- Shamima (10/5): You should 100% stay here - you won't regret it - I loved staying in the heart of the bukchon village and the traditional feel this place had. There are so many coffee spots and gorgeous gift shops around. The traditional beds were incredibly comfortable and the kitchen was perfect to make yourself a coffee in the morning.

- Duccio (8/5): A great experience in a traditional korean house! - Great location, nice staff
- Vanessa (8/5): - This traditional inn offers minimalism but lots of history. The room was clean and the property well located. If you don't know what you're getting into, you may be upset by the small size of the room and bathroom. Please do your research!
- Maria (10/5): -
- Gianna (10/5): - Il futon e pavimento riscaldato Un po' distante dalla metropolitana

- Loon Ihyeon (10/5): Classic Hanok, near bukchon hanok village - Its so beautiful place, I loved to stay.
And host was so kind.
If you want to feel classic Korean style hanok,
I recommend you ✈︎ 🇰🇷
- Megan (10/5): This hanok/stay is inspiring my dream house… - Love the heated floors and traditional hanok!! Patrick was so responsive!! Everything is super clean and there’s hot water in the shared kitchen, which made the snowy nights really cozy:)

- Julia (10/5): Beautiful hanok in stunning surroundings - The Hanok was so beautiful and a totally new experience to me. I enjoyed the calm a lot after other hotels during my stay in Seoul, Seoul can be visually demanding and loud at times so Bukchonae was totally relaxing and nice. The owners are just sweethearts and helpful The floor heating was nice but maybe little bit too much at night
- Branden (10/5): Fantastic overall! - Fantastic area, historic and charming. 5mm walk to metro station.

- Teresita (10/5): I loved everything about experiencing a traditional stay. Host Patrick was very helpful, even meeting me somewhere in th - Excellently located in a quiet path at Bukchon, a mix of old and new, trendy and traditional neighborhood. All good
- Esperanza (10/5): -
- Anna (6/5): - Ottima posizione e ottimi servizi.
- grazia (10/5): -

