- Suzanne (1/5): Disappointing, vastly overrated, poor cleanliness - terrible customer service. - Good location. Very poor value for money. Property was ranked 9/10 on booking.com and did not meet this standard on any level.
Property was not finished in terms of decor with doorways unplastered and unpainted. Rough wood throughout. Bare plasterboard visible on main living area. No luxury finish.
Property was not clean. All living area surfaces were in need of deep clean. Drink marks, scum and dust throughout property upon surfaces. We had to wash and clean all utensils and dishes before use including placemats.
Every light fitting in living area had cobwebs.
Pealing paint and multiple damp patches on main living room ceiling. Clearly not a new issue that hadn’t been resolved or any attempt made to repair/cover.
External window ledges were so dirty that it was not pleasant to have them open. Clearly had never been cleaned in months.
No toiletries or cleaning products provided as per description in listing.
Outdoor area also very disappointing. Seating portrayed as being relaxing area looking into main water views when in reality it is in middle of main use car park. Bbq was also unusable as filthy. As a result we chose not to sit outdoors here.
Two of the four toilet seats were not fixed to the pedestal properly and in one en-suite the rail holding the shower was falling off. Bathrooms overall were not in great repair.
Bathroom door was showing extreme signs of dampness (historical?)
Drawers in Sutherland room were unusable as falling apart. TVs we’re thick with dust. Even toilet roll holders had thin layer of dust.
We had asked for an early entry (3pm rather than 4pm) and were told this would only be possible after a full clean had taken place (vacated at 10am). Clearly whoever is cleaning does not look at any surfaces.
Regardless the property is in dire need of deep clean. It is not a luxury property and from an advertising perspective is misleading. From a value perspective it is vastly overpriced.
