- Saadi (4/5): not recommend - I stayed here for two nights, but the experience was very disappointing. The 6:00 PM check-in time is far too late; I was forced to wait on the street for five hours in the rain because there was no one available to store my luggage. The noise levels made it impossible to rest. the first night the resturant is closed and no noise so i went to bed around 10Pm and sleep , Around 11:30 AM, restaurant staff came and begon moving equipment and speaking very loudly, which kept me awake. On the second night, while the restaurant was quiet during business hours, the staff began talking loudly again after closing. Because there is zero sound insulation, the noise traveled directly into my room, and I wasn't able to sleep until after midnight. Being alone and exhausted, this made for a very uncomfortable stay. no isolated and too much noise and location is not good

When I pointed out their error and gave them a chance to apologize, the staff was extremely rude, refused to check their own documents, and simply blamed Booking.com. They are irresponsible and disrespectful.

- Clara (8/5): - Nous avions la chambre en rez-de-chaussée avec une entrée indépendante et une salle de bain privative. Les équipements sont suffisants et nous avions des boissons offertes dans le frigo. Situé un peu loin de la gare (le taxi est la meilleure option) mais à proximité à pieds des lieux touristiques. Je précise tout de même que la chambre est collée au restaurant, il ne ferme pas trop tard mais nous entendions tout de même les clients et la musique jusqu’à 22h environ.

- Perri (9/5): Superb - Was nice to stay somewhere different than your typical hotel room and to experience a ryokan. Location was great once we oriented ourselves. Easy walk to the castle grounds and the Higashi Gaya district. Only 3 rooms upstairs and once we checked in we didn’t see any staff so we were free to come and go as we pleased. Amenities were clean and sleeping mats very comfortable. Free wifi in the room was helpful. Family Mart for morning coffee only a 10 minute walk away. Air conditioning unit cooled the room down quickly- a necessity as we visited in August and heat was intense! Wish there was a kettle in the room.

Local castle and its gardens in walkable distances. Room and shared areas were clean. Tatami mat in the room made cool extra. Food in restaurant in downstairs good and affortable. The toilet and shower are shared with two other rooms, but we were the only guests when there, so not a problem. In the evening, the service in the restaurant was very slow, but Ithink that was due to a new inexperienced waitress. The stairs up to the rooms are very steep and winding, so not suitable for anyone with mobility problems.

The room size is ok, not enough space to empty you bag though so stay packed. The bathroom/shower is communal.

- Suzanne (6/5): Quiet location near to Castle - This ryokan inn is very traditional. A narrow and steep stairway leads from the dining area up to the rooms. The location is near to the Castle but not convenient if you want to be close to restaurants and shops. We would have preferred to be in a location within walking distance from the railway station. Communication with hosts was not easy and we did not know that we had to pre-order breakfast. We were also told not to walk in dining area without slippers. Oops! We would not stay here again!