- Kelvin (9/5): Wonderful stay in a traditional hanok, In a great location - The Hanok is in a perfect location, tucked away down an alley that is very picturesque. The room was comfortably sized with everything we needed. A communal kitchenette allowed us to get water, or even prepare food if necessary. The host was very responsive, kindly allowing us to check in slightly earlier which helped us make our free walking tour on time - thanks Patrick!
- Marco Zanzi (7/5): -
- Giulia Daria (9/5): - The location is absolutely great, taking a walk around the place is truly amazing. It was not totally easy to access and you are quite exposed to other guests sounds, but the place is beautiful and I would suggest it. There's also a kitchen for any necessity.
- Fabio (5/5): Overpriced - Quiet location with a nice traditional façade. Overpriced. Very basic tight room. No separation between the two tatami mats as there was no room for that. No common area other than a small kitchen. Didn´t have umbrellas for guests on rainy days which we found even in much cheaper accommodations in Korea. A bit of a walk to the metro which can be particularly challenging on rainy days.
- Kristopher (8/5): Very good -
- Ham (10/5): Exceptional - The person checking us in was so nice and ample communication throughout.
- Giadina_1988 (10/5): A dreamy stay in the heart of Seul - Patrick is incredibly nice and kind, and the place is a dream. I slept well, and the AC was a blast. Nothing, all was very good.
- Ilaria (10/5): Perfect location and atmosphere. The host was very nice. - the place was very typical and the atmosphere perfect Nothing
- Celine (10/5): Live the experience of real Korean housing in peace! - Everything was perfect in this establishment, the accommodation is very cute and coquettish, sleeping on the floor was really an aggressive and comfortable experience!
Patrick's welcome was very warm, and he was of great help to help us in our on-site program The area is a little less served by buses, but the charm is only better
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - It was such an amazing experience getting to stay here! The place is honestly beautiful. The room was clean and cosy, there wasn't any storage space in the room but there was plenty of floor space for our things. The kitchen facilities were good too, and Patrick was very friendly and helpful. The property was close to the metro and central Myeongdong but also far enough away that there wasn't too much noise at night. I would definitely stay here again! We had no complaints.
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natasha (9/5): Superb - Beautiful place. Very helpful host!
- Olena (9/5): Unforgettable stay in the charming Bukchon Hanok Village! - The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the beautiful historic Bukchon Hanok Village with its lovely narrow streets, cozy little shops, modern coffee houses, and traditional cafés. We walked to all the major palaces and temples nearby, and it was easy to find (and remember:) our way to the Anguk metro station. Patrick was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We truly loved our stay in this charming hanok!
- Nelly (9/5): Authentic Hanok Experience - Very authentic Hanok Vibe
Staff are very friendly, flexible and helpful
Location central and close to plenty of convenience stores, souvenir shops
Calm yet near a vibrant street if you want to go and eat late or walk around
- Yamilka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sinye (6/5): Low value of money - The location is good enough, near to the shops and restaurants.
The owner is also friendly, helpful and accommodating. The pillow is too old and thin, not comfortable to sleep.
After lying on the bed with blanket, I can feel itchiness, not sure if the blanket is clean and wash every time used.
The shower head is connected to the tap, and suddenly very cold, or turning hot easily.
Overall there were 4 groups of people shared the house with us, the door opening and closing was very annoying.
I would say the overall value of money is low.
- Anna (9/5): Very pleasent stay, I recommend the structure and the area - I liked the experience of staying in a traditional place.
I liked being in that area of the city with traditional houses and craftsman places, very nice; lively during the day and very quiet at night; very convenient location, walking distance from the royal palaces and the subway.
I was worried the bed wouldn't be so confortable, but I felt no difference w.r.t. western beds, I slept very well. And I wasn't disturbed by any noise from the other hosts. Nothing
- Megumi (9/5): Thank you to the nice owner! - I had a very comfortable time!
The owner was very kind and booked the restaurant I really wanted to visit (only available in Korean) instead,
and lent me a big umbrella at the inn on a rainy day.
I think the small umbrella I had would have gotten wet.
The owner said, "If anything happens, please contact me anytime," and it was very reassuring.
The room and bathroom were very clean. The amenities included bath towels, face towels, shampoo, treatment and body soap. "There was a water server in the kitchen, and I could get hot water.
it was a nice hanok.
I'd love to stay here. The room was small for a double room.
- Kimberly (9/5): It is a really good experience at Korea. - Really like the old transitioned homestay. Really nice and very responsive host.
- Noa (9/5): A great stay, would return - Great location, the room itself is spacious and comfortable. Compared to other Hanok stays we had-the mattress was quite comfortable. Great find!
- Toby (9/5): Superb - Great Location in a beautiful traditional house. Host was friendly and responsive. Very clean, safe and quiet.
- Alexandra-alina (9/5): Superb -
- Milda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chee (7/5): Good -
- Jordan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (9/5): Superb - super helpful host, comfy stay with everything necessary 😀
- Emily (9/5): Quaint Hanok Stay - Quaint hanok house well-located in the traditional bukchon hanok village area. It is a short walk from many cafés, shops and Anguk station. Around 20-25 minutes walk to Gyeongbokgung palace. The furnishing is minimal but comfortable and clean. The owner Patrick is very kind and helpful, he messaged to warn us about congestion around the station and let us store our luggage after check out. Thank you!
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location and place, very peaceful. We loved it ❤️
