December visit, so not at its best. WiFi and TV working
- Mags (9/5): comfortable and cosy with great breakfast - unique and quirky
- Ghatak (8/5): Clean rooms and friendly staff - good accessibility. clean and nice common room the toilet was quite congested.
- Hazel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eleni (9/5): everything was perfect and the staff was very nice!! I ll go again for sure!!! -

- Tasha (10/5): - Agnes was an amazing host! She was so helpful and accommodating! The boat was perfectly clean and the breakfast was more than enough to keep you adventuring all morning long. Would recommend this boat and stay to anyone.
- Ferdinand (10/5): i’d love to come back in the near future… - over all agnes -the good soul on the boat- was courteous, very friendly and willing to help. everything on the boat was neat and well looked after. outstanding also the breakfast buffet… if you usually love to take a walk in your hotelroom please note that this is not possible on a boatel…
- Linda (9/5): Clean, comfortable, unique stay! - Unique environment being on the boat. Great location near Centraal Station. Boat didn’t move at all. Great breakfast. A bit of a walk to the city center
- Stefanie (8/5): Cosy and clean - The location was very central, the crew very friendly, breakfast was good (nothing too special but good value for money), the rooms were cosy and the matrasses were hard (as we like them) you could come and go as you liked. The bath towels were very soft and the water to shower was hot. The bathroom was maybe a bit too small and too bad the bath towels were not changed during our 2 nights stay.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - lovely staff and Agnes super Nice 👌🏼
- Laurence (9/5): Great place. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Rooms are tiny but very cosy and clean. -
- Adriana.84 (7/5): Good - Breakfast very rich and the guys very kind Maybe a bit expensive...
- Federica (10/5): Everything was amazing. From the staff, to the location, to cleanness and the huge and amazing breakfast. We stayed 2 ni - Location and friendly staff ☺️
- Beverley (8/5): great value fab staff ! - Great Location and friendly staff nothing really - although a double socket would have been more handy for phone charging etc & did get a little to hot in the rooms but turned off radiator and left windows open !

とても快適でした。冬のシーズンしか楽しめないボートステイはとても良い経験になりました。朝食ももても美味しかったです。スタッフの方々の温かい接客に感謝します。
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very enjoyable to stay on this lovely canal boat hotel. Excellent friendly service!
- bachet (6/5): À faire - Pas d’eau froide donc douche impossible pas de prise électrique fonctionnelle dans la cabine. Nuit agréable malgré cela et petit déjeuner très copieux
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The boat was lovely. Very cosy and comfortable. Hot water for a shower which was well needed after being caught in storm Ciara. Breakfast was well worth waking up for. Quite basic so don't expect luxury but more than adequate and absolutely enjoyable.
- Melissa (10/5): At stay! - The stay was great! It was fun to stay in a houseboat. The interior of the room was simple but exactly what we needed. The host was so friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious! It was in a great location and very close to Central Station and the heart of Amsterdam.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a lovely boat in a great location. We were made to feel like welcome guests from the moment we arrived. The saloon was spacious & we could use it anytime day & night. Hot drinks were available 24/7 & there was a mini bar for a modest fee. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The cabins were very clean & comfortable with enough storage space for 2 people.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Overnight stay - December 2019 - Great host, welcoming facilities - fully recommend
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Hotelboat Allure is an excellent place to stay in Amsterdam if you want to be close to the city and have an enjoyable, unique hotel experience. We were able to easily walk to the dock from the train station with our luggage. With it being docked in a central location, we had no trouble finding the boat. Once we arrived, Kris carried our luggage up the gangway, showed us to our room, and gave us a description of the basic amenities he had available. Our room was one of ten and was small but functional with a comfortable, clean bed and it's own private bathroom. In the main dining area there is always coffee and tea available with fresh fruit, cold pop and water, and often other goodies. Kris cooked breakfasts are prepared from early in the morning and catered to individual needs and requests. Food was varied, fresh and tasty. Kris was always around to visit with guests, answer questions, maintain a tidy welcoming atmosphere, and generally ensure we enjoyed our visit. We would definitely stay here again as it was a great way to meet people from all over the world who were into staying in a fun, different type of accommodation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff on the boat were wonderful. They were friendly and helpfull.
- richard (10/5): - An amazing experience. The first time we stayed on this boat and we will rebook for sure next trip to Amsterdam. Clean rooms, fantastic breakfast, coffee tea biscuits all the day and Romek was amazing. For the next time.
- Jane (10/5): - Great host - very friendly
Warm and cosy boat
Good breakfast