- Natalie (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (8/5): Very good -
- John (9/5): Great value for money in a beautiful old style house. - The location was excellent, as Bukchonae and its shops and restaurants are almost literally on your doorstep. The property is also very beautiful aesthetically. And the room was very comfortable and cosy. The low door in the bathroom - banged my head a couple of times till I paid attention.
- Alexandra (9/5): Superb - The room was excellent, the location very pretty and the host was super helpful, gave me very detailed info about how to get there and what to do around. Although outside was super cold, in the room the floor heating was the best which made my stay very comfortable.
- Katharina (7/5): It’s an experience - + friendly host
+ very traditional/original home
+ it’s definitely an experience for one night
- the paper on the door needs some refurbishing
- the walls need some new paint
- a bit more love to detail in the room would be appreciated
Note: for light sleepers be aware you hear everything from your neighbors (no problem for us we sleep very easily)
- Hidetaka (8/5): Great location and Comfortable sleep. - I like floor heater which help us very comfortable.
- Anna (9/5): Superb -
- Eloise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Windy (7/5): Good - The owner is a very good person and he has the best respect for me 🥰
- Torin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Xiaojian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yunting (10/5): Located in quiet lane, with traditional style hanok, room is pretty cozy, good with solo traveler to experience something - Quiet and cozy Nothing
- Fabienne (9/5): Superb - A beautiful Hanok. The room is small and sparsely furnished but there is all you need. Very nice and new bathroom. And it is cozy and warm in the room. You have a access to a small kitchen too. Lovely and helpful hosts and fast wifi. I enjoyed my stay a lot!
- Jasmin (8/5): Very good -
- Mikołaj (9/5): Lovely stay in a traditional Korean house - It's a traditional and lovely Korean house in the middle of the Bukchon Hanok village. The whole property has a great atmosphere, one could feel like they travel back in time (in a very positive sense).
Besides that, the property includes all the so-needed amenities such as AC and access to the kitchen.
- Yuji (10/5): First hanok stay but sure we will be back!! - The owners are so kind and helpful.
Very cozy and relaxing vibes here. Nothing
- Jana (10/5): This accomodation was very traditional and pretty. - Owners was very helpfull. We could borrow umbrella. There was good equipped kitchen.
Nearby was very tasty restaurant with dumplings and udon. everything was nice
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (9/5): This location is ideal and the hosts are friendly and welcoming - The property was charming, with lots of character, and in a wonderful neighbourhood perfect for visiting the palaces
- Annie (10/5): Great traditional hanok and comfortable stay. - Clean, well equipped and a room lock was provided. Bathroom is good size and a shower curtain is cleverly installed to prevent the toilet from getting wet. A rare find for a traditional house like this, will come back.
- Irin (9/5): Superb -
- Romana (9/5): Superb -
- Dimitri (8/5): Very good - The owners were incredibly kind to us during our stay. Well located in Anguk-Insadong.
- David (7/5): Great location, nice room, awkward shower for a tall person. - Great location. Traditional Korean style guest house. Helpful host. I was unaware how traditional showers work in the bathroom. In this place it’s a a bit awkward. It’s very small. It would’ve helped to have a description or clear pictures of this part. Not that bad, just unexpected and a little awkward as a tall person.
- Henry (9/5): Superb -
- Stephanie (9/5): Comfortable with everything that you need. Good location for exploring the area. - The hanok is in a quiet location and is small and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. I had no problem with sleeping on mattresses on the floor although getting up was a bit challenging at times! The shower has good pressure and was lovely and hot. I was offered a full sized towel to use. Toiletries were provided although I didn’t really like the used cake of soap on the sink.
I only met the owners once when I was dropping off my luggage before checkin and didn’t receive the arranged WhatsApp message letting me know when my room was ready. However, I had been told the necessary codes and was able to let myself in after 3. This is not the fault of the accommodation, but if you are walking up from the subway, the steps in the little alleyway next to the hanok were a struggle to get up and I would suggest walking around on the main street and coming in the front instead of the side.
Also, if you are calling an Uber, I would do so from the main street. The Uber driver was very annoyed at having to wait for me to get down the steps and out onto the street. He refused to help me with my luggage.
The rooms are not soundproof and I could hear people talking in the shared space in front of my room at night. This is more about their lack of consideration than anything else.
- Flavia (5/5): Unworth the stay - The futon bed The room was bare, I understand tradition but it looked like a " monastery cell". The towels were extra small and there were no shower towels. They didn't do any cleaning but changing the towels.it was far overpriced for what they offer ( nothing!). The most expensive ( and disappointing) place I've been while in Korea.
- Ally (7/5): Good -
- Natalia (8/5): Nice Stay - The location suited me very well for seeing all the castles and exploring the Bukchon Village. I also wanted to experience staying in the traditional hanok! This is why overall I am happy with my stay.
Sleeping on a futon might not be for everyone so make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. Surprisingly, I found it comfortable. The bathroom was very clean but the ceiling was super low. I am very tall and my head was touching the ceiling.
It was a cool experience but I think the price is a bit high for what you are getting imo
- Jan (9/5): Affordable hanok stay - The structure of the accom and owner is very responsive Perhaps new towels could be freshen up!
- Victoria (10/5): Amazing place and wonderful, kind host ! - It was incredible. The host went above and beyond to assist me with any question I had. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay there again in the future. Thank you for everything. Nothing .
